Description

Title of the invention: Container for fluid or pasty substance with lockable cap

[0001] The present invention relates to the general technical field of containers for fluid or pasty substances, in particular flasks, bottles and other vials or flasks intended for example to contain liquids, such as perfume or drinks (champagne, spirits, etc.).

[0002] The present invention relates more specifically to a container for a fluid or pasty substance comprising a receptacle with a dispensing opening, a cap, as well as at least first and second complementary attachment elements which are secured respectively to the receptacle and the cap, said container being designed to evolve between on the one hand a closed configuration, in which the cap covers the dispensing opening while said first and second complementary attachment elements interact with each other to removably attach the cap to the receptacle, and on the other hand an open configuration, in which the cap is separated from the receptacle so that said first and second complementary attachment elements do not interact with each other.

[0003] Perfume bottles are generally in the form of a container with a neck fitted with a spraying device that allows a mist of perfumed liquid to be sprayed in response to manual pressure on a push button. It is known to equip these bottles with a cap that covers the neck of the bottle as well as the spraying device with which the latter is fitted. This removable cap fulfills several practical and aesthetic functions. Firstly, the cap protects the spraying device, by preventing it from being triggered accidentally, in particular when the bottle is being transported, for example in a toiletry bag or a handbag. The cap also constitutes an additional safety element to prevent or contain possible leaks of perfume during transport. The cap also helps to preserve the quality of the fragrance, by helping to limit the evaporation of the perfume.

[0004] Finally, the stopper also plays a decorative role, as it complements the overall aesthetics of the perfume bottle, and thus contributes significantly to the visual appearance of the container.

[0005] It is particularly known to use magnetic stoppers, which cooperate by magnetic attraction with the neck of the bottle, to facilitate the positioning of the stopper and keep it in position. Such a design is generally satisfactory, but does not guarantee that the stopper will be held in place under all conditions. of use. In particular, when carried in a toiletry bag or handbag, the bottle may be subject to various mechanical stresses that may cause the cap to unintentionally separate from the bottle, despite the aforementioned magnetic attraction, which is relatively weak in order to facilitate uncorking the bottle. Such untimely separation of the cap and the bottle can of course prove very problematic, since in this case the cap is no longer able to play the safety and protection role mentioned above that is assigned to it.

[0006] The objects assigned to the invention therefore aim to remedy the various aforementioned drawbacks and to propose a new container for a fluid or pasty substance whose design provides great safety of use, by making it possible to limit the risk of untimely unblocking, while allowing particularly easy and intuitive use on a daily basis, and whose overall aesthetics are preserved.

[0007] Another object of the invention is to propose a new container for a fluid or pasty substance whose manufacturing cost is controlled.

[0013] Another object assigned to the invention aims to propose a new container for a fluid or pasty substance whose design allows its adaptation to multiple uses easily and quickly, and at lower cost.

[0014] The objects assigned to the invention are achieved by a container for a fluid or pasty substance comprising a receptacle with a dispensing opening, a cap, as well as at least first and second complementary attachment elements which are secured respectively to the receptacle and the cap, said container being designed to evolve between on the one hand a closed configuration, in which the cap covers the dispensing opening while said first and second complementary attachment elements interact with each other to removably attach the cap to the receptacle, and on the other hand an open configuration, in which the cap is separated from the receptacle so that said first and second complementary fastening elements do not interact with each other, said container being characterized in that it further comprises at least first and second complementary locking elements which are secured respectively to the container and to the cap, said second locking element being mounted movably relative to the second fastening element to be able to move, when the container is in the closed configuration, between on the one hand a locking position, in which the second locking element interacts with the first locking element to lock the container in its closed configuration, and on the other hand an unlocking position, in which the second locking element does not interact with the first locking element, to allow the container to move from the closed configuration to the open configuration.

[0015] Other features and advantages of the invention will appear and emerge in more detail on reading the description given below, with reference to the appended drawings, given solely as illustrative and non-limiting examples, in which:

[0016] [Fig-1] illustrates, in a schematic perspective view, a detail of the embodiment of a container in accordance with the invention, formed in this case by a perfume spray bottle, which is in an open configuration, with its stopper separate from the container.

[0017] [Fig.2] illustrates, according to a schematic cross-sectional view, the detail of the embodiment of [Fig.l], with the container which is this time in the closed configuration, with the cap which covers the dispensing opening and which is held in position by mutual interaction of the first and second complementary attachment elements, the second locking element being in the unlocked position.

[0018] [Fig.3] illustrates, in a schematic cross-sectional view, the detail of the embodiment of [Fig.2], with the container still in the closed configuration, while the second locking element is this time in the locking position to prevent the cap from being separated from the container.

[0019] The invention relates to a container 1 for a fluid or pasty substance. The container 1 is advantageously designed to be held in, and / or in, the hand.

[0020] Said fluid substance may for example be in a liquid form, or in a powdery solid form, and in all cases advantageously has a flow capacity. When it is in a pasty form, said substance intended to be contained in the container 1 may for example be in the form of a more or less soft solid (formed for example from a dispersion of particles in a waxy matrix), possibly in the form of a solid stick (lipstick type), or on the contrary be in the form of a viscous or very viscous substance, with an existing but reduced flow capacity (case of a cream for example).

[0021] The container 1 comprises more precisely, as illustrated in the figures, a receptacle 2 which is intended to contain said fluid or pasty substance. The container 2 can be made of any suitable material, for example plastic or glass. The container 2 advantageously includes a bottom (not shown in the figures) which is for example flat or concave, and is designed to rest stably on a horizontal plane. The container 2 further advantageously comprises a side wall 2A which rises in line with and at the periphery of the bottom, and is extended, opposite the bottom, by an upper wall 2B which extends in line with the bottom and advantageously forms a neck 20B whose size and shape vary depending on the type of the container 2 and its use. The upper wall 2B advantageously forms a shoulder 21B, which extends around the neck 20B, at the start of the latter. The neck 20B thus rises parallel to a first axis X-X', from the shoulder 21B, while the latter defines a flat outer surface which is inscribed in a plane substantially perpendicular to the first axis X-X', as illustrated in the figures. The container 2 further comprises a dispensing opening 2C which allows the interior of the container 2 to communicate with the exterior, to dispense the fluid or pasty substance contained in the container 2. The dispensing opening 2C is for example formed through the upper wall 2B, and is advantageously delimited by the neck 20B. Advantageously, the container 2 is a container whose neck 20B is narrow, so that it is preferably in the form of a flask, a bottle or a flask for example. Preferably, the container 2 is a bottle designed to contain a liquid, powdery or pasty cosmetic product, for example a perfume, a cream, a milk, an oil or a powder. The invention is however absolutely not limited to these particular embodiments, and in particular is not limited to a perfume bottle as illustrated in figures 1 to 3. Alternatively, it is for example entirely conceivable that the container 2 is a bottle intended to contain a drink, or a pot intended to contain a cream or a pasty foodstuff, or even a case intended to contain a lipstick, without departing from the scope of the invention.

[0022] Preferably, and as illustrated in the figures, the container 2 includes a device 3 for spraying said fluid or pasty substance (which in this case is preferably liquid), which is mounted in said dispensing opening 2C. The spraying device 3 includes for example a pumping means, connected to a dip tube (not illustrated) which extends substantially over the entire (or almost the entire) height of the container 2, as well as an atomizing means which is connected to the pumping means and is provided with a spray nozzle 30, through which an aerosol (spray), i.e. a mist of droplets, is intended to be emitted. The spraying device 3 further comprises a manual control member 31 of the spraying, which is conventionally in the form of a push button mounted in translation relative to the container 2, and to the neck 20B, along the first axis X-X'. In the preferred embodiment illustrated in the figures, the spraying device 3 comprises a spray head, which includes the pumping means as well as the atomizing means with its spray nozzle 30, and the manual control member 31 of the spraying. Said spray head is received in the dispensing opening 2C delimited by the neck 20B, which forms a neck to which said head is fixed.

[0023] The container 1 further comprises a cap 4 which is advantageously distinct and independent from the container 2, so that the cap 4 can be freely attached to the container 2, and separated from the latter. There is therefore advantageously no permanent mechanical connection between the cap 4 and the container 2. As illustrated in the figures, the cap 4 is intended to be attached to the container 2, to cover the dispensing opening 2C, in order to block access to the latter and / or to the spraying device 3 which is advantageously mounted in the dispensing opening 2C. The cap 4 thus forms an autonomous unit, which can be manipulated by the user to access the dispensing opening 2C and / or the spraying device 3, or on the contrary to block access to the dispensing opening 2C and to the spraying device 3 advantageously mounted in the latter.

[0024] The container 1 comprises, as illustrated in the figures, at least one first attachment element 5 which is integral with the container 2, that is to say which is carried by the latter, to which it is advantageously permanently fixed. The container 1 also comprises a second attachment element 6 which is in turn integral with the cap 4, that is to say that the cap 4 carries the second attachment element 6, the latter therefore forming part of the cap 4. The first and second attachment elements 5, 6 are complementary, that is to say that they are designed to complement each other, for example by mechanical, magnetic or other interaction, in order to attach to each other, reversibly. The container 1 is thus designed to evolve between: - on the one hand a closed configuration (illustrated in figures 2 and 3), in which the cap 4 covers the dispensing opening 2C, and advantageously the neck 20B as well as the spraying device 3 preferably mounted in the dispensing opening 2C, while said first and second complementary attachment elements 5, 6 interact with each other to removably attach the cap 4 to the container 2, - and on the other hand an open configuration (illustrated by [Fig.l]), in which the cap 4 is separated from the container 2, that is to say it is detached and distant from the container 2, so that said first and second complementary attachment elements 5, 6 do not interact with each other.

[0025] Thus, in the closed configuration, the first and second attachment elements 5, 6 exert a reciprocal influence on each other, which attaches them to each other reversibly, and therefore also reversibly attaches the container 2 and the stopper 4 to which they are respectively secured.

[0026] For example, and in accordance with the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the first and second attachment elements 5, 6 are designed to be attached to each other by magnetic attraction, in said closed configuration, to removably attach the cap 4 to the container 2. In this preferred embodiment, when the cap 4 is sufficiently close to the container 2, at the dispensing opening 2C, the first and second attachment elements 5, 6 are magnetically attracted to each other until they come to rest against each other and are thus held in position, attached to each other by magnetic interaction, which allows the cap 4 to be held in a closed position illustrated in figures 2 and 3.To open the container 2, a user simply has to exert sufficient manual force on the cap 4 to detach it from the container 2, against the magnetic attraction force that kept the cap 4 attached to the container 2. The invention is however not limited to the implementation of first and second attachment elements 5, 6 designed to be attached to each other by magnetic attraction. It is for example entirely conceivable that the first and second attachment elements 5, 6 interact not magnetically, but mechanically with each other, to removably attach the cap 4 to the container 2. In this alternative embodiment, not illustrated, the first and second attachment elements 5, 6 are for example designed to interact by reversible elastic interlocking (clipping), in order to removably attach the cap 4 to the container 2.Such a reversible elastic interlocking implies for example that at least one of said first and second attachment elements 5, 6 deforms elastically upon interlocking with the other of said first and second attachment elements 5, 6. The use of first and second attachment elements 5, 6 designed to be attached to each other by magnetic attraction is however preferred, since it allows a much more intuitive and ergonomic operation, with minimal effort to attach the cap 4 to the container 2 and thus achieve the closed configuration. The use of such a design also makes it possible to reduce the risks of breakage or damage to the first and second attachment elements 5, 6 compared to a design based on a purely mechanical interaction.

[0027] According to the invention, the container 1 further comprises at least one first locking element 7 which is integral with the container 2, as well as at least one second locking element 8 which is integral with the cap 4, which means that the first locking element 7 is carried by the container 2, just like the first attachment element 5, while the second locking element 8 is to it carried by the cap 4, like the second attachment element 6. Preferably, the first locking element 7 is thus attached to the container 2 and fixed to the latter permanently, while the second locking element 8 is itself embedded by the cap 4 to which it is permanently fixed to form with the cap 4 a unitary subassembly. The first and second elements 7, 8 are complementary, that is to say that they are designed to complement each other, for example by mechanical interaction, in order to attach to each other, reversibly. According to the invention, the second locking element 8 is mounted movably relative to the second attachment element 6, to be able to move, when the container 1 is in the closed configuration, between: - on the one hand a locking position (illustrated in [Fig.3]), in which the second locking element 8 interacts with the first locking element 7 to lock the container 1 in its closed configuration (in which the cap 4 covers the dispensing opening 2C and is attached to the container 2 by interaction of the first and second attachment elements 5, 6), - and on the other hand an unlocking position (illustrated in [Fig.2]), in which the second locking element 8 does not interact with the first locking element 7, which allows the container 1 to pass from the closed configuration to the open configuration, for example by simply exerting a manual force to separate the cap 4 and the container 2.

[0028] Thus, the container 1 is designed so that the second locking element can, in the closed configuration, reach a locking position from an initial unlocking position, to block the container 1 in the closed configuration, that is to say prevent the separation of the cap 4 and the container 2, even if a separation force greater than the attachment force (magnetic attraction force for example) which attaches the first and second attachment elements 5, 6 together is manually exerted. In other words, thanks to the design described in the above, the container 1 can be locked in its closed configuration (as illustrated by [Fig. 3]), thus preventing any untimely and involuntary separation of the container 2 and the cap 4.It is thus sufficient to bring the cap 4 onto the container 2 to attach it initially to the container 2, thanks to the mutual cooperation of the first and second attachment elements 5, 6, then to move a part of the cap 4, which carries the second locking element 8, relative to the rest of the cap 4 which carries the second attachment element 6, in order to bring the second locking element 8 into locking interaction with the first locking element 7 carried by the container 2 and secured to the latter.

[0029] Preferably, the transition from one of said closed and open configurations to the other is carried out by manually moving the stopper 4 relative to the container 2 according to a first type of movement, while the transition from one of said locking and unlocking positions to the other is carried out by manually moving the second locking element 8 relative to the second attachment element 6 according to a second type of movement, which is different from said first type of movement. Thanks to this preferred characteristic, the gesture that it is necessary to implement to lock or unlock the container 1 in the closed configuration is different from that which must be implemented to separate the cap 4 from the container 2 from the open configuration. This makes it possible to provide a particularly simple, intuitive and ergonomic gesture for the transition from the closed configuration to the open configuration and vice versa, and a more complex gesture for locking / unlocking the container 1 in the closed configuration. The daily use of the container 1 is thus facilitated, because the capping / uncapping can be carried out very easily, while allowing, by means of a slightly more complex gesture (to avoid untimely unlocking), to secure the capping of the container 2 when the container 1 is transported, in a toiletry bag or a handbag for example. Preferably, said first type of movement includes a translational movement along the first axis X-X', while said second type of movement includes a helical movement along said first axis X-X'.This means, in this preferred embodiment, that the cap is designed to be moved manually, according to a rectilinear translational movement parallel to the first axis X-X', to reach the closed configuration from the open configuration or to reach the open configuration from the closed configuration, and that once the closed configuration is reached, the locking of the container 1 in the closed configuration is advantageously carried out by a helical movement of the second element 8 along the first axis X-X', that is to say a screwing (locking) or unscrewing (unlocking) movement of the portion of the cap 4 which carries the second locking element 8. Thus, in a particularly advantageous manner, the second locking element 8 is designed to interact by screwing with the first locking element 7, to lock the container 1 in the attached configuration. For this purpose, the first and second locking elements 7, 8 are respectively provided with complementary threads which allow a screwed assembly of the first and second locking elements 7, 8 together, this screwed assembly being reversible, so that the first and second locking elements 7, 8 can be separated by unscrewing. Such an embodiment proves to be extremely practical, compact and robust. It also allows a particularly intuitive and ergonomic use.

[0030] Advantageously, the cap 4 comprises a manual gripping conformation 40, which carries the second locking element 8. The conformation of manual gripping conformation 40 is designed to be grasped manually, for example between the thumb and one or two other fingers, in order to impart to it an appropriate movement with a view, for example, to attaching the cap 4 to the container 2, or on the contrary to detaching it from the container 2, or even to locking the cap 4 to the container 2. The manual gripping conformation 40 is for example in the form of a substantially cylindrical wall, of sufficient size to allow it to be manually grasped and manipulated for the aforementioned purposes. The manual gripping conformation 40 is advantageously manually movable to move the container 1 from one of said closed and open configurations to the other. In other words, the user can manually grasp the cap 4 by means of the manual gripping conformation 40 which is part of the cap 4, to separate the latter from the container 2, or on the contrary to bring the cap 4 back onto the container 2, so that the cap 4 covers the dispensing opening 2C and is attached by cooperation of the first and second attachment elements 5, 6 to the container 2, said cooperation being for example a magnetic attraction as mentioned previously. Furthermore, the manual gripping conformation 40 is advantageously manually movable to move the second locking element 8 from one of said locking and unlocking positions to the other. In other words, it is also by means of the manual gripping conformation 40 that the user can preferentially impart to the second locking element 8 an appropriate movement (for example a helical movement as mentioned previously) to attach the second locking element 8 to the first locking element 7 carried by the container 2, or on the contrary to detach them from each other.

[0031] According to a particularly preferred embodiment, which is illustrated in the figures, the cap 4 comprises an internal body 4A provided with a lower collar 40A which carries, or forms, the second attachment element 8. Preferably, the internal body 4A includes a main side wall 41A which is preferably cylindrical and has a shape of revolution of axis X-X'. Said main side wall 41A extends axially, parallel to the first axis XX' (when the cap 4 is attached to the container 2), between an upper end which is advantageously closed by a closing wall preferably provided with an aeration vent 400, and a free, open lower end, which is extended by a thinned cylindrical portion 42A terminated by the lower collar 40A.As illustrated in the figures, the outer diameter of the lower collar 40A is smaller than the outer diameter of the main side wall 41A, so that the main side wall 41A forms a shoulder which projects radially relative to the fictitious cylinder in which the lower collar 40A is inscribed. Said lower collar 40A is intended, . when the cap 4 covers the dispensing opening 2C in the closed configuration, to surround the dispensing opening 2C while abutting against the container 2 and / or the first attachment element 5, so as to allow said first and second complementary attachment elements 5, 6 to interact with each other to removably attach the cap 4 to the container 2. Advantageously, in this preferred embodiment, the cap 4 also comprises an external cap 4B which covers the internal body 4A while being connected to the latter by a permanent mechanical connection allowing at least one degree of freedom, to allow the passage from one of said locking and unlocking positions to the other. Advantageously, the external cap 4B has a shape of revolution of axis X-X'.In the example illustrated in the figures, the outer cap 4B advantageously comprises a cylindrical side wall 40B which extends around the main side wall 41A of the inner body 4A, being mounted in a substantially adjusted manner on and against the latter to advantageously allow the inner body 4A to slide against and along the inner face of the cylindrical side wall 40B, while being able to rotate relative to the outer cap 4B, along the first axis X-X'. The outer cap 4B further advantageously comprises an upper closing wall 40C which closes the cylindrical side wall 40B at its upper end, while the opposite lower end remains free. Advantageously, the outer cap 4B forms the manual gripping conformation 40, that is to say that the cylindrical side wall 40B is intended in this case to be grasped and manipulated by hand, for example between the thumb and at least one other finger. The cylindrical side wall 40B advantageously forms, in its lower part, a shoulder which acts as a stop for the internal body 4A, so that the latter can slide between two extreme positions relative to the external cap 4B. Said extreme positions correspond for example respectively to the abutment of the internal body 4A against the internal face of the closing wall 40C on the one hand, and to the abutment of the internal body 4A against the shoulder formed by the cylindrical side wall 40B, in the lower part thereof, on the other hand.

[0032] In the preferred embodiment illustrated in the figures, the external cap 4B, which covers and surrounds the internal body 4A as illustrated, advantageously has a free lower edge (corresponding in this case to the free lower edge of the cylindrical side wall 40B) which carries or forms the second locking element 8, which is for example in the form of an internal thread.

[0033] Advantageously, and as illustrated in the figures, the container 4 comprises a ring 9 which is advantageously permanently secured to the container 4, that is to say that it is preferably irreversibly fixed to the container 4 to form a unitary subassembly with the latter. Advantageously, the ring 9 surrounds the dispensing opening 2C, preferably in a fitted manner. The ring 9 is preferably arranged at the foot of the neck 20B, so as to rest on and against the shoulder 21B. Advantageously, the ring 9 carries or forms the first attachment element 5 as well as the first locking element 7. For example, one of said ring 9 and lower collar 40A includes at least one permanent magnet 10 forming one of said first and second attachment elements 5, 6. Preferably, the other of said ring 9 and lower collar 40A includes at least one ferromagnetic portion 11 which forms the other of said first and second attachment elements 5, 6. In the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the ring 9 includes said permanent magnet 10, which in this case forms the first attachment element 5. Said permanent magnet 10 has for example a cylindrical stud shape, and it is for example embedded in a washer (made of plastic or metal) which forms the ring 9.The permanent magnet 10 and the ferromagnetic portion 11 are thus intended, when they are sufficiently close to each other, to attract each other by magnetic attraction. In the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the lower collar 40A directly forms the ferromagnetic portion 11, and it is for example made for this purpose of a ferromagnetic material such as iron or nickel. In this embodiment, said ferromagnetic portion 11 forms the second attachment element 6, integral with the cap 4. In the preferred embodiment illustrated in the figures, the ring 9 advantageously has a peripheral lateral edge provided with an external thread 90 which forms the first locking element 7, while the free lower edge of the external cap 4B is advantageously provided with an internal thread 91 which forms the second locking element 8.The internal thread 91 is thus intended to cooperate by screwing / unscrewing with the external thread 90, to ensure the passage from the unlocking position to the locking position and vice versa.

[0034] In this preferred embodiment, the permanent mechanical connection which connects the external cap 4B to the internal body 4A is a sliding pivot connection, that is to say that the internal body 4A can both slide and rotate along the first axis X-X', relative to the external cap 4B.

[0035] Advantageously, when the cap 4 is held in a straight vertical position and is separated from the container 2, the internal body 4A naturally comes into abutment, under the effect of gravity, against the shoulder formed in the lower part of the cylindrical lateral wall 40B of the external cap 4B, as illustrated in [Fig.l]. In this configuration, the lower collar 40A preferably remains substantially inside the internal volume delimited by the cylindrical lateral wall 40B, that is to say that it does not protrude axially beyond the lower edge of said cylindrical lateral wall 40B. This allows the cap 4 to permanently retain an identical external appearance, the external cap 4B being dimensioned to encompass in a manner permanently the internal body 4A, thus concealing it from view. Preferably, however, the lower collar 40A projects very slightly axially from the external cap 4B to come into contact with the permanent magnet 10 before the internal thread 91 engages the external thread 90, which thus ensures an effective magnetic attachment, which is not interfered with by the mechanical interaction between the external thread 90 and the internal thread 91.

[0036] The operation of the container 1 illustrated in the figures is described in the following.

[0037] In everyday use, the cap 4 is simply attached to the container 2, so as to be attached to the latter by magnetic interaction of the first and second attachment elements 5, 6, as illustrated in [Fig. 2]. The user can thus freely detach the cap 4 from the container 2, by exerting a manual separation force sufficient to overcome the magnetic attraction force generated between the first and second attachment elements 5, 6. Similarly, the cap 4 can be freely attached to the container 2, so as to cover the neck 20B and the spraying device 3 mounted in the neck 20B, the magnetic attraction force between the first and second attachment elements 5, 6 ensuring adequate positioning and holding of the cap 4 in position relative to the container 2.

[0038] The user thus benefits, during daily sedentary use, where the container 1 remains for example stored on a shelf outside of periods of use, from a container 1 which is particularly simple to use, with a classic overall aesthetic.

[0039] If the user intends to transport the container 1 (for example in a clothing pocket, inside a handbag or in a toiletry bag), he can first, while the container 1 is in the closed configuration illustrated in [Fig. 2], impart to the external cap 4B a downward screwing movement, along the first axis X-X', so as to screw the external cap 4B onto the ring 9, by interaction of the external 90 and internal 91 threads, until reaching a final tight position illustrated in [Fig. 3]. In the configuration of [Fig. 3], the cap 4 can no longer be freely separated from the container 2 by simply exerting a manual translational separation force. This prevents any untimely unclogging of the container 2, which would expose the spraying device 3 to possible involuntary pressure forces. It is in fact necessary, to uncork the container 2, to first unscrew the external cap 4B in order to find the configuration of [Fig.2], in which the cap 4 is simply attached to the container 2 by magnetic interaction of the first and second attachment elements 5, 6. It is then possible to simply detach the cap 4 from the container 2 by exerting a simple manual separation effort.
