DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0019] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of an implant delivery device according to the present disclosure will now be illustrated and described with reference to the drawings, in which like reference numerals denote like components throughout the drawings.
[0020] 1 is a diagram showing a medical instrument set 100. The medical instrument set 100 includes an implant delivery instrument 1 as one embodiment of an implant delivery instrument according to the present disclosure, and an implantation device 2 to be used together with the implant delivery instrument 1.
[0021] The transplant transport instrument 1 is used for transporting a transplant, such as a cell sheet, to an intensive care unit or the like where the transplant is performed. The transplant device 2 is used in a procedure for transplanting the transplant into a living body in the intensive care unit or the like where the transplant is performed.
[0022] The transplant is not particularly limited as long as it is transplanted into a living body. The transplant may be, for example, tissue made of a biological material; cell culture; or various materials such as plastic, paper, woven fabric, nonwoven fabric, metal, polymer, lipid, etc. When the transplant contains cells, the cells constituting the transplant include, for example, somatic stem cells (adult stem cells), or differentiated cells derived from ES cells (embryonic stem cells) or iPS cells (induced pluripotent stem cells). Examples of somatic stem cells include mesenchymal stem cells, vascular endothelial cells (endothelial stem / progenitor cells), and skeletal myoblasts (including myoblast cells. Examples of differentiated cells include cardiomyocytes, fibroblast cells, etc.). In addition, the cells may include, for example, cell lines and genetically-modified cells. The transplant X exemplified in this embodiment (see Figs. 2, 3, etc.) is a thin sheet-like material, but the shape of the transplant is not particularly limited. The transplant X may be, for example, a cell mass, an organoid, etc. However, as will be described in detail later, the transplant transport instrument 1 is particularly useful for transporting a fragile sheet-like material such as the transplant X that is easily deformed or damaged, and for transferring the sheet-like material to the transplant device 2.
[0023] First, the transplant device 2 will be described with reference to Fig. 1 to Fig. 3. Fig. 2 is a perspective view showing the transplant device 2. Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view at the position of the support 10 of the transplant device 2. Figs. 2 and 3 show a state in which a transplant plant X is supported by the support 10 of the transplant device 2.
[0024] The transplant device 2 is configured to deliver an implant X to a target site in a living body and to be releasable at the target site. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the transplant device 2 includes a support 10 and a gripping portion 40.
[0025] The support 10 can support the implant X. The support 10 also has a connection part 13a that can be connected to the grip part 40. The support 10 can be attached to and detached from the grip part 40 via the connection part 13a. FIG. 1 shows a state in which the support 10 is separated from the grip part 40. FIG. 2 shows a state in which the support 10 is connected to the grip part 40.
[0026] As shown in FIG. 1, the support 10 is part of an implant device 2 and is part of an implant delivery instrument 1 .
[0027] The grip portion 40 is a handle that can be held by a medical professional. The grip portion 40 can be connected to the connection portion 13a of the support 10.
[0028] According to the transplantation device 2, by grasping and operating the gripping portion 40, the support 10 on which the graft X is supported can be moved to a target site in the living body. This allows the graft X to be delivered to the target site in the living body. Furthermore, by operating the gripping portion 40, the graft X can be released from the support 10 at the target site in the living body. In this way, by using the transplantation device 2, the graft X can be transplanted to a target site in the living body.
[0029] Next, the support body 10 and the gripping portion 40 of this embodiment will be described in detail.
[0030] The support body 10 of this embodiment includes a plate-shaped support body portion 11, an upright wall portion 12, and a protrusion portion 13.
[0031] The support body 11 has a support surface 11a capable of supporting the implant X, and a bottom surface 11b opposite to the support surface 11a. The support surface 11a is a surface on one side in the thickness direction of the support body 11. The bottom surface 11b is a surface on the other side in the thickness direction of the support body 11.
[0032] 1 to 3, the support body 11 of the present embodiment has a rectangular plate-like outer shape, but is not limited to this shape. The support body 11 may have another outer shape, such as a circular plate shape or an elliptical plate shape.
[0033] The support surface 11a of the support body 11 is a surface that can support the implant X while maintaining its shape. In addition, the support body 11 may have flexibility and moderate softness. If the implant X is a sheet-like object, such a support body 11 can be curved while supporting the sheet-like object as the implant X. Therefore, the support body 11 supporting the implant X can be rolled up and stored, for example, inside a cylindrical body. In addition, the support body 11 that is rolled up and stored inside the cylindrical body can be exposed from the cylindrical body and deployed into a flat plate shape by the restoring force.
[0034] The material of the support body 11 is not particularly limited. Examples of the material of the support body 11 include metal, soft polyvinyl chloride resin, polyurethane resin, silicone rubber, natural rubber, synthetic rubber, styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene copolymer (SEBS), styrene-ethylene-propylene-styrene copolymer (SEPS), ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), polyamide resin and polyamide elastomer such as nylon, polyester resin and polyester elastomer such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET), olefin resin such as polyethylene, fluororubber, fluororesin, etc. The support body 11 may be formed by combining one or more of these materials.
[0035] 1 to 3, the upright wall portion 12 rises from the support surface 11a of the support main body portion 11. Providing such upright wall portion 12 can prevent disturbances on the water surface of the liquid 200 (see FIG. 6) contained in the transplant delivery device 1 from acting on the transplant X supported on the support surface 11a in the transplant delivery device 1. This will be described in detail later (see FIGS. 6 to 8).
[0036] More specifically, the support 10 of this embodiment includes two upright walls 12. The two upright walls 12 rise from two opposing locations on the outer edge of the support body 11 and are disposed opposite each other. As shown in FIG. 3, the implant X is supported on the support surface 11a of the support body 11 between the two opposing upright walls 12.
[0037] 1 to 3, the two upright walls 12 rise from both sides of the width direction B of the support body part 11. Here, the width direction B of the support body part 11 means, among the in-plane directions of the plate-shaped support body part 11, a direction perpendicular to the distal-proximal direction A of the implantation device 2.
[0038] In addition, the support 10 of this embodiment does not have upright walls rising from the distal end 11c and the proximal end 11d of the support body 11. That is, as shown in Figs. 1 to 3, the support body 11 and the two upright walls 12 of this embodiment form a groove that opens on the distal side and the proximal side. As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the implant X is supported on the bottom surface of this groove. Therefore, the implant X supported on the support surface 11a of the support body 11 can be released from the distal side from above the support surface 11a of the support body 11, that is, from the distal opening of the above-mentioned groove, at a target site in the living body.
[0039] In the present embodiment, the standing wall portion 12 is formed integrally with the support body portion 11, but is not limited to this configuration. The standing wall portion 12 may be formed separately from the support body portion 11 and attached to the support body portion 11 by, for example, adhesion, welding, or the like.
[0040] The protrusion 13 protrudes from the support body 11. A connection portion 13a for connecting with the grip portion 40 of the support 10 is provided on the protrusion 13. More specifically, the protrusion 13 in this embodiment protrudes from the proximal end portion 11d of the support body 11. In other words, the base end portion of the protrusion 13 is connected to the proximal end portion 11d of the support body 11. In addition, a connection portion 13a that can be connected with the grip portion 40 is provided on the tip portion of the protrusion 13.
[0041] The protrusion 13 of this embodiment has a connection recess 14 as a connection part 13a that opens on the tip surface 13b. The support 10 of this embodiment can be connected to the grip part 40 by fitting a connection protrusion 41 of the grip part 40, which will be described later, into the connection recess 14. However, the connection part 13a is not particularly limited as long as it is configured to be connectable to the grip part 40. The connection part 13a may be configured to be fitted into the grip part 40, for example. Furthermore, the connection part 13a of the protrusion 13 and the grip part 40 may be configured such that one of them is provided with a claw part and the other is provided with a claw receiving part that engages with the claw part. In other words, the connection between the support 10 and the grip part 40 may be a connection by friction fitting by fitting inside or outside, or a connection using a lock mechanism including a claw part and a claw receiving part.
[0042] The protruding portion 13 may be configured to have flexibility, that is, the protruding portion 13 may be configured to be capable of being bent and deformed.
[0043] In the present embodiment, the protruding portion 13 is formed integrally with the support body portion 11, but is not limited to this configuration. The protruding portion 13 may be formed separately from the support body portion 11 and attached to the support body portion 11 by, for example, adhesion, welding, or the like.
[0044] In the present embodiment, the support 10 is provided with the connection portion 13a on the protrusion 13, but is not limited to this configuration. For example, the support 10 may be configured not to include the protrusion 13, and the connection portion may be provided on the support main body 11. However, from the viewpoint of ease of the connection operation with the gripping part 40, it is preferable that the support 10 includes the protrusion 13 with the connection portion 13a provided thereon separately from the support main body 11.
[0045] The gripping portion 40 is a long rod-shaped shaft. The gripping portion 40 has a connection protrusion 41 on the distal end surface 40a. As described above, the connection protrusion 41 of the gripping portion 40 can be fitted into the connection recess 14 serving as the connection portion 13a of the support 10. Note that the portion of the gripping portion 40 that is connected to the connection portion 13a of the support 10 may be appropriately designed in accordance with the configuration of the connection portion 13a of the support 10, and is not limited to the connection protrusion 41 of this embodiment.
[0046] Next, the transplant transport instrument 1 will be described with reference to Fig. 1 and Fig. 4 to Fig. 8. Fig. 4 and Fig. 5 are views showing the transplant transport instrument 1. As shown in Fig. 4 and Fig. 5, the transplant transport instrument 1 includes a support 10 and a holder 20. Fig. 4 is a view showing a state in which the support 10 and the holder 20 are separated. Fig. 5 is a view showing a state in which the support 10 is held by the holder 20. Fig. 5 also shows the transplant X before being supported by the support 10. Fig. 6 is a view explaining a state in which the transplant X is transported by the transplant transport instrument 1. Figs. 7 and 8 are views showing a process in which the transplant X is transferred from the transplant transport instrument 1 to a transplant device 2 for transplantation after being transported by the transplant transport instrument 1.
[0047] As described above, the support 10 is a part of the implant device 2 and also a part of the implant delivery instrument 1. The details of the support 10 have been described above, and therefore will not be described here.
[0048] 5, the holder 20 is capable of holding the support body 10. Specifically, the holder 20 has a fitting recess 21 into which the support body 10 can be fitted. The support body 10 is fitted into the fitting recess 21, whereby the holder 20 is capable of holding the support body 10.
[0049] 7, the connection portion 13a of the support 10 is connectable to the gripping portion 40 of the transplant device 2 in a state in which the support 10 is fitted into the fitting recess 21 of the holder 20. In other words, the support 10 is configured to be connectable to the gripping portion 40 of the transplant device 2 while maintaining a state in which it is fitted into and held in the fitting recess 21 of the holder 20.
[0050] Then, as shown in FIG. 8, the support 10 to which the gripping portion 40 is connected is removed from the fitting recess 21 of the holder 20, thereby completing the transfer of the implant X from the implant delivery instrument 1 to the implant device 2.
[0051] That is, according to the transplant transport instrument 1, the transplant X can be transferred from the transplant transport instrument 1 to the transplant device 2 by connecting the gripping part 40 to the support 10 held by the holder 20 and removing the support 10 from the holder 20, without moving the transplant X itself from the transplant transport instrument 1 to the transplant device 2. When the gripping part 40 is connected to the support 10, the support 10 is fitted and held in the fitting recess 21 of the holder 20, so that it is possible to suppress the application of an unintended external force to the transplant X supported by the support 10. In addition, by operating the gripping part 40 connected to the support 10, the support 10 can be easily removed from the fitting recess 21 of the holder 20. Therefore, it is possible to suppress the application of an unintended external force to the transplant X supported by the support 10 when removing the support 10 from the fitting recess 21 of the holder 20. In this way, according to the transplant delivery instrument 1, the transfer of the implant X from the transplant delivery instrument 1 to the transplant device 2 can be easily performed while suppressing the external force acting on the implant X.
[0052] As described above, the characteristics and shape of the implant X transported by the implant delivery device 1 are not particularly limited, but it is particularly advantageous that the implant X transported by the implant delivery device 1 is a sheet-like material. A sheet-like material as the implant X is prone to losing its shape, deformation, damage, etc., due to external forces such as vibration and impact. In contrast, the implant delivery device 1 can suppress deformation, damage, etc. of the sheet-like material even if the implant X is a fragile sheet-like material.
[0053] The holder 20 of the implant delivery device 1 of this embodiment will now be described in detail.
[0054] 4 to 8, the holder 20 of the present embodiment includes an accommodating recess 22 capable of accommodating the support 10. The fitting recess 21 is formed in a bottom surface 22a of the accommodating recess 22 of the holder 20.
[0055] More specifically, holder 20 of the present embodiment includes a circular plate-shaped bottom plate portion 23 and a cylindrical side plate portion 24 rising from the periphery of bottom plate portion 23. Accommodating recess 22 is formed by bottom plate portion 23 and side plate portion 24. An engagement recess 21 is formed on the upper surface of bottom plate portion 23, which is bottom surface 22a of accommodating recess 22.
[0056] The fitting recess 21 has a size and a shape corresponding to the support body 11 of the support 10. The support body 11 is fitted into the fitting recess 21 so that the bottom surface 11b abuts against the bottom surface 21a of the fitting recess 21. At this time, the peripheral end surface 11e of the support body 11 is surrounded by the side surface 21b of the fitting recess 21 and is in a state of abutting or being close to the side surface 21b. Therefore, the movement of the support body 11 in the in-plane direction perpendicular to the thickness direction is restricted by the side surface 21b of the fitting recess 21 in the fitting recess 21. In this way, the support 10 of this embodiment is positioned with respect to the holder 20 in the in-plane direction perpendicular to the thickness direction by being fitted into the fitting recess 21. The support body 11 may be fitted into the fitting recess 21 so that the peripheral end surface 11e contacts and is sandwiched by the side surface 21b of the fitting recess 21. In this manner, the holder 20 of the present embodiment can hold the support 10 by fitting the support body portion 11 of the support 10 into the fitting recess 21 .
[0057] Moreover, the holder 20 of this embodiment includes a linear fitting recess 25 into which the protruding portion 13 of the support body 10 can be fitted, in addition to the fitting recess 21 into which the support body portion 11 of the support body 10 can be fitted. The linear fitting recess 25 of this embodiment is formed across the bottom plate portion 23 and the side plate portion 24. As described above, the protruding portion 13 of this embodiment is bendable and can be fitted along the linear fitting recess 25. The flexibility of the protruding portion 13 makes it easier to accommodate the protruding portion 13 in the accommodating recess 22, and can suppress interference with a lid body 300 (see FIG. 6 ), which will be described later and is arranged to cover the accommodating recess 22.
[0058] As shown in Fig. 5, the implant X is preferably placed on the support surface 11a of the support body 11 in a state in which the support body 11 of the support 10 is fitted into the fitting recess 21 of the holder 20 and the support body 11 is positioned relative to the holder 20. In this manner, when the implant X is placed on the support surface 11a of the support body 11, the support body 11 is less likely to move, and the installation work of placing the implant X on the support surface 11a is facilitated. Therefore, the implant X can be prevented from being unintentionally deformed, damaged, or the like during this installation work.
[0059] In this manner, the implant X can be placed in the implant delivery instrument 1. Next, the details of the transportation of the implant X by the implant delivery instrument 1 and the transfer of the implant X from the implant delivery instrument 1 to the transplant device 2 will be described with reference to Figs. 6 to 8.
[0060] As shown in FIG. 6, after the transplant X is placed on the support surface 11a, the accommodation recess 22 of the holder 20 is filled with the liquid 200. The liquid 200 is not particularly limited as long as it has little effect on the transplant X. The liquid 200 may be, for example, water, physiological saline, physiological buffer solution, or the like. Also, as shown in FIG. 6, in a state in which the accommodation recess 22 of the holder 20 is filled with the liquid 200, the accommodation recess 22 of the holder 20 is covered with a lid 300. In this way, the accommodation recess 22 of the holder 20 is maintained in a state filled with the liquid 200. Therefore, the periphery of the transplant X in the accommodation recess 22 is surrounded by the liquid 200, and the movement of the transplant X in the accommodation recess 22 is suppressed. In this state, the transplant X is transported to an intensive care unit or the like where the transplant is performed.
[0061] The implant X transported to an intensive care unit or the like is transferred from the implant transport instrument 1 to the implant device 2. Specifically, the cover 300 (see FIG. 6) covering the storage recess 22 of the holder 20 is removed, and the liquid 200 (see FIG. 6) is removed from the storage recess 22. When the liquid 200 is removed, the liquid 200 may flow in the storage recess 22. This flow of the liquid 200 may cause unintended deformation, damage, or the like to the implant X. However, the support 10 includes the above-mentioned upright wall portion 12. Therefore, even if the above-mentioned flow of the liquid 200 occurs, the presence of the upright wall portion 12 can suppress the influence on the implant X. As a result, unintended deformation, damage, or the like to the implant X can be suppressed. After the liquid 200 is removed from the storage recess 22, the gripping portion 40 of the implant device 2 is connected to the connecting portion 13a of the support 10, as shown in FIG. 7.
[0062] 8, the support 10 connected to the gripping portion 40 is removed from the holder 20 by operating the gripping portion 40. More specifically, the support 10 is removed from the accommodation recess 22 of the holder 20 by operating the gripping portion 40. At this time, the support main body portion 11 of the support 10 is removed from the fitting recess 21. In addition, the protruding portion 13 of the support 10 is removed from the linear fitting recess 25.
[0063] In this manner, the support 10 supporting the graft X is removed by operating the gripping portion 40, completing preparations for transplanting the graft X into a target site in the living body using the transplantation device 2. In other words, according to the transplant transport instrument 1, the support 10 is configured to be used also as the transplantation device 2, so that the task of moving the graft X itself and transferring it to the transplantation device 2 can be omitted.
[0064] The holder 20 is not limited to the configuration of this embodiment. For example, the holder 20 may be configured not to include the linear fitting recess 25. The holder 20 may further include a locking portion that locks and positions the support 10, in addition to the above-mentioned fitting recess 21 and linear fitting recess 25. An example of such a locking portion will be described later (see FIG. 10, etc.).
[0065] As shown in FIG. 9, the holder 20 may be formed of a plurality of (four in FIG. 9) holding pieces 20a-20d that can be disassembled so that the fitting recess 21 can be divided. The fitting recess 21 of the holder 20 shown in FIG. 9 is formed of four holding pieces 20a-20d, and the fitting recess 21 is also divided by separating the four holding pieces 20a-20d. With such a holder 20, when removing the support body 11 from the fitting recess 21, the fitting recess 21 is expanded by separating the four holding pieces 20a-20d, and the support body 11 can be easily removed from the fitting recess 21. The number of holding pieces is not limited to four as shown in FIG. 9. The holder 20 may be divisible into two to three holding pieces, or five or more holding pieces.
[0066] Next, a transplant delivery device 101 as another embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 10 to 14. The transplant delivery device 101 of this embodiment is different from the above-mentioned transplant delivery device 1 (see Figure 4, etc.) in the configuration of the holder 120. Therefore, the following mainly describes the holder 120, and the description of the configuration common to the above-mentioned transplant delivery device 1 will be omitted.
[0067] FIG. 10 is a perspective view of an implant transport instrument 101. As shown in FIG. 10, the implant transport instrument 101 includes a support 10 and a holder 120. FIG. 10 shows a state in which the support 10 is held by the holder 120. FIG. 11 shows the implant transport instrument 101, a sheet-like material as an example of an implant X transported by the implant transport instrument 101, and a container 400 to which the holder 120 of the implant transport instrument 101 can be attached. FIG. 11 shows a state in which the support 10 is separated from the holder 120. FIG. 12 shows a state in which the holder 120 holding the support 10 is attached to the container 400. FIGS. 13 and 14 are views showing a process in which the implant X is transferred from the implant transport instrument 101 to a transplant device 2 for transplantation after being transported by the implant transport instrument 101.
[0068] As shown in FIGS. 11 to 14, the holder 120 of this embodiment is a mounting body that can be mounted in a receiving recess 401 of a container 400 in which a receiving recess 401 is formed.
[0069] The container 400 has a cylindrical shape with a bottom, such as a petri dish. More specifically, the container 400 of this embodiment includes a circular bottom plate portion 402 and a cylindrical side plate portion 403 rising from the periphery of the bottom plate portion 402. The storage recess 401 is formed by the bottom plate portion 402 and the side plate portion 403.
[0070] The holder 120 can hold the support 10. Specifically, the holder 120 has a fitting recess 121 into which the support 10 can be fitted. The connection portion 13a of the support 10 is configured to be connectable to the grip portion 40 of the implantation device 2 in a state in which the support 10 is fitted into the fitting recess 121 of the holder 120.
[0071] Specifically, the fitting recess 121 of the holder 120 of this embodiment is configured so that the support body portion 11 of the support body 10 can be fitted therein.
[0072] The fitting recess 121 has a size and a shape corresponding to the support body 11 of the support 10. The support body 11 is fitted into the fitting recess 121 so that the bottom surface 11b abuts against the bottom surface 121a of the fitting recess 121. At this time, the peripheral end surface 11e of the support body 11 is surrounded by the side surface 121b of the fitting recess 121 and is in a state of abutting or being close to the side surface 121b. Therefore, the movement of the support body 11 in the in-plane direction perpendicular to the thickness direction is restricted by the side surface 121b of the fitting recess 121 within the fitting recess 121. In this way, the support 10 of this embodiment is positioned with respect to the holder 120 in the in-plane direction perpendicular to the thickness direction by being fitted into the fitting recess 121. The support body 11 may be fitted into the fitting recess 121 such that the peripheral end face 11e thereof is in contact with and clamped by the side face 121b of the fitting recess 121. In this manner, the holder 120 of the present embodiment can hold the support 10 by fitting the support body 11 of the support 10 into the fitting recess 121.
[0073] More specifically, the holder 120 of this embodiment includes a circular plate-shaped base plate portion 122 and a peripheral wall portion 123 rising from the periphery of the base plate portion 122. The peripheral wall portion 123 of this embodiment rises only from a part of the periphery of the base plate portion 122, but is not limited to this configuration. The peripheral wall portion 123 may rise from the entire periphery of the base plate portion 122. The base plate portion 122 includes a lower surface 122b arranged in the accommodating recess 401 so as to abut on the upper surface of the bottom plate portion 402 that constitutes the bottom surface of the accommodating recess 401 of the container 400, and an upper surface 122a opposite to the lower surface 122b. The outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion 123 has a radius of curvature that is approximately equal to the inner peripheral surface of the side plate portion 403 of the container 400. Therefore, the holder 120 is positioned in the accommodating recess 401 of the container 400 by the outer circumferential surface of the peripheral wall portion 123 contacting the inner circumferential surface of the side plate portion 403. In other words, the holder 120 of the present embodiment is configured to be able to be fitted into the accommodating recess 401 of the container 400 such that the outer circumferential surface of the peripheral wall portion 123 contacts the inner circumferential surface of the side plate portion 403.
[0074] The holder 120 of the present embodiment has, in addition to the fitting recess 121, a linear fitting recess 125 into which the protrusion 13 of the support 10 can be fitted. In the present embodiment, the fitting recess 121 and the linear fitting recess 125 of the holder 120 are formed on the upper surface 122a of the base plate portion 122.
[0075] Furthermore, the holder 120 of this embodiment further includes a locking portion 126 that locks the support body 10 fitted in the fitting recess 121. The locking portion 126 of this embodiment is a protrusion 126a that protrudes radially inward from the peripheral wall portion 123. The protrusion 126a can clamp the support body portion 11 of the support body 10 between itself and the bottom surface 121a of the fitting recess 121. However, the locking portion 126 is not limited to the protrusion 126a of this embodiment. The locking portion 126 may have another configuration as long as it is configured to lock the support body 10 fitted in the fitting recess 121.
[0076] As shown in Fig. 12, the transplant X is preferably placed on the support surface 11a of the support body 11 in a state where the mounting body as the holder 120 is mounted on the container 400, and the support body 11 of the support 10 is fitted into the fitting recess 121 of the holder 120, and the support body 11 is positioned relative to the holder 120. In this manner, when the transplant X is placed on the support surface 11a of the support body 11, the support body 11 is less likely to move, and the installation work of placing the transplant X on the support surface 11a is facilitated. Therefore, the occurrence of unintended deformation, damage, etc. of the transplant X during this installation work can be suppressed.
[0077] In this manner, the transplant X can be placed in the transplant delivery device 101. After the transplant X is placed on the support surface 11a, the storage recess 401 of the container 400 is filled with the liquid 200 (see FIG. 6) and covered with the lid 300 (see FIG. 6), similarly to the above-described transplant delivery device 1. The transplant X is transported in this state to an intensive care unit or the like where the transplant will be performed.
[0078] The implant X transported to an intensive care unit or the like is transferred from the implant transport instrument 101 to the implant device 2. Specifically, the lid 300 (see FIG. 6) covering the storage recess 401 of the container 400 is removed, and the liquid 200 (see FIG. 6) is removed from the storage recess 401. After the liquid 200 is removed from the storage recess 401, the gripping portion 40 of the implant device 2 is connected to the connecting portion 13a of the support 10, as shown in FIG.
[0079] Next, as shown in Fig. 14, by operating the gripping portion 40, the support 10 connected to the gripping portion 40 is removed from the container 400. Specifically, by operating the gripping portion 40, the support 10 is removed from the holder 120 attached to the container 400. At this time, the support body portion 11 of the support 10 is removed from the fitting recess 121. In addition, the support body portion 11 of the support 10 is pulled out from between the protrusion portion 126a serving as the locking portion 126 and the bottom surface 121a of the fitting recess 121. Furthermore, the protrusion portion 13 of the support 10 is removed from the linear fitting recess 125.
[0080] In this manner, the support 10 supporting the graft X is removed by operating the gripping portion 40, completing preparations for transplanting the graft X into a target site in the living body using the transplantation device 2. In other words, according to the transplant transport instrument 101, the support 10 is configured to be used also as the transplantation device 2, so that the task of moving the graft X itself and transferring it to the transplantation device 2 can be omitted.
[0081] Next, a modified example of the mounting body as the holder 120 will be described with reference to Figs. 15 and 16. Fig. 15 is a perspective view of the holder 120. Fig. 16 is a top view of the holder 120. The holder 120 shown in Figs. 15 and 16 includes an engagement portion 127 that engages with the side surface 401a of the storage recess 401 so as to be sandwiched by the inner surface of the side plate portion 403 as the side surface 401a of the storage recess 401 of the container 400 (see Fig. 11, etc.). More specifically, the peripheral wall portion 123 of the holder 120 shown in Figs. 15 and 16 includes a flap portion 123a that is elastically deformable so as to swing in the radial direction. The flap portion 123a of this embodiment is provided at both ends of the peripheral wall portion 123 in the circumferential direction. Figs. 15 and 16 show the natural state of the flap portion 123a when no external force is applied to the flap portion 123a. The holder 120 shown in Figs. 15 and 16 is disposed in the accommodating recess 401 (see Fig. 11, etc.) of the container 400 in a state in which it is swung radially inward against the elastic restoring force of the flap portion 123a. By releasing the external force applied to the flap portion 123a in the accommodating recess 401 of the container 400, the flap portion 123a swung radially outward by the elastic restoring force. As a result, the flap portion 123a is in a state of pressing the inner surface of the side plate portion 403 as the side surface 401a of the accommodating recess 401. That is, the holder 120 is sandwiched between the inner surface of the side plate portion 403 as the side surface 401a of the accommodating recess 401 of the container 400, and is positioned in the accommodating recess 401. In this way, the holder 120 shown in Figs. 15 and 16 includes the flap portion 123a as the engagement portion 127.
[0082] 15 and 16 show an example in which the holder 120 is clamped by the side surface 401a of the storage recess 401 of the container 400 by utilizing the elastic restoring force of the flap portion 123a as the engagement portion 127, but the present invention is not limited to this configuration. As shown in FIGS. 17A and 17B, the flap portion 123a may be configured to swing by utilizing a cam 129 that is integrally provided with a screw shaft portion 128 that screws into the base plate portion 122 of the holder 120. Specifically, the holder 120 including the cam 129 is mounted in the storage recess 401 of the container 400 in the state shown in FIG. 17A. In this state, the flap portion 123a is located radially inward from the outer edge of the base plate portion 122. Thereafter, the cam 129 is rotated together with the screw shaft portion 128 to achieve the state shown in FIG. 17B. That is, the flap portion 123a is swung radially outward. As a result, flap portion 123a is in a state of pressing the inner surface of side plate portion 403 serving as side surface 401a of accommodating recess 401. In other words, holder 120 is sandwiched between the inner surface of side plate portion 403 serving as side surface 401a of accommodating recess 401 of container 400, and is positioned within accommodating recess 401.
[0083] 15 to 17B are flap portions 123a provided on peripheral wall portion 123, but are not limited to this configuration. Engagement portion 127 may have another configuration.
