Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Site sheet, removable device for site sheet and method for installing the site sheet.
[0001] The present invention relates to a site sheet, a removable device and a method for installing the site sheet.
[0002] Ensuring safety on construction sites is important for building and construction professionals but also for the general population. Site signs are commonly used in this context to demarcate and mark construction areas or to restrict access to them. Site signs include a steel rod of a length of about a meter or more; they can be straight and are called paver signs or can have a hook, called lantern signs. Once planted in the ground, site signs are used to hang signaling objects such as tape, chain, wire mesh, or lamp.
[0003] An example of a site sheet is known from French patent application FR1201939 A1 and which further comprises an insulating coating for the purpose of improving safety on site. The insulating coating thus makes it possible to reduce the risks of electrocution in the event of contact with electrical installations when planting the site sheet in the ground.
[0004] As mentioned above, site sheets are used in a versatile manner. In practice, the placement of signaling objects on site sheets is inconvenient and their maintenance is sometimes hazardous.
[0005] The present invention aims to facilitate the use of site sheets as known in the state of the art.
[0006] The object of the invention is achieved by the site plug comprising a rod and a removable device mounted at least partially, preferably completely, around the rod, the removable device comprising a clamping means. Such an assembly makes it easier to use the site plugs. Indeed, the device being removable, the user can plant the site plug without obstruction and then mount and dismount the removable device depending on the desired use for the site plug. Finally, the clamping means makes it possible to reliably hold the removable device on the site plug after the step of planting the site plug.
[0007] According to one embodiment, the site plug may comprise a rod having a sharpened end and an end opposite the sharpened end and the removable device is mounted around the rod towards the opposite end. The sharpened end of the rod allows the site plug to be planted in different types of soil or asphalt surface, for example using a sledgehammer. Such an arrangement of the removable device makes it easily accessible to the user when mounted on the rod.
[0008] According to one embodiment, the construction plug may at least partially comprise an insulating coating on the stem, on a portion spaced from the sharpened end, in particular adjacent to the opposite end, in particular without nevertheless covering the opposite end. The insulating coating makes it possible to reduce the risks of electrocution of users, in particular in the event of contact with electrical installations when planting the construction plug in the ground. By leaving the opposite end free of coating, the plug can still be planted by striking the end with a mass. The removable device may be mounted at least partially on the insulating coating. Such an assembly makes it possible to reduce the risks of electrocution of users, in particular when assembling and using the removable device on the stem of a construction plug.
[0009] According to one embodiment, the removable device may cover the opposite end of the rod. According to another embodiment, the device may have a cap for covering the opposite end and a means for reserving the cap, in particular a hinge. The means for covering the opposite end of the rod makes it possible to protect the user by reducing the risk of injury by falling onto the site plug. In addition, the means for covering the opposite end of the rod makes it possible to further reduce the risk of electrocution when the removable device is mounted on a site plug rod knowing that the insulating coating does not cover the opposite end of the site plug rod. The means for reserving the cap, in particular a hinge, makes it possible not to lose the removable cap.
[0010] The object of the invention is also achieved by a removable device for use with a site plug comprising a clamping means, in particular a clamping means or a clamping collar. Such a clamping means makes it possible to keep the removable device stationary and secure it after its assembly, in particular on a site plug.
[0011] According to one embodiment, the removable device may comprise a clamping means which may be movable between a first position called closed for clamping the site plug when the removable device is mounted on the stem of the site plug and a second position called open for mounting or dismounting the removable device. Such a device allows the user to quickly mount and dismount the removable device, in particular on the stem of a site plug.
[0012] According to one embodiment, the removable device may comprise a clamping means comprising a clamp comprising two branches, each of the branches comprising a jaw at one end and a lever at another end, the two jaws in the closed position at least partially surround the stem of the construction plug, in particular at least partially the stem with the insulating coating. With such a device, no tools are required when assembling and disassembling the removable device. In addition, only one operator is required when assembling and disassembling the removable device, in particular when assembling and disassembling the removable device on the stem of a construction plug which may include an insulating coating.
[0013] According to one embodiment, the levers of the clamp may each comprise at least one reinforcing rib, preferably two or three reinforcing ribs. The reinforcing ribs reinforce the removable device.
[0014] According to one embodiment at least one of the jaws may comprise a recess with a first cylindrical part with a first section and a second cylindrical part of a second section smaller than the first section of the first cylindrical part. Such a configuration makes it possible to assemble and keep the removable device immobile on the insulating coating of the rod of the site plug.
[0015] According to one embodiment, the clamping means of the removable device can be configured to be able to surround rods with different diameters, preferably for rods with diameters of 12mm, 14mm, or 16mm. Such a removable device is versatile since a single model is suitable for site plugs of different diameters.
[0016] According to one embodiment, the cylindrical part of the recess with the smallest section can have a diameter large enough for the clamping means to be mounted on site plugs with a diameter of 16 mm and small enough for the clamping means to be held on site plugs with a diameter of 12 mm. Such a removable device is simple to produce while maintaining versatility.
[0017] According to one embodiment, the removable device may be formed at least partially from an insulating material. Such a material makes it possible to reduce the risks of electrocution for users, particularly during assembly and use of the removable device on the rod of the construction site plug, and makes its manufacturing cost low.
[0018] According to one embodiment, the removable device may comprise at least one light source, and / or a photovoltaic panel, and / or at least one attachment means, preferably two or three. The light source may be, for example, a construction site lamp. Such a light source makes it possible to signal or delimit a construction site area, a roadway, or other. The photovoltaic panel may, for example, be a solar panel. Such a device makes it possible to recharge electronic devices, used in particular for construction site, road, or other signage. With at least one attachment means, the removable device allows multiple accessories to be reliably attached and held, in particular construction site signage objects, such as tape or chain, illustrating the versatility of the removable device.
[0019] According to one embodiment, the removable device may comprise a locking system for locking the clamping means in the closed position. Such a locking system makes it possible to keep the removable device reliably closed, in particular when the removable device is mounted on the rod of a site plug.
[0020] According to the invention, the removable device as described above according to the different embodiments can be mounted on a construction site plug, such as a paver plug or a lantern holder plug.
[0021] The invention also relates to a method for signaling a construction site comprising a first step of placing a construction site sheet in the ground followed by a second step of assembling the construction site sheet with a removable device. This method makes it possible to mount the removable device after planting the construction site sheet in the ground.

[0033] [Fig. 10] illustrates the construction site signaling method with the installation of a construction site sheet and a removable device according to a sixth embodiment of the invention.
[0034] Figures 1a and 1b illustrate a site plug 200a according to a first embodiment. The site plug 200a comprises a rod 20, an insulating covering 22 and a removable device 24a. The removable device 24a is illustrated in the closed position in [Fig.1a] and in the open position in [Fig.1b].
[0035] The rod 20, which is preferably made of steel, has a length which typically varies between 100cm and 130cm and a diameter which typically varies between 12mm and 16mm. The rod 20 has a sharpened end 26 and an end 28 opposite the sharpened end 26. The sharpened end 26 preferably has a pyramidal shape with a height of 30mm to 50mm.
[0036] The rod 20 is at least partially covered by the insulating coating 22, to electrically insulate the rod 20. The insulating coating 22 can be made of any type of electrical insulator, preferably a plastic material.
[0037] The insulating covering 22 is molded onto a portion 30 adjacent to the opposite end 28 of the rod 20. The insulating covering 22 has a length of 200mm to 300mm allowing use with two hands. The insulating covering 22 includes a surface with grooves 32. The insulating covering 22 also includes a flared portion 34 close to the opposite end 28 as illustrated in [Fig.lb]. The flared portion 34 has a maximum diameter of the order of 25mm to 35mm. The end 36 of the insulating covering 22 is spaced from the opposite end 28 of the rod 20 by approximately 5mm to 20mm. The invention is however in no way limited to these dimensions or shapes.
[0038] The removable device 24a is mounted towards the opposite end 28 of the rod 20, on the insulating covering 22, including, around and on the flared portion 34 of the insulating covering 22.
[0039] The removable device 24a is also made of an electrically insulating material, in particular the same material as that of the insulating coating 22.
[0040] The removable device 24a comprises a clamping means, here in the form of a clamp 38, which is movable between a closed position ([Fig.1a]) and an open position ([Fig.1b]). However, the invention is not limited to this clamping means. Instead of using a clamp 38, a clamping collar can for example also be used as a clamping means.
[0041] The clamp 38 of the removable device 24a comprises two branches 40 and 42 linked by a spring 44 visible in [Fig.4]. Each of the branches 40 and 42 comprises a jaw 46 and 48 at one end 50 and 52 and a lever 54 and 56 at the other end 58 and 60.
[0042] According to the invention, the removable device 24a is designed to be mounted on the covering 22 of the rod 20 once the site plug 200a is planted in the ground.
[0043] Figures 2 and 3 illustrate two views of the branches 40 and 42 of the removable device 24a respectively.
[0044] The jaw 46 of the branch 40, as illustrated in [Fig.2], comprises a plate 62 and a partial cylinder 64 which flares on one side to form a partial ring 66. The plate 62 is joined along the partial cylinder 64 and extends along the flared portion 70, conforming to its shape.
[0045] The plate 62 has in this concrete example a first side 72 attached to the partial cylinder 64 with a length identical to the height of the partial cylinder 64. The plate 62 has a second side 74 parallel to the first side 72 with a length greater than the length to take into account the flared part 70. The plate 62 has a continuous width with the opposite end 68 of the partial cylinder 64. The jaw 46 has a maximum height of 15cm.
[0046] The lever 54 of the branch 40 has in this concrete example a rectangular plate shape. The lever 54 extends to the flared part 70 of the jaw 46 and along the edge 76 to the opposite end 68 of the partial cylinder 64. The lever 54 is continuous with the jaw 46 along the edge 76 of the jaw 46. The lever 54 is oriented obliquely with respect to the plate 62 with an angle of at least more than 90°. Two reinforcing ribs 80-80' are arranged on the lever 54.
[0047] The jaw 48 of the branch 42, visible in detail in [Fig. 3], also comprises a rectangular-shaped plate 82 and a partial cylinder 84 which flares on one side to form a partial ring 86. The partial cylinder 84 and the partial ring 86 are similar in shape and complementary to the partial cylinder 64 and the partial ring 66 of the jaw 46.
[0048] The partial cylinder 84 includes an opposite end 88 to the flared portion 90. The plate 82 is continuous with the partial cylinder 84 and the flared portion 90. The plate has a first side 92 attached to the partial cylinder 84 with a length identical to the height of the partial cylinder 84. The plate 82 has a second side 94 parallel to the first side 92. The plate 82 has a continuous width with the opposite end 88 of the partial cylinder 84.
[0049] A hooking means located on the plate 82, comprises a hook 98 which is located along the side 94. The jaw 48 has a maximum height of 15cm.
[0050] The lever 56 of the branch 42 has a rectangular plate shape. The lever 56 is adjacent to the flared portion 90 of the jaw 48 and extends along the edge 102 of the jaw 48 to the opposite end 88 of the partial cylinder 84. The lever 56 is continuous with the jaw 48. Two reinforcing ribs 104-104' are also arranged on the lever 56. The lever 56 is in the same plane as the plate 82.
[0051] Hooking means on the lever 56 comprise three hooks 106, 108, and 110. The hooks 106 and 108 are proximate the partial ring 86 and the hook 110 is located along the outer edge 112 of the lever 56.
[0052] On the jaw 48 and the lever 56, the hooking means make it possible to hook signaling objects, such as a ribbon or a chain, for example.
[0053] The levers 54 and 56 as well as the jaws 46 and 48 preferably have rounded corners. These rounded corners make it possible to reduce the risk of injury in the event of a fall onto the removable device 24a.
[0054] [Fig.4] and [Fig.5] illustrate the internal portions of the two jaws 46 and 48 facing each other and the internal portions of the two levers 54 and 56 facing each other.
[0055] The two jaws 46 and 48, in particular the two partial cylinders 64 and 84 and the two partial rings 66 and 86, are hollow and form recesses 116, 116'. Each of the partial rings 66 and 86 comprises a surface, called partial crown 114 and 114', opposite the intersection with the two partial cylinders 64 and 84. The recesses 116 and 116' have a shape allowing to receive the covering 32 with the flared part 34 of the rod 20, as shown in Figures 1a and 1b.
[0056] The recesses 116 and 116' at the two partial rings 66 and 86 each comprise a first cylindrical part 118, 118' with a first section s1 and a second cylindrical part 120, 120' at the partial rings 114, 114' with a second section s2 smaller than the first section s1. The section s2 of the second cylindrical part 120, 120' is also smaller than the section s3 of the partial cylinders 64 and 84.
[0057] In the mounted state, the internal edge 122, 122' of each partial crown 114, 114' surrounds the part of the rod 20 devoid of insulating coating 22, as shown in [Fig.lb].
[0058] The recesses 116 and 116' in the two jaws 46 and 48 are made such that they are adapted to site plugs 200a with rods 20 of different diameters. The partial crowns 114 and 114' of the partial rings 66 and 86 are thus sufficiently small so that they can rest on the flared part 34 of the insulating covering 22 for site plugs with a diameter of 12mm but also large enough so that the clamp 38 can close on site plugs 200a with a rod 20 with a diameter of 16mm.
[0059] The two levers 54 and 56 are connected and articulated around a spring 44 schematically shown in [Fig. 4]. The spring 44 is passed through sockets 126-126' and 128-128' perpendicular to the levers 54 and 56. The spring 44 is preferably made of a stainless material, in particular a stainless steel. When the spring 44 is mounted such that the jaws 46 and 48 are forced into a closed state in the absence of an external force applied to the levers 54 and 56. The force of the spring 44 exerted on the jaws 46 and 48 of the clamp 38 makes it possible to hold the clamp 38 in place on the rod 20 of a site plug 200a as shown in [Fig. 1a]. By applying pressure to the levers 54 and 56 of the clamp 38, a force is exerted on the spring 44, the clamp 38 moves from the closed position to the open position, as shown in [Fig.lb].
[0060] [Fig. 6] illustrates a removable device 24b according to a second embodiment. In comparison with the removable device 24a described according to the first embodiment, the removable device 24b according to the second embodiment may also cover the end 28 of the rod 20, see [Fig. 1a]. The other structural elements using the same reference numbers correspond to those of the first removable device 24a and will not be described again in detail below, reference is made to their description above.
[0061] According to this second embodiment, the two partial rings 66' and 86' have been modified with respect to the first embodiment and include the means for covering the opposite end 28 of the rod 20. The means for covering the opposite end 28 is provided by extending the jaws 46 and 48 such that they extend beyond the opposite end 28 of the rod 20 once the removable device 24b is mounted on the rod 20.
[0062] Thus, the ends of the jaws 48 and 38 comprise partial circular elements 132 and 134 which extend perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the clamp 38. The circular elements 132 and 134 are made at the top of the partial rings 66' and 86' such that the circular element 132 partially overlaps the circular element 134 when the clamp 38 is in the closed position.
[0063] Instead of two reinforcing ribs, this embodiment comprises three reinforcing ribs 104, 104' and 104”'.
[0064] The means for covering the end is configured to completely cover the opposite end 28 of the rod 20 when the removable device 24b is mounted on the 200A construction site plug in the closed position. This further reduces the risk of electrocution.
[0065] [Fig.7] schematically illustrates a removable device 24c according to a third embodiment mounted on a rod 20 of a site plug 200b. Compared to the removable device 24a according to the first embodiment, the removable device 24c comprises at least one light source 136 and / or a photovoltaic panel 138. The other structural elements using the same reference numbers correspond to those of the first removable device 24a and will not be described in detail below, reference is made to their description above. The third embodiment can also be combined with the second embodiment.
[0066] The light source 136 is integrated into one of the jaws 46 or 48. The photovoltaic panel 138 is preferably mounted at the top of the removable device 24c when it is mounted on the rod 20 and is electrically connected to the light source 136, in particular via a switch or any other control device. In addition, connection means such as an electrical outlet or USB outlet or contactless connection means such as Bluetooth may be provided to be able to connect other devices to the removable device 24c.
[0067] [Fig.8] illustrates a removable device 24d according to a fourth embodiment. Compared to the removable device 24a according to the first embodiment, the removable device 24d comprises a locking system. The other structural elements using the same reference numbers correspond to those of the first removable device 24a and will not be described in detail below, reference is made to their description above. The fourth embodiment can also be combined with the second and / or third embodiment.
[0068] The locking system is here produced by a magnet 140 and a ferromagnetic plate 140'. The magnet 140 is mounted on the internal wall of the plate 62 and the ferromagnetic plate 140' on the plate 82 to face each other.
[0069] The invention is not limited to this locking device and for example a bolt with a chain or a screw and a pin can be used to lock the removable device 24d.
[0070] The locking system thus makes it possible to secure the closing of the jaws 46 and 48 of the clamp 38 against involuntary forces.
[0071] [Fig.9] schematically illustrates a removable device 24e according to a fifth embodiment mounted on a rod 20 of a site plug 200c. Compared to the removable device 24a according to the first embodiment, the removable device 24e comprises a cap 142. The other structural elements using the same reference numbers correspond to those of the first removable device 24a and will not be described in detail below, reference is made to their description above. The fifth embodiment can also be combined with the second and / or third and / or fourth embodiment.
[0072] The removable device 24e here comprises a removable cap 142 and a means for reserving the cap, in particular a joint 144. The cap 142 is formed of an insulating material similar to that of the device 24a. The cap 142 is in a single part but can also be in two parts. The removable cap 142 is here mounted on the two partial rings 66 and 86 of the two jaws 46 and 48 to cover the opposite end 28, see [Fig.la], of the rod 20 when the removable device 24e is mounted on the site plug 200c. The cap 142 being removable, it can be mounted on the opposite end 28 of the rod 20 after the site plug 200c has been planted in the ground.
[0073] [Fig. 10] schematically illustrates a construction site signaling method according to a sixth embodiment of the invention with the installation of the construction site sheet 200a and the removable device 24a of the first embodiment of the invention. The construction site signaling method can also be carried out with a removable device of the other embodiments 2 to 5.
[0074] The construction site signaling method comprises a first step 1000 of planting the construction site plug 200a in the ground, a second step 1002 of mounting the removable device 24a on the construction site plug 200a, a third step 1004 of tightening the removable device 24a on the construction site plug 200a, and a fourth step 1006 of attaching a chain 146 to delimit a construction site.
[0075] During the first step 1000, the rod 20 is planted in the ground 202 by its sharpened end 26, using for example a sledgehammer. The user holds the rod 20 by the insulating coating 22 to avoid electrocution.
[0076] During the second step 1002, the removable device 24a is mounted on the insulating covering 22 of the site plug 200a. By exerting pressure on the levers 54 and 56, the two jaws 46 and 48 move apart, the clamp 38 is in the open position and the removable device 24a is then mounted on the rod 20 of the site plug 200a.
[0077] In the third step 1004, by releasing the pressure exerted on the levers 54 and 56, the clamp 38 returns to the closed position under the effect of the spring. The two jaws 46 and 48 touch each other and thus surround the covering 22 of the rod 20 of the site plug 200a. The removable device 24a is now firmly mounted on the site plug 200a.
[0078] During the fourth step 1006, a chain or a ribbon 146 is attached to the attachment means 98 of the removable device 24a to delimit the site.
[0079] One or more of the distinctive structural elements of the removable devices of the first to fifth embodiments may be combined with each other to obtain other embodiments.
