Case with extractable / retractable charging port

Abstract

A case (100, figure 1) comprises a tether 318 coupled to a case interior and a support member 300. The support member 300 including a planar support 304 attached to the tether 318, and a port well 308 disposed on the planar support 304. The port well 308 being configured to receive an internal port 400 of the case. Sidewalls of the port well 308 secure the internal port 400 without interfering with attachment and detachment of an external port 404 to and from the internal port 400 while the internal port is secured in the port well 308. The tether 318 may be an elastic tether. The tether 318 is configured to facilitate extraction and retraction of the support member 300 from an aperture (101, figure 1) of the case for coupling of the internal charging port 400 to an external charging port 404.
