Abstract

To provide a lighting device of which the circuit scale can be reduced in a size, and a lighting fixture.SOLUTION: A lighting device 2 comprises a rectification circuit 4, a step-down chopper circuit 5, an auxiliary winding L2, a voltage conversion section 9, and a control section 7. The step-down chopper circuit 5 includes a choke coil L1, a switching element S1, and a regenerative diode S1. The switching element S1 is connected between a low-side DC output end 422 in a pair of DC output ends 42 of the rectification circuit 4 and the choke coil L1. The regenerative diode D1 forms a closed circuit including the choke coil L1 when the switching element S1 is off. The auxiliary winding L2 is magnetically coupled to the choke coil L1. A voltage of the auxiliary winding L2 is converted and outputted by the voltage conversion section 9. The control section 7 includes an input terminal PI1, to which the output voltage of the voltage conversion section 9 is inputted, and controls on / off of the switching element S1 on the basis of the voltage which is inputted to the input terminal PI1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
