Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Railway vehicle car with improved floor sealing
[0001] The present invention relates to a railway vehicle car with improved ground tightness.
[0002] A railway vehicle car is already known in the state of the art, comprising a structural body comprising a floor panel, a covering panel fixed to the floor panel, and vertical walls.
[0003] A sealing mastic is generally provided on the periphery of this covering panel, in order to prevent leaks below the covering panel, linked to a flow of liquid resulting for example from cleaning or a spilled drink.
[0004] However, it appears that such a sealant deteriorates over time, reducing its effectiveness.
[0005] The invention aims in particular to remedy this drawback, by providing a railway vehicle car whose sealing at the periphery of the floor panel is improved.
[0006] For this purpose, the invention relates in particular to a railway vehicle car, comprising a structural body comprising a floor panel, a covering panel fixed to the floor panel, and side walls, characterized in that the structural body comprises at least one edge member arranged in a peripheral zone of the floor panel near one of the side walls, the edge member comprising a portion inclined upwards from the floor panel towards the side wall, the covering panel being fixed to an end zone of the edge member located on the side of the side wall, the edge member comprising a channel, arranged in said end zone, receiving a seal.
[0007] A car according to the invention may include one or more of the following characteristics, taken alone or in any technically conceivable combination.
[0008] - The car forms a restaurant car of the railway vehicle.
[0009] - The edge member is a hollow profile.
[0010] - The covering panel is made of elastomer.
[0011] - The edge organ is made of aluminum.
[0012] - The edge member has a rim in the end area, beyond the channel.
[0013] - The sum of the depth of the gutter and the thickness of the cladding panel is at least 5 mm.
[0014] - The cladding panel has a peripheral edge flush with the gutter.
[0015] - The floor panel comprises edge members at least on a part of its pe- edge and vertical plinths on at least one other part of its periphery.
[0016] Various aspects and advantages of the invention will be highlighted in the description which follows, given solely by way of non-limiting example and made with reference to the appended figures among which:
[0017] [Fig-1] [Fig.l] is a perspective view of a detail of a vehicle car automobile according to an exemplary embodiment of the invention, and
[0018] [Fig.2] [Fig.2] is a cross-sectional view of the detail of the car of [Fig.l].
[0019] The figures partially show a railway vehicle car 10.
[0020] The car 10 comprises a structural body 12 comprising a floor panel 14, a covering panel 16 fixed to the floor panel 14, and side walls 18. The side walls 18 are for example formed by trim elements or furniture walls equipping the car.
[0021] The floor panel 14 is for example made of wood. The covering panel 16 is preferably made of an elastomeric material.
[0022] The structural body 12 comprises at least one edge member 20 arranged in a corner between the floor panel 14 and one of the side walls 18.
[0023] The edge member 20 extends laterally between a first end zone 20a fixed to the floor panel 14, for example by gluing, and a second end zone 20b opposite the first end zone 20a, arranged close to the side wall 18.
[0024] The edge member 20 comprises an inclined portion 20c, inclined from the first lateral end zone 20a towards the second lateral end zone 20b. Thus, the first zone 20a is at a height lower than that of the second zone 20b.
[0025] As shown in [Fig.2], the covering panel 16 is attached to the edge member 20 in the second end region 20b. Thus, the covering panel 16 covers the first end region 20a and the inclined portion 20c.
[0026] The edge member 20 comprises a channel 22, arranged in the second end zone 20b. The covering panel 16 extends to this channel 22, until it is flush with an edge of this channel 22.
[0027] It will be noted that the groove 22 in fact serves as a guide for cutting the edge of the covering panel 16.
[0028] The channel 22 is also intended to receive a sealing joint 24, in particular a mastic, thus forming the seal at the edge of the covering panel 16.
[0029] Preferably, the mastic height is at least 5 mm. In the example described, this mastic height corresponds to the sum of the depth of the channel 22 and the thickness of the covering panel 16, as can be seen in [Fig.2].
[0030] Advantageously, the edge member 20 comprises, beyond the channel 22, a rim 26. In the event of liquid being splashed onto the covering panel 16, the liquid is slowed down by the inclined portion 20c, then stopped by the edge 26 and turns back as illustrated in [Fig.2].
[0031] According to a preferred embodiment, the edge member 20 is a hollow profile. Preferably, the edge member 20 is hollow in the inclined portion 20c.
[0032] The edge member 20 is for example made of aluminum.
[0033] It will be noted that the car 10 according to the invention is preferably a restaurant car of the railway vehicle. Indeed, a restaurant car is more subject to liquid spills on the floor, in particular in the event of drinks being spilled, or the floor being washed with water.
[0034] The floor panel 14 comprises edge members 20 at least on a portion of its periphery. According to a preferred embodiment, the floor panel 14 also comprises, on at least another portion of its periphery, vertical plinths.
[0035] These vertical plinths are for example made of sheets (i.e. thin metal pieces) which are elongated and have a sufficient height to prevent the passage of liquid.
[0036] Preferably, two adjacent plinths are connected by a joining piece, for example produced by 3D printing, the joining piece comprising a recess opposite a space between the two adjacent plinths, the recess being intended to receive a sealing mastic.
[0037] It will be noted that each plinth is for example folded at ground level, to include a horizontal fixing part intended to be fixed to the floor panel 14, for example by screwing.
[0038] The presence of these horizontal fixing parts implies openings at the bottom of the plinth in the areas where this plinth is folded to form an angle. Preferably, plugging pieces, for example made by three-dimensional printing, are fixed to the fixing part of the plinth, for example by screwing, so as to close the openings.
[0039] The covering panel 16 covers the floor panel 14 up to the baseboard. Sealant is applied along the bottom of each baseboard, in the angle between the covering panel 16 and the baseboard.
[0040] Preferably, the peripheral parts of the floor panel 14 receiving plinths are parts concealed by equipment, for example furniture or stair steps, and the peripheral parts of the floor panel 14 receiving the edge members are the visible parts of this periphery.
[0041] It will be noted that the invention is not limited to the embodiment previously described, and could have various variants without departing from the scope of the claims.
