Method for producing viscose

Abstract

To provide a method for producing viscose that enables simplified operation due to its mild temperature conditions, ensures enhanced safety through lower consumption of carbon disulfide, allows for production of high-strength cellulose molded bodies due to high cellulose density, and demonstrates excellent practicality.SOLUTION: A method for producing viscose includes adding cellulose xanthate, made from natural cellulose, to regenerated viscose, formed by the reaction of regenerated cellulose with alkali and carbon disulfide. The regenerated viscose is formed by adding 1-30 mass% of carbon disulfide based on cellulose, at a cellulose level of 0.5-6 mass% and an alkali level of 5-12 mass%, and reacting them at a liquid temperature of -10 to 30°C.SELECTED DRAWING: None
