Description

Title of the invention: Composite insulation panel, composite insulation system and method of manufacturing such a composite insulation panel

[0001] The present invention relates to a composite insulation panel, a composite insulation system comprising at least two composite insulation panels and a method of manufacturing such a composite insulation panel.

[0002] The present invention relates to the field of construction, more particularly the field of insulation of a construction and, more specifically, the field of manufacturing devices for insulating such a construction, from the inside of this construction.

[0003] Devices for insulating a building are already known which take the form of an insulation panel made from expanded polystyrene foam, polyurethane foam, mineral wool, cellulose wadding or wood fibers. Such insulation panels have a significant thickness so that, when they are fixed to the internal face of a wall of a building, they significantly reduce the habitable surface area of the building.

[0004] A solution has been provided to this problem in the form of a vacuum insulation panel, usually called "VIP" which is an acronym for the Anglo-Saxon term for "Vacuum Insulation Panel". Such a vacuum insulation panel has a reduced thickness compared to the insulation panels mentioned above, which makes it possible to limit the loss of living space.

[0005] However, such a vacuum insulation panel has the disadvantage of not being able to be drilled or cut without losing its insulation characteristics. Also, when it comes to insulating a wall with such vacuum insulation panels, it is necessary, first of all, to carry out a particularly fine and precise layout of the wall to be insulated, before transmitting the elements of this layout to a manufacturer for the purpose of manufacturing the vacuum insulation panels. These operations are particularly delicate, long and time-consuming, which has an adverse impact on the insulation time of the construction. In addition, these operations as well as the handling and installation of these vacuum insulation panels require the intervention of qualified personnel with specific expertise.

[0006] Another disadvantage of these vacuum insulation panels is that, once the vacuum insulation panels are fixed to the wall, it is necessary to carry out the joining, coating and cladding of these vacuum insulation panels. Here again, these operations are delicate and time-consuming and require the intervention of personnel qualified and expert.

[0007] The present invention aims to remedy, at least in part, the drawbacks of the isolation devices of the state of the art.

[0008] For this purpose, the invention relates to a composite insulation panel which comprises, on the one hand, a vacuum insulation panel which has two large parallel faces as well as lateral sides, and, on the other hand, a coating, which covers at least a part of one of the two large parallel faces of the vacuum insulation panel, and which comprises a mixture which contains at least jute and at least corn.

[0009] Another characteristic concerns the fact that the coating contains at least, on the one hand, between 50% and 70% by mass of jute and, on the other hand, between 30% and 50% by mass of corn, so that the sum of the percentages is at most equal to 100%.

[0010] Yet another feature is that the composite insulation panel comprises a covering element which covers at least a portion of the covering and which extends over at least a portion of this covering. This covering element comprises means for protecting the covering against mechanical actions. Alternatively or additionally, this covering element has a particular color and / or has particular patterns and / or is transparent or translucent.

[0011] According to another characteristic, the composite insulation panel comprises at least one edge, on the one hand, which extends from at least one lateral side of the vacuum insulation panel and in the extension of said at least one lateral side of this vacuum insulation panel, on the other hand, which is made of an insulating material comprising an aerogel and, on the other hand, which is configured to be cut.

[0012] Another characteristic concerns the fact that the composite insulation panel has at least one information zone which includes information relating to whether or not the information zone can be cut.

[0013] According to another characteristic, the composite insulation panel has at least one information zone which includes information relating to whether or not the information zone can be cut.

[0014] The invention also relates to a composite insulation system which comprises, on the one hand, two composite insulation panels which are juxtaposed and, on the other hand, mounting means which are configured to mount the two composite insulation panels on a structural element of a construction. This composite insulation system is characterized by the fact that, on the one hand, the two composite insulation panels have at least some of the characteristics described above, on the other hand, the mounting means comprise a support which is configured to be made fixedly integral with the structural element as well as fixing means which are configured to fix the two composite insulation panels on said support and, on the other hand, the insulation system includes means for concealing these mounting means

[0015] Finally, the invention relates to a method for manufacturing a composite insulation panel which has the characteristics mentioned above. This manufacturing method comprises, on the one hand, a step of producing a mixture which contains at least jute and corn, on the other hand, a step of covering at least a portion of one of the two large parallel faces of a vacuum insulation panel with the mixture, and on the other hand, a step of hardening the mixture.

[0016] Thus, the invention relates to a composite insulation panel which comprises, on the one hand, a vacuum insulation panel and, on the other hand, a coating which comprises a mixture which contains at least jute and corn.

[0017] Advantageously, such a composite insulation panel is directly ready for use, does not require any additional intervention (such as the installation of a joint, coating and / or cladding), and constitutes a so-called finishing solution.

[0018] In addition, the presence of jute in the mixture advantageously increases the thermal insulation performance of the composite insulation panel while increasing its mechanical strength. Additionally, the presence of jute advantageously increases the acoustic performance (more particularly sound attenuation) of the composite insulation panel. In addition, the presence of jute advantageously gives the composite insulation panel better resistance to mold and moisture as well as to pests (more particularly insects and / or spiders). Finally, the presence of jute advantageously allows the composite insulation panel to absorb certain toxins as well as carbon dioxide.

[0019] Additionally, the composite insulation panel comprises at least one edge which is made of an insulating material and which is configured to be cut. The presence of this edge advantageously makes it possible to cut a portion of the composite insulation panel to adjust the shape and dimensions of the latter to those of the structural element to be insulated, while maintaining high insulation performance.

[0020] Yet another feature concerns the fact that the composite insulation panel has at least one information zone which includes information relating to the cuttable nature or not of the information zone. This advantageously makes it possible to avoid cutting the vacuum insulation panel which would lead to losing the insulation performance conferred by this vacuum insulation panel. This also makes it possible, in the presence of a cuttable edge, to authorize only the cutting of this edge without degrading the vacuum insulation panel while adjusting the shapes and / or dimensions of the composite insulation panel to the element structural element to be insulated and, thus, ensure optimal insulation of this structural element.

[0021] Other aims and advantages of the present invention will appear during the description which follows relating to embodiments which are given only as indicative and non-limiting examples.

[0022] Understanding of this description will be facilitated by referring to the attached drawings in which:

[0023] [Fig. 1] represents a schematic and perspective view of a first embodiment of a composite insulation panel according to the invention.

[0024] [Fig.2] represents a schematic and perspective view of a second embodiment of a composite insulation panel according to the invention.

[0025] [Fig.3] represents a schematic and cutaway view of a third embodiment of a composite insulation panel according to the invention.

[0026] [Fig.4] represents a schematic and perspective view of a fourth embodiment of a composite insulation panel according to the invention.

[0027] With reference to the figures of the attached drawings, the present invention relates to the field of construction, more particularly the field of insulation of a construction and, more specifically, the field of manufacturing devices for insulating such a construction, this from the inside of this construction.

[0028] The invention then relates to a composite insulation panel 1 which comprises, on the one hand, a vacuum insulation panel 2 usually called “VIP” which is an acronym of the Anglo-Saxon name for “Vacuum Insulation Panel”.

[0029] Such a vacuum insulation panel 2 has two large parallel faces (20; 20') as well as lateral sides (21; 21').

[0030] Such a vacuum insulation panel 2 extends along a plane which is parallel to a plane along which one 20 or the other 20' of the two large parallel faces (20; 20') extends.

[0031] According to another characteristic, such a vacuum insulation panel 2 has a thickness of between 15mm and 25mm, preferably between 18mm and 22mm, in particular of the order of 20mm.

[0032] Yet another characteristic consists in that the vacuum insulation panel 2 comprises, internally, glass fibers, on the one hand, which each extend along a plane which is parallel to the plane along which the vacuum insulation panel 2 extends and, on the other hand, which have a thickness (in particular a diameter) of between 3 microns and 12 microns (more particularly between 6 microns and 9 microns) and a length of between 2 centimeters and 12 centimeters (more particularly between 5 centimeters and 9 centimeters).

[0033] These glass fibers are arranged in the form of a plurality of layers of glass fibers which are superimposed and parallel to the plane along which the insulation panel vacuum 2 extends.

[0034] These characteristics advantageously make it possible to give the vacuum insulation panel 2 a thermal conductivity / . of between 0.0005 W / (mK) and 0.0025 W / (mK), more particularly of between 0.0010 W / (mK) and 0.0020 W / (mK), in particular of the order of 0.0015 W / (mK).

[0035] On the other hand, the composite insulation panel 1 comprises a coating 3 which covers at least a part of one 20 of the two large parallel faces (20; 20') of the vacuum insulation panel 2.

[0036] According to a preferred embodiment, this coating 3 covers the entirety of one 20 of the two large parallel faces (20; 20') of the vacuum insulation panel 2.

[0037] According to another characteristic, this coating 3 comprises a mixture which contains at least jute and at least corn.

[0038] In this regard, it will be observed that this mixture then contains at least jute fibers and / or at least corn fibers. According to a preferred embodiment, this mixture contains at least jute fibers and at least corn fibers.

[0039] The presence of corn (in particular corn fibers) advantageously allows the adhesion of plant fibers (in particular jute fibers) to each other and / or to the vacuum insulation panel 2.

[0040] According to another characteristic, the coating 3 contains at least, on the one hand, between 50% and 70% by mass of jute, more particularly jute fibers and, on the other hand, between 30% and 50% by mass of corn, more particularly corn fibers, so that the sum of the percentages is at most equal to 100%, preferably equal to 100%.

[0041] Preferably, the coating 3 contains at least, on the one hand, between 55% and 65% by mass of jute, more particularly jute fibers and, on the other hand, between 35% and 45% by mass of corn, more particularly corn fibers, so that the sum of the percentages is at most equal to 100%, preferably equal to 100%.

[0042] In particular, the coating 3 contains around 60% by mass of jute (more particularly jute fibers) and around 40% by mass of corn (more particularly corn fibers), so that the sum of the percentages is at most equal to 100%, preferably equal to 100%.

[0043] According to another characteristic, the coating 3 has a thickness of between 2 mm and 6 mm, preferably between 3 mm and 5 mm, in particular of the order of 4 mm.

[0044] Thus and as mentioned above, on the one hand, the vacuum insulation panel 2 may have a thickness of between 15mm and 25mm and, on the other hand, the coating 3 may have a thickness of between 2mm and 6mm.

[0045] These characteristics advantageously make it possible to give the insulation panel composite 1 a thermal conductivity X between 0.0010 W / (mK) and 0.0030 W / (mK).

[0046] Preferably, the vacuum insulation panel 2 has a thickness of between 18mm and 22mm while the covering 3 has a thickness of between 3mm and 5mm.

[0047] These characteristics advantageously make it possible to give the composite insulation panel 1 a thermal conductivity X of between 0.0015 W / (mK) and 0.0025 W / (mK).

[0048] In particular, on the one hand, the vacuum insulation panel 2 has a thickness of the order of 20 mm and, on the other hand, the coating 3 has a thickness of the order of 4 mm.

[0049] These characteristics advantageously make it possible to give the composite insulation panel 1 a thermal conductivity X which is of the order of 0.0020 W / (mK).

[0050] According to another characteristic, the coating 3 is glued onto the vacuum insulation panel 2

[0051] Yet another feature concerns the fact that the composite insulation panel 1 may comprise a covering element 4, on the one hand, which covers at least a portion of the covering 3 (more particularly at least a portion of the surface of this covering 3) and, on the other hand, which extends over at least a portion of the covering 3 (more particularly over at least a portion of the surface of this covering 3). Thus the covering 3 is interposed between the vacuum insulation panel 2 and the covering element 4.

[0052] In particular, the covering element 4, on the one hand, covers the entirety of the covering 3 (more particularly the entirety of the surface of this covering 3), on the other hand, extends over the entirety of the covering 3 (more particularly over the entirety of the surface of this covering 3).

[0053] This covering element 4 then comprises protective means which are configured to protect the covering 3 against mechanical actions (more particularly against scratches, impacts or the like). These protective means may be, at least in part, constituted by the material of this covering element 4.

[0054] Alternatively or (and preferably additionally), this covering element 4 has a particular color and / or has particular patterns and / or is transparent or translucent.

[0055] These characteristics advantageously make it possible to give the composite insulation device 1 a particular appearance.

[0056] According to another characteristic, the covering element 4, on the one hand, comprises (preferably, is constituted by) a film, a sheet or a plate, on the one hand, has a thickness between 0.5mm and 2mm and, on the other hand, is made of a polymer material (preferably PVC or resin).

[0057] Additionally, the coating 3 and / or the covering element 4 may incorporate carbon particles, more particularly carbon beads.

[0058] These carbon particles advantageously make it possible to adsorb odors, pollutants and contaminants, more particularly organic contaminants such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

[0059] According to another characteristic, the composite insulation panel 1 may comprise at least one edge 5, on the one hand, which extends from at least one lateral side (21; 21') of the vacuum insulation panel (2) and in the extension of said at least one lateral side (21; 21') of this vacuum insulation panel (2), on the other hand, which is made of an insulating material comprising an aerogel, and, on the other hand, which is configured to be cut.

[0060] In this regard, it will be observed that said insulating material is, then, at least in part (or even entirely) constituted by an aerogel, more particularly which comprises aerogel fibers.

[0061] The use of such an aerogel advantageously allows for smoother, simpler and more careful cutting.

[0062] Another characteristic consists in that the edge 5 has a thickness which is substantially equal to that of the vacuum insulation panel 1. Thus, this edge 5 has a thickness of between 15mm and 25mm, preferably of between 18mm and 22mm, in particular of the order of 20mm.

[0063] This border 5 then has a thermal conductivity X of between 0.0010 W / (mK) and 0.0030 W / (mK), preferably of between 0.0015 W / (mK) and 0.0025 W / (mK), in particular of the order of 0.0020 W / (mK).

[0064] It will be observed that the coating 3 mentioned above then covers at least a part (or even the entirety) of one 50 of the two parallel faces (50; 50') that such an edge 5 comprises ([Fig.3]).

[0065] According to another characteristic, the composite insulation panel 1 may comprise at least one vapor barrier 6 which covers at least a part (or even the entirety) of the large face 20' of the vacuum insulation panel 2 which is opposite the large face 20 of this vacuum insulation panel 2 of which at least a part is covered by the coating 3.

[0066] According to a particular embodiment, such a vapor barrier 6 can, further, cover at least a part of at least one of the lateral sides (21; 21') of the vacuum insulation panel 2.

[0067] In an embodiment where the composite insulation panel 1 comprises at least one border 5 ([Fig.4]), this composite insulation panel 1 can, further, comprise at least one vapor barrier 6' (more particularly another vapor barrier 6' than that 6 mentioned above) which covers at least part (or even all) of said at least one border 5.

[0068] Such a vapor barrier 6 then covers at least a part (or even the entirety) of the face 50' of the border 5 which is opposite the face 50 of the border 5 of which at least a part is covered by the coating 3.

[0069] Yet another characteristic concerns the fact that the composite insulation panel 1 has at least one information zone (7; 7') which includes information relating to the cuttable nature or not of the information zone (7; 7').

[0070] In this regard, it will be observed that it is, more particularly, said at least one vapor barrier (6; 6') mentioned above which has at least one informative zone (7; 7') which includes information relating to the cuttable nature or not of the informative zone (7; 7').

[0071] In particular, the vapor barrier 6 which covers at least a part (or even the entirety) of the large face 20' of the vacuum insulation panel 2 has at least one information zone 7 which includes information relating to the non-cuttable nature of the information zone 7 and, consequently, of the vacuum insulation panel 2 covered by this vapor barrier 6.

[0072] Similarly, the vapor barrier 6' which covers at least a part (or even the entirety) of the face 50' of the edge 5 has at least one information zone 7' which includes information relating to the cuttable nature of the information zone 7' and, consequently, of the edge 5 covered by this vapor barrier 6'.

[0073] The invention also relates to a composite insulation system which comprises, on the one hand, two composite insulation panels 1 which are juxtaposed and, on the other hand, mounting means which are configured to mount the two composite insulation panels 1 on a structural element of a construction, more particularly on a wall, in particular on an external wall (more specifically on the internal face of such an external wall).

[0074] Such a composite insulation system is characterized by the fact that, on the one hand, the two composite insulation panels 1 have at least some of the characteristics described above, on the other hand, the mounting means comprise a support (more particularly in the form of a bar or the like) which is configured to be made fixedly integral with the structural element as well as fixing means (in particular in the form of hooks which equip the support, more particularly the bar) which are configured to fix the two composite insulation panels 1 on said support and, on the other hand again, the insulation system comprises means for concealing these mounting means.

[0075] Such mounting means are then interposed between the two panels. composite insulation 1.

[0076] As regards the concealment means, these may consist of a rim that the composite insulation panel 1 comprises (more particularly the vacuum insulation panel 2 or the covering 3 that this composite insulation panel 1 comprises) and at the rear of which the mounting means are concealed. Alternatively, such concealment means may take the form of an element (for example a bar or a rod) positioned at the junction of the two composite insulation panels 1 and, as the case may be, above or between these two composite insulation panels 1.

[0077] Another characteristic concerns the fact that the composite insulation system may, furthermore, comprise finishing means which are configured to equip at least one composite insulation panel 1 as mentioned above, in the lower part, in the upper part or laterally.

[0078] Such finishing means may then constitute at least in part a low plinth, a high plinth or a side border that such a composite insulation system comprises.

[0079] Such finishing means may take the form of at least one bar.

[0080] Such finishing means may be made of aluminum and / or be treated with a insulating paint, particularly based on aerogel. These characteristics make it possible to avoid creating a thermal bridge between a composite insulation panel 1 and, as the case may be, the floor, the ceiling or a corner of a structural element.

[0081] Finally, the present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a composite insulation panel 1 which has at least some of the characteristics described above.

[0082] This manufacturing method comprises, on the one hand, a step of producing a mixture which contains at least jute (more particularly jute fibers) and corn (more particularly corn fibers), on the other hand, a step of covering at least a part (more particularly the entirety) of one 20 of the two large parallel faces (20; 20') of a vacuum insulation panel 2 with the mixture, and on the other hand, a step of hardening the mixture.

[0083] According to a particular embodiment, the step of producing the mixture consists of producing a mixture which contains at least jute (more particularly jute fibers), corn (more particularly corn fibers) and a binder (more particularly water and / or a resin),

[0084] In this case, the hardening step consists of removing at least part of the binder (by extraction or by evaporation, in particular by heating) or allowing at least part of the binder to harden or causing at least part of the binder to harden (in particular by heating, by exposure to appropriate light or otherwise).
