Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a speaker device, and more particularly to a speaker device that is mounted on the dashboard of a vehicle. [Background technology]

[0002] Conventionally, audio equipment that is embedded in the dashboard and reproduces high-quality sound has been installed in vehicles as an option or aftermarket item. Meanwhile, the dashboard has traditionally provided a space of 2DIN (Deutsch Industrie Norm) size as standard for mounting optional equipment. Since 1DIN size is 50mm high and 178mm wide, 2DIN size, when stacked two high, is 100mm high.

[0003] On the other hand, most audio equipment has been miniaturized and fits into a 1DIN size. As a result, the remaining 1DIN space is used only as a storage space for small items. Therefore, in addition to the existing door speakers, it is considered to install a speaker device as a center speaker or the like in this remaining 1DIN space. Providing a speaker on the dashboard (between the driver's seat and the passenger seat) is also advantageous in terms of sound image positioning.

[0004] Alternatively, commercial vehicles such as trucks often do not have door speakers, but instead have speakers built into the 1DIN audio equipment. In such cases, the speakers are small and the sound quality is limited. Therefore, by installing a wide-range speaker device in the space of another 1DIN, where a radio or other device may be installed, the sound quality in such commercial vehicles can be dramatically improved.

[0005] However, for car audio, the DIN size is the only fixed size, and the depth varies from vehicle to vehicle. On the other hand, when installing a speaker on the dashboard, the larger the capacity of the speaker box (enclosure), especially if the speaker is a woofer that reproduces low-frequency sounds, the better. Therefore, it is desirable to adjust the enclosure capacity to suit the vehicle.

[0006] Patent Document 1 shows a speaker set with excellent bass characteristics, in which a box-shaped cabinet with a speaker attached is housed in another slightly larger cabinet, which is then housed in yet another cabinet for portability, and in the assembled state, the internal spaces are connected to each other, increasing the enclosure capacity and providing excellent bass characteristics. Patent Document 2 shows that the opening side of the speaker is covered with a bellows-shaped sound diffusion prevention member. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0007] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 8-307985 [Patent Document 2] Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 10-126714 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0008] In Patent Document 1, the enclosure volume cannot be finely adjusted by assembling a specified speaker box. The sound diffusion prevention member in Patent Document 2 appears to be bellows-like and expandable, but since it is installed on the opening side, it is intended to prevent sound leakage and is not used to adjust the enclosure volume.

[0009] SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT EMBODIMENT An object of the present invention is to provide a speaker device that is mounted on the dashboard of a vehicle and that is capable of adjusting the enclosure volume. [Means for solving the problem]

[0010] In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the speaker device of the present invention is a speaker device that is mounted on the dashboard of a vehicle, and is characterized in having a front housing that is fitted into the dashboard and has a speaker body attached to a front panel, and a rear housing that fits into the front housing so as to be able to advance and retract from the front housing. Effect of the Invention

[0011] Therefore, in the speaker device of the present invention, in a vehicle with a deep dashboard, the rear housing can be extended to increase the volume of the speaker enclosure and reproduce rich bass tones. On the other hand, in a vehicle body with little depth, the speaker device can be installed by retracting the rear housing. In this way, even if a common speaker device is used, the volume of the enclosure can be adjusted, and the internal space of the dashboard can be effectively utilized. FIG. 4 is a schematic vertical sectional view of another example of use of the car audio system of FIG. [Figure 4] FIG. 3 is an enlarged view of a portion of the cross section of FIG. 2. [Diagram 5] FIG. 3 is an enlarged view of a portion of the cross section of FIG. 2. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0013] Next, the present embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings. In the description of the drawings described below, the same or similar parts are given the same or similar reference numerals. However, it should be noted that the drawings are schematic and may differ from the actual ones. In addition, the embodiments shown below are examples of devices and methods for embodying technical ideas, and do not specify the material, shape, structure, arrangement, etc. of each component part. Various modifications can be made to the present embodiment within the scope of the claims.

[0014] 1 is a schematic front view of a car audio system 3 formed by combining a speaker device 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention with an audio device 2. This car audio system 3 is an in-dash car audio that is fitted into the dashboard of a vehicle. A 2DIN-sized space is generally reserved on the dashboard for optional devices such as car audio. Within the 2DIN-sized space, the audio device 2 is fitted into the upper 1DIN space that is easy to operate, and the speaker device 1 of this embodiment is fitted into the other 1DIN space on the lower level.

[0015] The audio device 2 includes a volume knob 21, various switches 22, and display devices 23 and 24, and can receive radio broadcasts, as well as wirelessly or wired audio signals from a smartphone, music player, etc., and outputs the audio signals at a desired volume after appropriately adjusting the sound quality. The audio device 2 can drive door-embedded speakers and rear seat speakers (not shown), and also drives a speaker device 1 that can emphasize low tones in particular. The speaker device 1 has left and right full-range speakers 11 and 12 on a front panel 10, and further has a bass reflex port 13 between the speakers 11 and 12 on the front panel 10.

[0016] 2 and 3 are schematic vertical cross-sectional views of an example of use of the car audio system 3. The speaker device 1 has a speaker box 14, i.e., an enclosure, which is fitted into the dashboard. In this embodiment, the speaker box 14 is divided into a front housing 15 having a front panel 10 to which the speakers 11 and 12 are attached, the front housing 15 being formed to the 1DIN size and fitted into the dashboard, and a rear housing 16 which is fitted into the front housing 15 on the rear side of the front housing 15 so as to be able to advance and retract from the front housing 15. Therefore, the speaker box 14 is configured to be able to expand and contract in the front and rear directions.

[0017] Therefore, in a vehicle with a deep dashboard, the speaker device 1 can be fitted in with the rear housing 16 advanced as shown in Fig. 2, thereby increasing the capacity of the speaker enclosure and reproducing rich bass tones. On the other hand, in a vehicle with little depth, as shown in Fig. 3, as the speaker device 1 is fitted (pushed in), the rear housing 16 contracts, reducing the enclosure capacity and making it possible to install the speaker device 1. In this way, even if a common speaker device 1 is used, the enclosure capacity can be appropriately adjusted, making it possible to effectively utilize the internal space of the dashboard.

[0018] FIG. 4 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the portion indicated by reference symbol A in FIG. 2. The front housing 15 and the rear housing 16 are formed in a rectangular tubular shape, and the rear housing 16 fits into the front housing 15. In the speaker device 1 of this embodiment, at least a part of the inner peripheral surface 15b on the opening end 15a side of the front housing 15 and at least a part of the outer peripheral surface 16b on the opening end 16a side of the rear housing 16 are formed with periodic concave-convex patterns 15c, 16c that mesh with each other. In the example of FIG. 4, the concave-convex patterns 15c, 16c are triangular wave-shaped concave-convex. They may be periodic patterns like sawtooth patterns.

[0019] By forming such periodic uneven patterns 15c, 16c, and shifting the pattern period, it is possible to advance and retract the rear housing 16 from the front housing 15. Therefore, when the speaker device 1 starts to be fitted into the dashboard with the rear housing 16 fully pulled out as shown in Fig. 2 and the front housing 15 is pushed to a specified position, the uneven patterns 15c, 16c are appropriately overcome and the rear housing 16 is accommodated in the front housing 15 as shown in Fig. 3. In this way, as shown in Fig. 3, the rear housing 16 can be easily pulled out to an appropriate pull-out length according to the depth of the dashboard while appropriately avoiding the internal structure 5 and wiring 6 of the vehicle.

[0020] The wiring 6 includes vehicle power lines such as +B, ACC, and GND as well as wiring for a door embedded speaker and is connected to the audio device 2 via a wiring 7 from a connector 8. The audio device 2 and the speaker device 1 are connected to each other via a separate connector.

[0021] 5 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the portion indicated by reference symbol B in FIG. 2. As described above, the front housing 15 and the rear housing 16 can freely move forward and backward. The front housing 15 and the rear housing 16 form a speaker box (enclosure) 14, and in this embodiment, the front panel 10 has a bass reflex port 13 between the speakers 11 and 12. Bass reflex ducts 15d and 16d connected to the bass reflex port 13 extend from the front housing 15 into the rear housing 16 and are configured to be capable of moving forward and backward. In the rear housing 16, the tip of the bass reflex duct 16d is open, and air in the speaker box (enclosure) 14 can enter and exit via the bass reflex port 13.

[0022] Specifically, in bass reflex ducts 15d, 16d, the connecting portion between front housing 15 and rear housing 16 is formed into a double-cylinder structure as shown in an enlarged view in Fig. 5, and the gap between the cylinders is sealed with packing 17. Packing 17 is formed, for example, by applying urethane resin or the like to the outer circumferential surface of bass reflex duct 16d that fits inside. Bass reflex ducts 15d, 16d may be configured to be expandable and contractible by a bellows structure or the like.

[0023] With this configuration, the length of bass reflex ducts 15d, 16d can be adjusted in conjunction with the double-cylinder portion as rear housing 16 advances and retracts from front housing 15. This allows not only the speaker enclosure but also bass reflex ducts 15d, 16d to have variable lengths, allowing for more appropriate bass reinforcement.

[0024] The speaker device 1 of this embodiment is mounted adjacent to the audio device 2 on the dashboard. Recent audio devices 2 do not need to play media (such as CDs), and although their width and height are the standard 1DIN size, their depth is relatively short. Therefore, in the speaker device 1 of this embodiment, the rear housing 16 is formed to extend from the rear side of the front housing 15 toward the audio device 2 side, as shown in Figs. 2 and 3.

[0025] Therefore, the space behind the audio equipment 2 can be effectively used to increase the enclosure capacity of the speaker device 1. In the above embodiment, the speaker device 1 and the audio equipment 2 are configured as separate 1DIN sized bodies, but they may be configured as a single 2DIN sized body. The speakers 11 and 12 may be single woofers or the like. In the embodiment described with reference to Figs. 2 and 3, the rear housing 16 is fitted inside the front housing 15, but it is also possible to realize a configuration in which the rear housing is fitted outside the front housing.
