Abstract
The present invention relates to a method and device for controlling a charging alert system for an electric vehicle. Specifically, the method comprises receiving (31) initial data representing a specific time point, determining (32) the charging status of the electric vehicle at that time point, and controlling (33) the alert system based on the charging status. This control includes transmitting a second set of data representing a first message to a mobile communication device when the electric vehicle is not connected to the charging station at that time point.
