Description

Title of the invention: Paper pulp composition made from silver films from the roasting of coffee beans TECHNICAL FIELD AND PRIOR ART

[0001] The present invention relates to a paper pulp composition and to a method of manufacturing said paper pulp.

[0002] Paper pulp is generally made from various cellulose compounds used as raw materials in the manufacture of paper pulp. These materials are mostly harvested specifically for the manufacture of paper pulp and products derived therefrom. These cellulose compounds are most often made from cellulose fibers contained in wood. It requires the separation of cellulose and lignin, for example by chemical treatment.

[0003] An example of a paper pulp manufacturing process is described in document FR2282500.

[0004] The manufacture of paper pulp therefore requires cutting down trees to recover the cellulose. However, we are trying to reduce deforestation.

[0005] Recycling paper helps to limit deforestation but it is not entirely satisfactory.

[0006] We then seek to propose at least in part a substitute for wood cellulose for manufacturing paper pulp.

[0007] Document FR2547328A1 describes a process for manufacturing paper pulp from palm branches and leaves. Statement of the invention

[0008] It is therefore an aim of the present application to provide a paper pulp which at least partially solves the above problem.

[0009] The aim stated above is achieved by a paper pulp comprising cellulose fibers from the silver film resulting from the roasting of coffee beans.

[0010] The silvery skin of green coffee beans separates from the seeds during roasting. This skin is composed largely of cellulose, around 95%, which makes it particularly suitable for the manufacture of paper pulp.

[0011] Such a film is currently used as fertilizer, mulch or fuel. The inventors thought of using it in the manufacture of paper pulp, and they discovered that the pulp obtained offered very good qualities.

[0012] The silver film has the advantage of already being small in size and being composed almost exclusively of cellulose, which significantly reduces the production steps. treatment compared to the production of paper pulp from wood. In addition, it allows for real recovery of waste, which can then be recycled.

[0013] The present invention also relates to a process for manufacturing paper pulp from silvered coffee films, which may comprise the steps: - Collection of silvered films, - Production of a solution by hydration of the silvered films, - Heating of the silvered films, - Treatment of silver films to separate cellulose fibers from lignin.

[0014] The present invention also relates to a process for manufacturing paper from paper pulp according to the invention comprising the step of producing bonds between the cellulose fibers, for example hydrogen bridges, obtained for example by at least partial dehydration of the paper pulp. Brief description of the drawings

[0015] The present application will be better understood with the aid of the description which follows and the single drawing in the appendix in which: - [Fig.l] is a schematic representation of an example of a paper pulp manufacturing process according to the invention. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS

[0016] The present invention is a paper pulp containing cellulose obtained from silvery films from the roasting of coffee beans.

[0017] The silver skin is a skin that is stuck to the green coffee bean. The parchment covers the silver skin. A coffee cherry contains two coffee beans facing each other surrounded by the pulp which is covered by a skin. It is the coffee bean covered with the silver skin that undergoes roasting.

[0018] We will describe an example of a process for manufacturing paper pulp according to the invention.

[0019] The silver films PA are separated from the coffee beans G during the roasting of the green coffee beans GV, and are recovered, as shown diagrammatically by step I in [Fig.l].

[0020] The silver PA films are mixed with a solution containing water to hydrate the films, as shown schematically by step II

[0021] In a subsequent step, the mixture of silver films and water is heated. For example, the mixture is heated in several steps, for example between 60°C and 85°C, then between 80°C and 200°C depending on the concentration of the mixture and the desired use, as shown diagrammatically in step III.

[0022] In a subsequent step, the fibers contained in the mixture are ground to soften or break the cellulose fibers and lignin in order to separate the fibers. of celluloses from lignin, as shown diagrammatically by step IV in [Fig. 1]. A grinder B is shown diagrammatically. The recovery of cellulose fibers is carried out according to a process well known to those skilled in the art.

[0023] Alternatively, a chemical treatment is used to separate the cellulose fibers from the lignin. Alternatively, both mechanical and chemical treatment are used to separate the cellulose fibers from the lignin.

[0024] We then have a paper pulp that can be used directly to make paper.

[0025] It will be understood that steps I, II and III can be carried out in the same enclosure, generally called a washing machine.

[0026] Alternatively, the grinding can take place dry, that is to say before the hydration phase of the silver films.

[0027] Paper or an intermediate product is obtained by treating the paper pulp according to the invention so as to create in particular hydrogen bridges between the cellulose fibers which ensures an internal unity to the paper. The treatment may consist of reducing at least in part and preferably almost completely the relative humidity of the paper pulp. The reduction may be obtained by drying and / or by chemical treatment.

[0028] Alternatively, the pulp is made from a mixture of silver films and wood fibers, which still has the advantage of reducing the amount of wood fibers required to make the pulp.

[0029] It is also possible to consider using silver films mixed with used paper in a paper recycling process.

[0030] The pulp obtained is also called basic composition and can then be transformed into paper, cardboard, kraft, or even molded cellulose. The paper pulp according to the invention can be used like any other paper pulp, in particular that containing wood cellulose.

[0031] Additives can be mixed with the paper pulp according to the invention in order to adapt the paper to its final use, the additives can affect the mechanical properties, the color, etc.

[0032] Thanks to the invention, part of the waste from coffee roasting is recovered, and the need for wood cellulose is reduced. In addition, collecting the silvery films is relatively easy since they fall off during roasting. It does not require an additional step before its use in the manufacture of paper pulp.

[0033] We have a compound rich in cellulose fibers for which the treatment is simplified compared to that of wood. In fact, the silver films are relatively thin and small, the grinding then requires machines that consume less energy.
