Description

Title of the invention: TILTING MAT WITH FOLDABLE SUPPORT

[0001] The invention relates to a foldable parasol base [Fig. 1-Wedge] provided with a tilting mast [Fig.2-Mast].

[0002] The holding support (foot), as well as the mast, are removable and can be detached from each other.

[0003] The problem with parasols, especially on the beach, is finding a solution to stabilise them in order to limit wind resistance and the risk of personal injury. Furthermore, they often have to be moved depending on the direction of the sun.

[0004] In terms of support, there are different models. Most of them are bulky and / or heavy to transport and store. In addition, they are often difficult to empty of ballast materials due to a long and tedious filling system.

[0005] Concerning beach umbrellas, if you are not equipped with a support, you dig a hole in the ground in order to plant the umbrella, which you reinforce with stones, pebbles, sand or other. This forms a weight at the foot of the mast to stabilize it. However, there are inventions, such as screw-on feet, but which sometimes present anchoring difficulties, risks of breakage or which are not adaptable to different sizes or diameters of masts.

[0006] The invention aims to solve these problems and to propose a parasol base that is easily transportable, lightweight, easy to use and clean, and which takes up little space. It also proposes a mast equipped with a 360° tilting system, particularly for parasols.

[0007] The invention comprises a support which is a waterproof or liquid-impermeable envelope, capable of being easily filled with a ballast material. It makes it possible to withstand a significant torque transmitted by the mast without deforming it or letting it fall.

[0008] To add extra stability to the ballast material, the envelope is provided with an additional support with a narrow entry hole that allows the mast to be inserted, held and driven into the ground or not. This is not an obligation, the support is still done, perhaps foldable, flexible, removable or detachable.

Claims

Claims

1. The present invention provides a wedge that is placed under a mast and is flat when folded. It can be unfolded because it is deformable, dismountable, removable and flexible. It is lightweight, space-saving for transport and storage, and can be used with or without ballast material.

2. Once unfolded, the wedge's format provides support and stability that limits swinging, falls, as well as wind resistance and the risk of bodily injury. The ballast provides additional reinforcement for optimal stability.

3. The wedge of the present invention comprises a watertight or impermeable envelope provided with an orifice in its center, allowing the mast to be accommodated therein. The diameter may be standard or adapted to all the diameters of the different existing masts.

4. Around this wedge, the envelope is dug with a trench to easily receive ballast materials, which make it possible to reinforce, if necessary, the support of the mast. This format facilitates the filling and emptying of materials in a very short time and does not require too large a quantity. It is enough to tilt or turn the wedge over to empty it.

5. The holding bracket (foot) as well as the mast are removable and can be detached from each other.

6. The mast is composed of three parts: a fixed part, which is connected to a 360-degree rotating part in the center, which itself is connected to a tilting part. This tilting part is provided with a male tenon intended to be inserted into a female part of another part which holds the two by interlocking. This other 360-degree part is provided with several female parts which allow several possible interlocking options and therefore various choices of inclinations: north, south, east, west, northeast, northwest, southeast and southwest. And this, without moving the parasol from its place.
