Description

Title of the invention: Cosmetic product dispensing tip and associated cosmetic product packaging and dispensing device

[0001] The present invention relates to a cosmetic product dispensing tip comprising: - an upstream region intended to be mounted on a container, - a downstream region comprising an external skirt converging from the region upstream to a downstream distribution orifice, the external skirt having an internal surface and an external surface, and an internal skirt extending into the external skirt, the internal skirt defining a distribution channel for the cosmetic product extending along a central axis, the distribution channel having an upstream inlet and opening downstream through the downstream orifice, - distribution channel support ribs extending between at least the inner skirt and the outer skirt,

[0002] at least one rib having, in at least one plane perpendicular to the central axis of the channel, at least one interior point located in contact with the internal skirt and at least one exterior point located in contact with the external skirt.

[0003] The cosmetic product is, for example, a hair product, a hygiene product, a facial and / or body care product, a makeup product, or a sun protection product.

[0004] More generally, a cosmetic product is a product as defined in Regulation EC No. 1223 / 2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council, dated November 30, 2009, relating to cosmetic products.

[0005] In many cosmetic applications, the user seeks dispensing performance adapted to the nature of the product to be dispensed. When the product dispensing tip has a long and narrow product dispensing channel, precise and controlled dispensing is promoted.

[0006] Manufacturing a distribution channel inside a nozzle can be tricky, especially when the channel is long and narrow and the nozzle is hollow. Indeed, the step of demolding the nozzle during manufacturing can then damage the channel by deformation if it is not supported. Manufacturing a hollow nozzle is often necessary to save material, and thus reduce the production cost of the nozzle. In addition, the user will prefer a lightweight container so that it can be transported with them more easily.

[0007] Channel support ribs are then often used to facilitate the step demolding and to allow the production of a long and thin distribution channel inside a hollow tip.

[0008] JP2014014381 describes for example a tip for dispensing cosmetic products comprising an outer skirt and an inner skirt defining an internal distribution channel, as well as radial ribs supporting the channel. These radial ribs are flat and extend between the inner skirt and the outer skirt of the nozzle.

[0009] Other cosmetic product dispensing tips are described in US5417349, EP2085068, JP2013230301, and EP3773373.

[0010] However, such tips do not provide any particular aesthetic appearance that a user might seek.

[0011] An aim of the invention is to propose a cosmetic product dispensing tip allowing a user to easily and precisely dose the quantity of cosmetic product coming out of the tip, while providing a pleasant aesthetic aspect for the user.

[0012] To this end, the invention relates to a cosmetic product dispensing tip of the aforementioned type, characterized in that at least one rib is present in the perpendicular plane, at least one intermediate point located away from each segment connecting the or each interior point to the or each exterior point.

[0013] The specific architecture of the support ribs not only allows the distribution channel to be effectively supported during the demolding step but also gives them a new aesthetic appearance, visually pleasing to the user, particularly when part of the tip is transparent. Since the ribs are not flat, it is possible to create a helix, flower, or even sun pattern inside the tip, and to increase the mechanical strength of the distribution channel.

[0014] According to one variant, the dispensing tip for a cosmetic product according to the invention comprises the following characteristic:

[0015] - in the perpendicular plane, the at least one intermediate point is located away of a segment passing through the or each interior point and passing through the central axis of the distribution channel, and / or is located away from a segment passing through the or each exterior point and passing through the central axis of the distribution channel.

[0016] The ribs extending radially from the inner skirt to the outer skirt of the tip, they occupy the space inside the tip by creating a pattern appreciated by the user. In addition, the radial extent of the ribs provides optimal support of the channel during the demolding step in order to avoid deformation being caused. Finally, the ribs are useful during the manufacture of the tip, in particular during the injection of material in order to form the distribution channel.

[0017] According to one variant, the dispensing tip for a cosmetic product according to the invention comprises the following characteristic:

[0018] - in the perpendicular plane, at least one segment connecting at least one point interior to or at least one exterior point has at least one point located completely away from the rib, advantageously has at least one section located completely away from the rib.

[0019] Advantageously, having a section of a segment connecting at least one interior point to at least one exterior point of a rib completely away from the rib adds a three-dimensional aesthetic appearance to the rib, which can thus have curvatures.

[0020] According to one variant, the dispensing tip for a cosmetic product according to the invention comprises the following characteristic:

[0021] - in the perpendicular plane, the section of the rib connecting the or each point interior to or at each exterior point is curved and defines a convex face and a concave face.

[0022] The ribs having a curved section defining a convex face and a concave face create a particular pattern and details within the tip which contribute to giving a particular aesthetic appearance to the tip.

[0023] According to one variant, the dispensing tip for a cosmetic product according to the invention comprises the following characteristic:

[0024] - at least one rib has an upstream edge extending inclined towards downstream from the inner skirt to the outer skirt.

[0025] The downstream inclined edge of the support ribs limits the volume of material used to manufacture the ribs and therefore minimizes the weight and total cost of the dispensing nozzle. The height of the ribs taken along the internal skirt of the nozzle being maximum, the support function of the channel during demolding is perfectly preserved.

[0026] According to one variant, the dispensing tip for a cosmetic product according to the invention comprises the following characteristic:

[0027] - the ribs protrude upstream of the upstream inlet of the distribution channel, avanta generously to a height of at least 0.3 mm in a direction parallel to the central axis of the canal.

[0028] Advantageously, the parts of the ribs projecting upstream of the upstream inlet of the distribution channel prevent any obstruction of the inlet of the channel, in particular when a product capable of phase shifting and comprising balls is used. Indeed, the balls are kept at a distance from the inlet of the channel by the parts of the projecting ribs without obstructing and hindering the passage of cosmetic product at the inlet and inside the channel.

[0029] According to one variant, the dispensing tip for a cosmetic product according to the invention comprises the following characteristic:

[0030] - the ribs are distributed angularly around the central axis, the number of ribs along an angular path of 360° around the central axis of the distribution channel being between 1 and 10 and advantageously greater than 3.

[0031] Having at least three ribs distributed angularly around the central axis of the distribution channel prevents, in the case of the use of a cosmetic product comprising homogenizing balls as described above, the balls, depending on their diameter, from getting stuck between the ribs and failing in their essential function of homogenizing the product.

[0032] According to one variant, the dispensing tip for a cosmetic product according to the invention comprises the following characteristic:

[0033] - the downstream height of each rib taken above the upstream entrance of the channel in projection on the central axis, is greater than the upstream height of each rib taken below the upstream entrance of the canal, in projection on the central axis, the ratio between the upstream height and the downstream height being advantageously between 10 and 40.

[0034] According to this configuration, the ribs are in fact much more visible to the user through the dispensing nozzle in the case where only the nozzle, or even in the case where only the downstream region of the nozzle, are partially or totally transparent. Thus the aesthetic appearance given to the nozzle by the design of the ribs is highlighted. In addition, this configuration allows sufficient support of the channel during its demolding, and saves material where the ribs are neither necessary for the support of the channel, nor visible to the user.

[0035] According to one variant, the dispensing tip for a cosmetic product according to the invention comprises the following characteristic:

[0036] - the inner skirt has a tubular wall projecting into the outer skirt, internally terminating the distribution channel, the ratio between the thickness of the tubular wall taken perpendicular to the central axis of the channel and the height of the projecting tubular wall, taken along the central axis being less than 0.15.

[0037] Advantageously, this feature provides a long and thin dispensing channel, which can be effectively supported during the demolding step. Furthermore, since the width of the tubular wall is relatively small compared to the height of the projecting portion, a reduced amount of material can be used to manufacture the dispensing nozzle, thereby reducing production costs.

[0038] According to one variant, the dispensing tip for a cosmetic product according to the invention comprises the following characteristic:

[0039] - the distribution channel comprises at least one flow regulation region of product having a transverse extent relative to the central axis of the channel of less than 2 mm over a height taken in projection on the central axis of the channel of at least 5 mm.

[0040] The geometry of the distribution channel thus defined precisely regulates the flow of product circulating in the distribution channel and consequently promotes the delivery of a precise and controlled dose of product at the outlet of the distribution channel.

[0041] According to one variant, the dispensing tip for a cosmetic product according to the invention comprises the following characteristic:

[0042] - each pair of adjacent ribs defines between the ribs, the internal surface of the external skirt and the internal skirt a blind cavity closed downstream.

[0043] The presence of blind cavities closed downstream limits the waste of product which could infiltrate through the ribs and emerge through the downstream orifice of the distribution channel in the case where the blind cavities were not closed. They also create a greater pressure drop, thus facilitating the regulation of the flow of product circulating in the distribution channel and improving the precision of the quantity of product dispensed.

[0044] According to one variant, the dispensing tip for a cosmetic product according to the invention comprises the following characteristic:

[0045] - at least the downstream region is at least partially transparent, preferably is completely transparent.

[0046] The transparency, partial or total, of the downstream region of the tip allows better visual dosing of the quantity of product delivered and generates an aesthetic effect where the user can see the cosmetic product circulating through the dispensing tip, as well as the support ribs having a particular design.

[0047] The invention also relates to a device for packaging and dispensing a cosmetic product comprising: - a container comprising a reservoir containing a cosmetic product and a neck defining a passage for dispensing the cosmetic product, - a nozzle as described above mounted in a sealed manner in the distribution passage.

[0048] According to one variant, the device for packaging and dispensing a cosmetic product according to the invention comprises the following characteristic: - the cosmetic product has a viscosity between 0.001 Pa.s and 1.5 Pa.s.

[0049] The architecture of the tip and the support ribs of the dispensing channel is such that the use of a high viscosity cosmetic product does not pose a problem, the dispensing channel being sufficiently held by the ribs to withstand the pressure of the user necessary for dispensing the viscous product.

[0050] Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear on reading the description which follows, given solely by way of example, and made with reference to the appended drawings, in which:

[0051] - [Fig. 1] [Fig. 1] is an exploded perspective view of a first device of packaging and distribution of product comprising a container and a dispensing nozzle,

[0052] - [Fig.2] [Fig.2] is a view of the dispensing nozzle of [Fig.l], taken in section along a median vertical plane containing a central axis of the tip, and

[0053] - [Fig.3] [Fig.3] is a bottom view of the dispensing nozzle of [Fig.l], section taken along a horizontal plane perpendicular to a central axis of the tip.

[0054] In all that follows, the terms “upstream” and “downstream” are generally understood in relation to the normal direction of distribution of the product during use.

[0055] A device 10 for packaging and dispensing a cosmetic product, comprising a dispensing tip according to the invention is illustrated in [Fig.l].

[0056] The device 10 extends here along a central axis A-A' shown vertically in [Fig.l].

[0057] The packaging and dispensing device 10 comprises a container 12, a cosmetic product 14 contained in the container 12, and a tip 16 for dispensing the cosmetic product outside the container 12. In this example, the device 10 also comprises a cover 18 closing the container 12 downstream, at the top in [Fig.l].

[0058] The cosmetic product 14 is for example a hair product, a hygiene product, a facial and / or body care product, a makeup product, or a sun protection product.

[0059] According to the invention, the cosmetic product has a viscosity of, for example, between 0.001 Pa.s and 1.5 Pa.s.

[0060] The viscosity of the cosmetic product is for example measured at 25°C using a Rhéomat 180 (LAMY Company) equipped with a MS-R1, MS-R2, MS-R3, MS-R4 or MS-R5 spindle chosen according to the consistency of the cosmetic product, rotating at a rotation speed of 200 rpm *. The measurement is taken after 10 min of rotation. The viscosity measurements are carried out at most 1 week after manufacture of the cosmetic product 14.

[0061] The container 12 comprises a reservoir 20 and a neck 22. The reservoir 20 is preferably made of polymer.

[0062] The reservoir 20 here has a side wall 24, a bottom 26, and a downstream edge 28. The reservoir 20 has in this example an elongated contour along an elongation axis B-B' perpendicular to the central axis A-A'.

[0063] The internal volume of the reservoir 20 is greater than 10 mL and is for example between 15 mL and 100 mL.

[0064] In the example shown in [Fig.l], the neck 22 comprises a cylindrical downstream region 30 around the central axis A-A' and an upstream region 32 widening upstream from the downstream region 30 to an upstream edge 34 extending the downstream edge 28 of tank 20.

[0065] The cylindrical downstream region 30 defines an internal dispensing passage 36 through which the cosmetic product 14 passes before being dispensed.

[0066] In this particular example, the upstream edge 34 of the upstream region 32 has an elongated contour along the elongation axis B-B' perpendicular to the central axis A-A'. In this example, the contour of the upstream edge 34 is oblong and has two end segments connected by two transverse segments of curvature greater than that of the end segments.

[0067] The upstream edge 34 and the downstream edge 28 define a support shoulder of the cover 18.

[0068] As visible in [Fig.l], the dispensing nozzle 16 is mounted in a sealed manner in the internal dispensing passage 36 of the neck 22.

[0069] The dispensing tip 16 ensures the dispensing of the cosmetic product downstream of the internal dispensing passage 36. As visible in FIGS. 1 and 2, the dispensing tip 16 has a cylindrical upstream region 38, engaged in a sealed manner in the internal dispensing passage 36 and a downstream region 40 of a shape converging towards the downstream, for example of a truncated cone shape, projecting axially beyond the neck 22.

[0070] The downstream region 40 is advantageously at least partially transparent, for example totally transparent. By “transparent” is meant in particular that the interior of the downstream region 40 is visible to the naked eye by a user from outside the downstream region 40. The user can therefore see the cosmetic product circulating inside the downstream region 40, and can thus more easily measure the quantity of product delivered. He can also see the internal structure of the dispensing tip 16.

[0071] With reference to [Fig. 2], the downstream region 40 of convergent shape is formed by an external skirt 41 which comprises an internal surface 42 and an external surface 44, as visible in [Fig. 2]. The external skirt 41 is convergent from the cylindrical upstream region 38 towards a downstream distribution orifice 50. In a median vertical plane containing a central axis of the nozzle 16, the downstream orifice 50 has a concave downstream edge 52.

[0072] The dispensing nozzle 16 also comprises an internal skirt 54 extending into the external skirt 4L. The internal skirt 54 and the external skirt 41 meet in a downstream region 55 of the nozzle 16 and project together axially beyond the downstream orifice 50.

[0073] The internal skirt 54 is formed of a tubular wall projecting into the external skirt 4L. It defines a distribution channel 56 for the cosmetic product 14. The distribution channel 56 extends along the central axis A-A' and has an upstream inlet 58 opening downstream via the downstream orifice 50. The distribution channel 56 is advantageously clear between the upstream inlet 58 and the downstream orifice 50.

[0074] The ratio between the thickness of the tubular wall, referenced EPI in [Fig.2] and taken perpendicular to the central axis A-A' of the channel 56, and the height of the projecting tubular wall, taken along the central axis A-A' is for example less than 0.15, preferably less than 0.10, advantageously less than 0.06.

[0075] In the example of [Fig.2], the distribution channel 56 is conical in shape, widening from the upstream inlet 58 to the downstream orifice 50. It has a maximum transverse extent DI at the downstream orifice 50 and a minimum transverse extent D2 at the upstream inlet 58. The ratio of the minimum transverse extent D2 to the maximum transverse extent DI is for example between 0.6 and 0.9.

[0076] The downstream outlet orifice 50 forms a downstream flare 60 having an angular extent y greater than 15°, in particular greater than 45° relative to the axis AA' of the distribution channel 46. This profile contributes to the sealing of the device 10 when the container 12 is closed by the cover 18, by cooperation with a central stud projecting from the cover 18 towards the inside.

[0077] The distribution channel 56 comprises, upstream of the downstream orifice 50, a region 62 for regulating the flow of product extending along the axis A-A'.

[0078] The regulation region 62 has a transverse extent D3 relative to the axis AA' of less than 2 mm over a height H3 taken in projection on the axis AA' of at least 5 mm, for example greater than 10 mm. Advantageously, this geometry regulates the flow of circulating product and makes it possible to precisely dose the quantity delivered.

[0079] The dispensing nozzle 16 also comprises ribs 64 for supporting the dispensing channel 56 extending between the outer skirt and the inner skirt 54, as seen in [Fig.3].

[0080] The ribs 64 are distributed angularly around the central axis of the distribution channel 56. The number of ribs 64 along an angular path of 360° around the central axis of the channel 56 is between 1 and 10, and is advantageously greater than 3.

[0081] With reference to [Fig. 3], the ribs 64 have, in at least one plane perpendicular to the central axis A-A' of the distribution channel 56, at least one interior point 65A, located in contact with the internal skirt 54 and at least one exterior point 65B located in contact with the external skirt 4L. The ribs 64 also have, in the perpendicular plane, at least one intermediate point P located away from each segment connecting the or each interior point 65A to the or each exterior point 65.

[0082] In particular, as shown in [Fig. 3], in the perpendicular plane, the intermediate point P is located away from a segment passing through the or each interior point 65A and passing through the central axis of the distribution channel 56, and is located away from a segment passing through the or each exterior point 65B and passing through the central axis A-A' of distribution channel 56.

[0083] In the example of [Fig.3], at least one segment connecting at least one interior point 65A to the or at least one exterior point 65B has at least one point located completely away from the rib 64, advantageously has at least one intermediate section located completely away from the rib 64.

[0084] More precisely, in the example shown, the ribs 64 are formed from a curved solid blade each extending continuously between an upstream edge 66, an outer edge 68 secured to the inner surface 42 of the outer skirt, and an inner edge 70 secured to the inner skirt 54. The outer edge 68 and the inner edge 70 of each rib 64 meet downstream at the downstream region 55, the outer skirt 41 joining the inner skirt 54 in this same downstream region 55.

[0085] Each upstream edge 66 is inclined downstream from the inner skirt 54 toward the outer skirt 41 and connects the innermost upstream point to the outermost upstream point of the rib 64.

[0086] Each outer edge 68 delimits, with each inner edge 70, two lateral surfaces 71 of the rib 64 separated by a thickness E along an angular path around the central axis of the distribution channel 56. The thickness E is for example between 0.4 mm and 0.8 mm. This thickness is sufficient to mechanically support the channel 56, in particular during its demolding, and provides an aesthetic appearance to the distribution tip 16.

[0087] In a plane containing an axis parallel to the central axis A-A' and intersecting a rib 64, the upstream edge 66 has a convex contour, between the lateral surfaces 71. The rounded upstream edge 66 limits the turbulence generated by the ribs 64 which present an obstacle to the circulation of the cosmetic product 14.

[0088] Still according to the example shown in [Fig.3], in the perpendicular plane, the section of each rib 64 connecting each interior point 65A to each exterior point 65B is curved and defines a convex face 72 and a concave face 74.

[0089] The ribs 64 protrude upstream of the upstream inlet 58 of the distribution channel 56, over an upstream height H2, advantageously of at least 0.3 mm.

[0090] The downstream height H1 of each rib 64 taken above the upstream inlet 58 of the channel 56 in projection on the central axis A-A' of the channel, is greater than the upstream height H2 of each rib 64 taken below the upstream inlet 58 of the channel 56, in projection on the central axis A-A' of the channel 56. The ratio between the upstream height H1 and the downstream height H2 is advantageously between 10 and 40, preferably between 13 and 36, in particular between 18 and 24.

[0091] The ribs 64 are distributed so as to form an aesthetic pattern, such as, for example, a helix (as visible in [Fig. 3]), or in a variant not shown, a flower, or even a sun, inside the dispensing nozzle 16. This pattern is advantageously visible when at least the downstream region 40 of the dispensing tip 16 is transparent.

[0092] Each pair of adjacent ribs 64 defines between two ribs 64 with the internal surface 42 of the external skirt and with the internal skirt 54, a blind cavity 75 closed downstream. The blind cavities 75 extend over the entire length, taken in projection on the central axis of the channel 56, of the external edges 68 and the internal edges 70 of each rib 64.

[0093] Each blind cavity 75 thus formed is closed downstream by the downstream region 55 where the outer edges 68 meet on the one hand with the inner edges 70, and on the other hand, the outer skirt 41 meets the inner skirt 54.

[0094] The ribs 64 ensure that the distribution channel 56 is held in place during the manufacturing steps, in particular during the demolding of the tip 16, in order to avoid any deformation of the channel 56. This is particularly the case when the tubular wall projecting into the external skirt is long and thin. Thus, it is possible to form a long and thin distribution channel 56, suitable for regulating the flow of cosmetic product 14, while having a hollow distribution tip 16, which limits the quantity of material used for the manufacture of the tip 16.

[0095] The ribs 64 thus prevent the channel 56 from being crushed during its manufacture. By advantageously extending between the internal skirt 54 and the internal surface 44 of the external skirt 41, the ribs 64 support the projecting tubular wall to which a significant portion of the forces are transmitted during demolding.

[0096] Furthermore, the ribs 64 provide a satisfactory aesthetic appearance to the packaging and dispensing device 10. Thus, a specific shape is given to them, an overall pattern of the ribs 64 is produced, without compromising the function of maintaining the dispensing channel 56. In addition, the ribs 64 guide the cosmetic product 14 towards the dispensing channel 56 and limit the obstruction of the upstream inlet 58 of the channel 56.
