Cyclic gravity hydroelectric installation

Abstract

The invention relates to a hydroelectric installation (1) comprising at least one series of at least one pair of gravity modules (2) connected to one or more fluid supply sources (3), the direction of the flow towards one or the other of the gravity modules being controlled by a multiport valve (9). Each gravity module is composed of: A tank (4) and a piston (5) movable vertically within said tank (4). A piston (5) capture system (8) allowing its delayed fall during the emptying phase. A transmission system (7) connected to a generator (6) converting the mechanical energy of the falling piston (5) into electrical energy. A valve (10) at the tank outlet whose open or closed positions allow the tank (4) to be filled or emptied in accordance with the action of the inlet multiport valve (9).
