Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Device for dispensing and applying cosmetic products in the form of a stick
[0001] The invention relates to the field of devices for dispensing and applying cosmetic products (also called cosmetic applicators), and more particularly solidified products in the form of sticks, such as lipsticks or deodorant.
[0002] Cosmetic products are products intended to be placed in contact with parts of the human body in order to clean them, perfume them, modify their appearance, protect them, maintain them in good condition or correct body odors. Cosmetic products are, for example, products for skin makeup or perfuming or odorous compositions intended for bodily application.
[0003] Typically, cosmetic applicators comprise a housing comprising a receptacle for a cosmetic product. The receptacle is generally movable relative to the housing and configured to be moved, in particular in translation, so as to drive the cosmetic product between a retracted position in the housing and a deployed position outside the housing to allow application of the cosmetic product.
[0004] The receptacle may comprise a cup or a tray.
[0005] In one embodiment, the housing comprises a rotating mechanism comprising two elements that can be actuated in rotation relative to each other to cause an axial translational movement of the receptacle. The rotating mechanism is configured to cooperate with the receptacle so as to drive it in axial translation in the housing. Thus, when the rotating mechanism is actuated, the receptacle is driven in translation in the housing. Such a rotating mechanism provides an aesthetic and pleasant gesture for the user when handling the applicator.
[0006] The materials used for the manufacture of such an applicator are generally metal and / or plastic.
[0007] In order to reduce the quantity of plastic, it is known to manufacture applicators comprising a cardboard case. The case serves in particular to protect the cosmetic product and to facilitate handling of the applicator. It also provides a pleasant aesthetic appearance to the applicator.
[0008] Applicators of this type, with a cardboard case, slightly reduce the use of plastic, but allow for the maintenance of an elaborate gesture.
[0009] In order to further reduce the quantity of plastic used, it is known to manufacture 100% cardboard applicators which do not include a rotating mechanism.
[0010] In this type of applicator, the receptacle is a tray configured to be pushed by the user in order to drive the cosmetic product from the retracted position in the case to the deployed position outside the case.
[0011] A disadvantage of this embodiment is that it does not allow switching from the deployed position to the retracted position. In addition, the gesture is not very aesthetic and not very pleasant.
[0012] The invention aims to remedy all or part of the aforementioned drawbacks by proposing a device for dispensing and applying a cosmetic product in which the cosmetic product is movable between a retracted position in the device and a deployed position outside the device, the device comprising: - A receptacle for the cosmetic product; - A sheath forming a housing for the receptacle, the sheath being configured to cover the cosmetic product when the cosmetic product is in the retracted position in the device, and to at least partially uncover the cosmetic product when the cosmetic product is in the deployed position outside the device; - A rotating mechanism configured to create relative movement between the sheath and the receptacle to allow mobility of the cosmetic product between the retracted position in the device and the deployed position outside the device; and - A base forming a housing for the rotating mechanism;
[0013] in which the base and the sheath are made of cardboard.
[0014] Thus, the device according to the invention makes it possible both to maintain an aesthetic and pleasant user gesture, and to improve recycling by considerably reducing the use of plastic.
[0015] Cardboard means a paper material whose mass is greater than or equal to 200 g / m2, and more particularly a paper material whose mass is greater than or equal to 224 g / cm2.
[0016] For example, the rotating mechanism comprises a first element and a second element movable in rotation relative to each other, in which the first element is fixed to the sheath and the second element is fixed to the receptacle.
[0017] In the remainder of the description, by “fixed” is meant secured, so that the elements fixed together are movable together.
[0018] For example, the sheath and the first element of the rotating mechanism are fixed by gluing or by clamping or by snap-fastening. The sheath is therefore integral with the first element of the rotating mechanism. The term snap-fastening also means clipping.
[0019] For example, the first element and the second element of the rotating mechanism comprise a helical connection. Thus, the first element and the second element are movable in rotation and translation relative to each other.
[0020] For example, the base is fixed to the second element of the rotating mechanism, by gluing or by clamping or by snap-fastening. The base is therefore integral with the second element of the rotating mechanism.
[0021] For example, the second element comprises a threaded rod and the first element comprises a complementary thread.
[0022] For example, the second element came from the same material as the receptacle.
[0023] For example, the sheath is configured to translate in the base upon actuation of the rotating mechanism.
[0024] For example, the base and the sheath are cylindrical. Thus, the device is simplified so that the manufacture of the parts, particularly in cardboard, is simplified.
[0025] For example, the rotating mechanism comprises plastic. Thus, handling of the device is facilitated.
[0026] In the case of fixing by clamping or snapping, the rotating mechanism can be manually separated from the sheath and the base, in order to facilitate the sorting of plastic parts and cardboard parts, to allow the recycling of the device.
[0027] For example, the plastic is biodegradable and / or recyclable. This makes recycling the device easier.
[0028] For example, the rotating mechanism comprises a locking means configured to lock the rotation of the rotating mechanism. For example, the locking means is configured to lock the rotating mechanism in the retracted position. This allows the sheath to be positioned so as to allow the insertion of the cosmetic product into the device.
[0029] For example, the locking means comprises a connecting means between the first element and the second element so as to block the rotation of the first element relative to the second element.
[0030] For example, the device includes a cover configured to cooperate with the base.
[0031] Other characteristics and advantages of the present invention will appear on reading the description which follows and on examining the appended figures in which:

The axial protrusion has a height adapted to allow the cover 26 to be placed and held on the base 18.
[0073] Figures 4 and 5 illustrate the operation of the device 10 as described previously.
[0074] The cosmetic product P is movable between a retracted position in the device 10 ([Fig.4]) and a deployed position outside the device 10 ([Fig.5]).
[0075] As shown in [Fig.4], when the cosmetic product P is in the retracted position in the device 10, the sheath 14 covers the cosmetic product P. Thus, the sheath 14 makes it possible to protect the cosmetic product P in particular from shocks and drying out.
[0076] The cosmetic product P is configured to have side walls configured to be in contact with the sheath 14. The sheath 14 may cover the side walls of the cosmetic product 14 when the cosmetic product P is in the retracted position in the device 10.
[0077] When a user actuates the rotating mechanism 16, a relative movement between the sheath 14 and the receptacle 12 is created, to allow the mobility of the cosmetic product P between the retracted position in the device 10 and the deployed position outside the device 10.
[0078] More specifically, the user can rotate the rotating mechanism 16 to cause axial movement between the retracted position in the device 10 and the deployed position outside the device 10.
[0079] More precisely, when the rotating mechanism 16 is actuated, the first element 20 can be rotated relative to the second element 22. The first element 20 can then perform a simultaneous rotation and translation movement around the second element 22. The first element 20 can drive the sheath 14 in translation so as to at least partially uncover the cosmetic product P. The cosmetic product P passes from the retracted position in the device 10 ([Fig.4]) to the deployed position outside the device ([Fig.5]).
[0080] The sheath 14 can translate in the base 18. The sheath 14 can be housed in the base 18.
[0081] The operation of the device 10 is simple.
[0082] Figures 4 and 6 show that the rotating mechanism 16 may comprise a locking means 24 configured to lock the rotation of the rotating mechanism 16. The locking means 24 may be configured to lock the rotation of the rotating mechanism 16 by cooperation between the two elements 20, 22 of the rotating mechanism 16. The locking means 24 may be configured to lock the rotation of the rotating mechanism 16 by cooperation between the first element 20 and the second element 22 of the rotating mechanism 16. The locking means 24 may be configured to lock the rotation of the rotating mechanism 16 by cooperation between the first element 20 of the rotating mechanism 16 and the receptacle 12.
[0083] The locking means 24 may comprise a connecting means between the two elements 20, 22 of the rotating mechanism 16, so as to block the relative movement between the two elements 20, 22. The locking means 24 may comprise a connecting means between the first element 20 and the second element 22 of the rotating mechanism 16, so as to block the relative movement between the first element 20 and the second element 22.
[0084] The locking means 24 may comprise a connecting means between the first element 20 of the rotating mechanism 16 and the receptacle 12, so as to block the relative movement between the first element 20 and the second element 22 in the retracted position.
