Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a solid bath additive and a bath additive product in which the solid bath additive is contained in a flexible package with a resin fitting. [Background technology]

[0002] Recent bath additives include non-effervescent bath additives and carbonated effervescent bath additives, the former of which contain carbonates and / or inorganic salts as main ingredients, and the latter of which contain carbonates and organic acids as main ingredients (see Patent Document 1).

[0003] Bath additives usually contain fragrances. The fragrances have a pleasant stimulating effect, and are known to enhance beneficial effects on the mind and body, such as relaxation and blood flow promotion, by acting synergistically with the warming effect of bathing. As such, fragrances are essential ingredients for bath additives to achieve their important performance; however, when solid bath additives are stored, the volatilized fragrance components have corrosive properties that can affect certain materials, causing deformation or dissolution, which often poses limitations when selecting packaging containers for solid bath additives.

[0004] For this reason, solid bath additives have traditionally had to be packaged in bottles made primarily of resin that are resistant to fragrance ingredients. However, in recent years, with the growing interest in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), there is a demand to reduce the use of resin materials. Conventionally, resin materials were reduced by refilling solid bath additives sold as refillable bath additive products into the resin containers with lids that were originally purchased. However, the packaging of the refillable bath additive products had to be discarded, and refilling them was a hassle. In addition, it was necessary to purchase a resin container with a lid that used a large amount of resin at one time. Therefore, it is desirable to be able to reduce the amount of resin material used in the first purchase of the product and to eliminate the need for refilling. As such a package, flexible packaging with a resin fitting that can be repeatedly opened and closed is known. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0005] [Patent Document 1] JP 2013-253056 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0006] However, monoterpenes such as limonene, which are widely used as fragrance ingredients, are known to be highly corrosive to resins in particular. When these are included as fragrances in solid bath additives, if they are stored in soft packaging with a resin fitting made of polyethylene or polypropylene, the resin fitting will soften and deform, causing problems in opening and closing the fitting.

[0007] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a solid bath additive containing monoterpene that does not cause any trouble in opening and closing the resin fitting even when stored for a long period of time in a flexible package with a resin fitting. [Means for solving the problem]

[0008] The present invention has discovered that by setting the mass ratio of the monoterpene (C) to the non-volatile oily component (D) within a specific range, it is possible to use solid bath additives containing monoterpenes in flexible packaging with a resin fitting, thereby contributing to the achievement of the SDGs. The present invention includes, for example, the following [1] to [5]. [1] A solid bath additive comprising at least one selected from the group consisting of carbonates (A) and inorganic salts (B), a monoterpene (C) and a non-volatile oily component (D), wherein the mass ratio ((C) / (D)) of the monoterpene (C) to the non-volatile oily component (D) is 1.0 or less. [2] The solid bath additive according to [1], wherein the monoterpene (C) is at least one selected from the group consisting of limonene and citral, and the total content of the limonene and the citral is 0.05 to 0.90 mass% in 100 mass% of the solid bath additive. [3] The solid bath additive according to [1], which further contains an organic acid (E) and is a carbonated effervescent bath additive. [4] A bath additive product comprising the solid bath additive described in any one of [1] to [3] housed in a flexible package with a resin fitting. [5] The bath additive product described in [4], wherein the resin of the resin fitting in the flexible packaging with the resin fitting is at least one selected from the group consisting of polyethylene and polypropylene. Effect of the Invention

[0009] Although the solid bath additive of the present invention contains a monoterpene, even when stored for a long period of time in a flexible package with a resin fitting, there is no problem in opening and closing the resin fitting. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0010] The present invention relates to a solid bath additive comprising at least one selected from the group consisting of a carbonate salt (A) and an inorganic salt (B), a monoterpene (C) and a non-volatile oily component (D), wherein the mass ratio ((C) / (D)) of the monoterpene (C) to the non-volatile oily component (D) is 1.0 or less. The solid bath additive contains at least one selected from the group consisting of carbonate salt (A) and inorganic salt (B). In addition, when the solid bath additive is a carbonated effervescent bath additive, it is preferable that the solid bath additive further contains an organic acid (E).

[0011] <Carbonate (A)> Examples of carbonates include sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium sesquicarbonate, potassium carbonate, potassium bicarbonate, magnesium carbonate, ammonium carbonate, and calcium carbonate. These may be used alone or in combination of two or more. Among these, at least one selected from the group consisting of sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate is preferred from the viewpoint of availability, etc. When used in carbonated foaming bath additives, it is more preferred to use sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate in combination in order to achieve both good carbonated foaming and formulation stability.

[0012] <Inorganic salts (B)> Examples of inorganic salts include sodium sulfate, magnesium sulfate, magnesium sulfate trihydrate, magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, sodium chloride, ammonium chloride, sodium nitrate, potassium nitrate, calcium nitrate, sodium polyphosphate, sodium phosphate, sodium iron sulfate phosphate, calcium oxide, magnesium oxide, aluminum sulfate, sodium thiosulfate, potassium chloride, potassium sulfide, alum, metasilicic acid, anhydrous silicic acid, calcium silicate, etc. These may be used alone or in combination of two or more. Among these, from the viewpoint of ease of availability, etc., sodium sulfate, magnesium sulfate, sodium chloride, magnesium sulfate trihydrate, magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, calcium oxide, magnesium oxide, potassium chloride, alum, anhydrous silicic acid, and calcium silicate are preferred.

[0013] <Organic acid (E)> Examples of organic acids include those that are solid at room temperature (25°C), such as malic acid, fumaric acid, succinic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid, malonic acid, pyrrolidone carboxylic acid, monosodium citrate, monosodium succinate, monosodium fumarate, adipic acid, tartaric acid, benzoic acid, salicylic acid, glutaric acid, glycolic acid, lactic acid, glyceric acid, pyruvic acid, and the like. These may be used alone or in combination of two or more. When forming into granules, briquettes, or tablets, among these, at least one selected from the group consisting of malic acid, fumaric acid, and succinic acid is preferred, and it is more preferred to use two or more selected from malic acid, fumaric acid, and succinic acid in combination. There is no particular limitation on the stereoisomer of malic acid, and any may be used.

[0014] <Non-foaming bath additives and carbonated foaming bath additives> In the case where the solid bath agent is a non-foaming bath agent, it does not contain an organic acid (E) but contains at least one selected from the group consisting of carbonate (A) and inorganic salt (B) as a main agent. That is, there are embodiments containing carbonate (A), inorganic salt (B), and carbonate (A) and inorganic salt (B). In 100% by mass of the solid bath agent which is a non-foaming bath agent, at least one selected from the group consisting of carbonate (A) and inorganic salt (B) is preferably 75% by mass or more, more preferably 90% by mass or more, and even more preferably 95% by mass or more. When it is in the above range, the heat retention effect and cleaning effect of the bath agent derived from carbonate (A) and inorganic salt (B) are fully exhibited.

[0015] When the solid bath agent is a carbonated effervescent bath agent, it contains carbonate (A) and organic acid (E) as main ingredients, and may further contain an inorganic salt (B) as an optional ingredient. In 100% by mass of the solid bath agent that is a carbonated effervescent bath agent, the carbonate (A) is preferably 20.0 to 70.0% by mass, more preferably 30.0 to 65.0% by mass, and even more preferably 40.0 to 60.0% by mass. When the amount of carbonate is within the above range, a sufficient amount of carbon dioxide gas is obtained, and the warm bath effect is not reduced. In addition, since the content is not too large, the storage stability is good.

[0016] The content of the organic acid (E) in 100% by mass of the carbonated effervescent bath agent is preferably 15.0 to 65.0% by mass, more preferably 20.0 to 55.0% by mass, and even more preferably 25.0 to 50.0% by mass. When the amount of the organic acid is within the above range, a sufficient amount of carbon dioxide gas is obtained and the hot bath effect is not reduced. In addition, since the content is not too large, the storage stability is good, and in the manufacturing process, adhesion or leakage is unlikely to occur during compression molding when forming a briquette agent or tablet, and good molding characteristics are obtained. Furthermore, it is preferable because there is no problem of generation of insoluble matter during use. In this specification, a carbonated effervescent bath additive refers to a bath additive that effervesces and releases carbon dioxide when dissolved in water.

[0017] The solid bath additive may be a combination of a carbonated effervescent bath additive and a non-effervescent bath additive. In this case, the weight ratio of the carbonated effervescent bath agent to the non-effervescent bath agent is not particularly limited, but in order to obtain a high bathing effect with a good fragrance, it is preferably 5:95 or more, more preferably 10:90 or more, and even more preferably 20:80 or more.

[0018] <Monoterpene (C)> The solid bath additive contains a monoterpene (C). The monoterpene is not particularly limited, but examples thereof include monoterpene hydrocarbons such as limonene and pinene, and monoterpene alcohols such as citral and geraniol. Among these, citral and limonene are particularly erosive to resin materials. These monoterpenes may be a single component or a combination of two or more types.

[0019] The citral may be used alone or as an essential oil and / or extract of lemongrass, melissa (lemon balm), lemon verbena, orange sweet, grapefruit, yuzu, lemon, etc., which contain citral.

[0020] Limonene may be used alone or as an essential oil and / or extract containing limonene, such as mandarin, celery seed, dill, bergamot, fennel, angelica root, neroli, frankincense, myrtle, Eucalyptus radiata, citronella, niaouli cineole, Eucalyptus globulus, cajeput, cypress, marjoram, rosewood, lemongrass, lemon verbena, orange sweet, grapefruit, yuzu, lemon, etc.

[0021] The formulation of monoterpenes in solid bath additives is not particularly limited, but they can be added to the solid bath additives as a single component or a combination of two or more components, contained in essential oils or extracts, mixed with other oily components, or as a component contained in a fragrance.

[0022] When a solid bath additive is stored in a flexible package with a resin fitting for a certain period of time, the degree of deformation of the resin fitting varies depending on the type and content of the monoterpene, but from the viewpoint of suppressing deformation of the resin fitting while obtaining a sufficient fragrance as a bath additive, the content of the monoterpene (C) in 100% by mass of the solid bath additive is preferably 0.05 to 3.00% by mass, more preferably 0.05 to 2.00% by mass, and even more preferably 0.05 to 1.00% by mass. For example, when at least one selected from the group consisting of limonene and citral is used as the monoterpene (C), the total content of limonene and citral in 100% by mass of the solid bath additive is preferably 0.05 to 0.90% by mass, more preferably 0.05 to 0.70% by mass. Also, from the viewpoint of preventing deformation of the resin fitting, for example, in the case of limonene, it is preferable that the content be 0.50 mass% or less in 100 mass% of the solid bath additive, and in the case of citral, it is preferable that the content be 0.10 mass% or less in 100 mass% of the solid bath additive, and more preferably 0.09 mass% or less.

[0023] <Non-volatile oily components (D)> The solid bath additive contains a non-volatile oily component (D). The non-volatile oily component refers to an oily component that does not volatilize at room temperature (25°C) and atmospheric pressure (760mmHg). From the viewpoint of suppressing deformation of the resin fitting body due to monoterpene, the type of non-volatile oily component is not particularly limited, but examples thereof include ester oils such as ethylhexyl palmitate (IOP) and isopropyl palmitate (IPP), fatty acids such as oleic acid, linoleic acid, and palmitic acid, and vegetable oils containing these such as olive oil, soybean oil, and rice bran oil. From the viewpoint of ease of procurement and moldability, ethylhexyl palmitate (IOP), isopropyl palmitate (IPP), oleic acid, linoleic acid, palmitic acid, olive oil, soybean oil, and rice bran oil are preferred, soybean oil, ethylhexyl palmitate (IOP), and rice bran oil are more preferred, and soybean oil and rice bran oil are even more preferred.

[0024] The amount of the non-volatile oily component in the solid bath agent is preferably 0.01 to 5.00% by mass, more preferably 0.10 to 2.00% by mass, and even more preferably 0.20 to 1.00% by mass, based on 100% by mass of the solid bath agent. When the amount of the non-volatile oily component is within the above range, it is possible to exhibit a sufficient effect of suppressing deformation of the resin fitting body of the monoterpene, and since the amount of the non-volatile oily component is not too large, poor flowability and molding defects during the production of the solid bath agent are suppressed, and undesirable characteristics for a bath agent, such as odor or oil floating on the water surface when the bath agent is used, do not occur.

[0025] From the viewpoint of obtaining a sufficient effect in suppressing deformation of the resin fitting due to monoterpene, the mass ratio ((C) / (D)) of monoterpene (C) to non-volatile oily component (D) is 1.0 or less, and preferably 0.7 or less. If the mass ratio (C) / (D) exceeds the above range, deformation of the resin fitting is likely to occur. In the present invention, by setting the mass ratio of monoterpene (C) to non-volatile oily component (D) within the above range, deformation of the resin fitting can be prevented even when the solid bath additive contains a relatively high content of monoterpene.

[0026] <Other ingredients> The solid bath additive may optionally contain lubricants, nonionic surfactants, herbal medicines, water-soluble polymers, moisturizers, colorants, etc. These may be used alone or in combination of two or more.

In this specification, the particle size of the briquette-type bath agent means the major axis of the ellipse when the shape is an ellipse such as an almond shape, and means the longest diameter when the shape is a polygonal shape such as a pillow shape.

[0034] <Manufacturing method of solid bath additives> (Mixing) In manufacturing solid bath additives, first, the essential ingredients and optional ingredients added as necessary are mixed to prepare a powder or crystal mixture using a Henschel mixer, high-speed mixer, universal mixer, V-type mixer, SV mixer, vertical granulator, Ribocone mixer, etc. When manufacturing molded products such as granules, briquettes, or tablets, this mixture is further subjected to the molding process described below.

[0035] (molding process) The molded product can be produced by known methods such as compression molding such as tableting, briquetting, compacting, etc.; extrusion granulation; rolling granulation; stirring granulation; fluidized bed granulation, etc., or a combination of these. In the case of a briquetting agent, the mixture is then produced by a conventionally known production method. For example, the mixture is fed between the rolls of a briquetting machine and compressed and molded between two rolls rotating inwardly, to obtain a sheet-like primary compact in which a plurality of briquette particles based on the shape and size of pockets provided on the roll surfaces are molded into a sheet via joints, and the sheet-like primary compact is further crushed to obtain the briquetting agent.

The resin fitting body is also called a resin zipper. A preferred example of the soft packaging is a pouch.

[0037] Examples of materials for the soft packaging include paper, resin, aluminum, and multilayer films combining these, etc. In particular, from the viewpoints of moisture resistance, light shielding, and barrier properties, a multilayer film based on aluminum foil or aluminum vapor deposition film and laminated with a resin such as polyethylene is preferred.

[0038] Examples of materials for the resin fitting body include polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE). These may be used alone or in combination of two or more. From the viewpoints of the resistance of the resin fitting body to corrosion by monoterpenes, and the sealing property and ease of opening and closing, polypropylene is preferred.

[0039] The length of the resin fitting is not particularly limited, but from the viewpoints of ease of removal of the bath additive and suppressing moisture absorption and maintaining the quality of the solid bath additive, it is preferably 50 mm or more and 400 mm or less, more preferably 120 mm or more and 300 mm or less, and even more preferably 150 mm or more and 200 mm or less.
