Downlight with replacable parts

Abstract

The downlight 101, for mounting at least partially in an aperture in a partition (e.g., a ceiling), comprises: a first housing 3, a second housing 7 mounted to the rear side B of the first housing, a solid-state lighting device 5 – e.g., a PCB 23 with LED(s) 21 – mounted within the first housing on a front side A thereof, a driver 9 located in the second housing, and an electrical connection assembly 11 including two connectors 13,15 releasably attachable to selectively connect and disconnect the driver and solid-state lighting device. The second housing may comprise locating pin(s) insertable through hole(s) in the first housing to engage the lighting device PCB. A second part comprising the first and second housings may be pivotably mounted on a first part comprising a flanged collar 104, with a deformable seal 108 provided between the first and second parts. A lens module 25 including a flexible member 30 with a locating lug 32 may be removably mounted in the first housing.
