Hardening depth measurement device

Abstract

To provide a hardening depth measurement device with improved measurement accuracy for the hardening depth (depth of a hardened layer) of a hardened steel material.SOLUTION: A hardening depth measurement device according to the present invention is the hardening depth measurement device that measures the depth of a hardened layer formed on a front layer of a hardened steel material and includes: an excitation coil which generates a magnetic flux to magnetize the steel material; and a detection unit which detects the magnetic flux generated by the excitation coil. The excitation coil has a base that connects both magnetic poles and base ends of the magnetic poles. The tip parts of the magnetic poles are opposed to the steel material. The detection unit includes a distance sensor that is arranged between the magnetic poles and along the surface of the steel material and measures a distance between the steel material and the detection unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
