Abstract

The article according to the proposed design (hereinafter, referred to as the proposed article) can be used, as shown in the attached reference diagram showing the place of use, when constructing a temporary structure consisting of a floor tensioning material that serves as a work scaffold or a falling object receiver temporarily installed under the work target during construction or repair work of a bridge body or an elevated road, and a side protection material rising from the side of the floor tensioning material. The floor tensioning material and side protection material are rectangular in shape, and scaffolding boards, protective nets, protective plates, etc. are stretched between a pair of left and right side frames along the length direction. The pair of left and right side frames protrude from the end edges of the side protection material and floor tensioning material, and connecting steel pipes used for connecting the side protection material and floor tensioning material are installed between the protruding ends of the pair of left and right side frames. When constructing the above temporary structure, the floor tensioning material and side protection material are connected in the required number in the width direction perpendicular to the respective length directions to form the floor tensioning material and side protection material of the required width. It is common for floor tensioning materials to be connected in the length direction as many as necessary. Finally, a connecting means is required to connect the connecting steel pipe at the outer end of the length direction of the floor tensioning material at the width direction end of the temporary structure to the connecting steel pipe at the lower end of the side protection material, and the proposed article can be used as this connecting means. The proposed article has two conventionally known pipe clamps of the same size that can clamp and fasten a steel pipe with an outer diameter of about 50 mm attached to the surface side of both ends of the length direction of the base member, and both pipe clamps are obliquely oriented in the length direction of the base member and parallel to each other as shown in the plan view, and are arranged so that the tip of the receiving member of one pipe clamp (the engagement part of the fastening bolt) and the pivot part of the receiving member of the other pipe clamp overlap each other so that a predetermined space is secured between the two parallel steel pipes clamped by the two pipe clamps (see front view and rear view).A specific method of using the proposed article will be explained based on the attached reference diagram showing the usage state. With the proposed article in a position where the tips of the receiving members of both pipe clamps (engagement parts of the fastening bolts) face upward and the base member is located outside the connection part between the floor tensioning material and the side protection material, the connecting steel pipe of the floor tensioning material is clamped between the receiving member and the holding member of the lower pipe clamp and fastened with the fastening bolt, and the connecting steel pipe at the lower end of the side protection material is clamped between the receiving member and the holding member of the upper pipe clamp and fastened with the fastening bolt. By this operation, the floor tensioning material and the side protection material are connected in an L-shape via each connecting steel pipe and the proposed article, and the rising angle of the side protection material to the floor tensioning material at this time can be freely changed by adjusting the attachment angle of the proposed article to the connecting steel pipe of the floor tensioning material and the attachment angle of the proposed article to the connecting steel pipe of the side protection material. As is also clear from the reference diagram showing the usage state, the fastening bolts of both pipe clamps are directed toward the work space surrounded by the floor installation material and side protective material, and the nuts of the fastening bolts can be tightened and unscrewed safely and easily within the work space.
