Insulation stripping tool

Abstract

This item is an insulation stripping tool used to strip the insulation layer from a coated wire (electric wire) whose core wire is covered with a coating layer. As shown in the "reference front view showing the state of use," an operator operates the operating unit to adjust the distance between the first and second members and clamp the coated wire between them. Then, by rotating the insulation stripping tool relative to the coated wire in the direction AR1, the blade separates the coated wire into the coating layer and the core wire. As shown in the "reference front view showing the state of use," the blade is attached to the second member at an angle such that the cutting edge is slightly downward and to the right with respect to the center line between the first and second members. In this case, when the insulation stripping tool is rotated relative to the coated wire in the direction AR1, the blade strips the coating layer from the coated wire while tilting at an angle α from the vertical direction with respect to the center line. Therefore, a force propelling the insulation stripping tool to the left of the coated wire in the "reference front view showing the state of use" is applied to the insulation stripping tool, allowing for smooth stripping of the coating layer.
