Description

Title of the invention: Fixing block for external thermal insulation system technical field

[0001] The invention relates to the field of external building insulation, and more particularly to that of fixing facade elements after said insulation.

[0002] The invention finds in particular an advantageous application for fixing elements on the edge of a frame of an opening in a building facade, such as a window, French window, bay window, etc. Previous art

[0003] In the field of building construction, it is known to insulate building facades from the outside.

[0004] Due to the thickness of the insulation system, it is necessary to relocate the fixing of the facade elements, such as shutter hinges, railings, awnings and canopies, blinds, etc.

[0005] To do this, it is known to use blocks made of thermally insulating materials, to be anchored on the facade of the building, to allow universal fixing of the facade elements on the external thermal insulation system and for example at the edge of a frame of an opening made in the facade of the building.

[0006] This type of block includes: - a portion intended to be screwed into the facade, - a face referred to as the facade, intended to be positioned parallel to and flush with the facade of the building and to serve as a universal fixing wall for a facade element, such as a shutter hinge or a railing, - a face called the picture face, orthogonal to the facade face and intended to be positioned parallel and flush with the picture of the opening in the building.

[0007] These blocks are suitable and are used for the remote and thermal bridge-free mounting of the aforementioned elements, such as shutter hinges, railings, etc.

[0008] However, one of the disadvantages of this type of block is that it creates a difficulty when subsequently applying a coating or plaster to the opening frame; the plaster at the level of said block does not adhere properly, or does not last over time. Description of the invention

[0009] One of the aims of the invention is therefore to remedy the problem of the prior art by providing a universal fixing block on an external thermal insulation system and on the edge of a frame of an opening in a building facade, allowing to improve the durability of the plaster or render over time.

[0010] To this end, a block has been developed comprising, in a known manner: - a portion intended to be fixed to the facade by means of screws, - a face called the facade face, intended to be positioned parallel and flush with the facade of the building and to serve as a universal fixing wall for a facade element, such as a shutter hinge, a railing, or a blind, - a face called the frame face, orthogonal to the facade face, intended to be positioned parallel to and flush with the frame of the opening,

[0011] According to the invention, the table face of the block has a plurality of raised and / or recessed elements promoting the adhesion of a coating or a facade plaster.

[0012] In this way, when applying a coating or plaster to the opening frame, it penetrates the hollow elements, or is retained by the raised elements, which makes it easier to apply, promotes its adhesion to the frame, and its durability over time.

[0013] Based on this concept, various embodiments can be imagined. For example, the panel face may have a plurality of cavities or openings into which the plaster or render can penetrate. In one particular embodiment, the elements take the form of a plurality of parallel and horizontal grooves. The horizontality of the recessed and / or raised elements provides better support for the plaster or render.

[0014] Preferably, the grooves have an undercut section, such as for example a dovetail section.

[0015] In order to facilitate the fixing of the block on the facade, the portion of the block intended to be fixed to the facade preferably has pre-drilled holes.

[0016] According to a particular embodiment, the block according to the invention has an L-shaped form, the table face forming the base of the L-shaped form.

[0017] Preferably, the small arm of the L-shaped block is graduated from the front face to an opposite face, which allows reference points to be made so that the craftsman can cut the block according to the thickness of the facade insulation.

[0018] Advantageously, the small branch of the L of the block includes breakable portions to shorten its length, thus saving time for the craftsman.

[0019] Advantageously, the portion of the block intended to be fixed in the facade includes a recessed portion formed at the intersection between a bearing face against the facade and the reveal face. This recessed portion is intended to receive, by means of an engagement, at least part of a shutter hinge that remained anchored in the building's facade during the exterior insulation.

[0020] Under these conditions, when the craftsman has to relocate the shutter hinges, he can position the block on the old hinge which fits into the recessed portion, and not having to remove the old hinge, or simply a part of it, such as the axle for example. Brief description of the drawings

[0021] Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a universal fixing block on an external thermal insulation system according to the invention.

[0022] The [Fig.2] is a front side view of the block according to the invention.

[0023] The [Fig.3] is a front view of the table side of the block according to the invention.

[0024] Figure 4 is a perspective view of the block according to the invention, illustrating a part hollowed out, intended to cover at least part of an old shutter hinge. Detailed description of the invention

[0025] With reference to figures 1 to 4, the invention relates to a universal fixing block (1) made of a non-heat-conducting material, such as polyamide, preferably recycled.

[0026] The fastening block (1) is preferably one piece and comprises the following elements: - a portion (2) intended to be fixed in a building facade by means of serial screws; - a facade face (3) positioned parallel to the facade of the building to serve as a universal fixing wall for a facade element, not shown; - a picture face (4) positioned orthogonally to the facade face (3) to align with the picture of the opening made in the facade of the building.

[0027] The table face (4) comprises a plurality of raised and / or recessed elements (5) designed to promote the adhesion of a facade coating.

[0028] The raised and / or recessed elements (5) may take the form of parallel and horizontal grooves, continuous or discontinuous. These grooves are designed with an undercut section, such as a dovetail section, to further improve the adhesion of the facade coating.

[0029] The portion (2) intended to be fixed to the facade may have pre-drilled holes (2a) to facilitate the installation process. In addition, the block (1) may have an L-shape, where the table face (4) forms the base of the L.

[0030] The shorter arm of the L can be graduated, see graduations (3a) in [Fig. 1], from the front face (3) and preferably to an opposite face. This shorter arm of the L can also include breakable sections, optionally defined between the graduations (3a), thus allowing its length to be shortened to adapt to the specific needs of the installation.

[0031] Advantageously and with reference to [Fig. 4], the portion (2) of the block intended to be fixed in the facade of the building comprises a hollowed-out portion (6) provided at the intersection between a support face (2b) against the facade and the picture face (4).

[0032] This hollowed portion (6) is intended to receive in engagement at least part of a shutter hinge which remained anchored in the facade of the building during the insulation from the outside, and therefore has suitable dimensions.

[0033] Under these conditions, when the craftsman has to move the shutter hinges, he can position the block on the old hinge, and in particular at least on the lower part of the old hinge, which fits into the hollowed portion (6).

[0034] This improves installation time since the craftsman does not need to remove the old hinge, or simply a part such as the axle for example.

[0035] It follows from the foregoing that the invention provides a universal fixing block that simplifies and secures the fixing of facade elements onto an external thermal insulation system. The raised and / or recessed elements on the panel face improve the adhesion of the facade coating, thus ensuring an aesthetically pleasing and durable finish. The L-shaped design of the block, with graduated and cut options, allows for optimal adaptability to various installation configurations.
