Description
BACKGROUND This invention relates to a temporary structure for erecting on the ground. Temporary structures, such as tents, marquees, event shelters, gazebos or awnings, are used in many different locations and in different conditions. The structures often must be used in weather conditions including heavy rain and high winds. The present invention seeks to provide a temporary structure that may address issues and / or disadvantages of prior art temporary structures. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION According to an aspect of the present invention we provide a temporary structure for erecting on the ground including: a panel for defining at least a portion of an internal space, wherein the panel includes one or more connection devices; a support structure for supporting the panel relative to the ground; and a tensioning member for placing the panel under tension and which is arranged relative to the panel by the one or more connection devices, wherein, during use, the panel may be placed under tension by one or more tensioning devices being selectively connected to the tensioning member at a plurality of points along the tensioning member. Optionally or preferably the panel has a lower end which is adjacent to the ground when the temporary structure is erected, and wherein one or more connection devices are positioned at or near the lower end. Optionally or preferably the panel includes a securing flap attached thereto, wherein the one or more connection devices are provided on the securing flap. Optionally or preferably the securing flap includes a first end attached to the panel and a free end opposite the first end; and wherein the free end is closer to the ground than the first end when the temporary structure is erected, optionally or preferably the one or more connection devices are located at or near the free end of the securing flap. Optionally or preferably when the temporary structure is erected, and the tensioning member is located adjacent or near the ground. Optionally or preferably the one or more connection devices are spaced apart from each other so that the tensioning member is accessible in the spaces between the one or more connection devices to permit the one or more connection devices to be connected. Optionally or preferably the tensioning member runs generally horizontal when the temporary structure is erected. Optionally or preferably the one or more connection devices are placed such that a space S is formed between the tensioning member and an external surface of the panel. Optionally or preferably the one or more tensioning devices include: an elongate portion having an upper end and a lower end; a head portion connected to the upper end; and an anchoring portion at the lower end for attaching to the ground, optionally or preferably inserting into the ground, optionally or preferably wherein the elongate portion is for inserting in a space S between the tensioning member and the external surface of the panel and the head portion is for retaining the tensioning member relative to the tensioning device. Optionally or preferably the tensioning member is elongate and has a first and second end; and wherein, each of the first and second ends includes a securing formation for securing a tensioning device therein so that, in use, the tensioning member may be placed under tension by a single or plurality of tensioning devices being secured by the securing formations. Optionally or preferably, the temporary structure includes a plurality of panels, wherein the tensioning member is a singular tensioning member which extends around the perimeter of the temporary structure for placing the plurality of panels under tension during use. Optionally or preferably there is a plurality of panels and one or more of the panels are door panels for gaining entry to the internal space; wherein each of the door panels has connection devices and a door tensioning member for placing the door panel under tension and which door tensioning member is arranged relative to the door panel by the respective connection devices; and wherein the door tensioning member extends along the width of the door panel. Optionally or preferably the temporary structure includes a plurality of tensioning members, wherein each of the plurality of tensioning members is for placing a respective plurality of panels under tension. Optionally or preferably the one or more connection devices are loops defining respective passages through which the tensioning members extend. Optionally or preferably the temporary structure includes a plurality of said panels, wherein the tensioning member is connected to at least some or all of the plurality of said panels. Optionally or preferably the tensioning member is a resiliently flexible member, for example an elastic cord. Optionally or preferably the tensioning device is a tent peg, optionally or preferably a metal tent peg. According to another aspect of the present invention we provide a kit of parts including: a temporary structure including a panel for defining at least a portion of an internal space, wherein the panel includes one or more connection devices; a support structure for supporting the panel relative to the ground; and a tensioning member for placing the panel under tension and which is arranged relative to the panel by the one or more connection devices, wherein, during use, the panel may be placed under tension by one or more tensioning devices being selectively connected to the tensioning member at a plurality of points along the tensioning member. A panel or door panel for use with the temporary structure according to any preceding aspect, wherein the panel or door panel includes one or more connection devices for supporting the tensioning member relative to the panel or door panel. According to another aspect of the present invention we provide a temporary structure for erecting on the ground including: a panel for defining at least a portion of an internal space, including: a first part; a second part; and a fastening device for releasably connecting the first part and the second part together, wherein, in an open state of the fastening device, the first and second parts are open, and in a closed state of the fastening device, the first and second parts are closed by the fastening device; a support structure for supporting the panel relative to the ground; a first cover flap attached to the first part of the panel; a second cover flap attached to the second part of the panel; wherein, when the fastening device is in the closed state, the first and second cover flaps overlap each other and each extend over the fastening device to cover the fastening device. Optionally or preferably wherein the first cover flap has a first end attached to the first part and an opposite second, free, end, and optionally or preferably the first end is closer to the fastening device than the second end. Optionally or preferably wherein the second cover flap has a first end attached to the second part and an opposite second, free, end, and wherein the second end is closer to the fastening device than the first end. Optionally or preferably the temporary structure includes a diverter flap attached to the second part and located adjacent the second cover flap, wherein the diverter flap extends away from the second cover flap such that a free end of the diverter flap is spaced away from the second cover flap. Optionally or preferably the diverter flap and second part of the panel are connected together so that a channel or space is formed between an internal surface of the diverter flap and an external surface of the second part, optionally or preferably the diverter flap is held inclined relative to the second part to form an angle 0 between the diverter flap and the second part. Optionally or preferably the second cover flap is a single sheet having a first end, and a second end opposite the first end, wherein the single sheet is folded about a fold line along a lengthwise direction such that the first and second ends of the single sheet contact each other, and the fold line is located closer to the fastening device than the first and second ends of the single sheet. According to another aspect of the present invention we provide a panel is for defining an internal space of a temporary structure, the panel including: a first part; a second part; and a fastening device for releasably connecting the first part and the second part together, wherein, in an open state of the fastening device the first and second part are open, and in a closed state of the fastening means the first and second part are closed by the fastening device; a first cover flap attached to the first part of the panel; a second cover flap attached to the second part of the panel; wherein, when the fastening device is in the closed state, the first and second cover flaps overlap each other and each extend over the fastening device to cover the fastening device. According to another aspect of the present invention we provide a temporary structure or kit of parts or panel according to any preceding aspect. Optionally or preferably the temporary structure according to any preceding aspect includes the features of the temporary structure of any of the other preceding aspects. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DISCLOSURE With reference to figures 1 to 7, a temporary structure 10 and certain parts thereof in accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure is shown. The temporary structure 10 is for erecting on the ground 14. The temporary structure 10 includes panels 30 for defining at least a portion of an internal space 12, having one or more connection devices 50, a support structure 60 for supporting the panels 30 relative to the ground 14 and a tensioning member 70 for placing the panels 30 under tension and which is arranged relative to the panels 30 by the one or more connection devices 50. During use, the panels 30 may be placed under tension by one or more tensioning devices 80 being selectively connected to the tensioning member 70 at a plurality of points along the tensioning member 70. In the example shown in figures 1 to 7, the temporary structure 10 includes a plurality of panels 30 connected together to form the main external body of the temporary structure 10. However, in other examples in accordance with the present disclosure, a single, larger, panel 30 may form the main external body of the temporary structure 10 and the connection devices 50 and tensioning member 70 are for placing parts or all of the panel 30 under tension as required. In the present example, one or more of the panels 30 may include the connection devices 50 and the tensioning member 70 may be for only placing a subset of the said panel(s) 30 under tension. In examples, of the panels 30, only one of the panels 30, e.g. a panel forming a door panel for gaining entry to the space 12, may be provided with the connection devices 50 and tensioning member 70 so that only the single panel may be placed under tension. The panels 30 may be a sheet material, e.g. made from a synthetic or natural sheet material. The panels 30 may be stretched to fit around the support structure 30 to define the internal space 12. The temporary structure 10, when erected, is a tent, e.g. a camping tent, in this example as best seen in figure 1. The temporary structure 10 includes a front side 20 opposite a rear side 22 and a left side 24 opposite a right side 26. The left and right sides 24, 26 each extend between the front 20 and rear 22 sides. The front, rear, left and right sides 20, 22,24, 26 define a generally rectangular temporary structure 10. However, the skilled person will understand that other shaped temporary structure 10 are possible without departing from the disclosure, such as a circular or triangular temporary structure 10. Each of the front, rear, left and right sides 20, 22, 24, 26 may comprise a single panel 30 or a plurality of panels 30. The temporary structure 10 may include a ground sheet (not shown) that is held in place by respective fixing devices, e.g. pegs or the like. In examples, the temporary structure 10 may not have or require a ground sheet. The temporary structure 10 shown in figure 1 is a tent. In other examples, the temporary structure 10 may be an awning, a marquee, an event shelter or a gazebo. The panels 30 each include an internal surface 34 (not shown) and an external surface 32. The temporary structure 10 may include guy-lines 28 for adding stability to the temporary structure 10. In examples, the temporary structure 10 may not require or include guy-lines. One of the panels 30 is shown in figure 2. The panels 30 which form a respective side 20, 22, 24, 26 are generally identically shaped or shaped as required to form the desired shape of the temporary structure 10 at each of the sides 20, 22, 24, 26. The panel 30 includes an internal surface 34 (not shown) and an external surface 32. In this example, the panel 30 is rectangular shaped but may have other shapes in other examples. The panel 30 has an upper end 35 and a lower end 36. The lower end 36 may be adjacent to the ground 14 when the temporary structure 10 is erected. The connection devices 50 may be positioned at or near the lower end 36. Each of the panels 30 includes a securing flap 37 attached thereto. One or more of the connection devices 50 may be provided on the securing flap 37. The securing flap 37 is generally elongate and extends laterally or widthwise across the panel 30. The securing flap 37 may include a first end 38 attached to the panel and a free end 39 opposite the first end 38. The free end 39 is closer to the ground 12 than the first end 37 when the temporary structure 10 is erected. One or more of the connection devices 50 may be located at or near the free end 39 of the securing flap 37. In other examples,, the panel 30 may not include a securing flap 37. Instead, the one or more connection devices 50 may be located on and directly or indirectly attached to the panel 30. In examples, the connection devices 50 and may be located at or adjacent the lower end 36 of the panel 30. The temporary structure 10 may include a plurality of panels 30 and one or more of the panels 30 may be a door panel. In this example, the temporary structure 10 includes a door panel 65 shown in an open state in which it is rolled up and secured to the top end of the adjacent panel 30. The door panel 65 is for gaining entry to the internal space 12. The door panel 65 may have any of the features of the panel 30 described above. In particular, the door panel 65 may have its own connection devices 50 for use with the tensioning member 70, or its own respective door tensioning member for tensioning the door panel 65. In some examples, the temporary structure 10 may include a plurality of door panels 65. Each door panel 65 may have its own connection devices 50 and a door tensioning member for placing the door panel 65 under tension and which door tensioning member is arranged relative to the door panel 65 by the respective connection devices 50. The door tensioning member may extend along the width of the door panel 65. The door tensioning member may share one or more features in common with the tensioning member 70 as defined in other parts of this disclosure. As best shown in figure 3 which shows a lower / free end of the securing flap 37, the connection devices 50 may be loops 52, which each define respective passages through which the tensioning member 70 extends. In other examples, the connection devices 50 may take another form. For example, the one or more connection devices 50 may formed as the hem of the panel 30 with the tensioning member 70 extending through the hem and parts of the hem being open to permit access to the tensioning member 70 at different points. In other examples, the connection devices 50 may be eyelet rings formed within the securing flap 37 and the tensioning member 70 extend through the openings defined by the eyelet rings. The connection devices 50 may be arranged to be spaced apart from each other so that the tensioning member 70 is accessible in the spaces between the devices 50 to permit the connection devices 50 to be connected to the tensioning member 70. The connection devices 50 are placed such that a space S is formed between the tensioning member 70 and the external surface 32 of the panel 30. The support structure 60 is located generally within the temporary structure 10 to provide support to the panels 30 and to provide structure to the shape of the temporary structure 10 such that the internal space 12 is created. The support structure 60 may take different forms as are known in the art for supporting panels of temporary structures. In the example shown in figure 1, the support structure 60 may include one or more poles (not shown) or frame members which are fixed to the ground 14. In examples, the poles may be made from fibreglass or steel. In examples, an inflatable system may be used to form the whole or part of the support structure 60. In such examples, the panels may include cavities which can be inflated to provide support to the temporary structure 10. In examples, a combination of an inflatable system and poles may be used. Other types of support structure 60 may be used without departing from the scope of the present disclosure. The tensioning member 70 is used to provide tension to the panels 30, as shown in figure 4 which is another portion of the securing flap 37 when the tensioning member has been connected to a tensioning device 80. The tensioning member 70 may be a resiliently flexible member, for example an elastic cord. When the temporary structure 10 is erected, the tensioning member 70 is located adjacent or near the ground 14. The tensioning member 70 runs generally horizontal when the temporary structure is erected. For example, the tensioning member 70 runs along a path generally parallel to the ground 14. When the temporary structure 10 is erected on uneven ground, the tensioning member 70 may follow any peaks and throughs in the ground 14, but nevertheless in general it remains horizontal. The tensioning member 70 is elongate and may have first and second opposite ends 72, 74. Referring to figure 6, each of the first and second ends 72, 74 may include a securing formation 76 for securing a tensioning device 80 therein so that, in use, the tensioning member 70 may be placed under tension by a single or plurality of tensioning devices 80 being secured by the securing formations 76. The securing formation 76 may take the form of a loop 52. The loop 52 may be tied on the first and second ends 72, 74 of the tensioning member 70 by the user or alternatively the loop 52 may be formed during the manufacturing of the tensioning member 70 and be integral to the first and second ends 72, 74 of the tensioning member 70. In examples, the tensioning member 70 may not include first and second ends 72, 74, and instead the tensioning members 70 may be a single continuous loop, i.e. with no loose ends, which extends around the whole perimeter of the temporary structure 10. In the example shown in the figures, a singular tensioning member 70 is used around the perimeter of the temporary structure 10. A singular tensioning member 70 extends around the perimeter of the temporary structure 10 for placing the plurality of panels 30 under tension during use. In examples, the temporary structure 10 may include a plurality of panels 30 and the tensioning member 70 may be connected to a subset rather than all of the panels 30. Where one or more sides of the structure 10 has single large panel which extends around the respective sides / the whole structure 10 to define its wall(s). Alternatively, in other examples, there is a plurality of tensioning members 70 and each of the plurality of tensioning members 70 is for placing a respective plurality of panels 30 under tension. In other words, tensioning members 70 may be connected to a single panel 30, or a plurality of panels 30. One of the tensioning devices 80 is shown in figure 5. The tensioning device 80 may be a tent peg, e.g. a metal tent peg. Other types of tensioning device 80 or configurations thereof may be used. For example, the tensioning device may include a walking pole. The tensioning device 80 may include an elongate portion 82 having an upper end 84 and a lower end 86, a head portion 88 connected to the upper end 84, and an anchoring portion 90 at the lower end 86 for attaching to, or inserting into, the ground 14. The elongate portion 80 may be for inserting in the space S between the tensioning member 70 and the external surface 32 of the panel 30. The head portion 88 is for retaining the tensioning member 70 relative to the tensioning device 80. In this example, the head portion 88 is hook shaped to retain the tensioning member 70 in place. Use of the tensioning member 70 and tensioning devices 80 will now be described. Firstly, the temporary structure 10 is erected so that the support structure 60 and panels 30 are connected together and the structure 10 is installed in place on the ground. The panels 30 may include separate fixing devices, e.g. loops or the like, that are connected thereto and located at pre-determined locations around the structure 10 and which receive fixing members, e.g. similar or identical to the tensioning devices 80, for placing the panels 30 under tension / holding the panels 30 taut in a manner that is known in the art. In this example, the tensioning member 70 is already connected to the connection devices 50 during manufacture of the temporary structure 10 or when the parts thereof have been assembled so that no additional steps are required to fit the tensioning member 70 in place relative to the panels 30. In other examples, the user may need to connect the tensioning member 70 to the connection devices 50, e.g. by threading the tensioning member 70 through the connection devices, so that the tensioning member 70 is held relative to the panels 30. In this example, the respective ends 72, 74 of the tensioning member 70 will be loose and located near the front side of the temporary structure 10. The user must secure the ends 72, 74 so as to tension the tensioning member 70. This is done by bringing the ends 72, 74 together at a common point, aligning the securing formations 76 and then inserting tensioning device 80 through the securing formations 76 so that the lower end 86 passes through the ground until the head portion 88 pulls down on the ends 72, 74 to tension the tensioning member 70. By securing the first and second ends 72, 74 using tensioning device 80 a first level of tension is provided to the tensioning member 70. In examples where the tensioning member 70 is a single continuous loop, the tensioning member 70 may be pre-tensioned to the first level of tension during manufacture or assembly of the temporary structure 10. Following this, the user may then insert tensioning devices 80 in the space between the tensioning member 70 and the external surface 32 at any point along the length of the tensioning member 70 between the connection devices 50 to tension whichever portion of the panels 30 need to be tensioned to prevent sagging or the like thereof. Particularly in locations of the panels 30 where the existing fixing devices (where provided) are not present and so cannot be tensioned by them. Figure 7 shows portion A of the structure 10 (see figure 1) in a magnified scale with several tensioning devices 80 located along the length of the tensioning member 70 and away from the external surface 32. These tensioning devices 80 increase the tension of the tensioning member 70 to a second level of tension, and also provide tension to the panels 30 of the temporary structure 10 in the desired locations where there may otherwise be a lack of tension or sagging in the panels 30. The configuration of the connection devices and tensioning member provides several advantages. One advantage is that additional tension can be provided to specific areas of the temporary structure 10. For example, if there are high winds from a given direction, the panels 30 that face the high winds may be provided with additional tensioning devices 80 to provide additional tension on those panels 30. A further advantage is that when erecting a temporary structure 10, the ground 14 may be uneven or some of the ground 14 may not be suitable for using the tensioning devices 80. For example, when the tensioning device 80 is a tent peg, it may be difficult to insert the tent peg into the ground 14 if stones or rocks are present in some areas. The temporary structure 10 of the present disclosure allows for the temporary structure 10 to be sufficiently secured to the ground 14 in such a case, as the tensioning devices 80 can be attached or inserted in positions that avoid areas of the ground 14 that are unsuitable for attachment or insertion of the tensioning devices 80. As described above, the temporary structure 10 may include a door panel 65. In examples, the door tensioning member of the door panel 65 may be the only tensioning member 70 of the whole structure 10, i.e. it is only used for tensioning the door panel 65 or for tensioning the door panel 65 as well as the rest of the panels 30, or it may be in addition to another tensioning member 70 where the other tensioning member 70 is for tensioning the other panels and the door tensioning member is only for tensioning the door panel 65. In use, the door tensioning member can be used in a similar way to the tensioning member 70 described above. The door tensioning member has a first end and second end, which are located generally at the left and right sides of the door panel 65, respectively. Each of the first and second end are secured at a first and second point respectively by tensioning devices 80 being inserted in securing formations 76 which are located at each of the first and second ends of the door tensioning member. By securing the first and second ends of the door panel 65, a first level of tension is provided to the door tensioning member. Following this, the user can insert tensioning devices 80 between the door tensioning member and the external surface 32, at any point along the length of the door tensioning member between the connection devices 50. These tensioning devices 80 increase the tension of the door tensioning member to a second level of tension, and also provide tension to the door panel 65 in the same way as previously described for the panels 30 of the temporary structure 10. A kit of parts may be provided which includes a temporary structure 10 including a panel 30 for defining at least a portion of an internal space 12, wherein the panel 30 includes one or more connection devices 50, a support structure 60 for supporting the panel 30 relative to the ground 14 and a tensioning member 70 for placing the panel 30 under tension and which is arranged relative to the panel 30 by the one or more connection devices 50. During use, the panel 30 may be placed under tension by one or more tensioning devices 80 being selectively connected to the tensioning member 70 at a plurality of points along the tensioning member 70. With reference to figure 8a to 12b, a panel 130 of a temporary structure 110 according to other aspects of the present disclosure is shown. The temporary structure 110 may include any of the features of the temporary structure 10 described previously. For the purpose of describing the present aspects, only those features relevant to the present aspects will be described hereinafter. In this example, the panel 130 is configured as a door to gain entry to the internal space of the temporary structure 10. Temporary structure 110 includes a panel 130 for defining at least a portion of an internal space including a first part 132, a second part 134 and a fastening device 136. The fastening device 136 is for releasably connecting the first part and the second part 132, 134 together. In an open state of the fastening device 136, the first and second parts 132, 134 are open, and in a closed state of the fastening device 136, the first and second parts 132, 134 are closed by the fastening device 136. The temporary structure also includes a support structure (not shown in the figures) for supporting the panel 130 relative to the ground 14. The first cover flap 140 is attached to the first part 132 of the panel 130 and the second cover flap 150 is attached to the second part 134 of the panel 130. The first part 132 forms a door panel or section similar to the door panel 65 and the second part 134 forms the adjacent panel or section akin to a wall defining an opening for the door panel to be positioned therein. When the fastening device 136 is in the closed state (as shown in figures 10a, 10b, 12a, and 12b), the first and second cover flaps 140, 150 overlap each other and each extend over the fastening device 136 to cover the fastening device 136. The open and closed states used herein denote the at rest state of the temporary structure 110. It will be understood that, during use, weather conditions may cause one or more of the cover flaps 140,150 to move relative to each other as will be described below. The first cover flap 140 has a first end 142a attached to the first part 132 and an opposite second, free, end 142b. In the rest state, the first end 142a may be located closer to the fastening device 136 than the second end 142b when the parts 132, 134 are closed. The first end 142a is attached to the first part 132 adjacent the fastening device 136, e.g. spaced apart therefrom in a lateral or widthwise direction with respect to the fastening device 136. The second cover flap 150 includes a first end 152a attached to the second part 134, and an opposite second, free, end 152b. In the rest state, the second end 152b may be located closer and / or extend over the fastening device 136 than the first end 152 when the parts 132, 134 are closed. The first end 152a may be attached to the second part 134 to be closer to the fastening device 136 compared to the first end 142a relative to the fastening device 136. The panel 130 may be a door panel, and the first part 132 may be a door and the second part 134 may be an outer section or adjacent panel I panel section. Alternatively, the first part 132 may be an outer section and the second part 134 may be a door. The temporary structure 110 may include a diverter flap 170. The diverter flap 170 is for directing any rain on the second part 134 of the panel 130 away from the fastening means 136. The diverter flap 170 may be attached to the second part 134 and located adjacent the second cover flap 150. The diverter flap 170 may be arranged to extend in a generally opposite widthwise or lateral direction compared to the second cover flap 150. In particular, the diverter flap 170 may extend away from the second cover flap 150 such that a free end 174 of the diverter flap 170 is spaced away from the second cover flap 150. The diverter flap 170 and second part 134 are connected together, e.g. by a connection 165 in the form of a seam or weld or the like, so that a channel or space 170’ is formed between an internal surface of the diverter flap 170 (which faces towards an external surface of the second part 134) and the external surface of the second part 134. This channel or space 170’ is for trapping and / or directing rainwater to flow downwardly to the ground rather than across and onto the fastening device 136. The connection 165 may be configured so that the diverter flap 170 is held inclined relative to the second part 134, e.g. to form an angle 0 between the diverter flap 170 and the second part 134. The diverter flap 170 may be relatively rigid, e.g. compared to the second cover flap 150. The angle 0 may be at least 10 degrees. Corresponding ends 152a, 174 of the second cover flap 150 and the diverter flap 170 may be attached to the second part 134 by a common connection, e.g. connection 165, which may be a common seam, weld or similar connection known in the art. As shown best in figure 12a, the diverter flap 170 may have a first layer 177 and a second layer 179. At least a portion of the second cover flap 150, e.g. the first end 152a thereof, may be located between the first layer 177 and the second layer 179. In particular, this portion may be attached to the second part 134. In alternative embodiments, not shown, the diverter flap 170 may be a piece of material with a given thickness, such that the diverter flap 170 is raised relative to the second part 134. Alternatively, the diverter flap 170 may be shaped, e.g. due to its rigidity, such that rain is diverted away from the fastening device 136. For example, the diverter flap 170 may have a rectangular shape in cross section to define a channel between the diverter flap 170 and the second part 134. As best seen in figure 12a, the second cover flap 150 may be a single sheet having a first end 156, and a second end 158 opposite the first end 156. The single sheet may be folded about a fold line, e.g. which forms the free end 152b, along a lengthwise direction such that the first and second ends 156, 158 of the single sheet contact each other to form the first end 152a of the second cover flap 150. The diverter flap 170 may be a single sheet having a first end, and a second end opposite the first end. The single sheet may be folded about a fold line, e.g. which forms the free end 174 of the diverter flap 170, along a lengthwise direction such that the first and second ends of the single sheet contact each other to form the first end 176 of diverter flap 170. The first cover 140 may be secured to the second part 134 and the second cover 150 may be secured to the first part 132 using a suitable attachment means, such as velcro or poppers (not shown). The first cover flap 140 and the second cover flap 150 may be parallel in a lengthwise direction, i.e. along the length of the fastening means 136. The diverter flap 170 may be parallel to the first and second covers 140, 150 in a lengthwise direction. The first and second cover flaps 140,150 may each have a respective width and the width of the first cover flap 140 is larger than the width of the second cover flap 150. The width of the first cover 140 may be larger than the width of the second cover 150. The first cover 140 may extend over the whole of the second cover 150 when the parts 132, 134 are in the closed position. The first cover flap 140 may extend over the whole of the diverter flap 170 when the panel 130 in the closed position. The first cover 140 may extend past the diverter flap 170 when the panel 130 is in the closed position. The fastening means 136 may be a water resistant zip. The zip may be waterproof zip and may include a waterproof or water resistant webbing 180, as shown in figure 11a. The webbing 180 reduces the amount of water that can ingress through the zip. The arrangement of the first and second cover flaps 140, 150 provides for improved protection against water ingress into the fastening device 136 and the internal surface of the panel 130. Referring to figures 10a and 10b, and figures 12a, 12b, which show the parts 132, 134 closed by the fastening device 136, it can be seen that the first cover flap 140 covers all of the fastening device 136 as well as the second cover flap 150, and the diverter flap 170. In this state, any rainwater is unlikely to reach the fastening device 136 because it is covered by both the first cover flap 140 and the second cover flap 150. If there is a wind blowing in a first direction which is opposite to the orientation of the first cover flap 140, then the flap 140 will open with respect to the panel 130 revealing the second cover flap 150 below it as shown in figures 9a and 9b win which the flap 140 is shown opened. However, because the second cover flap 150 is arranged or orientation in the opposite direction, i.e. it opens in an opposite direction to the first cover flap 140, the same wind will not lift the second cover flap 150 open. Instead the flap 150 remains closed as shown in figures 9a and 9b, and hence the likelihood of rainwater being swept onto the fastening device 136 by the wind is reduced. If wind changes direction, or wind is blowing in an opposite direction, then it will be readily understood that the first cover flap 140 will stay closed and thus protect against rainwater reaching the fastening device 136. When used in this specification and claims, the terms "comprises" and "comprising" and variations thereof mean that the specified features, steps or integers are included. The terms are not to be interpreted to exclude the presence of other features, steps or components. The invention may also broadly consist in the parts, elements, steps, examples and / or features referred to or indicated in the specification individually or collectively in any and all combinations of two or more said parts, elements, steps, examples and / or features. Claims
1. A temporary structure for erecting on the ground including:a panel for defining at least a portion of an internal space, wherein the panel includes one or more connection devices;a support structure for supporting the panel relative to the ground; anda tensioning member for placing the panel under tension and which is arranged relative to the panel by the one or more connection devices,wherein, during use, the panel may be placed under tension by one or more tensioning devices being selectively connected to the tensioning member at a plurality of points along the tensioning member.
2. A temporary structure according to claim 1 wherein the panel has a lower end which is adjacent to the ground when the temporary structure is erected, and wherein one or more connection devices are positioned at or near the lower end.
3. A temporary structure according to claim 1 or 2 wherein the panel includes a securing flap attached thereto, wherein the one or more connection devices are provided on the securing flap,optionally or preferably wherein the securing flap includes a first end attached to the panel and a free end opposite the first end; andwherein the free end is closer to the ground than the first end when the temporary structure is erected, optionally or preferably the one or more connection devices are located at or near the free end of the securing flap.
4. A temporary structure according to any preceding claim wherein when the temporary structure is erected, and the tensioning member is located adjacent or near the ground, and / or wherein the tensioning member runs generally horizontal when the temporary structure is erected.
5. A temporary structure according to any preceding claim wherein the one or more connection devices are spaced apart from each other so that the tensioning member is accessible in the spaces between the one or more connection devices to permit the one or more connection devices to be connected,and / or wherein the one or more connection devices are placed such that a space S is formed between the tensioning member and an external surface of the panel.
6. A temporary structure according to any preceding claim wherein the one or more tensioning devices include:an elongate portion having an upper end and a lower end;a head portion connected to the upper end; andan anchoring portion at the lower end for attaching to the ground, optionally or preferably inserting into the ground,and / or wherein the elongate portion is for inserting in a space S between the tensioning member and the external surface of the panel and the head portion is for retaining the tensioning member relative to the tensioning device.
7. A temporary structure according to any preceding claim wherein the tensioning member is elongate and has a first and second end; andwherein, each ofthe first and second ends includes a securing formation for securing a tensioning device therein so that, in use, the tensioning member may be placed under tension by a single or plurality of tensioning devices being secured by the securing formations.
8. A temporary structure according to any preceding claim, including a plurality of panels, wherein the tensioning member is a singular tensioning member which extends around the perimeter ofthe temporary structure for placing the plurality of panels under tension during use,and / or one or more ofthe panels are door panels for gaining entry to the internal space;wherein each of the door panels has connection devices and a door tensioning member for placing the door panel under tension and which door tensioning member is arranged relative to the door panel by the respective connection devices; andwherein the door tensioning member extends along the width ofthe door panel.
9. A temporary structure according to any preceding claim including a plurality of tensioning members, wherein each ofthe plurality of tensioning members is for placing a respective plurality of panels under tension,and / or wherein the one or more connection devices are loops defining respective passages through which the tensioning members extend,and / or wherein the tensioning member is connected to at least some or all of the plurality of said panels.
10. A temporary structure according to any preceding claim wherein the tensioning member is a resiliently flexible member, for example an elastic cord,and / or wherein the tensioning device is a tent peg, optionally or preferably a metal tent peg.
11. A temporary structure according to any preceding claim wherein the temporary structure is one of:a tent;an awning;a marquee;an event shelter; or a gazebo.
12. A kit of parts including:a temporary structure including a panel for defining at least a portion of an internal space, wherein the panel includes one or more connection devices;a support structure for supporting the panel relative to the ground; anda tensioning member for placing the panel under tension and which is arranged relative to the panel by the one or more connection devices,wherein, during use, the panel may be placed under tension by one or more tensioning devices being selectively connected to the tensioning member at a plurality of points along the tensioning member.
13. A panel or door panel for use with the temporary structure of claims 1 to 11, wherein the panel or door panel includes one or more connection devices for supporting the tensioning member relative to the panel or door panel.
14. A temporary structure for erecting on the ground including:a panel for defining at least a portion of an internal space, including:a first part;a second part; anda fastening device for releasably connecting the first part and the second part together, wherein, in an open state of the fastening device, the first and second parts are open, and in a closed state of the fastening device, the first and second parts are closed by the fastening device;a support structure for supporting the panel relative to the ground;a first cover flap attached to the first part of the panel;a second cover flap attached to the second part of the panel;wherein, when the fastening device is in the closed state, the first and second cover flaps overlap each other and each extend over the fastening device to cover the fastening device.
15. A temporary structure according to claim 14 wherein the first cover flap has a first end attached to the first part and an opposite second, free, end,optionally or preferably the first end is closer to the fastening device than the second end,and / or wherein the second cover flap has a first end attached to the second part and an opposite second, free, end, and wherein the second end is closer to the fastening device than the first end.
16. A temporary structure according to claim 14 or 15 including a diverter flap attached to the second part and located adjacent the second cover flap,wherein the diverter flap extends away from the second cover flap such that a free end of the diverter flap is spaced away from the second cover flap.
17. A temporary structure according to claim 16 wherein the diverter flap and second part of the panel are connected together so that a channel or space is formed between an internal surface of the diverter flap and an external surface of the second part,optionally or preferably the diverter flap is held inclined relative to the second part to form an angle 0 between the diverter flap and the second part,optionally or preferably the angle 0 is at least 10 degrees, optionally or preferably the respective corresponding ends of the second cover flap and diverter flap are attached to the second part by a common connection.
18. A temporary structure according to any one of claims 16 to 17 wherein the diverter flap has a first layer and a second layer, and wherein at least a portion of the second cover flap is located between the first and second layer, optionally or preferably the portion is attached to the second part of the panel.
19. A temporary structure according to any of claims 14 to 18 wherein the second cover flap is a single sheet having a first end, and a second end opposite the first end,wherein the single sheet is folded about a fold line along a lengthwise direction such that the first and second ends of the single sheet contact each other, and the fold line is located closer to the fastening device than the first and second ends of the single sheet.
20. A temporary structure according to any of claims 16 to 19 wherein the diverter flap is a single sheet having a first end, and a second end opposite the first end,wherein the single sheet is folded about a fold line along a lengthwise direction such that the first and second ends of the single sheet contact each other, and the fold line is located further away from the second cover flap than the first and second ends of the single sheet.
21. A temporary structure according to any of claims 14 to 20 wherein the first and second cover flaps are generally parallel in a lengthwise direction when the first and second parts areclosed, optionally or preferably the diverter flap is parallel to the first and second cover flaps in a lengthwise direction when the first and second parts are closed.
22. A temporary structure according to any of claims 14 to 21 wherein the first and second cover flaps each have a respective width, and wherein the width of the first cover flap is larger than the width of the second cover flap,and / or the first cover flap extends over substantially all, or all of the second cover flap, when the first and second parts are closed.
23. A temporary structure according to any one of claims 16 to 22 wherein the first cover extends over substantially all, or all of the diverter flap when the first and second parts are closed, optionally or preferably wherein the first cover flap extends past the diverter flap, when the first and second parts are closed.
24. A temporary structure according to any of claims 14 to 23 wherein the first part is a door panel, and the second part is an adjacent panel; andwherein the door panel is for gaining entry into the internal space.
25. A temporary structure according to any of claims 14 to 24 wherein the fastening device is a water resistant zip, optionally of preferably the zip is a waterproof zip, optionally or preferably the zip includes a waterproof webbing.
26. A panel for defining an internal space of a temporary structure, the panel including:a first part;a second part; anda fastening device for releasably connecting the first part and the second part together, wherein, in an open state of the fastening device the first and second part are open, and in a closed state of the fastening means the first and second part are closed by the fastening device;a first cover flap attached to the first part of the panel;a second cover flap attached to the second part of the panel;wherein, when the fastening device is in the closed state, the first and second cover flaps overlap each other and each extend over the fastening device to cover the fastening device.
27. A temporary structure or kit of parts or panel according to any one of claims 1 to 13 including the panel according to claim 26.
28. A temporary structure according to any one of claims 14 to 26 dependent on any one of claims 1 to 13.
