Abstract
Optomechanical Device This description relates to an optomechanical device (300). A first element (304A) and a second element (302) of the device are mechanically movable relative to each other. A waveguide (308) of the device includes a portion (310) fixed to one of the first and second elements, and an optical or optomechanical resonator (306) of the device is fixed to the other of the first and second elements. An actuator (324) of the device is configured to change the relative position of the first and second elements with respect to each other between a first position where the resonator (306) is optically coupled to the portion (310) of the waveguide (308) and a second position where the resonator (306) is optically decoupled from the portion (310) of the waveguide (308).
