Abstract
The invention relates to an improved extrusion device for recycling plastic waste, comprising a housing (10) with a tubular processing space (11), an inlet opening (13) into the processing space (11) formed at one end (12) of the housing (10), and an outlet opening (14) from the processing space (11) located at the other end (14) of the housing (10), a conveying screw unit (20) is rotatably inserted into the processing space (11) of the housing (10), and the conveying screw unit (20) is connected to a drive unit (30), and the conveying screw unit (20) is divided into at least two sections (A, B). The device is characterized in that one or more toroidal bodies (40, 50) provided with a through opening (41, 45) are arranged in the processing space (11), and the processing space is divided into two or more processing space sections (11a, 11b) by the toroidal bodies (40, 50), the conveying screw unit (20) is composed of counter-rotating screws (21, 22), the screws (21, 22) are guided through the through-opening (41, 51) of each of the toroidal bodies (40, 50), and each section (A, B) of the conveying screw unit (20) is separated from the other by the toroidal bodies (40, 50), and the free area (F) of the through-opening of the toroidal bodies (40, 50) is between 7 000 and 28 000 mm2. The invention also relates to a method that can be carried out using the device, the essence of which is that by using the toroidal bodies, the plastic waste mixture to be processed is brought to the desired temperature in stages but continuously by means of the thermal effect of internal convection, and thus a homogenized molten plastic mixture is created, which is pressed through an outlet opening (15) with a free cross-section of 25-120 mm and delivered to the shaping tool (2).
