DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0010] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the drawings. In some drawings, some of the detailed reference numerals used in other drawings are omitted. In the following embodiment, directions such as the up-down direction will be described based on a state in which an example of a range hood equipped with an example of a cover according to this embodiment is installed.
[0011] 1 to 8 are diagrams that diagrammatically show an example and modified examples of a cover according to the present embodiment, and an example of a range hood equipped with the covers according to the respective examples. As shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 4(b), the cover 20 according to this embodiment is a cover for a range hood 1 including a duct cover 12 that covers an exhaust duct 11 and a hood part 13 having an extension part 14 that extends from the lower end side of the duct cover 12 to at least one side. The cover 20 is provided with a cover body 21 that covers the duct cover 12 and is installed so that the upper end is along the ceiling 2 and the lower end is along the outer peripheral end part 15 of the extension part 14 of the hood part 13. With this configuration, the duct cover 12, which is disposed in a position recessed from the extension part 14 of the hood part 13, can be covered by the cover body 21, so that adhesion of dust, oily smoke, etc. to the upper surface of the duct cover 12 and the extension part 14 of the hood part 13 can be prevented. In addition, since the cover body 21 is not disposed in a recessed position, the cleanability of the cover body 21 can be improved.
[0012] This cover 20 may be attached to an existing range hood afterwards, for example, but in this embodiment, it is provided on the range hood 1. That is, the range hood 1 includes a duct cover 12, a hood portion 13, and the cover 20. With such a range hood 1, cleaning properties can be improved, as described above. As shown in FIG. 1, the range hood 1 is installed above a cooking appliance 8 included in a kitchen device 5 that constitutes a floor cabinet of a kitchen. The kitchen equipment 5 includes a countertop (kitchen counter) 7 incorporating a cooking device 8 and a water tank (sink) 9, and a storage section 6 provided below the countertop 7. The cooking device 8 may be a gas stove, an IH cooking heater, or the like. The top plate 7 is elongated in one direction, with the cooking device 8 mounted on one side in the longitudinal direction and the water tank 9 mounted on the other side in the longitudinal direction. A work space is provided between the cooking device 8 and the water tank 9 on the top plate 7. The storage section 6 includes a first storage section 6A below the cooking device 8, a second storage section 6B below the work space, and a third storage section 6C below the water tank 9. The kitchen apparatus 5 is not limited to a configuration with three storage sections 6A, 6B, 6C, but may have two or less storage sections, or may have four or more storage sections.
[0013] In the illustrated example, the kitchen equipment 5 is not mounted on a wall but is installed in a so-called island type so that space is formed around it. In this case, the range hood 1 is a so-called center hood type that is suspended from the ceiling 2. In other words, the range hood 1 is installed in a manner that forms a space around it, similar to the kitchen equipment 5, but is not mounted on a wall. As shown in FIG. 4(b), the range hood 1 includes a fan box 10 that is provided above the hood portion 13 and that houses a blower. The fan box 10 has a generally rectangular parallelepiped shape that opens downward. The downward opening of the fan box 10 is connected to the hood section 13. An exhaust duct 11 that is connected to the outdoors via the back of the ceiling 2 or the like is connected to the top wall of the fan box 10. The top wall of the fan box 10 may be provided with an appropriate connection section to which the exhaust duct 11 is connected. The blower is installed in the fan box 10 such that the intake port faces the hood section 13 side and the exhaust port faces the exhaust duct 11 side. The blower may be configured to include a casing that houses an appropriate impeller such as a sirocco fan or a turbo fan, and an appropriate motor that rotates the impeller.
[0014] The duct cover 12 is provided so as to surround the fan box 10 and the exhaust duct 11 and to extend from the hood portion 13 to the ceiling 2. The duct cover 12 has four cover portions arranged adjacent to the four side surfaces of the fan box 10. Each cover portion of the duct cover 12 is arranged so that the thickness direction is substantially horizontal, and is a thin plate made of an appropriate metal. The duct cover 12 may have a U-shaped cover portion integrally formed in a substantially U-shape in a plan view so as to be arranged adjacent to each of the three side surfaces of the fan box 10, and a single flat cover portion arranged adjacent to the remaining one side surface of the fan box 10. The duct cover 12 may also be divided into a ceiling 2 side and a hood portion 13 side, that is, an upper and lower portion. This duct cover 12 may be attached to a suitable attachment object such as a hanging bolt that is provided so as to hang down from the ceiling 2, or the fan box 10, the hood portion 13, etc., by using a suitable fastener such as a screw.
[0015] As shown in FIG. 1(b), the hood portion 13 has an extension portion 14 extending from the lower end side of the duct cover 12 all around the four sides, and is substantially rectangular in plan view. That is, the extension portion 14 is provided in a flange shape on the lower end side of the duct cover 12 all around the four sides. Although described in detail later, the cover body 21 has four cover portions 22, 23, 24, 27 that are installed along the four sides (15A, 15B, 15C, 15D) of the extension portion 14 of the hood portion 13. With this configuration, the duct cover 12 can be covered all around the four sides by the cover body 21, and adhesion of dust, oily smoke, and the like to the upper surface of the extension portion 14 extending in all four directions can be prevented. In addition, the cleanability of each of the cover portions 22, 23, 24, 27 of the cover body 21 that covers these four sides can be improved. Moreover, as in this embodiment, it is suitable as the cover 20 for the range hood 1 that is not mounted on the wall but is suspended from the ceiling.
[0016] The hood portion 13 is a thin, substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape that opens downward. The hood portion 13 is provided with an appropriate straightening plate that is arranged to form a suction port between the four inner peripheral edges of the hood portion 13 and to cover the suction port of the blower. An appropriate oil filter (metal filter) or the like may be provided between the straightening plate and the suction port of the blower. The hood portion 13 may also be provided with an appropriate lighting device or the like that illuminates the lower side. The hood portion 13 may also be provided with an appropriate operating unit that turns such lighting device and the blower on and off. Such an operating unit may be provided on a side (in the illustrated example, a second end portion 15B described later) on one side (the cooking work space side) in the depth direction (kitchen depth direction) of the kitchen device 5, which is one of the four sides that constitute the outer peripheral end of the extension portion 14.
[0017] The four sides of the extension 14 are provided substantially parallel to the cover parts around the duct cover 12. In the illustrated example, the side on the center side of the kitchen device 5 in the frontage direction (kitchen frontage direction (longitudinal direction of the countertop 7)) is the first end 15A, and the side on the cooking work space side is the second end 15B. In addition, the side on the other side of the kitchen depth direction (dining space side) is the third end 15C, and the side on the outside of the kitchen frontage direction is the fourth end 15D. The dimension (thickness) of the extension 14 in the vertical direction may be about 20 mm to 60 mm. The upper surface of the extension 14 is substantially horizontal, but may be inclined downward as it moves away from the duct cover 12.
[0018] The width dimension of the hood portion 13 along the kitchen width direction is larger than the dimension of the outer periphery of the duct cover 12 along the same direction. The depth dimension of the hood portion 13 along the kitchen depth direction is larger than the dimension of the outer periphery of the duct cover 12 along the same direction. In the illustrated example, the dimensions of the extension portions 14 extending on both sides of the width direction of the duct cover 12 along the same direction are approximately the same, and the dimensions of the extension portions 14 extending on both sides of the depth direction of the duct cover 12 along the same direction are approximately the same. Also, an example is shown in which the dimensions of the extension portions 14 extending in the width direction and the dimensions of the extension portions 14 extending in the depth direction are approximately the same. That is, the duct cover 12 is provided so as to be located at the center of the hood portion 13 in a plan view. The dimensions of the extension portions 14 of the hood portion 13 along each direction are not limited to the above example, and may be various other dimensions.
[0019] The frontage and depth dimensions of hood portion 13 are larger than the frontage and depth dimensions of the top plate of cooking appliance 8 disposed below. The frontage dimension of hood portion 13 may be approximately 500 mm to 1200 mm, and may be set to, for example, 600 mm, 750 mm, 900 mm, etc., corresponding to the frontage dimension of the top plate of cooking appliance 8. The depth dimension of hood portion 13 may be approximately 400 mm to 800 mm. The range hood 1 configured as described above may be fixed, for example, by hanging it from a hanging bolt provided so as to hang down from the ceiling 2 via an appropriate mounting portion. The hood portion 13, duct cover 12, and fan box 10 that constitute this range hood 1 are not limited to the above-mentioned configuration, and may be appropriately configured similarly to known range hoods.
[0020] As shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 4(b), the cover 20 has holding portions (18, 19) that detachably hold the cover body 21. With this configuration, the cover body 21 can be detached from the range hood 1, and cleaning can be further improved. In this embodiment, the holding portions (18, 19) are supported not by components that constitute the range hood 1, but by the object to which the range hood 1 is fixed (the ceiling 2 in the illustrated example). With this configuration, the load on the range hood 1 can be reduced. The surfaces (22a, 23a, 24a, 27a, 27b, 27b) of the cover body 21 exposed to the indoor side are subjected to an easy-cleaning treatment. With this configuration, the cleanability of the cover body 21 can be further improved.
[0021] Specifically, the cover body 21 is installed so as to be located on the outer periphery side of the duct cover 12 and so as to form a space between the cover body 21 and the duct cover 12. The cover body 21 includes a first cover portion 22 arranged along the first end 15A of the extension portion 14 of the hood portion 13, and a second cover portion 23 arranged along the second end 15B. The cover body 21 also includes a third cover portion 24 arranged along the third end 15C, and a fourth cover portion 27 arranged along the fourth end 15D. The first cover portion 22 is arranged substantially parallel to and opposite the cover portion of the duct cover 12 on the center side of the kitchen frontage direction. The second cover portion 23 is arranged substantially parallel to and opposite the cover portion of the duct cover 12 on the cooking work space side. The third cover portion 24 is arranged substantially parallel to and opposite the cover portion of the duct cover 12 on the dining space side. The fourth cover portion 27 is disposed substantially parallel to and opposite to the cover portion of the duct cover 12 that is on the outer side in the kitchen frontage direction.
[0022] As shown in Figs. 4 and 5, the cover parts 22, 23, 24, and 27 are arranged such that the outer peripheral surface (22a, 23a, 24a, 27a, 27b, and 27b) facing the side opposite to the duct cover 12 is substantially flush with the end faces of the ends 15A, 15B, 15C, and 15D that are the leading ends of the extension part 14 in the extension direction. In other words, the cover body 21 is arranged such that its outer peripheral surface is substantially flush with the outer peripheral end face of the extension part 14. With this configuration, cleaning properties can be further improved. Also, even if an operating part is present on the outer peripheral end face of the extension part 14, the operating part is not covered by the cover body 21. These cover portions 22, 23, 24, and 27 are disposed so that their lower end surfaces abut against or are close to the upper surface of the extension portion 14. In addition, these cover portions 22, 23, 24, and 27 are disposed so that their upper end surfaces abut against or are close to the ceiling 2. These cover parts 22, 23, 24, 27 may be in the form of a thin plate made of an appropriate metal. In the illustrated example, these cover parts 22, 23, 24, 27 are illustrated as solid plates having a uniform thickness over the entirety, but they may be configured such that a folded piece protruding toward the duct cover 12 is provided at the end of the thin plate part constituting the four peripheral surfaces of the outer periphery of the cover body 21. These cover parts 22, 23, 24, 27 may be flame retardant, and preferably non-flammable.
[0023] In this embodiment, as shown in Fig. 3, the cover body 21 is configured such that the second cover part 23 and the third cover part 24 are integrally provided on both ends of the first cover part 22 in the kitchen depth direction. In other words, the first cover part 22, the second cover part 23, and the third cover part 24 are integrally formed in a substantially U-shape in plan view. With this configuration, no seams or the like are formed at the corners of the first cover part 22 and the second cover part 23 and the third cover part 24 on both sides thereof, and cleaning properties can be further improved. The first cover portion 22, the second cover portion 23, and the third cover portion 24 are configured to be detachably held by the fourth cover portion 27 held by holding portions (18, 19) described below. With this configuration, the cover body 21 can be attached and detached more easily than, for example, a configuration in which four independent cover portions are held by appropriate holding portions.
[0024] The end faces of the second cover part 23 and the third cover part 24 on the side opposite to the first cover part 22 side are abutted against or in close proximity to the back faces (the faces facing the duct cover 12 side) of both ends of the fourth cover part 27 in the kitchen depth direction (see FIG. 4(a)). That is, the fourth cover part 27, the second cover part 23 and the third cover part 24 are abutted against the fourth cover part 27 side. That is, when the cover body 21 is installed, the side end faces 27b, 27b on both sides in the kitchen depth direction of the fourth cover part 27 constitute the surfaces exposed on the indoor side of the cover body 21. Also, the surfaces 22a, 23a, 24a, 27a facing the side opposite to the duct cover 12 in the thickness direction of each cover part 22, 23, 24, 27 constitute the surfaces exposed on the indoor side of the cover body 21. These surfaces 22a, 23a, 24a, 27a and side end faces 27b, 27b are subjected to an easy-cleaning treatment. Such an easy-cleaning treatment may be any treatment that makes it easy to clean the surfaces 22a, 23a, 24a, 27a and side end faces 27b, 27b, and may be, for example, a water-repellent treatment, a hydrophilic treatment, a photocatalytic coating, or the like. The easy-cleaning treatment is not limited to a coating or painting treatment, and may be a treatment such as surface modification.
[0025] 2(b), 3 and 5, the second cover portion 23 and the third cover portion 24 are provided with held portions (25, 26) that are detachably held by holding portions (30, 31) provided on the fourth cover portion 27. The held portions (25, 26) are provided on the end faces of the second cover portion 23 and the third cover portion 24 at the ends on the sides different from the first cover portion 22 side. In the illustrated example, the held portions (25, 26) include upper end held portions 25, 25 provided on the upper ends of the end faces of the second cover portion 23 and the third cover portion 24, and lower end held portions 26, 26 provided on the lower ends of the end faces. In the illustrated example, the upper end held parts 25, 25 are formed in a potbellied hole shape formed so that a large diameter part through which the head of a bolt-shaped upper end holding part 30 of the fourth cover part 27 described later can be inserted and a small diameter part through which the shaft part of the upper end holding part 30 can be inserted are connected. These upper end held parts 25, 25 are provided so as to open at each end face of the second cover part 23 and the third cover part 24, and so that the small diameter part is higher than the large diameter part. The lower end held parts 26, 26 will be described later.
[0026] 2(b), the holding portions (30, 31) of the fourth cover portion 27 are provided on the back surfaces of both ends in the kitchen depth direction in correspondence with the held portions (25, 26) of the second cover portion 23 and the third cover portion 24. In the illustrated example, the holding portions (30, 31) include upper end holding portions 30, 30 provided at the upper ends of both ends in the kitchen depth direction, and lower end holding portions 31, 31 provided at the lower ends of both ends. 5(a), the upper end holding parts 30, 30 are provided so as to protrude from the back surface of the fourth cover part 27 in the thickness direction of the fourth cover part 27, and are configured so as to have a head part with a larger diameter than the shaft part provided on the tip side of the shaft part on the base end side. The head part of these upper end holding parts 30, 30 is inserted through the large diameter part of the upper end held parts 25, 25, and is hooked and locked on the hole edge of the small diameter part of the upper end held parts 25, 25.
[0027] The lower end holding parts 31, 31 and the lower end held parts 26, 26 may have one being a catch part (latch part) and the other being a strike part (latch receiving part) that is engaged and held by the other. Such lower end holding parts 31, 31 and lower end held parts 26, 26 may be so-called push latches (push catches) that are engaged and released by a pressing operation. The first cover part 22, the second cover part 23 and the third cover part 24 may be arranged so that a small gap is formed between them and the ceiling 2 so that the held parts (25, 26) can be engaged with and disengaged from the holding parts (30, 31) of the fourth cover part 27. Such a gap may be, for example, about 5 mm to 20 mm. The lower end holding portions 31, 31 and the lower end held portions 26, 26 are not limited to the configuration described above, but may have one being a magnet and the other being an attached portion that is attracted to the magnet, or may be a hook-and-loop fastener, or may have various other configurations. Similarly, the upper end holding portions 30, 30 and the upper end held portions 25, 25 are not limited to the above-described configuration, but may be configured to include a hooking recess and a hooking protrusion that is hooked onto the hooking recess, or may have various other configurations.
[0028] 2(b) and 4(b), the fourth cover part 27 is provided with held parts (28, 29) that are held by the holding parts (18, 19). The held parts (28, 29) are provided on the backside of both end parts of the fourth cover part 27 in the kitchen depth direction. In the illustrated example, the held parts (28, 29) are provided adjacent to the center side in the kitchen depth direction of the upper end holding parts 30, 30 and the lower end holding parts 31, 31 provided at both end parts in the kitchen depth direction, respectively, and include upper end held parts 28, 28 on the upper end side and lower end held parts 29, 29 on the lower end side. The holding portions (18, 19) are provided on both sides in the kitchen depth direction of the duct cover 12, on the outside in the kitchen width direction, in correspondence with the held portions (28, 29). These holding portions (18, 19) are provided on hanging bolts 17, 17 constituting a hanging holding portion provided so as to hang down from the ceiling 2. These hanging bolts 17, 17 are provided so as to be located between the fourth cover portion 27 and the cover portion of the duct cover 12 facing it. These holding portions (18, 19) include upper end holding portions 18, 18 that hold upper end held portions 28, 28, and lower end holding portions 19, 19 that hold lower end held portions 29, 29.
[0029] As shown in FIG. 4(b), the upper end holding parts 18, 18 are provided so as to be located near the ceiling 2 of the hanging bolts 17, 17. These upper end holding parts 18, 18 are hook parts having a protruding piece protruding upward at the tip of a piece extending from the hanging bolts 17, 17 toward the fourth cover part 27. The upper end held parts 28, 28 are hook parts having a protruding piece protruding downward at the tip of a piece extending from the upper end of the back surface of the fourth cover part 27 toward the duct cover 12. In other words, the upper end held parts 28, 28 are hooked and held by the upper end holding parts 18, 18. The fourth cover part 27 may be arranged so that a small gap is formed between the ceiling 2 and the upper end holding parts 18, 18 so that the upper end held parts 28, 28 can be engaged and disengaged with respect to the upper end holding parts 18, 18. Such a gap may be, for example, about 5 mm to 20 mm. The lower end holding portions 19, 19 are provided so as to be located near the lower ends of the hanging bolts 17, 17. As shown in Figures 2 and 4(b), these lower end holding portions 19, 19 constitute lock receiving portions that receive locking portions 29b, 29b of lower end held portions 29, 29 operated by operating portions 29a, 29a to the locking side and the unlocking side.
[0030] The operating portions 29a, 29a of the lower end held portions 29, 29 are provided so as to be exposed on the front surface 27a side of the fourth cover portion 27. Such operating portions 29a, 29a may be operating portions provided with a cross hole, a slot, or the like that can be rotated around an axis along the thickness direction of the fourth cover portion 27 by a tool such as a screwdriver or a coin. The locking parts 29b, 29b are provided so as to protrude from the rear surface of the fourth cover part 27 in the thickness direction of the fourth cover part 27. The locking parts 29b, 29b rotate around an axis along the thickness direction to the lock side and the unlock side with the operation of the operating parts 29a, 29a. In the illustrated example, the locking parts 29b, 29b are configured to have a lock piece part protruding in the radial direction at the tip part in the protruding direction. The lower end holding parts 19, 19 are provided with an appropriate recess for receiving the locking parts 29b, 29b in the unlocked state and for engaging the locking parts 29b, 29b in the locked state. The holding parts (18, 19) and the held parts (28, 29) are not limited to the above-mentioned configurations and may have various other configurations.
[0031] When installing the cover body 21 configured as above, as shown in Fig. 4(b), the upper end held portions 28, 28 of the fourth cover portion 27 are hooked and held by the upper end holding portions 18, 18. Then, the locking portions 29b, 29b in the unlocked state are inserted into the recesses of the lower end holding portions 19, 19, and the operating portions 29a, 29a are operated from the unlocked side to the locked side to enter the locked state. 5(a) and (b), the first cover part 22, the second cover part 23, and the third cover part 24 are held by the fourth cover part 27 held by the holding parts (18, 19) as described above. That is, the upper end held parts 25, 25 of the second cover part 23 and the third cover part 24 are held by the upper end holding parts 30, 30 of the fourth cover part 27, and the lower end held parts 26, 26 of the second cover part 23 and the third cover part 24 are held by the lower end holding parts 31, 31 of the fourth cover part 27. In this way, the cover main body 21 is installed.
[0032] On the other hand, when removing the cover body 21, the lower end held portions 26, 26 of the second cover part 23 and the third cover part 24 are detached from the lower end holding portions 31, 31 of the fourth cover part 27. Then, the second cover part 23 and the third cover part 24 are slightly displaced upward, and these upper end held portions 25, 25 are detached from the upper end holding portions 30, 30 of the fourth cover part 27. Then, the operating portions 29a, 29a are operated from the locked side to the unlocked side to set the locking portions 29b, 29b in an unlocked state and are detached from the recesses of the lower end holding portions 19, 19. Then, the fourth cover portion 27 is slightly displaced upward to detach the upper end held portions 28, 28 from the upper end holding portions 18, 18. This allows the cover body 21 to be removed.
[0033] The cover body 21 is not limited to the above-mentioned configuration. For example, the first cover part 22 and the second cover part 23 may be integrally formed in a substantially L-shape in plan view, and the third cover part 24 and the fourth cover part 27 may be integrally formed in a substantially L-shape in plan view. Furthermore, each of these cover parts 22, 23, 24, and 27 may be separate. In these cases, the holding parts (18, 19) and the held parts (28, 29) may be modified as appropriate and necessary. The holding parts (30, 31) and the held parts (25, 26) that join the cover parts together may also be modified as appropriate and necessary. Instead of providing the holding parts (18, 19) on the hanging bolt 17 hanging from the ceiling 2, the holding parts (18, 19) may be provided on the range hood 1 side, or may be provided on both the ceiling 2 side and the range hood 1 side. In the above example, the cover body 21 is disposed so that its outer peripheral surface is substantially flush with the outer peripheral end surface of the extension portion 14, but the lower end surface of the cover body 21 may be disposed so that it is substantially flush with the lower surface of the hood portion 13. In other words, the lower end of the cover body 21 being disposed so as to be aligned with the outer peripheral end surface of the extension portion 14 may be configured so that the outer peripheral surface of the cover body 21 is substantially flush with the outer peripheral end surface of the extension portion 14, or may be configured so that the lower end surface of the cover body 21 is substantially flush with the lower surface of the hood portion 13. In the latter case, the lower end surface of the cover body 21 may also be subjected to an easy-cleaning treatment. The cover body 21 may have various other configurations.
[0034] Next, modified examples of the cover and modified examples of the range hood equipped with the cover will be described with reference to Figs. In each of the following modified examples, differences from the previously described example will be mainly described, and explanations of similar configurations will be omitted or briefly described. In each modified example, explanations of the same effects as those of the previously described example will be omitted or briefly described.
[0035] 6(a) and (b) are schematic diagrams illustrating an example of a cover according to a first modified example and an example of a range hood provided with the cover. In this modified example, the main difference from the above-described example is the configuration of the hood portion 13A of the range hood 1A and the cover body 21A of the cover 20A. In this modification, the outer peripheral end surface of the extension portion 14A of the hood portion 13A is provided with a curved outer peripheral end surface 16 formed in a curved shape. The cover body 21A is formed so as to conform to the outer peripheral end surface including the curved outer peripheral end surface 16 of the extension portion 14A of the hood portion 13A. With this configuration, compared to the cover body 21 having an outer shape of a substantially rectangular parallelepiped as described above, it is possible to improve the cleanability of the outer peripheral surface of the cover body 21A curved so as to conform to the curved outer peripheral end surface 16 of the extension portion 14A.
[0036] In this modification, the range hood 1A is also a so-called center hood type that is suspended from the ceiling 2. The extension portion 14A of the hood portion 13A extends from the lower end side of the duct cover 12 over the entire circumference. The outer shape of the hood portion 13A including the extension portion 14A is substantially circular in plan view. In other words, the outer peripheral end face of the extension portion 14A is curved outer peripheral end face 16 over the entire circumference. In the illustrated example, the outer shape of the hood portion 13A is substantially circular in plan view, but it may be substantially elliptical. The cover body 21A is curved over the entire circumference to correspond to the outer peripheral end surface of the extension portion 14A. With this configuration, it is possible to improve the cleaning performance over the entire outer peripheral surface of the cover body 21A. In this modified example, the cover body 21A is composed of a first cover portion 22A and a second cover portion 27A. That is, the cover body 21A is divided into two in the circumferential direction into the first cover portion 22A and the second cover portion 27A. In the illustrated example, the cover body 21A is divided into approximately two equal parts, the first cover portion 22A and the second cover portion 27A. That is, the first cover portion 22A and the second cover portion 27A are approximately semi-cylindrical.
[0037] An upper end held portion 28 and a lower end held portion 29 are provided on the inner peripheral surface of the second cover portion 27A, which are respectively held by the upper end holding portion 18 and the lower end holding portion 19 similar to those described above. In the illustrated example, upper end holding portions 18, 18 and lower end holding portions 19, 19 are provided at two locations spaced apart from each other in the circumferential direction on the upper side of the extension portion 14A extending to one side of the duct cover 12 (for example, one side in the kitchen depth direction (cooking work space side)). Also, an example is shown in which two upper end held portions 28, 28 and two lower end held portions 29, 29 are provided at intervals in the circumferential direction on the inner peripheral surface of the second cover portion 27A so as to be at positions corresponding to these upper end holding portions 18, 18 and lower end holding portions 19, 19. The second cover portion 27A has upper end holding portions 30, 30 and lower end holding portions 31, 31 similar to those described above provided on both circumferential end surfaces. The first cover portion 22A has upper end held portions 25, 25 and lower end held portions 26, 26 (see FIG. 3) similar to those described above, which are held by the upper end holding portions 30, 30 and the lower end holding portions 31, 31 provided on both circumferential end surfaces. The cover body 21A according to this modification can also be installed and removed in substantially the same manner as described above.
[0038] 6(c) and (d) show schematic diagrams of an example of a cover according to a second modified example and an example of a range hood provided with the cover. In this modified example, the main difference from the above-described examples is the configuration of a hood portion 13B of a range hood 1B and a cover body 21B of a cover 20B. In this modification, the extension portion 14B of the hood portion 13B is provided with a curved outer peripheral end surface 16A whose outer peripheral end surface is formed in a curved surface shape. In this modification, the outer peripheral end surface of the extension portion 14B of the hood portion 13B is not curved over the entire circumference, and the outer peripheral end surface of the extension portion 14B is provided with a flat side end surface 16B that is generally similar to the above-mentioned fourth end portion 15D. The range hood 1B may be installed so that this side end surface 16B is, for example, on one side in the kitchen depth direction (the cooking work space side). The curved outer peripheral end surface 16A is provided to form a generally semicircular arc, and flat surface portions extending toward the side end surface 16B are provided at both ends. In other words, the curved outer peripheral end surface 16A and the flat surface portions on both sides thereof are generally U-shaped in plan view. The flat surface portions continuing to both sides of the curved outer peripheral end surface 16A are generally perpendicular to the side end surface 16B.
[0039] The cover body 21A is also made up of a first cover portion 22B and a second cover portion 27B, which constitute two cover portions in this modified example. The second cover part 27B has a configuration generally similar to that of the fourth cover part 27. That is, the back side of the second cover part 27B is provided with held parts (upper end held part 28 and lower end held part 29) held by holding parts (upper end holding part 18 and lower end holding part 19). The back side of the second cover part 27B is provided with holding parts (upper end holding part 30 and lower end holding part 31) that hold the held parts (upper end held part 25 and lower end held part 26 (see FIG. 3)) similar to those provided on the first cover part 22B side. The second cover part 27B is arranged so as to follow the flat side end surface 16B. The first cover part 22B is disposed so as to follow the curved outer peripheral end surface 16A and the flat surface portions continuing to both sides of the curved outer peripheral end surface 16A. In other words, the first cover part 22B is substantially U-shaped in a plan view. The first cover part 22B has held parts (upper end held part 25 and lower end held part 26 (see FIG. 3)) similar to those described above on both circumferential end surfaces. The cover body 21B according to this modification can also be installed and removed in substantially the same manner as described above.
[0040] The configuration in which the curved outer peripheral end surface 16, 16A having a curved outer peripheral end surface formed in the extension portion 14A, 14B of the hood portion 13A, 13B is provided is not limited to the above-mentioned examples. For example, the outer peripheral end surface of the extension portion may be composed of a curved outer peripheral end surface that forms a substantially semicircular arc in a plan view, and a flat side end surface that is perpendicular to both ends of the curved outer peripheral end surface. Also, only the corners of the outer peripheral end surface of the extension portion that is substantially square in a plan view may be curved. In other words, the outer peripheral end surface of the extension portion may be rounded in a plan view. In these cases, the cover main body may be appropriately deformed so as to have a shape that fits the outer peripheral end surface of the extension portion.
[0041] FIG. 7 diagrammatically illustrates an example of a cover according to a third modified example and an example of a range hood provided with the cover. In this modified example, the main differences from the above-described examples are the configurations of the duct cover 12A and the hood portion 13C of the range hood 1C and the cover body 21C of the cover 20C. In this modification, as shown in FIG. 7(b), the hood portion 13C has an extension portion 14C extending in three directions from the lower end side of the duct cover 12A. The cover body 21C has three cover portions 22, 23, 24 that are installed along the three sides of the extension portion 14C of the hood portion 13C. With this configuration, the three sides of the duct cover 12A can be covered by the cover body 21C so as to surround it, and adhesion of dust, oily smoke, etc. to the upper surface of the extension portion 14C extending in three directions can be prevented. In addition, the cleaning properties of each cover portion 22, 23, 24 of the cover body 21C that covers the three sides of the duct cover 12A can be improved. In addition, the side of the hood portion 13C where the extension portion 14C is not provided is suitable as the cover 20C of the range hood 1C that is attached to the wall.
[0042] In this modification, as shown in FIG. 7(a), the kitchen equipment 5 is installed in a peninsula type with the side end surface of the first storage section 6A side, which is the side where the cooking device 8 is provided, abutting against the wall body 3. In this case, the range hood 1C is a so-called side hood type with one side in the front direction attached to the wall. In this range hood 1C, the hood section 13C and a fan box 10 (see FIG. 4(b)) generally similar to the above may be attached to the wall body 3 via an appropriate attachment. The duct cover 12A may have three cover sections that surround the three sides of the fan box 10 and the exhaust duct 11 (see FIG. 4(b)) except the wall body 3 side. This duct cover 12A may be attached to the wall body 3, the hood section 13C, etc. via an appropriate attachment. In this modification, the exhaust duct 11 may be provided so as to communicate with the outdoors through the inside of the wall body 3.
[0043] The extension portion 14C of the hood portion 13C does not extend toward the wall 3 side, but extends in three directions excluding the wall 3 side. In the illustrated example, similar to the example in FIG. 1, an example is shown in which the end of the extension portion 14C on the side opposite to the wall 3 side is a first end 15A, the end on the cooking work space side is a second end 15B, and the end on the dining space side is a third end 15C. The wall 3 side of the hood portion 13C may be substantially flush with the fan box 10, or may extend slightly. The cover body 21C includes a first cover portion 22 arranged along the first end 15A of the extension portion 14C, a second cover portion 23 arranged along the second end 15B, and a third cover portion 24 arranged along the third end 15C. The first cover portion 22, the second cover portion 23, and the third cover portion 24 are integrally formed as in the example of FIG. 1. In this modification, the cover body 21C does not include a fourth cover portion 27, and the end faces of the second cover portion 23 and the third cover portion 24 on the wall body 3 side are installed so as to abut against the wall body 3 to which the range hood 1C is fixed. The end faces of the second cover portion 23 and the third cover portion 24 on the wall body 3 side are provided with the same held portions (upper end held portion 25 and lower end held portion 26 (see FIG. 3)) as described above.
[0044] In this modified example, the hanging bolts 17 hanging from the ceiling 2 are not provided, and the wall 3 side is provided with the same holding parts (upper end holding part 30 and lower end holding part 31). In the illustrated example, the upper end holding part 30 and the lower end holding part 31 are provided separately on the wall 3, but they may be provided at intervals above and below on an appropriate mounting fixture fixed to the wall 3. In this modified example, the first cover part 22, the second cover part 23, and the third cover part 24, which are integrally formed in a U-shape, can be attached and detached to and from the wall 3 side without the need to attach and detach the fourth cover part 27. In other words, in this modified example, the holding parts (upper end holding part 30 and lower end holding part 31) provided on the wall 3 side function as holding parts that detachably hold the cover main body 21C.
[0045] FIG. 8 diagrammatically illustrates an example of a cover according to the fourth modified example and an example of a range hood provided with the cover. In this modification, the kitchen equipment 5 is installed as a wall-mounted type with the entire rear side, which is one side in the kitchen depth direction, abutted against the wall 4 as shown in FIG. 8(a). In this case, the range hood 1D is a so-called wall-mounted hood type with one side in the depth direction attached to the wall. In this modification, similar to the third modification, the hood part 13C has an extension part 14C extending in three directions from the lower end side of the duct cover 12A as shown in FIG. 8(b). The cover body 21D of the cover 20D has three cover parts 22, 23, and 24 installed along the three sides of the extension part 14C of the hood part 13C, similar to the third modification.
[0046] The extension portion 14C of the hood portion 13C does not extend to the wall 4 side, similarly to the third modified example, but extends in three directions except the wall 4 side. In the illustrated example, unlike the third modified example, the end portion of the extension portion 14C on the cooking work space side, which is the end portion on the side different from the wall 4 side, is the first end portion 15A, the end portion on the outside in the kitchen frontage direction is the second end portion 15B, and the end portion on the center side in the kitchen frontage direction is the third end portion 15C. In other words, the first end portion 15A is provided along the kitchen frontage direction, and the second end portion 15B and the third end portion 15C connected to both sides of the first end portion 15A are provided along the kitchen depth direction. The wall 4 side of the hood portion 13C may be substantially flush with the fan box 10 (see FIG. 4(b)) or may extend slightly.
[0047] The cover body 21D does not include the fourth cover part 27, as in the third modified example, and includes the first cover part 22, the second cover part 23, and the third cover part 24, which are integrally formed. In this modified example, the first cover part 22 is arranged on the cooking work space side. That is, the first cover part 22 is arranged so as to extend in the kitchen frontage direction, and the second cover part 23 and the third cover part 24, which are connected to both sides of the first cover part 22, are arranged so as to extend in the kitchen depth direction. In this modified example, as in the third modified example, the end faces of the second cover part 23 and the third cover part 24 on the wall body 4 side are provided with the same held parts (upper end held part 25 and lower end held part 26 (see FIG. 3)) as described above, which are held by the same holding parts (upper end holding part 30 and lower end holding part 31) provided on the wall body 4 side. In this modified example, similarly to the third modified example, the first cover part 22, the second cover part 23 and the third cover part 24, which are integrally formed in a U-shape, can be attached and detached to the wall body 4 side without the need to attach and detach the fourth cover part 27.
[0048] In this modified example, when a wall cabinet or a wall body is adjacent to both sides of the range hood 1D in the width direction, a fascia-shaped duct cover whose front surface is arranged substantially flush with the front surface of the wall cabinet may be provided instead of the duct cover 12A that surrounds three sides as described above. In this case, the extension portion 14C of the hood portion 13C extends only toward the cooking work space side. In this case, the cover body 21D may be provided along three sides of the extension portion 14C that is provided to protrude beyond the front surface of the wall cabinet. In other words, the dimensions of the second cover portion 23 and the third cover portion 24 along the kitchen depth direction may be smaller than those shown in the figure. In this case, the fascia-shaped duct cover may be provided with the same holding portions (upper end holding portion 30 and lower end holding portion 31) as described above, or may be provided with holding portions at other locations.
[0049] The different configurations described in the above examples may be modified, rearranged, or combined as necessary. For example, the outer peripheral end surface of the extension portion 14C of the hood portion 13C described in the third and fourth modified examples may be provided with a curved outer peripheral end surface. In this case, the cover main bodies 21C and 21D may be modified as necessary. The configurations of the members and parts of the covers 20, 20A to 20D and the configurations of the members and parts of the range hoods 1, 1A to 1D according to the above examples are merely examples, and various other modifications are possible.
