Abstract

This item is an insulation stripping tool used to strip the insulation layer of an electric wire. As shown in the "reference right side view showing the state of use," an operator first operates the operating part to widen the gap between the first and second members, then inserts the insulated wire between the first and second members from the wire insertion direction, and then operates the operating part to narrow the gap between the first and second members to clamp the insulated wire between them. Then, as shown in the "reference front view showing the state of use," the operator rotates the insulation stripping tool relative to the insulated wire in the AR1 direction, causing the blades to separate the insulated wire into the insulation layer and the core wire. Note that, as shown in the "reference right side view showing the state of use without the side cover," if the insulation stripping tool does not have a side cover, the insulated wire may fall out of the insulated wire insertion opening when the insulation stripping tool is rotated relative to the insulated wire in the AR1 direction. On the other hand, as shown in the "reference right side view showing the state of use," if the distance between the first and second members is narrowed and the side cover is attached to the first member so that the protruding portion of the side cover overlaps with the second member, the insulated wire can be prevented from falling out of the insulated wire insertion opening when the insulation coating stripping tool is rotated relative to the insulated wire in the AR1 direction.
