[Technical field]
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a positioning guide device for a drilling device with a cooling fluid supply function and a drilling device assembly including the same. [Background technology]
[0002] Patent Document 1 discloses a positioning guide device for a drilling device with a cooling liquid supply function. The positioning guide device positions the drill bit of the drilling device while surrounding the target drilling location and guides it to the target drilling location. The positioning guide device has a through hole through which the drill bit passes with a gap, and a discharge flow path for discharging the cooling liquid discharged from the tip of the drill bit. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2021-160342 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] In the positioning guide device, the cooling liquid (suspension) discharged from the tip of the drill bit leaks down through the gap between the positioning guide device and the drill bit. Therefore, when performing drilling work with the cutting edge of the tip of the drill bit facing upward, the drilling device including the drive device that rotates the drill bit and the worker are covered with the leaked cooling liquid.
[0005] Therefore, the present disclosure aims to provide a positioning guide device for a drilling device with a coolant supply function that properly discharges coolant through a discharge flow path to prevent coolant from leaking, even when drilling is performed with the cutting edge of the tip of the drill bit facing upward. [Means for solving the problem]
[0006] A positioning guide device according to one aspect of the present disclosure is a positioning guide device that positions a drill bit of a drilling device while surrounding a portion to be drilled of a drilling target and guides the cutting edge of the tip of the drill bit to the portion to be drilled, the positioning guide having a front surface for abutting the surface surrounding the portion to be drilled of the drilling target, a back surface opposite the front surface, a through hole extending from the front surface to the back surface so as to face the portion to be drilled, and a discharge flow path extending from the inner surface defining the through hole to the outer surface so as to discharge cooling liquid discharged from the tip of the drill bit, and a water stop ring attached to the positioning guide to seal a gap between the positioning guide and the drill bit, wherein when viewed in the extension direction of the through hole, the inner space of the water stop ring is smaller than the through hole, and the water stop ring is positioned further from the front surface than an inlet of the discharge flow path facing the through hole.
[0007] According to one aspect of the present disclosure, even when drilling is performed with the cutting edge of the tip of the drill bit facing upward, the water stop ring seals the gap between the positioning guide and the drill bit, thereby preventing the coolant discharged from the tip of the drill bit from leaking out of the gap between the positioning guide device and the drill bit. Since the water stop ring is farther from the front surface of the positioning guide than the inlet of the discharge flow path, the coolant discharged from the tip of the drill bit accumulates in the through hole of the positioning guide and is smoothly discharged to the outside through the discharge flow path. Therefore, even when drilling is performed with the cutting edge of the drill bit facing upward, the coolant can be properly discharged through the discharge flow path to prevent the coolant from leaking out. [Figure 4]FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram showing a state in which a drilling operation is performed with the cutting edge of the drill bit facing upward. [Diagram 5] 5 is a cross-sectional view of the positioning guide device 3 and its surroundings in FIG. 4 taken along the line III-III in FIG. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0009] Hereinafter, an embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings. In the following description, the direction in which the rotation axis AX of the drill bit 10 extends is defined as the axial direction and the front-rear direction, and the vertical direction perpendicular thereto is defined as the up-down direction.
[0010] Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram showing a drilling device assembly 1 according to an embodiment. As shown in Fig. 1, the drilling device assembly 1 includes a drilling device 2, a positioning guide device 3 that positions a drill bit 10 while surrounding a drilling location WAa of a drilling target WA, and guides a cutting edge 13a of a tip portion 11 of the drill bit 10 to the drilling location WAa, and a tank 4 that is disposed below the drilling device 2 and the positioning guide device 3 and stores a coolant or suspension. The drilling device assembly 1 further includes a discharge tube 5 that connects the drilling device 2 to the tank 4, and a discharge tube 6 that connects the positioning guide device 3 to the tank 4.
[0011] The drilling device 2 has a drill bit 10, a drill driving device 20 including an electric motor 21 which is a prime mover for rotating the drill bit 10, a support structure 30 which connects the drill driving device 20 to the positioning guide device 3, and a coolant supply device 35 which supplies coolant to the tip 11 of the drill bit 10.
[0012] The tip 11 of the drill bit 10 has a blade portion 13 (see FIG. 3) including a cutting edge 13a. More specifically, the drill bit 10 has a shaft portion 12 (see FIG. 3) and a blade portion 13 joined to the shaft portion 12. In this embodiment, a plurality of blade portions 13 protrude from the tip surface of the shaft portion 12 and are arranged at intervals in the circumferential direction around the rotation axis AX. The blade portions 13 may be, for example, a metal-bonded diamond grinding wheel or a cemented carbide. The drill bit 10 is hollow and has an internal space S (see FIG. 3) extending along the rotation axis AX of the drill bit 10. The tip surface of the shaft portion 12 includes a liquid discharge port P (see FIG. 3) that opens the internal space S (see FIG. 3) to the tip side. The shape of the blade portion 13 is not particularly limited to this, and various shapes may be adopted. Depending on the type of the blade portion 13, the liquid discharge port P may be provided in an area of the tip surface of the blade portion 13 where the cutting edge 13a does not exist.
[0013] The drill driving device 20 has a reducer 22 adjacent to the electric motor 21 from the front side and connected to a drive shaft 21a of the electric motor 21, and a battery 23 connected to the electric motor 21 from below and supplies power to the electric motor 21. The drill driving device 20 further has a housing 24 that houses the electric motor 21, the reducer 22, the battery 23, a tube pump 36 described later, and a reducer 37 described later, and an operation unit 25 that drives the electric motor 21 when pressed by an operator. The rotational speed of the power from the electric motor 21 is reduced by the reducer 22 and transmitted to the drill bit 10.
[0014] The support structure 30 includes a coolant supply unit 38 which is also a part of the coolant supply device 35, and a pair of support rods 31 extending parallel to the axial direction from the front surface of the coolant supply unit 38. In FIG. 1, only one of the pair of support rods 31 is visible, and the other support rod 31 is hidden by the other support rod 31 and is not visible. Each of the pair of support rods 31 is extendable and retractable in the axial direction. The drill driving device 20 is connected to the positioning guide device 3 by the coolant supply unit 38 and the pair of support rods 31.
[0015] The coolant supply device 35 includes a tube pump 36 driven by the electric motor 21, a reducer 37 connected to the tube pump 36 from the rear, and a coolant supply unit 38 provided in front of the tube pump 36 and behind the drill bit 10. The rotation speed of the power from the electric motor 21 is reduced by the reducer 22 of the drill driving device 20 and the reducer 37 of the coolant supply device 35, and is transmitted to the tube pump 36. Note that the reducer 37 may be structured to be adjacent to the tube pump 36 from the front.
[0016] One end of the discharge tube 5 is connected to the tank 4, and the other end is connected to the coolant supply unit 38 of the drilling device 2. The discharge tube 5 includes an upstream discharge portion where the coolant flows from the tank 4 to the tube pump 36, a midstream discharge portion which is also part of the tube pump 36, and a downstream discharge portion where the coolant flows from the tube pump 36 to the coolant supply unit 38.
[0017] A supply flow path for the coolant is provided inside the coolant supply unit 38. The internal space S (see FIG. 3) of the drill bit 10 is open at its base end and at the tip end 11. That is, the tip end 11 of the drill bit 10 has a liquid discharge port P that opens the internal space S toward the drilling target WA. The internal space S of the drill bit 10 is connected to the supply flow path of the coolant supply unit 38. When the tube pump 36 is driven, the tube pump 36 sucks the coolant in the tank 4 through the upstream discharge portion and discharges the coolant to the coolant supply unit 38 through the downstream discharge portion, and the coolant is pumped from the coolant supply unit 38 to the tip end 11 of the drill bit 10.
[0018] When the front surface 51 (see FIG. 3) of the positioning guide device 3 is pressed against the drilling target WA with the area WAa to be drilled of the drilling target WA positioned inside the through hole 41 of the positioning guide device 3 as viewed from the front-rear direction, the pair of support rods 31 each contract from their tip side to their base side. This causes the positioning guide device 3 to move rearward, and the cutting edge 13a of the drill bit 10 passes through the through hole 41 of the positioning guide device 3 and is pressed against the area WAa to be drilled.
[0019] At this time, if the operator presses down the operating part 25, the tube pump 36 is driven by the electric motor 21 and the drill bit 10 is rotated, so that the drilling operation can be performed on the drilled area WAa while discharging the cooling liquid from the liquid discharge port P of the tip 11 of the drill bit 10. By performing the drilling operation in this manner, the heat generation of the drill bit 10 and the drilled area WAa can be suppressed by the cooling liquid. After being discharged from the tip 11 of the drill bit 10, the cooling liquid is mixed with the cuttings C generated during drilling of the drilled area WAa to form a suspension. The cooling liquid is usually water, but may be other liquids with low viscosity. When the drilling target WA is an iron plate, the cooling liquid may be oil with low viscosity.
[0020] One end of the discharge tube 6 is connected to the discharge flow path 56 of the positioning guide device 3, and the other end is connected to the tank 4. The discharge tube 6 includes an upstream discharge portion through which the suspension flows from the positioning guide device 3 toward the tube pump 36, a midstream discharge portion which is also part of the tube pump 36, and a downstream discharge portion through which the suspension flows from the tube pump 36 toward the tank 4.
[0021] By driving the tube pump 36, the tube pump 36 sucks the suspension through the discharge flow path 56 of the positioning guide device 3 and the upstream discharge portion of the discharge tube 6, and then pumps the suspension through the downstream discharge portion to the tank 4. Note that the discharge tube 6 may be led directly to the tank 4 without passing through the tube pump 36.
[0022] A float 90 floating on the surface of the suspension and a strainer 91 attached to the float 90 for separating chips C from the suspension are provided in the tank 4. The float 90 and the strainer 91 are attached to the upstream end of the discharge upstream portion of the discharge tube 5.
[0023] When the suspension is discharged from the discharge tube 6 into the tank 4, the chips C from the suspension settle in the tank 4 due to their own weight. The chips C are further separated from the suspension by a strainer 91 floating on the surface of the suspension. The cooling liquid obtained by separating the chips C from the suspension in this manner is supplied again to the tip 11 of the drill bit 10 via the discharge tube 5 and the cooling liquid supply unit 38. With the above-mentioned configuration, the drilling device assembly 1 can be used repeatedly by circulating the cooling liquid.
[0024] Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along line II-II in Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view taken along line III-III in Fig. 2. As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the positioning guide device 3 includes a positioning guide 40 and a first water stop ring 80 (water stop ring) attached to the positioning guide 40 so as to seal a gap between the positioning guide 40 and the drill bit 10. The positioning guide 40 has a through hole 41 through which the drill bit 10 is inserted. The extending direction of the through hole 41 of the positioning guide 40 coincides with the axial direction and the extending direction of an insertion space 55 of the guide body 50, which will be described later. Hereinafter, the extending direction of the through hole 41 is also referred to as an extending direction AX.
[0025] The positioning guide 40 has a metal guide body 50, a metal bush 60 fitted into the insertion space 55 of the guide body 50, a second water stop ring 70 interposed between the guide body 50 and the bush 60, a stopper 71 that prevents the first water stop ring 80 from slipping out of the bush 60, and multiple (e.g., two) fixing devices 72 that fix the bush 60 to the guide body 50.
[0026] The guide body 50 has a front surface 51 for contacting the surface surrounding the area to be drilled WAa (see FIG. 1) of the drilling target WA (see FIG. 1), a back surface 52 opposite the front surface 51, an insertion space 55 extending from the front surface 51 to the back surface 52 so as to face the area to be drilled WAa, a discharge flow passage 56 for discharging the cooling liquid discharged from the tip portion 11 of the drill bit 10, and a plurality of (e.g., two) fixing holes 58 extending from the outer surface to the inner surface. The guide body 50 further has a pair of support holes 59 into which the pair of support rods 31 are inserted.
[0027] The guide body 50 may have a body 50a made of hard resin and a ring-shaped seal member 50b fixed or engaged to the front surface of the body 50a. In this case, the front surface of the seal member 50b becomes the front surface of the guide body 50. The material of the seal member 50b may be any flexible material capable of sealing the gap between the surface of the drilling target WA and the guide body 50, and may be selected from, for example, sponge, silicone, rubber, etc. The guide body 50 may not have the seal member 50b. In that case, the front surface of the body 50a becomes the front surface of the guide body 50.
[0028] The back surface 52 of the guide body 50 has a step 52a recessed toward the front surface 51 at the inner peripheral portion adjacent to the insertion space 55. The insertion space 55 of the guide body 50 has a perfect circular shape when viewed from the extending direction. In this embodiment, the extending direction of the insertion space 55 means the axial direction of the insertion space 55. The guide body 50 has an inner peripheral surface that defines the insertion space 55. The inner peripheral surface of the guide body 50 includes an exposed area 54 exposed from the bush 60. The multiple fixing holes 58 of the guide body 50 are each provided on a straight line that passes through the central axis of the cylindrical portion 62 of the bush 60 and extends in the radial direction of the cylindrical portion 62 when viewed from the extending direction of the insertion space 55. These fixing holes 58 each extend from the outer surface to the inner surface of the guide body 50 along the straight line.
[0029] In this embodiment, the front surface 51 of the guide body 50 is also the front surface of the positioning guide 40, and the back surface 52 of the guide body 50 is also the back surface of the positioning guide 40. The positioning guide 40 has a through hole 41 extending from the front surface 51 to the back surface 52 so as to face the drilling location WAa. The through hole 41 includes a portion of the insertion space 55 of the guide body 50 that is defined by an exposed region 54 of the inner peripheral surface of the guide body 50, and an insertion hole 61 of the bush 60, which will be described later. The discharge flow path 56 extends from the inner surface that defines the through hole 41 to the outer surface.
[0030] The bush 60 is disposed farther from the front surface 51 of the guide body 50 than the inlet 56a of the discharge flow passage 56 facing the through hole 41. The bush 60 has an insertion hole 61 extending in the axial direction thereof. The bush 60 is shorter than the guide body 50 in the extending direction AX of the through hole 41 of the positioning guide 40.
[0031] The bush 60 has a cylindrical portion 62, a stopper protrusion 63 that protrudes radially inward from the tip of the cylindrical portion 62 at a position closer to the front surface 51 of the guide body 50 than the first water stop ring 80, an annular groove portion 64 that extends circumferentially by recessing the inner surface of the cylindrical portion 62 radially outward at a position farther from the front surface 51 of the positioning guide 40 than the first water stop ring 80, and a flange portion 65 that protrudes radially outward from the cylindrical portion 62 at a position farther from the front surface 51 than the annular groove portion 64.
[0032] The cylindrical portion 62 has a tip surface 62a facing the drilling target WA (see FIG. 1). The tip surface 62a has a tapered portion 62b in its outer circumferential region that is inclined in a direction away from the front surface 51 of the guide body 50. The flange portion 65 abuts against the back surface 52 of the guide body 50.
[0033] The second water stop ring 70 is disposed on the step 52a of the back surface 52 of the guide body 50 so as to contact the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical portion 62 of the bush 60. The second water stop ring 70 is disposed between the step 52a and the flange portion 65 of the bush 60 in the extending direction AX of the through hole 41. The multiple fixing holes 58 of the guide body 50 extend from the outer surface to the inner surface at positions that avoid the second water stop ring 70. The material of the second water stop ring 70 is fluororubber.
[0034] The retaining device 71 is fitted into the annular groove 64 of the bush 60, thereby sandwiching the first water stop ring 80 between the retaining protrusion 63. The retaining device 71 is, for example, a C-ring.
[0035] Each of the multiple fasteners 72 is a bolt or screw including a head and a shaft. The shafts of the multiple fasteners 72 are inserted into the fixing holes 58. As a result, each of the multiple fasteners 72 presses the cylindrical portion 62 of the bush 60 toward the central axis of the cylindrical portion 62. As a result, the bush 60 is fixed to the guide body 50.
[0036] The first water stop ring 80 is fitted to the inner peripheral surface of the bush 60 so as to seal the gap between the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion 62 of the bush 60 and the drill bit 10. The first water stop ring 80 is disposed farther from the front surface 51 of the guide body 50 than the inlet 56a of the discharge flow passage 56 facing the through hole 41. The inner space of the first water stop ring 80 is smaller than the through hole 41 when viewed from the extending direction AX of the through hole 41. The inner space is a perfect circle when viewed from the extending direction AX of the through hole 41. The material of the first water stop ring 80 is fluororubber, the same as that of the second water stop ring 70.
[0037] FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram showing a state where drilling work is performed with the cutting edge 13a of the drill bit 10 facing upward. FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of the positioning guide device 3 and its surroundings in FIG. 4 cut at a location corresponding to line III-III in FIG. 2. In FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, the drilling target WB is, for example, a ceiling, and the arrows in the discharge tube 5, the coolant supply unit 38, and the drill bit 10 indicate the direction in which the coolant flows, and the arrows in the discharge flow path 56 and the discharge tube 6 indicate the direction in which the suspension flows. As shown in FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, the tube pump 36 (see FIG. 1) causes the coolant in the tank 4 (see FIG. 1) to flow mainly upward through the discharge tube 5, the coolant supply unit 38, and the drill bit 10, and is pumped to the tip 11 of the drill bit 10. The suspension discharged from the liquid discharge port P of the tip 11 of the drill bit 10 and mixed with the cutting chips C flows mainly downward through the discharge flow path 56 and the discharge tube 6, and is led to the tank 4.
[0038] According to the above-described configuration, as shown in Figs. 4 and 5, even when drilling is performed with the cutting edge 13a of the drill bit 10 facing upward, the first water stop ring 80 (water stop ring) seals the gap between the positioning guide 40 and the drill bit 10, thereby preventing the coolant discharged from the tip 11 of the drill bit 10 from leaking down from the gap between the positioning guide device 3 and the drill bit 10. Since the first water stop ring 80 is farther from the front surface 51 of the guide body 50 than the inlet 56a of the discharge flow path 56, the coolant discharged from the tip 11 of the drill bit 10 accumulates in the through hole 41 of the positioning guide 40 and is smoothly discharged to the outside through the discharge flow path 56. Therefore, even when drilling is performed with the cutting edge 13a of the drill bit 10 facing upward, the coolant can be properly discharged through the discharge flow path 56 to prevent the coolant from leaking down.
[0039] Since the positioning guide 40 has the metallic bush 60, it can stably support the first waterstop ring 80. Moreover, since the positioning guide 40 has the guide body 50 in addition to the bush 60, it is possible to favorably maintain the degree of freedom in the shape of the positioning guide 40 and to suppress an increase in the weight of the positioning guide 40.
[0040] Since the bushing 60 is shorter than the guide body 50 in the extending direction AX of the through hole 41 of the positioning guide 40, an increase in the weight of the positioning guide 40 can be suppressed.
[0041] Since the bush 60 is positioned farther from the front surface 51 of the guide body 50 than the inlet 56a of the discharge passage 56, the cooling liquid discharged from the tip 11 of the drill bit 10 is smoothly discharged to the outside through the discharge passage 56 without being obstructed by the bush 60.
[0042] Since the tip surface 62a of the bush 60 has the tapered portion 62b, the cooling liquid that is splashed radially outward in the through hole 41 of the positioning guide 40 by the rotation of the drill bit 10 is captured in the outer peripheral space formed by the tapered portion 62b of the bush 60. Therefore, the cooling liquid is less likely to reach the gap between the positioning guide 40 and the drill bit 10, and the cooling liquid is more likely to reach the discharge flow passage 56.
[0043] The positioning guide 40 is fitted into the annular groove 64 and has the retaining tool 71 that holds the first waterstop ring 80 between itself and the retaining protrusion 63, which facilitates the attachment and detachment of the first waterstop ring 80 to and from the bush 60. This makes it easy to replace the first waterstop ring 80 during maintenance.
[0044] The second water stop ring 70 is disposed between the step 52a of the guide body 50 and the flange portion 65 of the bush 60 in the extending direction of the through hole 41 of the positioning guide 40. This allows the guide body 50 to be shorter in the extending direction of the through hole 41 in terms of strength, compared to a case in which an annular groove for fitting the second water stop ring 70 is formed on the inner circumferential surface of the guide body 50. This allows the effective length of the drill bit 10 to be longer.
[0045] Since the positioning guide 40 has a fastener 72 that is inserted into the fixing hole 58 of the guide body 50 to fasten the bush 60, the bush 60 can be easily fixed from outside the guide body 50 after the bush 60 is assembled to the guide body 50.
[0046] Since the first water stop ring 80 contains fluororubber, the durability of the first water stop ring 80 that comes into contact with the rotating drill bit 10 can be improved.
[0047] The technology of the present disclosure is not limited to the above-mentioned configuration. For example, in the above embodiment, the guide body 50 and the bush 60 are separate members. However, the present disclosure is not limited to this case, and the guide body 50 and the bush 60 may be one piece, i.e., a single piece. In such a case, the one piece may be a metal body.
[0048] In the above embodiment, the guide body 50 is made of metal. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the guide body 50 may be made of, for example, resin, or may be made of a material other than metal or resin.
[0049] In the above embodiment, the case where the retaining device 71 is a C-ring has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to this case, and the retaining device 71 may be any other known device other than a C-ring as long as it can prevent the first waterstop ring 80 from coming off. Alternatively, a retaining device such as a C-ring may be eliminated, and the first waterstop ring 80 may be press-fitted into the bush 60.
[0050] In the above embodiment, the insertion space 55 of the guide body 50 has a perfect circular shape when viewed from the extending direction AX. However, the present invention is not limited to this case, and the insertion space 55 of the guide body 50 may have other shapes, such as an ellipse or a rectangle.
[0051] In the above embodiment, the case where the material of the first waterstop ring 80 is fluororubber has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to this case, and the material of the first waterstop ring 80 may be other elastic materials such as EPDM rubber, nitrile rubber, or urethane.
[0052] In the above embodiment, the case has been described where the bush 60 is disposed farther from the front surface 51 of the guide body 50 than the inlet 56a of the discharge flow passage 56 facing the through hole 41. However, this is not limited to this case, and for example, the tip surface 62a of the bush 60 may be disposed closer to the front surface 51 of the guide body 50 than the inlet 56a of the discharge flow passage 56, and the bush 60 may have a communication hole that communicates the through hole 41 of the positioning guide 40 with the discharge flow passage 56.
[0053] In the above embodiment, the material of the first waterstop ring 80 is fluororubber, the same as that of the second waterstop ring 70. However, the present invention is not limited to this case, and the material of the first waterstop ring 80 may be rubber that is more abrasion resistant than the material of the second waterstop ring 70. This can improve the durability of the first waterstop ring 80 that comes into contact with the drill bit 10.
