Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Vehicle seat, in particular a railway vehicle, vehicle body, in particular a railway vehicle, comprising such a seat and vehicle, in particular a railway vehicle, comprising such a body
[0001] The present invention relates to a passenger seat for a vehicle, in particular a railway vehicle, a vehicle body, in particular a railway vehicle, comprising such a passenger seat and a vehicle, in particular a railway vehicle, comprising such a body.
[0002] In the field of passenger transport, particularly rail transport, it is known to provide a passenger compartment in which passenger seats are aligned one behind the other, most often parallel to a direction of travel of the vehicle. Some seats are thus located behind other seats and it is known to provide, at the rear of the back of a seat, a shelf for a passenger seated behind this seat, so that the passenger can place various objects on this shelf, particularly an electronic device comprising a screen, such as an electronic tablet or a smartphone.
[0003] It is known from WO-2016 / 140631-Al to provide parallel notches across the entire surface of the tablet to wedge an electronic device both on the tablet and on the rear face of the back of the seat located in front, so that the screen of the electronic device remains oriented towards the user. Such a tablet, however, limits the possibilities of use. For example, it is not possible to write on a sheet of paper placed on this tablet.
[0004] It is these problems that the invention more particularly intends to remedy, by proposing a passenger seat comprising a tablet which is more practical to use.
[0005] To this end, the invention relates to a seat for passengers of a vehicle, in particular a railway vehicle, the seat comprising a seat connected to a backrest, which has a front face, oriented towards the seat, and an opposite rear face. The seat also comprises a tray, comprising a plate with an upper face, the plate being mounted on the rear face of the backrest by means of a hinge defining a hinge axis, so that the plate is rotatable relative to the backrest about the hinge axis between a stowed position, in which the upper face of the plate is oriented opposite the rear face of the backrest, and an open position, in which the upper surface of the plate is oriented upwards, the plate defining a length, measured radially to the hinge axis between an inner edge and an outer edge of the plate. The upper face of the tray has a retaining relief, which defines a depth measured orthogonally to the upper face and . which is configured to prevent the slipping of objects placed on the upper face of the tray. According to the invention, the upper face of the tray comprises an internal zone and a complementary peripheral zone, the internal zone extending from the internal edge of the tray over a distance less than 80% of the length of the tray, preferably less than 50%. The retaining relief is provided on the internal zone of the tray, while the peripheral zone is substantially smooth and devoid of retaining relief.
[0006] Thanks to the invention, the retaining relief provided on the internal portion prevents an electronic device, such as a smartphone, resting on the tablet and supported on the rear face of the seat of which the tablet is part, from sliding. Furthermore, the peripheral portion being smooth, a passenger sitting on the rear seat can write on a sheet of paper placed on this peripheral portion or place other objects there, such as a cup or a bottle of water.
[0007] According to advantageous but not mandatory aspects of the invention, such a passenger seat may incorporate one or more of the following features taken in any technically admissible combination:
[0008] - the depth of the retaining relief decreases as the relief is moved away from the hinge axis. - The internal zone comprises a main portion, located in the vicinity of the internal edge, and a transition portion complementary to the main portion, located between the main portion and the peripheral zone, while a portion of the retaining relief provided in the main portion has a depth of between 5 mm and 20 mm, and a portion of the retaining relief provided in the transition portion has a depth of less than 5 mm and which decreases as the retaining relief is moved away from the hinge axis. - The tray comprises a central part and a complementary peripheral part, the central part being movable in rotation relative to the peripheral part around an axis of rotation coinciding with the hinge axis between a stored position, in which an upper face of the central part is opposite the rear face of the backrest, and an open position, in which the upper face of the central part is oriented upwards, while the upper face of the central part is included in the internal zone of the tray. - The hinge is configured so that when a passenger moves the peripheral portion from its stowed position to its open position, the central portion is driven to its open position, the upper surfaces of the central and peripheral portions in the open position being coplanar, whereas when a user moves the central portion from its stowed position to its open position, the peripheral portion is not driven to its open position open. - The upper face of the central part is included in the main portion of the internal zone. - The retaining relief presents a succession of bumps and hollows arranged in a repetitive pattern which extend in a direction substantially parallel to the hinge axis. - Two successive bosses are separated by a distance, measured radially to the hinge axis, greater than 8 mm, preferably greater than 10 mm, and less than 40 mm, preferably less than 30 mm.
[0009] The invention also relates to a vehicle body, in particular a railway vehicle, the body delimiting at least one passenger compartment in which passenger seats are arranged, at least one of the seats being as described previously.
[0010] The invention finally relates to a vehicle, in particular a railway vehicle, comprising at least one body as described above.
[0011] The invention will be better understood and other advantages thereof will appear more clearly in the light of the following description of two embodiments of a passenger seat, of a vehicle body comprising such a seat and of a vehicle comprising such a body, in accordance with its principle, given solely by way of example and with reference to the appended drawings, in which:
[0012] - [Fig.l] [Fig.l] is a section of a passenger transport vehicle according to the invention, comprising a body and seats according to the invention; - [Fig.2] [Fig.2] is a perspective view of detail II in [Fig.l], comprising a passenger seat according to a first embodiment of the invention; - [Fig.3] [Fig.3] is an enlarged view of the passenger seat of [Fig.2], observed along arrow III marked on [Fig.2], and - [Fig.4] [Fig.4] is a perspective view similar to [Fig.2], of a seat for passenger according to a second embodiment of the invention.
[0013] A vehicle 1 is shown in [Fig.l]. The vehicle 1 is a passenger transport vehicle, which comprises a body 2 delimiting a compartment 20 for receiving passengers. In the example illustrated, the vehicle 1 is a railway vehicle, intended to travel on a railway track 3. More particularly, the vehicle 1 is here a train, which comprises two superimposed compartments 20 separated by an intermediate floor 22. In a variant not shown, the train 1 may be composed of several cars, each with a body 2. In a variant not shown, the vehicle 1 may be a tram, or a road vehicle such as a coach, a transport vehicle air, or even a maritime transport vehicle.
[0014] The body 2 of the vehicle 1 is here shown placed on the rails of the railway track 3 and extends in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the body defining an axis X. For convenience, a Z axis is also defined as being a vertical axis, as well as a Y axis oriented so that the X, Y and Z axes form a direct orthonormal reference frame. The Y axis defines a transverse direction of the body 2.
[0015] In the remainder of the description, spatial references such as top, bottom, horizontal, vertical, right, left, etc., are made with reference to the orientation of the vehicle 1 in the drawings, and do not prejudge any direction of operation of the elements described in reality.
[0016] Each of the compartments 20 is delimited by a floor 22, which is here horizontal, and side walls 24, which are connected to the floor 22. The vehicle 1 also comprises seats 4 for passengers, which are arranged in each compartment 20 and are fixed to the body 2, for example fixed to the floor 22 and / or to one of the side walls 24. For reasons of passenger comfort, the seats 4 are generally aligned parallel to a direction of movement of the vehicle 1, that is to say here parallel to the axis X. Each seat 4 defines a location, generally numbered, intended to accommodate a single passenger, in a seated position. A seat 4 can thus be isolated, or be integrated into a bench seat intended to accommodate two passengers, or even more.In the example illustrated in Figures 2 to 5, two seats 4 are integrated into a two-seater bench, the present description being of course valid in the case of an isolated seat 4 or in the case of three seats 4 integrated into the same bench, or even more.
[0017] Each seat 4 comprises a seat 40 and a backrest 42, which are connected along a transverse axis of the seat 4. In the example illustrated, all the seats 4 are aligned along the X axis for reasons of passenger comfort, in particular during acceleration or deceleration phases of the vehicle 1. The transverse direction of each seat 4 is parallel to the Y axis. Of course, other configurations are possible, even if generally the seats 4 are aligned along the direction of the X axis.
[0018] Each backrest 42 has a front face 421, oriented towards the seat 40 of this seat 4, and a rear face 422, oriented opposite the front face 421. When considering two consecutive seats 4, that is to say here two seats 4 immediately adjacent to each other and aligned in the direction of the axis X, the seats 4 are either arranged opposite each other, that is to say the front faces 421 of the backrests 42 of these two seats 4 are oriented opposite each other, or arranged in opposition, that is to say the front faces 421 of the two backrests 42 are oriented opposite each other, or oriented in the same direction, that is to say the front faces 421 of the two backrests 42 are oriented in the same direction.
[0019] When two seats 4 are oriented in the same direction, the one of the two seats 4 whose front face 421 is opposite the rear face 422 of the backrest 42 of the other seat 4 is called the “rear seat”, while the other seat 4 is called the “front seat”. Thus, a passenger, seated in a rear seat 4, is seated opposite the rear face 422 of the backrest 42 of the front seat 4 located in front of him.
[0020] At least one front seat 4 comprises a tablet 6, mounted on the rear face 422 of this front seat 4, the tablet 6 being intended for a passenger seated on the rear seat 4.
[0021] In [Fig.l], the shelves 6 shown are in an open position, in which the shelf 6 is generally parallel to the floor 22 of the compartment 20 in which the shelf 6 is located. The vehicle 1 being here shown horizontal, each shelf 6 in the open position is here horizontal, or almost horizontal.
[0022] In [Fig. 2], two tablets 6 are shown, the tablet 6 on the left of [Fig. 2] being in the open position, while the tablet 6 on the right of [Fig. 2] is in a so-called "stored" position, in which this tablet 6 is parallel to the rear face 422 of the backrest 42. The tablets 6 of the same vehicle 1 all operate in the same way and are preferably identical to each other. Thus, what is described for the tablet 6 of one of the seats 4 is also valid for the tablet 6 of the other seats 4 equipped with a tablet.
[0023] Each tablet 6 comprises a tray 60 with an upper face 61. Each tray 60 is mounted on the rear face 422 of the backrest 42 of a seat 4 by means of a hinge 62, which defines a hinge axis A62 parallel to the floor 22, i.e. here horizontal. Each tray 60 is thus movable in rotation relative to the backrest 42 around the corresponding hinge axis A62, between a stowed position, in which the upper face 61 is oriented opposite the rear face 422 of the backrest 42 to which the tray 60 is fixed, and an open position, in which the upper face 61 of this tray 60 is generally parallel to the floor 22 and oriented upwards. The rotational movement of a plate 60 around the hinge axis A62 between the open and stored positions is represented in [Fig.2] by a double arrow F6, in an arc of a circle centered on the corresponding axis A62.
[0024] Each plate 60 is for example made of a synthetic polymer material, advantageously comprising reinforcing fillers, in the form of powder and / or fibers. The plates 60 are produced, for example, by hot injection of one or more elements assembled together. The hinges 62 are preferably made of metal, for example aluminum or steel.
[0025] In the example illustrated, the seats 4 are oriented in the longitudinal direction of the body 2 parallel to the X axis, and each hinge axis A62 is oriented parallel to the direction of the Y axis.
[0026] The hinge 62 is configured so that the tablet 6 only moves when a user moves the tray 60. In particular, the tray 60 does not move under the effect of its own weight or under the effect of vibrations of the moving vehicle 1.
[0027] Advantageously, the hinge 62 comprises a stop, which limits the angular movement of the plate 60 along the arrow F6. The plate 60 in the open position is thus in stop.
[0028] The upper face 61 of each plate 60 here has a rectangular shape with rounded corners, two lateral edges 63, which are oriented radially to the hinge axis A62, and two transverse edges, which are parallel to the hinge axis A62. An inner edge 64 is defined as being that of the two transverse edges closest to the hinge axis A62, and an outer edge 66 as being the other transverse edge. A length L6 of the plate 60 is defined as being a length, measured radially to the hinge axis A62, between the inner edge 64 and the outer edge 66 of this plate 60.
[0029] The upper face 61 of each tray 60 has a retaining relief 68, the relief 68 being configured to prevent the sliding of objects placed on the upper face 61 of the tray 60. In the example illustrated in Figures 2 and 3, an electronic device 8, here a smartphone, is shown to explain the operation of the invention, without however being part of the seat 4.
[0030] Generally, the electronic devices 8 shown in the figures have the shape of a flattened parallelepiped, with a front face, in which a screen 82 is arranged, and an opposite rear face, the front face and the rear face being connected to each other by a contour comprising a lower edge 84 resting on the plate 60 and an upper edge 86 opposite the lower edge 84. In the example illustrated in figures 2 and 3, the lower edge 84 cooperates with the retaining relief 68, while the upper edge 86 rests on the rear face 422 of the backrest 42 of the corresponding seat 4, so that the screen 82 is oriented towards the passenger seated opposite the rear face 422 of the backrest 42 of the seat 4, on the seat 4 located behind.
[0031] The retaining relief 68 thus prevents the lower edge 84 of the electronic device 8 from sliding towards one of the external 66 or internal 64 edges of the plate 60.
[0032] In the example illustrated, the retaining relief 68 has a succession of bumps 681 and hollows 682 arranged in a repetitive pattern which extend in a direction substantially parallel to the hinge axis A62. The bumps 681 and the hollows 682 here form a sinusoidal profile. According to other non-limiting examples, the relief 68 has a crenellated profile, or a cycloid profile.
[0033] The upper face 61 of the plate 60 comprises an internal zone 70 and a peripheral zone 72, complementary to the internal zone 70. The retaining relief 68 is provided in the inner area 70 of the upper face 61, while the peripheral area 72 has a substantially smooth and preferably flat surface. By "substantially smooth" is meant that the peripheral area 72 is free of bumps and hollows of the type of the parts 681 and 682 and has a sufficiently low roughness, so that a passenger can easily write on a sheet of paper placed on the peripheral area 72. The roughness of a smooth surface is less than 0.1 mm, preferably less than 50 μm.
[0034] The peripheral zone 72 defines a mean plane 73. Advantageously, the bumps 681 of the internal zone 70 are flush with the mean plane 73, that is to say that the relief 68 is located on the same side of the mean plane 73.
[0035] Thus a flat rigid object, such as a computer, placed on the plate 60 straddling the internal 70 and peripheral 72 zones, is placed in a stable manner.
[0036] The internal zone 70 extends from the internal edge 64 over a distance d70, measured radially to the hinge axis A62, less than 80% of the length L6 of the shelf 6, preferably less than 50%.
[0037] Thus, the reliefs 68 are provided in the internal zone 70 near the hinge axis A62, and do not extend over the entire upper face 61 of the tablet 6. The passenger thus has, on the tray 60, a smooth and flat surface formed by the peripheral zone 72, allowing him in particular to write on a sheet placed on this surface or to place other objects, which would not be stable if they were placed directly on the retaining relief 68. Such a tablet 6 with two distinct internal 70 and peripheral 72 zones is more practical to use than the tablets of the prior art.
[0038] The internal zone 70 itself comprises a main portion 74 and a transition portion 76. The main portion extends close to the internal edge 64 parallel to the hinge axis A62, while the transition portion 76 is located between the main portion 74 and the peripheral zone 72. The relief 68 formed in the plate 60 presents, in projection in a plane orthogonal to the hinge axis A62, a succession of hollows and bumps. A depth P74 is thus defined as being a depth, measured orthogonally to the upper face 61 of the tablet 6, between a bump 681 and a hollow 682 adjacent to the retaining relief 68 in the main portion 74. Similarly, a depth P76 is defined as being a depth, measured orthogonally to the upper face 61 of the tablet 6, between a bump 681 and a hollow 682 adjacent to the relief 68 of the transition portion 76.
[0039] In the main portion 74, the relief 68 has a depth P74 sufficient to prevent slipping of an electronic device 8 resting on the main portion 74. Thus, the depth P74 of the relief 68 of the main portion 74 is greater than 5 mm, preferably greater than 10 mm.
[0040] On the other hand, a relief 68 that is too deep would be impractical to use, in particular difficult to clean and / or unsightly. Thus, the depth P74 of the retaining relief 68 is less than 20 mm, preferably less than 15 mm.
[0041] In the example illustrated, the depth P74 is constant over the entire main portion 74. In a variant not shown, the depth P74 varies depending on the location on the main portion 74, for example decreasing as one moves away from the hinge axis A62, or decreasing as one moves closer to the lateral edges 63.
[0042] The depth P76 of the retaining relief 68 of the transition portion 76 is here less than the depth P74, making it possible, for example, to wedge small objects there, such as a pen, and to provide a transition between the main portion 74 and the peripheral zone 72, which is visually more aesthetic. Preferably, the depth P76 of the retaining relief in the transition portion 76 varies continuously, and decreases as one moves away from the hinge axis A62.
[0043] In the example illustrated, the depth P76 is between 1 mm and 5 mm, preferably between 3 mm and 4 mm.
[0044] In the main portion 74, the bosses 681 are sufficiently spaced apart to allow an electronic device 8 to be placed in the hollow 682 located between two successive bosses 681. Thus, two successive bosses 681 are separated by a distance, measured radially to the hinge axis A62, greater than 8 mm, preferably greater than 10 mm.
[0045] Conversely, if the bumps 681 are too far apart, it is difficult to position the electronic device 8 satisfactorily so that the screen 82 is oriented towards the passenger seated on the seat 4 behind, whatever the morphology of this passenger. Thus two successive bumps 681 are separated by a distance, measured radially to the hinge axis A62, less than 40 mm, preferably less than 30 mm.
[0046] A second embodiment of the seat 4 is shown in [Fig. 4]. In the second embodiment, elements similar to those of the first embodiment bear the same references and function in the same way. In the following, the differences between the first and second embodiments are mainly described.
[0047] The tray 60 of the second embodiment comprises a central part 100 and a peripheral part 102 complementary to the central part 100. The peripheral part 102 functions like the tray 60 of the first embodiment, that is to say that the peripheral part 102 is fixed to the backrest 42 by means of the hinge 62 and is movable in rotation relative to the backrest 42 around the axis of the hinge A62, the movement of the peripheral part 102 being shown in [Fig.4] by a double arrow F102 in an arc of a circle, centered on the hinge axis A62.
[0048] The central part 100, specific to the second embodiment, has the shape of an elongated rectangle, arranged in its length parallel to the hinge axis A62 and movable in rotation relative to the peripheral part 102 around an axis of rotation coinciding with the hinge axis A62, between an open position, in which an upper face 104 of the central part 100 is oriented upwards and generally parallel to the floor 22, and a stowed position, in which the upper face 104 is located opposite the rear face 422 of the backrest 42. The rotational movement of the central part 100 relative to the peripheral part 102 is represented in [Fig. 4] also by a double arrow F100, in an arc of a circle centered on the hinge axis A62.
[0049] The hinge 62 preferably comprises a stop, not shown, which limits the angular movement of the rotational movement of the central part 100 along the arrow F100, so that the central part 100 is in stop when this central part 100 is in the open position.
[0050] The hinge 62 is configured so that when the central part 100 and the peripheral part 102 of the same shelf 6 are jointly in the open position, the upper faces 104 and 61 of the central parts 100 and peripheral parts 102 are coplanar and flush.
[0051] Advantageously, the upper face 104 of the central part 100 is included in the internal zone 70 of the tablet 6, that is to say that the retaining relief 68 covers the entire upper face 104 of the central part 100. Advantageously, the upper face 104 of the central part 100 is included in the main portion 74 of the internal zone 70. In other words, the retaining relief 68 formed in the upper face 104 of the central part 100 has a depth of between 5 mm and 20 mm, preferably between 10 mm and 15 mm.
[0052] When the tablet 6 is in the stowed position, that is to say that the central 100 and peripheral 102 parts are jointly in the stowed position, a user can move the central 100 part along the arrow F100 independently of the peripheral 102 part. In other words, the peripheral 102 part is not driven towards its open position when a passenger moves the central 100 part from its closed position to its open position. A passenger can thus use only the central 100 part in the open position, to place an electronic device 8 there while retaining space for his knees, as shown on the right part of [Fig.4].
[0053] Conversely, the hinge 62 is configured so that when a passenger moves the peripheral portion 102 from its stowed position to its open position, the central portion 100 is also driven from its closed position to its open position. The upper surfaces 104 and 61 of the central and peripheral portions 100 and 102 remain thus coplanar during the rotational movement around the hinge axis A62. On the left part of [Fig.4], the peripheral part 102 and the central part 100 are jointly in the open position, and the passenger can, in addition to the electronic device 8, place other objects of his choice on the shelf 6.
[0054] The embodiments and variants mentioned above can be combined with each other to generate new embodiments of the invention.
