Abstract

This article is an absorbent article having a low-basis-weight section and an embossed section. The absorbent article has an absorbent core in which absorbent material is laminated. The absorbent core has a low-basis-weight section in which the basis weight of the absorbent material is lower than that of the surrounding area. The absorbent article has an embossed section formed by compressing the absorbent core and a top sheet covering the skin side of the absorbent core in the thickness direction.
