AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing floor sweeping technologies struggle to efficiently collect and store large waste items such as bottles and cans, due to limitations in brush design and adaptability to irregular surfaces.

Method used

A floor scanning machine equipped with two parallel and tangent rotary brushes, where the secondary brush is designed to float and adapt to irregularities, allowing the passage of large waste items and directing them towards a storage bin.

Benefits of technology

The machine effectively collects and stores large waste items by pinching and climbing them with the dual brush system, while also adapting to different ground surfaces and reducing wear on the main brush.

Description

Title of the invention: LARGE WASTE COLLECTOR SWEEPER DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a floor sweeping machine which also allows the sweepings to be collected in a storage bin provided for this purpose. There are already different types of sweepers which have a rotating brush with a horizontal axis mounted on a chassis with wheels and means of coupling to a towing vehicle. The rotating brush extends perpendicular to the direction of travel of the towing vehicle; it is associated with a bin or container which forms a collector for the swept material, according to the principle of shovel collection. The present invention proposes a new sweeper which, even of relatively simple design, has a significant capacity for collecting and storing swept materials and allows the collection of large waste such as bottles, cans, packaging, etc. In order to collect these large items, two brushes cooperate together, the first of which is completely floating in height and / or lengthwise in order to pass this large waste. This sweeping and sweeping collection machine is of the type consisting of a chassis mounted on wheels and equipped with means of coupling to a vehicle which tows it, such as an agricultural tractor, a trolley, etc. [Fig. 2]. This chassis carries two cylindrical rotating brushes with a horizontal axis which extends perpendicular to the direction of travel and which is associated with a storage bin for the swept materials [Fig. 1]. According to the invention, the main rotating brush cooperates with a second secondary brush parallel to the main one, which makes it possible to propel the swept materials over it and backwards [Fig. 3], towards the storage bin which is pivotally mounted on the supporting chassis; on the other hand, the coupling means allow the lifting of this machine by the towing vehicle, in particular to ensure the emptying operation of the storage bin, by a pivoting maneuver of the latter. This secondary brush can be composed of one or more elements. Its floating system allows the passage of large waste but also to adapt to irregularities in roads and surfaces to be swept. In addition, this second brush acts as a screen to prevent the main brush from being thrown forward. This sweeper always works in the same direction of travel; it is towed depending on the type of vehicle used. The supporting frame is preferably in the form of a box which covers and surrounds the rotating brush and the storage bin; it is provided with support wheels on the ground in front of and behind the rotating brush. According to a preferred embodiment, the storage bin is subjected to the action of a system of jack(s) for maneuvering around its pivot axis.

[0002] The present invention makes it possible, by associating two parallel and tangent brushes, to pinch and grab large waste. The system adapts to the ground by an oscillation of angle [3 [Fig.4] and to the wear of the main brush [Fig.5] according to a light of length Y [Fig.4].

Claims

Claims

1. - Machine for sweeping and collecting swept materials consisting of a chassis (2) mounted on wheels (3, 4) and provided with coupling means (5) to a vehicle which tows or pushes it, which chassis (2) carries two cylindrical rotating brushes (1 and 6) parallel to each other and perpendicular to the direction of travel, said brushes (1 and 6) being associated with a bin (22) for storing the swept materials, characterized in that the secondary rotating brush (6) is completely floating in height and / or longitudinally to remain tangential to the main brush (1) and to allow large waste to be caught and gripped to propel the swept materials over said brush (1) and backwards towards a storage bin (22).

2. - Machine according to claim 1, characterized in that the floating system (7) comprises a long opening (Y) allowing the secondary brush (6) to be tangent to the main brush (1) regardless of the wear of the latter.

3. - Machine according to any one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the support (7) of the secondary brush (6) pivots around the axis (X) at a maximum angle (|3) to compensate for oscillations and deformations of the floor to be swept.

4. - Machine according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the brushes (1 and 6) are composed of one or more sections.

5. - Machine according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the floating system (7) comprises a long opening (Y) allowing the secondary brush (6) to move away from the main brush (1) to facilitate the pinching and passage of very large waste.
