Description

Title of the invention: Ground plate for securing a crane Technical field of the invention

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a ground plate for securing a crane. State of the art

[0002] A mobile crane generally comprises a supporting frame with support means comprising a retractable and / or also pivoting support beam. On the support beam, a support cylinder that can be extended in a vertical direction is provided, which can be placed on the ground by means of a support plate. The support of the mobile crane is advantageous for its stability during lifting actions.

[0003] However, the ground is not always sufficiently load-bearing to be able to receive the force that the crane's support plate transmits to it. However, this is an essential safety criterion against ground failure (ground collapse) which can cause the crane to tip over.

[0004] In order to reduce the danger of ground collapse, ground plates are provided which distribute the force to be taken up by the crane via the wedging, over a larger area. By providing ground plates below the support plate of the crane which can be moved vertically towards the ground, the pressure on the ground is reduced.

[0005] Depending on the lifting force of the mobile crane, the type of mission and the load-bearing capacity of the ground, ground plates of different dimensions are required.

[0006] The aim of the invention is to design a ground plate which is most advantageous to manufacture and which efficiently transmits the force of the crane to be transferred to the ground.

[0007] Furthermore, according to the ground plate according to the invention, it must be possible for the crane support cylinder to be able to bear on any location on the ground plate, while allowing the forces that arise to be transferred entirely to the ground, whether the ground plate is in contact with the ground over its entire surface or over a part of its surface. In the state of the art, it often happens that the support cylinder must bear on certain areas of the ground plate for which correct operation is ensured. If one leaves these areas of the ground plate, it may happen that the ground plate itself is not stable enough and may possibly give way due to the forces transferred by the crane support plate, which may cause the crane to tilt.

[0008] These limited areas for the support of the wedging jack on the ground plate result in very laborious positioning of the ground plates. It must be taken into account that a ground plate, once placed on a floor, can only be moved with external lifting means such as a crane and that, when the wedging jack is resting on the floor plate, the floor plate can no longer be moved at all. If it then happens after positioning the floor plates that a heavier load than expected needs to be lifted, it may be necessary to first replace the floor plates so that the wedging is sufficient for such a load.

[0009] The floor plate according to the invention overcomes the disadvantages stated above and, moreover, is advantageous in manufacturing. This is achieved with a floor plate having all the characteristics of claim 1. Presentation of the invention

[0010] Thus, in accordance with the invention, it is provided that the ground plate for wedging a crane comprises a lower face intended to be placed on a ground and an upper face intended to support a crane wedging jack. The ground plate is characterized in that both surface parts of the upper face and surface parts of the lower face are formed by the same and single folded or curved sheet metal.

[0011] It may be provided that the sheet metal which constitutes both surface parts of the upper face and surface parts of the lower face, is formed in a single piece. The sheet metal is therefore formed in such a way that it extends from the upper face to the lower face and occupies a partial surface area there.

[0012] According to the invention, the surface of the ground plate which is actually in contact with a part of the crane can be considered as the upper face. The lower face is located on the opposite side, relative to the upper face, of the ground plate and constitutes the surface actually in contact with the ground.

[0013] By providing the characteristic according to the invention, according to which the sheet constitutes surface parts of both the upper face and the lower face, the method of manufacturing the floor plate is less complex and therefore more advantageous to carry out.

[0014] According to one embodiment of the invention, it may be provided that the sheet is folded or curved in a wavy manner, and preferably has, in a cross-sectional view, the shape of at least one trapezoid rounded at the corners or a rectangle rounded at the corners.

[0015] The corrugation troughs (flattened) and respectively the corrugation crests (flattened) of the folded or curved sheet then define parts of the upper face or respectively of the lower face of the plate on the ground.

[0016] Thanks to the sheet metal which includes both parts of the upper face and parts of the lower face, a very advantageous and very variable manufacturing process is possible since, even for floor plates of different dimensions, it is always possible to use a sheet metal folded or curved in the same way.

[0017] The parts of the sheet metal which generally extend obliquely between the flattened corrugation troughs or flattened corrugation crests, at the same time create a first basic stability between the parts of the upper face and the lower face, so that these parts are hereinafter called stiffeners.

[0018] Due to the corrugated shape of the sheet metal, the floor plate achieves basic stability already by simple folding or bending without requiring attachment steps such as welding, between different sheet metal parts.

[0019] Furthermore, it may be provided, according to the invention, that the sheet has a regularity of the structure obtained by folding or bending, preferably in such a way that a change of the sheet from one of the sides to the other side is carried out regularly at an equal distance and / or is always carried out in the same way.

[0020] The regularity of the structure of the sheet simplifies its manufacture and makes possible constant dimensions for complementary components cooperating with the sheet.

[0021] According to an optional modification of the invention, it may be provided that, in a transition zone from one side to the other side, the sheet constitutes a stiffener which increases the stability of the plate on the ground.

[0022] It may then be provided that, in a space of the sheet defined by neighboring stiffeners, at least one stabilizing rib is inserted, said at least one stabilizing rib being fixed to the stiffeners, in particular being welded onto them.

[0023] Thus, at least one stabilizing rib can be inserted into the corrugation trough which is formed by two corrugation crests contiguous to each other, to further increase the stability of the plate on the ground.

[0024] This stabilizing rib can adapt to the contour of the corrugation trough, so that a continuous contact between the sheet and the stabilizing rib is given in the corrugation trough. Said at least one stabilizing rib can be oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the corrugation trough. Furthermore, in a common corrugation trough of the sheet, several stabilizing ribs can be spaced equidistantly from each other. This makes constant stability possible over the entire surface of the ground plate, so that there is no preferred area for the installation of the crane support plate. According to an alternative embodiment, stabilizing ribs can be provided with different distances. With this embodiment, it is no longer possible for the support plate to transfer its force to any location. But this simplifies the manufacturing process.Fewer parts are needed and the length of the weld bead is reduced.

[0025] Thus, it may be provided that several stabilizing ribs which are received in a common space formed by neighboring stiffeners or by a stiffener and a wall, have the same distance between them, preferably, stabilizing ribs which are received in another space formed by stiffeners, have the same distance between them.

[0026] According to one embodiment of the invention, it may be provided that the front face of the ground plate peripherally connecting the upper face and the lower face of the ground plate, is closed by suitable sheet metal elements, the sheet metal elements extending perpendicular to a surface defined by the upper face or the lower face.

[0027] According to another optional modification of the invention, it may be provided that the area(s) not covered by the sheet on the upper face and the lower face, are covered by at least one covering sheet, so that the upper face and the lower face respectively have or form a continuous flat surface.

[0028] Thus, a hollow formed by a corrugation hollow of the sheet can be covered by a corresponding cover sheet in such a way that the neighboring corrugation hollows are connected to each other, preferably by a flat surface. This is obviously also valid for the underside of the plate on the ground. The area between two corrugation hollows which enclose a corrugation crest is covered identically. For the person skilled in the art, it is clear that, when there is a regular structure of the sheet, the plate on the ground is turned over and, on the underside now at the top, similar or identical work steps are carried out.

[0029] Furthermore, it may be provided here that said at least one cover sheet comprises at least one slot which allows the welding of a stabilizing rib which is arranged between the sheet and the cover sheet. But it may also be provided that the cover sheet is divided into several sheets for covering the hollow of a corrugation hollow.

[0030] The cover sheet closes the space in which at least one stabilizing rib is arranged, so that a permanent connection, for example a welded connection, is not easily possible between the stabilizing rib and the face of the cover sheet facing the inside of the ground plate.

[0031] For this purpose, slots can be provided at suitable locations on the roofing sheet, which make it possible, when laying the roofing sheet on the respective corrugation trough, to weld the stabilizing ribs arranged inside the ground plate to the roofing sheet. Advantageously, the slots are arranged at positions on the roofing sheet which correspond to the positions of the stabilizing ribs.

[0032] Furthermore, it may advantageously be provided that surfaces of the upper face or the lower face which are adjacent but separated by the folding or the bending of the sheet metal, are connected to each other only by a cover sheet which, preferably, is formed in one piece.

[0033] In other words, there is exactly one cover sheet to cover a corrugation trough.

[0034] It will be clear to those skilled in the art that corresponding cover sheets may be present, or a corresponding cover sheet is present, on the underside of the ground plate.

[0035] According to a preferred modification of the invention, it may be provided that several sheets are provided which each constitute surface parts of the lower face and surface parts of the upper face, several sheets being attached, in particular being welded, to each other, the connecting line, in particular a weld bead, of two contiguous sheets preferably extending in the upper face or in the lower face.

[0036] Thus, it is easily possible to manufacture wider floor plates whose dimensions exceed those of the manufactured sheets. From a sheet manufactured in large quantities, it is therefore possible to produce floor plates with different dimensions, which can be used for different types of crane.

[0037] According to yet another advantageous modification, it may be provided that the floor plate has essentially the outer contour of a parallelepiped, preferably at least one recess being present in this outer contour for the arrangement of a receiving means which is preferably configured in such a way that the systematically rectangular structure defined by the outer faces is not exceeded by the receiving means.

[0038] In addition, it may be provided that said at least two recesses for the arrangement of a respective receiving means are arranged at the floor plate opposite each other, preferably at each of the four corners of a substantially rectangular floor plate, a recess being provided in each of which a receiving means is arranged.

[0039] Thus, two or four receiving means may be provided on opposite sides of the ground plate for lifting the ground plate using a lifting means. Providing receiving means at each of the four corners on the upper face of the essentially parallelepiped ground plate is also included in the invention.

[0040] According to another optional embodiment of the invention, it may be provided that each of the receiving means is connected to a corner sheet which is in contact, preferably in direct contact, both with the sheet of the upper face adjacent to the corner, and with the sheet of the lower face adjacent to the corner, and with the two sheets of the front face extending to the corner. Brief description of the drawings

[0041] Other features, details and advantages of the present invention will emerge from the following description of the figures. These figures are [Fig.l] a perspective representation of a mobile crane whose support beams are supported on plates on the ground, [Fig.2] a perspective representation of a floor plate according to the invention, [Fig.3a] a perspective representation of an upper face of a floor plate according to the invention without cover plates, [Fig.3b] a perspective representation of a lower face of a ground plate according to the invention without cover plates, [Fig.3c] an enlarged representation of a sheet metal folded into a trapezoidal shape, [Fig.4] several stacked ground plates which are attached to a slinging attachment, and [Fig.5] a detail view of a means of receiving the ground plate, attached to the slinging accessory. Description of the embodiments

[0042] [Fig.l] shows a perspective representation of a mobile crane 1 whose support beams are supported, by means of a support jack 4 and a support plate 5, on ground plates 7.

[0043] Thanks to the support on the ground plates 7, the danger of a collapse of the ground is reduced, since the support surface via which the force is transferred into the ground is enlarged.

[0044] Thus, the mobile crane can also work on less stable ground without incurring the danger of tipping over by lifting. In the figure, for reasons of clarity, the mobile crane is represented only by its supporting frame 2, while the rotating part with the crane boom is not represented.

[0045] [Fig. 2] shows a perspective representation of a floor plate 7 according to the invention. The floor plate 7 comprises a central sheet 100 which is folded or curved. It can be seen that the wavy-folded or curved sheet 100 constitutes parts of the upper face 715 or respectively parts of the lower face 716. The areas 101 (see [Fig. 3a]) between these are inner areas in the floor plate 7 on which the sheet 100 forms stiffeners 101.

[0046] The essentially parallelepiped-shaped structure of the ground plate is recognized, which is constituted by the upper face 715, the lower face 716 and the front faces 711, 712 connecting the former. At each of the four corners, a recess 104 is provided in the parallelepiped structure in which a receiving means 20 is provided for lifting the ground plate 7.

[0047] The sheet 100 has a corrugated structure and extends from the upper face 715 to the lower face 716 and back. The part of the upper face 715 not covered by the sheet 100 is covered with a cover sheet 103, so that the face 715 constitutes an essentially flat surface. Similarly, what has just been described also applies to the lower face 716 of the ground plate, since here too the parts of the lower face 716 not covered by the sheet 100 are arranged, using at least one cover sheet, into an essentially flat surface.

[0048] The weld bead 1001 extending over the upper face 715 attaches several sheets 100 to each other, each of which constitutes at least a portion of the upper face and the lower face.

[0049] [Fig.3a] shows a perspective representation of an upper face 715 of a floor plate 7 according to the invention without cover plates 103, so that the internal structure can be seen.

[0050] It can be seen that in the areas normally covered by the cover plate 103 or the cover plates, there are stabilizing ribs 1021 which are arranged in a corrugation trough of the sheet with a constant distance from each other. These ribs 1021 are firmly attached to the sheet, for example welded.

[0051] The ribs 1021 may be sheet metal elements whose contours are adapted to the corrugation trough, so that forces can be transferred via these ribs from the upper face to the lower face and vice versa. The ribs 1021 may be surface elements which are supported, by their front face, on the upper or respectively lower face of the ground plate 7.

[0052] The transition zones of the sheet 100 which exist between the upper face 715 and the lower face 716, serve as stiffeners 101 and transfer forces already transferred in the upper or lower face, towards the other face.

[0053] [Fig.3b] is a perspective representation of a lower face 716 of a ground plate according to the invention without cover plates 103.

[0054] Unlike what is shown in [Fig. 3a], there is here not just one type of stabilizing ribs 1021, but another type 1022. This second type is located at the end areas of the ground plate 7 and is not only in contact with the sheet 100 and the cover plate 103 but also with the front face 711 of the ground plate 7. Since the front face does not continue the corrugated shape of the sheet, the area of the rib 1022 which is in contact with the front face has a different shape than that of the area of the rib 1021. However, the distance from each other between the ribs 1021, 1022 of the same type can be the same in the different corrugation troughs and in the end areas. It is necessary to provide the second type of ribs 1022 so that the complete contour 71 of the ground plate 7 is as close as possible to that of a parallelepiped.

[0055] Furthermore, the figure also shows the distance 120 that the corrugated structure of the sheet 100 has.

[0056] [Fig. 3c] shows an enlarged representation of a sheet metal 100 folded into a trapezoidal shape, seen in cross section. The bending angle 121 is to be chosen appropriately as is the bending radius 122. It is at least 90°, but preferably greater than 90° to obtain the trapezoidal shape. The trapezoidal shape is particularly advantageous for the transfer of forces and for manufacturing reasons. In addition, the trapezoid distributes the transferred force better and over a larger area.

[0057] [Fig.4] shows several ground plates 7 stacked on top of each other which are attached to a slinging means 8.

[0058] As already explained, it is necessary to use ground plates 7 when the ground on a construction site is not sufficiently load-bearing. In general, a ground plate 7 must be placed under each support plate 5 of the mobile crane 1. The four ground plates 7 are to be positioned when the mobile crane 1 is set up. It is then advantageous for the mobile crane 1 to do this itself autonomously. Thus, a transport vehicle brings the heavy ground plates 7 to the location of the mission by delivering the four ground plates 7 stacked like a package.

[0059] The mobile crane 1 grips the stack of ground plates 7, using a slinging means 8, at the receiving devices 20, lifts the stack and positions the stack at the location intended for the first ground plate 7. When the stack is placed on the ground 6, an assistant detaches the slinging means 8 from the receiving devices 20 of the lowest ground plate 7 and attaches the slinging means 8 to the receiving devices 20 of the second lowest ground plate 7. This is repeated until the last ground plate 7 is placed at the intended mission location.

[0060] The stacking of the ground plates 7 is carried out in reverse order to remove them from the construction site. In order to give a clear center of gravity of the ground plate 7 with respect to the receiving devices 20, at least two receiving devices 20 are required per ground plate 7. However, in general, four receiving devices 20 are provided for stable movement of the ground plate 7. However, it is clear to the person skilled in the art that the invention is not limited to the proposed number of receiving devices 20. Likewise, it is also not necessary to limit the position of the receiving devices 20 to corners. Thus, it is also conceivable to provide one receiving device 20 on each side face or to arrange two receiving devices 20 on each of two opposite side faces.

[0061] Since the ground plates 7 are heavy and must be handled on a construction site as large heavy loads, it is necessary to protect the receiving devices 20 from damage. For this purpose, it is proposed to arrange the devices receiving 20 essentially set back, inside the general contour 71 of the ground plate 7. This can be done at any location on the ground plate 7, knowing that the position of the four corners of the ground plate 7, on the upper face or on the lower face, has proven to be advantageous.

[0062] In [Fig. 4], the extensions of the side faces 711, 712 are shown, so that it is recognized that the respective receiving devices 20 are arranged inside the extensions of the two surfaces 711, 712. When two parts come into contact on the construction site, the stable side faces 711, 712 generally absorb the shock and the receiving devices 20 are protected.

[0063] [Fig. 5] shows a detail view of a receiving device 20 of the ground plate 7 attached to a slinging means 8. What should be mentioned in addition is the protrusion 23 at the receiving devices 20. The protrusion 23 protrudes from the upper face 715 of the ground plate 7. In this way, it is not protected from damage, but is massive and is provided with bevels. The underside of the ground plate 7 has a corresponding edge shape, so that when two ground plates 7 are stacked, the protrusion 23 is surrounded by the edge shape. The bevels help to align the two ground plates 7 with each other. When the two ground plates 7 rest on each other, a sufficient form complementarity is achieved which is securely maintained by the weight of the upper ground plate 7.

[0064] Furthermore, the transmission of forces from the receiving device 20 to the steel carcass of the floor plate 7 must be taken into account. This is particularly important, since the mobile crane 1 moves the floor plates 7 in stacked condition. For this purpose, a specifically bent corner plate 717 is provided which is attached to many sheet metal parts of the floor plate 7. In the present case, these are the sheets of the upper face 715, the lower face 716 and the sheets of the adjacent faces 711, 712. Likewise, a sheet 7171 for discharging forces and for reinforcement can be provided which is connected both to the receiving devices 20 and to the corner plate 717.
