Title of the invention: Device for the technical inspection and / or repair and / or maintenance of two or three-wheeled vehicles

[0001] The present invention relates to a device for the technical control and / or repair and / or maintenance of two or three-wheeled vehicles.

[0002] It relates in particular to a device for the technical inspection and / or repair and / or maintenance of two or three-wheeled rolling stock, said device comprising a plate having a top face and a bottom face, said plate being delimited by two longitudinal edges and two transverse edges, at least the longitudinal edges of the plate being dropped edges.

[0003] The technical inspection and / or repair and / or maintenance operations of two or three-wheeled rolling stock are carried out in workshops which may be of variable size. Until now, such devices include, in addition to a platform, a platform elevation system which is inseparable from the platform. This results in a significant bulkiness of the device. In addition to its bulkiness, such a device involves a significant financial investment which some repair workshops cannot afford at the time of their creation.

[0004] An aim of the invention is to propose a device for the technical inspection and / or repair and / or maintenance of two or three-wheeled rolling machinery, the design of which allows for reduced bulk and easy handling while allowing easy conversion to a lifting bridge.

[0005] To this end, the invention relates to a device for the technical inspection and / or repair and / or maintenance of two- or three-wheeled rolling stock, said device comprising a platform having a top face and a bottom face, said platform being delimited by two longitudinal edges and two transverse edges, at least the longitudinal edges of the platform being flanged edges, characterized in that the platform has a length taken between the two transverse edges of between 2000 and 2500 mm and a width less than or equal to 1000 mm, each flanged longitudinal edge is equipped, on its face opposite the opposite flanged longitudinal edge, with a rail cooperating with the bottom face of the platform to form a guide path,the tray is provided with lugs for fixing said tray to the floor and the top face of the tray includes, over the first third of its length taken from one of the transverse edges, at least two studs and at least two tapped holes.

[0006] The creation of guideways allows the coupling of a lifting system at any time. The presence of fixing lugs on the ground allows, in an easy manner, a secure holding in position of said platform if necessary. The arrangement of the face of the The top of the platform allows the tool-free attachment of a wheel vice which can be quickly removed. The device can therefore be operated extremely easily while being convertible into a lifting platform if necessary.

[0007] According to one embodiment of the invention, the transverse edge of the tray furthest from the pads is equipped with a ramp. This results in easier access to the tray.

[0008] According to one embodiment of the invention, one of the transverse edges of the tray is equipped with at least one wheel with a rotation axis parallel to said transverse edge to allow movement by rolling on the ground of the tray in the raised state of the opposite transverse edge of said tray. Thus, the device can be easily moved to clear space and possibly be stored in an upright position.

[0009] According to one embodiment of the invention, the transverse edge of the tray equipped with at least one wheel is the transverse edge of the tray closest to the studs, the device comprises at the level of the transverse edge of the tray opposite to that equipped with at least one wheel and which can be provided with a ramp, at least one cutout of the tray or of the ramp to form a handle for gripping said device. Again, this design allows easy handling of the device.

[0010] According to one embodiment of the invention, the or one of the cutouts of the ramp for forming a grip handle is a notch provided in the edge of the ramp opposite the edge connecting the ramp to the plate.

[0011] According to one embodiment of the invention, each longitudinal edge of the tray is folded towards the inside of the tray to form a hollow longitudinal edge. This hollow edge forms, in the manner of a beam, a stiffening element of the tray.

[0012] According to one embodiment of the invention, the device comprises a scissor-type lifting system which can be coupled to said platform, this lifting system comprising two crosspieces connected to each other by crossbars, each crosspiece being formed of two cross-shaped arms connected by a pivot connection, one of the arms of each crosspiece being equipped at one of its ends with a roller and a roller-carrying axle, said axle being capable of being inserted into one of the guide paths of the platform. The axle / guide path cooperation allows the adaptation of a large number of lifting systems, whether pneumatic, hydraulic or electric. Brief description of the drawings

[0014] [Fig-1] represents a perspective view of a device according to the invention with a detail view of a leg;

[0015] [Fig.2] represents a perspective view of a device according to the invention with a detail view of a wheel;

[0016] [Fig.3] represents a perspective view of a device according to the invention equipped with a wheel vice;

[0017] [Fig.4] represents a partial perspective view of a wheel vice ready to be fixed to the plate;

[0018] [Fig.5] represents a partial perspective view of an elevation system engaged with a guide path;

[0019] [Fig.6] represents a sectional view of [Fig.5];

[0020] [Fig.7] represents a perspective view of a device according to the invention including a lifting system.

[0021] As mentioned above, the invention relates to a device 1 for the technical inspection and / or repair and / or maintenance of two or three-wheeled rolling vehicles, such as a motorcycle, a three-wheeled vehicle or the like.

[0022] This device 1 comprises, as illustrated in [Fig.l], a plate 2 generally made of metal. This plate 2, of quadrangular shape, in particular rectangular, has a top face 3, a bottom face 4, and is delimited by two longitudinal edges 5 and two transverse edges 6.

[0023] This plate 2 has a length of between 2000 and 2500 millimeters, this length being taken between the two transverse edges 6 of the plate 2 and a width taken between the two longitudinal edges 5 of the plate 2 less than or equal to 1000 millimeters. In the example shown, the plate 2 has a length equal to 2200 mm and a width equal to 750 mm.

[0024] At least the longitudinal edges 6 of the plate are flanged edges. In the example of [Fig.l], the transverse edges 6 are also flanged edges. As illustrated in [Fig.6], each longitudinal edge 5 flanged from the plate 2 is folded towards the inside of the plate 2 to form a hollow longitudinal flanged edge. This folding of the flanged edge to form a hollow profile makes it possible to reinforce the rigidity of the plate.

[0025] Each longitudinal edge 5 fallen is equipped, on its face opposite the opposite longitudinal edge 5 fallen, with a rail 7 cooperating with the underside face 4 of the plate 2 to form a guide path 8 visible in [Fig.5] and 6.

[0026] This rail 7 is in the form of a blade parallel to the underside 4 of the plate 2. The space left free between the underside 4 of the plate 2 and the blade forms the guide path 8. This guide path 8 is intended to receive part of a lifting system 15, as illustrated in [Fig.7]. The rail 7 generally extends over part of the length of the dropped longitudinal edge 5.

[0027] In the example of [Fig.7], the elevation system 15 is a scissor-type elevation system. This elevation system 15 comprises two crosspieces 16 connected together by crosspieces 17. Each crosspiece 16 is formed of two arms 18 in a cross, connected by a pivot connection 19. One of the arms 18 of each crosspiece 16 is equipped, at one of its ends, with a roller 20 and a roller-carrying axle 21. Said axle 21 is capable of being inserted into one of the guide paths 8 of the plate 2.

[0028] An actuator, such as a jack or an air cushion, allows the crosspieces to be deformed in the direction of raising or lowering the plate 2. In the lowered state of the plate, the height of the device can be between 170 and 200 mm or between 70 and 130 mm when the device 1 is extra flat.

[0029] In the absence of a lifting system 15, the tray 2 can be fixed to the ground on which it rests. For this purpose, the tray 2 is provided with lugs 9 for fixing the tray 2 to the ground. These lugs 9 are here four in number and are each formed by an L-shaped part with each branch of the L provided with a through-hole. One of the branches of the L rests on a longitudinal edge dropped from the tray 2, while the other branch of the L is intended to rest on the ground.

[0030] The fixing of the leg 9 to the plate 2 can be carried out by screwing.

[0031] The top face 3 of the board comprises, for its part, on the first third of its length taken from one of the transverse edges 6, at least two studs 10 and at least two tapped holes 11. These studs 10 and tapped holes 11 form the angles of a trapezoid seen from above the plate 2. These studs 10 and holes 11 allow a wheel vice 22 to be accommodated, as illustrated in [Fig.3].

[0032] The wheel vice 22 can be fixed using butterfly screws 23 cooperating with the tapped holes 11 while the studs 10 fit into holes in the wheel vice, as illustrated in [Fig.4]. This results in easy, rapid and tool-free installation of the wheel vice on the plate 2, on the face side of the top 3 of said plate 2.

[0033] The device 1 may, as illustrated in [Fig.2], comprise a ramp 12 which equips the transverse edge 6 of the plate 2 furthest from the studs 10.

[0034] To perfect the device 1, one of the transverse edges 6 of the plate 2 can be equipped with at least one wheel 13 with an axis of rotation parallel to said transverse edge 6 to allow movement by rolling on the ground of the plate 2 in the raised state of the transverse edge 6 opposite said plate 2.

[0035] Wheels 13 are visible in [Fig. 2]. These wheels are here each held between the branches of the U of a U-shaped stirrup fixed by its core to a transverse edge of the plate. The plate here comprises two wheels at its transverse edge 6. The axes of rotation of the wheels are merged. Alternatively, a single wheel could have been provided at said transverse edge 6.

[0036] It is noted that the transverse edge 6 of the plate 2 equipped with wheels 13 is the transverse edge 6 of the plate 2 closest to the studs 10.

[0037] The device comprises, at the level of the transverse edge 6 of the plate 2 opposite that equipped with wheels 13 and which can be provided with a ramp 12, at least one cutout 14 of the plate 2 or of the ramp 12 to form a handle for gripping the device 1.

[0038] In the example of [Fig.2], the cutout 14 is made in the ramp 12. These cutouts 14 are two in number and are each formed by a notch made in the edge of the ramp 12 opposite the edge connecting the ramp 12 to the plate 2.

[0039] The device 1 can thus be inclined downward from the ramp 12 towards the wheels 13 and can be moved on the ground via the wheels 13. This results in simplicity and ease of movement of the device 1.

[0040] The cutout(s) 14 could, in a similar manner, have been made directly either at the heart of the ramp 12 or at the level of the plate without departing from the scope of the invention.

[0041] The device 1, as described above, can be used indifferently, either with the platform 2 resting on the ground, or with the platform 2 resting on a lifting system 15. The transition from one configuration to the other is easy. In both configurations, the fixing of a wheel vice on the platform 2 is quick and safe.
