Description

Title of the invention: Fixing base for a swiveling and sliding seat.

[0001] The technical field relates to the fixing bases of a motor vehicle seat allowing movement of the seat fixed on the fixing base, assemblies comprising such a fixing base and a seat fixed on the base and motor vehicles having such equipment and / or interior elements.

[0002] Car manufacturers are particularly attentive to offering their customers comfortable vehicles for their passengers. Ease of access to the vehicle is one of the comfort criteria.

[0003] The issue of accessibility is particularly important for people with reduced mobility: the proposed solutions use mechanisms to remove the seat from the vehicle and possibly lower it outside the vehicle in order to facilitate the handling of a wheelchair, for example.

[0004] In some mid-drive vehicles, the driver's seat is positioned on the vehicle's longitudinal centerline, making access to the seat particularly difficult. However, existing solutions used for persons with reduced mobility are unsuitable for mid-drive vehicles, since it is not necessary to remove the seat from the passenger compartment.

[0005] Thus, there is a need for a solution to facilitate access to the seat of a centrally driven vehicle.

[0006] The present invention aims to overcome the problems described above. In this technical context, one objective of the present invention is to provide a mounting base for fixing and moving a seat within the passenger compartment of a vehicle, particularly one with a central driving position.

[0007] To this end, the present invention relates to a seat fixing base on the floor of a motor vehicle, the base being designed to be fixed to the floor of a vehicle and to allow the seat to be fixed to the base, the base comprising first means of movement designed to allow a translation of the seat fixed to the base in a predefined direction, chosen to correspond to a direction parallel to the floor when the base is fixed to the floor, between a driving position and a side exit position, the base further comprising second means of movement designed to allow a rotational movement of the seat fixed to the base around an axis of rotation corresponding to an axis perpendicular to the floor, when the base is fixed to the floor.

[0008] The invention also relates to an assembly comprising a fixing base according to the invention and a motor vehicle seat fixed to the base, the first and second means of movement being capable of imparting to the seat respectively a translation and a rotation.

[0009] The invention finally relates to a motor vehicle comprising at least one assembly according to the invention secured to the floor of the vehicle.

[0010] Thus, the mounting base according to the invention allows for the formation of an assembly according to the invention by attaching a seat to it. Thanks to the first means of movement, the seat can be moved by translation within the vehicle's passenger compartment in a predefined direction corresponding to the vehicle's transverse axis. This allows the seat to be brought closer to the edge of the passenger compartment and for an occupant to place their foot outside the vehicle. The second means of movement improves access to the vehicle by allowing the seat to be rotated so that it can be oriented in a direction perpendicular to the driving position. Thus, the mounting base makes it possible to move a seat by translation and rotation within a motor vehicle's passenger compartment to facilitate access to it.

[0011] According to one embodiment, the fixing base includes locking means allowing the first and / or second means of movement to be locked.

[0012] Advantageously, the locking means comprise at least one locking pin mounted movable between a locking position, in which each pin is inserted into a locking orifice of the base, and an unlocking position, in which each pin is disengaged from its locking orifice, each locking pin being held in its locking position by a calibrated spring.

[0013] According to one possibility of the fixing base, the first means of movement comprise at least one slide.

[0014] Advantageously, each slide is a telescopic slide, preferably motorized.

[0015] According to one embodiment, the fixing base comprises a first frame, including the first means of movement and designed to be fixed to the floor, the base comprising a second frame mounted movably in rotation on the first frame, the second frame being designed to accommodate the seat.

[0016] Advantageously, the first and second frames are joined together by the engagement of a tenon, protruding from one of the first and second frames, in a groove made in the other of the first and second frames.

[0017] Advantageously, the second means of movement comprise a track integral with one of the first and second frames, the second means of movement further comprising a plurality of rolling carriages capable of move on the rolling path and secure to the other of the first and second frames.

[0018] The invention will be better understood upon reading the following detailed description, given solely by way of non-limiting example and made with reference to the accompanying drawings in which:

[0019] [Fig-1] [Fig.1] represents a perspective view of a fixing base according to the invention;

[0020] [Fig.2] [Fig.2] represents an exploded view of the base of [Fig.1] showing the second means of transport;

[0021] [Fig.3] [Fig.3] represents a perspective view of an assembly according to the invention showing a seat fixed on the base of the [Fig.1] in driving position;

[0022] [Fig.4] [Fig.4] represents a drawing plate showing the movements of the seat from [Fig.3] to a lateral exit position;

[0023] [Fig. 5] [Fig. 5] shows a detailed view of the base locking means fixing of the [Fig.l];

[0024] In these figures, the same references are used to designate the same elements.

[0025] A mounting base 1 according to the invention, illustrated in Figures 1 and 2, is designed to allow the attachment and movement of a seat 2 on the floor of a motor vehicle, not shown. The base 1 and a seat attached to the mounting base 1 form an assembly 3 according to the invention. The mounting base 1 is thus designed to allow, in particular, translation and rotation of the seat 2, as illustrated in [Fig. 4], to move the seat 2 between a driving position, shown in [Fig. 3], and a lateral exit position, illustrated on the right side of [Fig. 3]. The base 1 is particularly suited to a motor vehicle with a driving position in which the seat is centered on a longitudinal median axis of the vehicle according to the invention. In the lateral exit position, the seat 2 is moved to one side of the vehicle to facilitate the installation of a passenger or the driver in the seat 2.

[0026] The base 1 is therefore designed to be secured to the floor of the vehicle and to allow the seat 2 to be fixed to the base 1.

[0027] The mounting base 1 includes first means 4 for movement designed to allow translation of the seat 2, fixed to the base 1, along a predefined direction, indicated by the right arrow in [Fig. 4], the predefined direction being chosen to correspond to a direction parallel to the floor when the base 1 is fixed to the floor. The first means 4 for movement thus allow the seat 2 to be moved between the driving position and the lateral exit position.

[0028] The base 1 further comprises second means 5 for movement designed to allow rotation of the seat 2, fixed on the base 1, around an axis of The rear rotation, illustrated in [Fig. 4], corresponds to an axis perpendicular to the floor when the base 1 is fixed to the floor. The second means 5 of movement are, for example, designed to allow a 90° rotation to orient the seat 2 towards the outside of the vehicle. Advantageously, a 180° rotation also allows the seat 2 to be oriented towards the rear of the vehicle when the latter is not in a driving position. Advantageously, the second means 5 of movement are designed to allow rotation of the seat 2 by successive notches, for example, 90° notches.

[0029] As illustrated in [Fig. 2], the mounting base 1 comprises, for example, a first frame 6, including the first means 4 for movement and designed to be fixed to the floor. In the example shown in the figures, the first frame 6 has a substantially parallelepiped shape. The mounting base 1 according to the invention then comprises a second frame 7 mounted for rotation about the axis of rotation AR on the first frame 6. The second frame 7 is designed to accommodate the attachment of the seat 2. The second frame 7 also has a parallelepiped shape in the example described.

[0030] In the example illustrated in [Fig. 2], the first 6 and second 7 frames are joined together by the engagement of a tenon 8, projecting from one 7 of the first 6 and second 7 frames, in a groove 9 formed in the other 6 of the first 6 and second 7 frames. To allow assembly, the groove 9 is discontinuous, and two insertable forms 10 in the first frame 6 ensure the continuity of the groove 9.

[0031] As illustrated in [Fig. 2], the second means 5 for movement comprise a track 11, fixed to one 6 of the first 6 and second 7 frames. The track 11 has a general ring shape. The second means 5 for movement further comprise a plurality of rolling carriages 12 designed to move on the track 11 and fixed to the other 7 of the first 6 and second 7 frames, possibly via the seat 2.

[0032] As illustrated in figures 1 to 4, the first means 4 of movement comprise at least one slide 13 disposed in the first frame 6. Advantageously, the slide 13 is telescopic and motorized.

[0033] In an embodiment not illustrated in the figures, the base 1 has two slides 13 allowing movement of the seat 2 in two distinct predefined directions to allow, for example, two lateral exit positions to the assembly 3.

[0034] Furthermore, as illustrated in [Fig. 2] and [Fig. 5], the mounting base 1 also includes locking means 14 for locking the first 4 and / or second 5 movement means. In the example illustrated in [Fig. 5], the locking means 14 include at least one movable locking pin 15 between a locking position, in which each shaft 15 is inserted into a locking hole 16 in the base 1, and an unlocking position, in which each shaft 15 is disengaged from its locking hole 16. In the example shown in [Fig. 5], the locking means 14 comprise two shafts 15 connected by a handle 17. Finally, each locking shaft 15 is held in its locked position by a calibrated spring 18. In the example shown in the figures, the locking means 14 allow the second means 5 for movement to be locked. Nuts 19 screwed onto each shaft 15 allow, for example, the tension of each spring 18 to be adjusted.

[0035] Thus, in the assembly 3 according to the invention, the first means 4 and second means 5 of displacement allow the seat 2 to be translated and rotated respectively. The seat 2 is fixed, for example, by screwing it in using the screw holes 20. For example, the screw holes 20 allow the screws for fixing the seat 2 to be screwed into the carriages 12.

[0036] Thus, the mounting base 1 according to the invention allows for the formation of an assembly 3 according to the invention by attaching a conventional seat 2 to it. Thanks to the first means 4 for movement, the seat 2 can be moved by translation within the vehicle's passenger compartment in a predefined direction, corresponding to the vehicle's transverse axis. This allows the seat 2 to be brought closer to the edge of the passenger compartment and for an occupant of seat 2 to place their foot outside the vehicle. The second means 5 for movement improve access to the vehicle by allowing the seat 2 to be rotated so that it is oriented in a direction perpendicular to the driving position. Thus, the mounting base 1 makes it possible to move a seat 2 by translation and rotation within a motor vehicle's passenger compartment to facilitate access to it.

[0037] The invention is not limited to the embodiment of the fixing base described above, only by way of example, but other embodiments can be designed by a person skilled in the art without departing from the scope and extent of the present invention.
