Abstract
The invention relates to a hinge (24) for the front hood (22) of a motor vehicle with a structure; the hinge comprising: a plate (30) intended to be fixed to the structure of the motor vehicle; a movable part (32) intended to be fixed to the front hood (22) of the motor vehicle and adapted to pivot relative to the plate about a first pivot axis (34), the movable part being movable relative to the plate between at least a first position and a second position. The hinge (24) further comprises a locking device (26) adapted to lock the movable part relative to the plate (30) in the first position, and adapted to release the movable part so as to move the movable part (32) from the first position to the second position.
