Description

Title of the invention: INTENSIFIER AND ATOMISTER USING THE INTENSIFIER technical field

[0001] The present disclosure relates to an intensifier and an atomizer using an intensifier. Previous technique

[0002] Traditionally, an intensifier has been commonly used as a device for pressurizing a fluid or raw material. By pressurizing a fluid such as water to 100 to 250 MPa using the intensifier, high-pressure water is used in various applications such as cleaning, cutting, breaking, etc. Furthermore, high-value materials have been developed using the intensifier to pressurize raw materials such as pharmaceutical materials, semiconductor materials, electronic materials, or chemical materials, or by forming fine particles through high-pressure fluid collisions of the pressurized raw materials, thereby modifying their physical and other properties.

[0003] Furthermore, when high cleanliness is required or when the device is used for a variety of pressurized raw materials, it has become necessary to develop an intensifier to enable cleaning and prevent contamination of the raw material inside the device or system. To solve such problems, an intensifier is proposed comprising a primary cylinder for pressurizing the raw material and a secondary cylinder for performing cleaning and evacuation when the raw material leaks from the primary cylinder, thus preventing contamination of the processing liquid contained in the secondary cylinder (see, for example, Japanese patent application publication H06-207585).

[0004] In the conventional intensifier, the secondary cylinders are arranged at both ends of the primary cylinder. Thus, the device is oversized, which poses problems in terms of space and cost.

[0005] In addition, the conventional intensifier presents a difficulty in cleaning the inside of the primary cylinder or the components constituting the intensifier, while preventing leakage of the pressurized raw material and allowing a high level of cleanliness treatment to be carried out.

[0006] In the case of highly adhesive and abrasive pressurized raw materials, they can penetrate the inside of the intensifier through a small gap when the piston slide. In this case, if the piston is not properly cleaned, the pressurized material adhering to the piston surface will exert excessive load on the sliding piston, which may damage the seal and the internal surface of the bottom adapter. Technical problem

[0007] An object of the present invention is to provide an intensifier and an atomizer using the intensifier which allow the parts where the material under pressure adheres to be cleaned without dismantling the interior. Technical solution

[0008] One or more aspects of the present invention provide(s) an intensifier configured to pressurize a raw material by means of a fluid supplied by a drive pump, the intensifier comprising: a low-pressure cylinder to which the fluid is supplied; a high-pressure cylinder fixed to the low-pressure cylinder; a piston configured to slide inside the low-pressure cylinder and the high-pressure cylinder by means of the supply of the fluid to the low-pressure cylinder; a bottom adapter configured to pivotally support the piston; and a resin part disposed on an internal periphery of the bottom adapter. Benefits provided

[0009] Depending on the intensifier and the atomizer using the intensifier, the parts where the pressurized raw material adheres can be cleaned without disassembling the internal components. Brief description of the drawings

[0016] Embodiments are described below with reference to the drawings as appropriate.

[0017] Atomizer configuration

[0018] As illustrated in [Fig. 1], an atomizer 100 comprises a raw material reservoir 101, a feed pump 102, an intensifier 1, an ultra-high-pressure filter 103, and an ejection chamber 104. The raw material reservoir 101 stores the raw material M (slurry). The feed pump 102 pumps the raw material M from the raw material reservoir 101. The intensifier 1 pressurizes the raw material M supplied by the feed pump 102. The ultra-high-pressure filter 103 filters the pressurized raw material M. The ejection chamber 104 performs an atomization process.

[0019] Structure of the intensifier

[0020] As illustrated in [Fig. 2], the intensifier 1 of the present embodiment comprises a piston 2, a low-pressure cylinder 3, and a high-pressure cylinder 4. The high-pressure cylinder 4 has a orifice 4c. When a drive pump P (hydraulic pump) supplies fluid O to the low-pressure cylinder 3, the piston 2 slides toward the high-pressure side to pressurize the raw material M supplied from the feed pump 102 to the high-pressure cylinder 4 through the orifice 4c at 100 to 245 MPa. The piston 2 comprises a piston body 2a and a plunger 2b. The piston body 2a slides inside the low-pressure cylinder 3. The plunger 2b slides inside the high-pressure cylinder 4.In particular, the plunger 2b is made of a material having pressure resistance, heat resistance and shock resistance, because the plunger 2b comes into contact with the raw material M at the distal end and slides repeatedly in a pressurized state, .

[0021] The low-pressure cylinder 3 and the high-pressure cylinder 4 are each cylindrical in shape. The low-pressure cylinder 3 and the high-pressure cylinder 4 are pressure-resistant cylinders for pressurizing the raw material M to a pressure of 100 to 245 MPa. The hole 4c is a passage for supplying the raw material M from the liquid feed pump 102. The hole 4c is smaller than the internal diameter of the high-pressure cylinder 4.

[0022] The high-pressure cylinder 4 comprises an internal high-pressure cylinder 4a and an external high-pressure cylinder 4b. The internal high-pressure cylinder 4a has a space for pressurizing the raw material. The external high-pressure cylinder 4b is arranged around the internal high-pressure cylinder 4a. The internal high-pressure cylinder 4a has high pressure resistance and strong surface resistance against raw material M or similar. The external high-pressure cylinder 4b is made of a material to securely fasten the components together. Providing distinct characteristics to the internal high-pressure cylinder 4a and the external high-pressure cylinder 4b improves the operation of the high-pressure cylinder 4.

[0023] A reliable fixing of the low-pressure cylinder 3 and the high-pressure cylinder 4 forms a single cylinder. A cylinder support 5 is disposed between the low-pressure cylinder 3 and the high-pressure cylinder 4 to relieve the load applied to each of the low-pressure cylinder 3 and the high-pressure cylinder 4. The cylinder support 5, which has a cylindrical shape, fixes the low-pressure cylinder 3 and the high-pressure cylinder 4.

[0024] The low-pressure cylinder 3 and the high-pressure cylinder 4 are sealed, respectively. Thus, the fluid O in the low-pressure cylinder 3 and the raw material M in the high-pressure cylinder 4 are not mixed.

[0025] Here, by simply partitioning the cylinder (the low-pressure cylinder 3, the high-pressure cylinder 4), the fluid O or the raw material M could penetrate due to the positional shift or sliding when the piston 2 moves. Thus, a bottom adapter 6 and a fixing part 7 are arranged on the high-pressure cylinder 4 to improve the stability of the device.

[0026] As illustrated in [Fig. 3] to 5, the bottom adapter 6 pivotally supports the piston 2. The plunger 2b passes through the bottom adapter 6. The fixing part 7 stably fixes the bottom adapter 6 inside the high-pressure cylinder 4. The fixing part 7 is held between the high-pressure cylinder 4 and the bottom adapter 6.

[0027] The surface of the bottom adapter 6 can wear due to the sliding of the piston 2 over a long period. A resin portion 10 is disposed on an inner periphery of the bottom adapter 6 to reduce the sliding load on the bottom adapter 6 and the piston 2. The resin portion 10 is removably attached inside the bottom adapter 6. Thus, the resin portion 10 is replaceable when it wears due to the sliding of the piston 2. This eliminates the need to replace a large component such as the bottom adapter 6, thereby reducing maintenance costs.

[0028] The material of the resin part 10 preferably has high pressure resistance, heat resistance, and impact resistance. The material of the resin part 10 is, for example, a thermoplastic resin. In addition, a chemical charge can be applied to the surface of the internal high-pressure cylinder 4a or the plunger 2b when a treatment is carried out using a solvent relative to the material First M. In such a case, using a resin part 10 material suitable for various solvents (acid resistance, alkali resistance, or similar) improves the lifespan of the resin part 10

[0029] Arranging the various sealing elements in addition to the bottom adapter 6, which pivotally supports the piston 2, improves the sealing property. As illustrated in [Fig. 2], a low-pressure side sealing element 8 and a high-pressure side sealing element 9 are arranged at one or both ends of the bottom adapter 6. The low-pressure side sealing element 8 and the high-pressure side sealing element 9 are, for example, elastic elements or gaskets. Furthermore, a spacer 11 on the low-pressure side of the bottom adapter 6 reliably seals the penetration of the raw material M into the low-pressure side or the inward flow of the cleaning fluid L. The spacer 11 is arranged in such a way that the plunger 2b is able to slide. The spacer 11 closes the low-pressure end of the bottom adapter 6.The spacer connects a distal end that presses against the end of the base adapter 6 so as not to block a cleaning fluid drain hole 15 and a resin groove 10a. The distal end of the spacer connects a thickness equivalent to the thickness of the resin part 10. This properly fixes and seals the base adapter 6 and the spacer 11.

[0030] Structure of the cleaning flow path

[0031] As illustrated in [Fig.4], a cleaning flow path in the intensifier 1 according to the present embodiment includes a cleaning fluid supply orifice 14 formed in the bottom adapter 6, a cleaning fluid discharge orifice 15, a resin groove 10a of the resin part 10, and a cleaning flow path 16.

[0032] The cleaning fluid supply port 14 is a flow path formed on the high-pressure side of the bottom adapter 6. The cleaning fluid L is supplied from a cleaning fluid supply source Q to the cleaning fluid supply port 14. When the bottom adapter 6 is secured by the mounting part 7, the high-pressure cylinder 4 or the cylinder support 5 or similar, a cleaning inlet 12 is formed as a flow path to connect the components. The cleaning fluid L is supplied from the cleaning inlet 12 to the cleaning fluid supply port 14.

[0033] The cleaning fluid discharge port 15 is a flow path formed on the low-pressure side of the bottom adapter 6. The cleaning fluid L is discharged outwards through the cleaning fluid discharge port 15. When the bottom adapter 6 is secured by the fastening part 7, the high-pressure cylinder 4 or In the cylinder support 5 or similar, a cleaning outlet 13 is formed as a flow path to connect the components. The cleaning fluid L is discharged externally from the cleaning outlet 13 via the cleaning flow path 16.

[0034] A plurality of cleaning fluid supply ports 14 and a plurality of cleaning fluid discharge ports 15 are arranged uniformly in the circumferential direction of the bottom adapter 6. This washes the raw material M penetrating the periphery of the bottom adapter 6 with the cleaning fluid L.

[0035] The cleaning outlet 13 is arranged in a coaxial or slightly offset position from the cleaning inlet 12. Figures 2 to 4 show the case where the cleaning outlet 13 is arranged in a slightly offset position relative to the cleaning inlet 12. The cleaning outlet 13 discharges the cleaning fluid L from the cleaning fluid discharge port 15 through the cleaning flow path 16 without communicating with the cleaning fluid supply port 14.

[0036] The cleaning flow path 16 is a flow path for evacuating the cleaning fluid L from the cleaning fluid discharge port 15 to the outside. In a state where the base adapter 6 and the fixing part 7 are fixed, the cleaning flow path 16 is formed on the outer periphery of the base part and the inner periphery of the fixing part 7. An excessively large flow path negatively affects the fixing state of the base adapter 6 and the fixing part 7; therefore, the flow path is formed by the minimum necessary space.

[0037] The cleaning fluid L supplied at the cleaning inlet 12 passes through the cleaning fluid supply orifice 14 to reach the space between the high-pressure side of the inner periphery of the bottom adapter 6 and the plunger 2b. The cleaning fluid L then passes through the resin groove 10a, the cleaning fluid discharge orifice 15, and the cleaning flow path 16 to be discharged from the cleaning outlet 13. The cleaning fluid L, circulated around the outer periphery of the bottom adapter 6 before being discharged, cleans the entire periphery of the bottom adapter 6.

[0038] The resin groove 10a is formed on the outer periphery of the resin part 10. The space between the inner peripheral surface of the bottom adapter 6 and the resin groove 10a becomes part of the cleaning flow path through which the cleaning fluid L supplied from the cleaning fluid supply port 14 passes during internal cleaning. The plurality of resin grooves 10a are arranged uniformly in the circumferential direction. This cleans the raw material M entering the bottom adapter 6 with the cleaning fluid L. The resin groove 10a can have any shape, such as a polygonal shape or an arc shape, as long as the width allows the raw material M to be discharged with the cleaning liquid L. In addition, any number (four, six, eight or similar) of resin grooves 10a can be formed as long as the resin grooves 10a are arranged uniformly in the circumferential direction.

[0039] Furthermore, the atomizer 100, comprising the intensifier 1 according to this embodiment, simultaneously performs cleaning and cooling during the pressurization of the raw material M without stopping the atomizer 100, thus reducing working time. In addition, the atomizer 100 is applicable as a cooling mechanism before, during, or after the pressurization of the raw material M.

[0040] A method for treating the atomizer 100 according to this embodiment is described below.

[0041] First, the raw material M to be processed is placed in the raw material tank 101 to be adjusted to a slurry state. Then, the raw material M in the raw material tank 101 is supplied to the intensifier 1 by the feed pump 102. The supplied raw material M is pressurized by the intensifier 1. Then, the pressurized raw material M is supplied to the ejection chamber 104 after passing through the ultra-high-pressure filter 103. This process can be repeated multiple times, not just once.

[0042] Here, the procedure of the cleaning process in the intensifier 1 is described in detail.

[0043] First, the cleaning fluid L is supplied from the cleaning fluid supply source Q to the cleaning fluid supply port 14 during the pressurization process of the raw material M. When the bottom adapter 6 is secured by the mounting part 7 or the cylinder support 5, the cleaning fluid L is supplied from the cleaning inlet 12 to the cleaning fluid supply port 14. A plurality of cleaning fluid supply ports 14 are arranged evenly in the circumferential direction. Thus, the cleaning fluid L flows through the space from the outer periphery of the high-pressure side of the bottom adapter 6 and from the inner periphery of the mounting part 7 around its entire circumference to clean the outer periphery of the high-pressure side of the bottom adapter 6.

[0044] Next, the cleaning fluid L passes from a plurality of cleaning fluid supply orifices 14 arranged uniformly in the circumferential direction through a portion of the inner periphery of the low pressure side of the bottom adapter 6 and the inner periphery of the plunger 2b to clean the resin groove 10a.

[0045] In addition, the cleaning fluid L is evacuated from the cleaning fluid evacuation port 15. When the bottom adapter 6 is fixed by the fixing part 7 or the cylinder support 5, the cleaning fluid L is evacuated from the cleaning outlet 13 communicating with the cleaning fluid evacuation port 15.

[0046] Placing the position of the cleaning outlet 13 in a coaxial or offset position of the cleaning inlet 12, and forming the cleaning flow path 16 which is a space between the bottom adapter 6 and the fixing part 7 allows the external periphery of the bottom adapter 6 to be cleaned. In this case, the cleaning liquid L evacuated from the cleaning liquid evacuation orifice 15 passes through the cleaning flow path 16 to clean the section up to the cleaning outlet 13.

[0047] This series of internal cleanings cleans the raw material M penetrating the inner and outer periphery of the bottom adapter 6.

[0048] The description outlines the cleaning process, but the present invention can also be applied to a cooling mechanism before, during, or after pressurizing the raw material. Furthermore, during the pressurization of the raw material M, simultaneously performing cleaning and cooling without stopping the atomizer 100 reduces working time.

[0049] As described above, the present invention is not limited to the embodiment described above, and it goes without saying that the present invention can be modified appropriately without departing from its spirit. List of reference signs
