Embodiments for Carrying Out the Invention

[0016] Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In the drawings, the same or corresponding parts are denoted by the same reference numerals and their descriptions will not be repeated.

[0017] The open booth according to this embodiment can be formed by combining a plurality of movable booths. The open booth is mainly arranged in an indoor space such as an office or a reception room. The open booth can be used, for example, as a meeting space for one or more people. Prior to the description of the open booth, the first movable booth 1 and the second movable booth 5, which are the minimum units of the open booth, will be described.

[0018] (Regarding the first movable booth) Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, the first movable booth 1 according to this embodiment will be described. In this embodiment, in FIG. 1(A), the direction indicated by the arrow A1 is referred to as the vertical direction, the direction indicated by the arrow A2 is referred to as the width direction, the direction indicated by the arrow A3 is the front side, the opposite direction is the rear side, and the front-rear direction is also referred to as the depth direction.

[0019] The first movable booth 1 is an open booth arranged in the indoor space. The first movable booth 1 is basically for one person to use. As shown in FIG. 1, as a specific configuration, the first movable booth 1 includes a seating portion 10 having a substantially trapezoidal shape in plan view, a rear sound-absorbing panel 20, and a top surface portion 30.

[0020] The seating portion 10 includes a seat surface portion 15 and a bottom surface portion 16 that are substantially trapezoidal in plan view. Further, the seating portion 10 has long side portions 11 and short side portions 12 that are parallel to each other, and a pair of side portions 13 and 14 around it. The seat surface portion 15 of the present embodiment is an isosceles trapezoid and is a reptile formed by rotating three equilateral triangles of the same size by 60° and combining them. Specifically, as shown by the broken line in Fig. 1(C), the seat surface portion 15 has a shape in which one remaining equilateral triangle is arranged downward with its sides overlapping between two equilateral triangles with their vertices facing upward. As a result, the long side portion 11 is formed by the bases of two equilateral triangles, and the short side portion 12 is formed by the base of the remaining one equilateral triangle facing the opposite direction.

[0021] Each equilateral triangle constituting the seat surface portion 15 has, for example, a side (hypotenuse) of about 550 mm. As a result, the lateral dimension W1 of the short side portion 12 of the seating portion 10 is about 550 mm, which is the same as the side of the equilateral triangle. The lateral dimension W2 of the long side portion 11 is about 1100 mm, which is about twice the lateral dimension W1 of the short side portion 12. Also, the depth dimension D (the linear distance between the long side portion 11 and the short side portion 12) is about 480 mm. Although an example of the size of the seating portion 10 has been shown above, the seating portion 10 is not limited to this as long as it is wide enough for one operator to sit.

[0022] The seating portion 10 of the present embodiment is, for example, in the shape of a stool and is a substantially trapezoidal quadrangular prism shape. It is desirable that the pair of side portions 13 and 14 are provided with engaging portions (not shown) for connecting and fixing to an adjacent movable booth when using the other first movable booth 1 or the second movable booth 5 described later adjacent to each other. The fixing portion is, for example, a hook-and-loop fastener, a magnet, or the like. Also, the pair of side portions 13 and 14 may be provided with other engaging portions (not shown) for fixing the side sound-absorbing panel 40 described later, or may be used in combination with the engaging portions for connecting and fixing to an adjacent movable booth.

[0023] Although not shown, for example, four casters with stoppers are attached to the four corners of the bottom surface portion 16 of the seating portion 10. As a result, the first movable booth 1 can be easily moved to any location within the office.

[0024] Note that the seating part 10 is formed in a hollow shape, and a box shape is formed by the bottom surface part 16, the long side part 11, the short side part 12, and the pair of side parts 13, 14. Using the seating surface part 15 that covers the upper opening thereof as a lid part, the internal space of the seating part 10 may be utilized as a storage part for storing luggage. Also, for example, a power outlet may be installed on the long side part 11 of the seating part 10, and a rechargeable battery for the power outlet may be installed inside the seating part 10.

[0025] The rear sound absorption panel 20 is integrally attached to the seating part 10. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 1(B), the rear sound absorption panel 20 extends in the vertical direction, and its lower end part is attached to the short side part 12. Specifically, the lower end part of the rear sound absorption panel 20 is attached so as to cover the entire short side part 12, but it may be connected only to the upper end part of the short side part 12. As shown in FIG. 1(C), the lateral dimension of the rear sound absorption panel 20 is substantially the same as the lateral dimension W2 of the short side part 12 of the seating part 10.

[0026] A sound absorption material is attached to the inner surface of the rear sound absorption panel 20. As the sound absorption material, common sound absorption materials such as glass wool, rock wool, and urethane sponge can be adopted. The rear sound absorption panel 20 has a door pocket shape in which its right side part 21 and left side part 22 are open in the left - right direction, and the side sound absorption panel 40 is stored inside thereof. The side sound absorption panel 40 will be described later.

[0027] As shown in FIG. 1(B), the height dimension H of the rear sound-absorbing panel 20 is preferably 1400 mm or more and 1800 mm or less. If it is 1800 mm or less, a certain space is provided between the ceiling of the indoor space, so that the open feeling of the office can be maintained. Further, since the height is not too high, the occupancy in the booth can be confirmed even from a distance. If it is 1400 mm or more, when the user sits on the seating part 10, the top surface part 30 does not hit the head and it is easy to sit. In addition, the height dimension H of the rear sound-absorbing panel 20 is desirably 1700 mm or less. If it is 1700 mm or less, a space is provided between the ceiling of the indoor space, so that the open feeling of the office can be felt more.

[0028] The top surface part 30 is provided to intersect with the upper end part of the rear sound-absorbing panel 20. The top surface part 30 faces the seating part 10. The top surface part 30 and the rear sound-absorbing panel 20 are preferably provided substantially vertically. As shown in FIG. 1(A), the top surface part 30 has a substantially trapezoidal shape in plan view, and preferably has the same trapezoidal shape as the above-described seating part 10. The top surface part 30 is an isosceles trapezoid like the seating part 10, and includes a long side 31 and a short side 32 parallel to each other and a pair of side sides 33, 34. In addition, the protruding length of the top surface part 30 from the rear sound-absorbing panel 20 may be about several tens of centimeters shorter or longer than the trapezoidal shape of the seating part 10.

[0029] As shown in FIG. 1(B), the top surface part 30 has a terminal part 35 adjacent to the rear sound-absorbing panel 20 and a tip part 37 away from the rear sound-absorbing panel 20. The terminal part 35 is connected to the upper end part of the rear sound-absorbing panel 20 and protrudes forward while drawing an arc shape in side view. The terminal part 35 is formed of a hard material such as iron or wood, for example. A sound-absorbing material 36 is attached to the terminal part 35. The sound-absorbing material 36 is arranged between the upper end part of the rear sound-absorbing panel 20 and the curved part of the terminal part 35. As the sound-absorbing material 36, the above-described general sound-absorbing material can be adopted.

[0030] The tip portion 37 is formed of a material having translucency, specifically, it is transparent or translucent, and is formed of, for example, an acrylic transparent plate. The length of the tip portion 37 in the depth direction is approximately half of the length of the top surface portion 30 in the depth direction. Thereby, since approximately half of the top surface portion 30 in the depth direction has translucency, it does not give a feeling of stuffiness.

[0031] If the top surface portion 30 is formed only of the sound-absorbing material 36, the sound-absorbing effect becomes too high and there is a sense of discomfort because the reverberation sound cannot be heard when speaking. Therefore, by combining the top surface portion 30 with not only the sound-absorbing material 36 but also a hard material, a certain amount of reverberation sound can be generated and the sense of discomfort can be eliminated. Further, since the sound-absorbing material 36 is provided at the connection portion between the upper end of the rear sound-absorbing panel 20 and the rear end of the top surface portion 30, the diffraction effect of the sound wrapping around and being transmitted can be suppressed, and the sound in the first movable booth 1 leaking out of the booth can be suppressed. Also, although the rear sound-absorbing panel 20 and the top surface portion 30 are formed of separate members, the rear sound-absorbing panel 20 and the top surface portion 30 may be integrally formed of the same member.

[0032] FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the first movable booth with the side sound-absorbing panel fixed, and FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing the displacement state of pulling out the side sound-absorbing panel of the first movable booth. As described above, the side sound-absorbing panel 40 is housed in the rear sound-absorbing panel 20. Referring further to FIGS. 2 and 3, the side sound-absorbing panel 40 will be described.

[0033] As described above, the rear sound-absorbing panel 20 has a pocket structure, and the side sound-absorbing panels 40 are stored inside by overlapping each other in the depth direction. A sound-absorbing material is attached to the inner surface of the side sound-absorbing panel 40. As the sound-absorbing material, the general sound-absorbing material described above can be adopted. As shown in FIG. 2, the vertical length of the side sound-absorbing panel 40 is substantially the same as that of the rear sound-absorbing panel 20. Further, the length of the side sound-absorbing panel 40 in the pulling-out direction is substantially the same as the lengths of the side edges 13, 14 of the seating portion 10. The side sound-absorbing panel 40 is fixed along the lengths of the side edges 13, 14 of the seating portion 10. The side sound-absorbing panel 40 has an engaged portion (not shown) that engages with the engaging portions of the side edges 13, 14 of the seating portion 10 described above. The engaged portion engages with the engaging portions provided on the side edges 13, 14 of the side sound-absorbing panel 40, and is, for example, a hook-and-loop fastener, a magnet, or the like.

[0034] Referring to FIG. 3, the method of pulling out the side sound-absorbing panel 40 will be described. First, as shown in FIG. 3(A), the side sound-absorbing panels 40 are pulled out from both sides of the rear sound-absorbing panel 20, and as shown in FIG. 3(B), the side sound-absorbing panels 40 are pulled out by the same length as the side edges 13, 14 of the seating portion 10. As shown in FIG. 3(C), starting from both ends of the rear sound-absorbing panel 20, the side sound-absorbing panels 40 are rotated toward the side edges 13, 14 of the seating portion 10 and aligned along the pair of side edges 13, 14 of the seating portion 10. As shown in FIG. 3(D), with the pair of side sound-absorbing panels 40 aligned along the pair of side edges 13, 14 of the seating portion 10, the side edges 13, 14 of the seating portion 10 and the pair of side sound-absorbing panels 40 are fixed.

[0035] By pulling out the side sound-absorbing panel 40 and fixing it to the side edges 13, 14 of the seating portion 10, a semi-closed private room space surrounded on three sides can be formed. Thereby, it is possible to prevent the sound inside the first movable booth 1 from leaking outside the booth, and it is possible to work intensively. Further, even when a plurality of movable booths 1 are arranged adjacent to each other, if the side sound-absorbing panels 40 are pulled out and fixed, the sound of the adjacent movable booth 1 is less likely to leak out.

[0036] (Regarding the Second Movable Booth) Referring to FIG. 4, the second movable booth 5 will be described. The first movable booth 1 and the second movable booth 5 are common in that the seating portion 50 has a substantially trapezoidal shape in plan view, but differ in that the lower end portion of the rear sound-absorbing panel 60 is attached to the long side portion 51 of the seating portion 50. Hereinafter, the description will focus on the differences from the first movable booth 1.

[0037] The second movable booth 5 is an open-type booth arranged in the indoor space, similar to the first movable booth 5. As shown in FIG. 4, as a specific configuration, the second movable booth 5 includes a seating portion 50 having a substantially trapezoidal shape in plan view, a rear sound-absorbing panel 60, and a top surface portion 70.

[0038] As shown in FIGS. 4(A) and 4(B), the seating portion 50 includes a seat surface portion 55 and a bottom surface portion 56 having a substantially trapezoidal shape in plan view. The seat surface portion 55 and the bottom surface portion 56 are surrounded by long side portions 51 and short side portions 52 parallel to each other and a pair of side portions 53, 54. The seating portion 50 is the same size as the seating portion 10 of the first movable booth 1 and has a stool shape with a similar shape. Engaging portions (not shown) for connecting and fixing to adjacent movable booths 1, 5 are provided on the side portions 53, 54 when another second movable booth 5 or the above-described first movable booth 1 is adjacent. The engaging portions are, for example, surface fasteners, magnets, etc. Four casters with stoppers are attached to the four corners of the bottom surface portion 56 of the seating portion 50.

[0039] A major difference between the first movable booth 1 and the second movable booth 5 is that the rear sound-absorbing panel 60 is attached to the long side portion 51 of the seating portion 50. As shown in FIG. 4(C), the lateral dimension of the rear sound-absorbing panel 60 is the same as the lateral dimension of the long side portion 51 of the seating portion 50. Also in the second movable booth 5, a side sound-absorbing panel 80 is provided so as to be retractable. The side sound-absorbing panel 80 shown in FIG. 5, when stored in the rear sound-absorbing panel 60, does not overlap within the rear sound-absorbing panel 60 and is aligned in the width direction.

[0040] The ceiling surface 70 is provided so as to intersect the upper end portion of the rear sound absorption panel 60. The ceiling surface 70 faces the seating portion 50 and has a substantially trapezoidal shape substantially the same as that of the seating portion 50 in plan view. The ceiling surface 70 has a substantially trapezoidal shape in plan view and includes a long side 71 and a short side 72 that are parallel to each other and a pair of side sides 73, 74. Further, similar to the first movable booth 1, it includes a terminal portion 75 adjacent to the rear sound absorption panel 60 side and having a sound absorption material 76, and a tip portion 77 away from the rear sound absorption panel 60 and having translucency.

[0041] By using both or either one of the above-described two types of movable booths 1 and 5, an open-type booth can be formed according to the needs of the user. Hereinafter, an example of the layout of an open-type booth combined with the first movable booth 1 or the second movable booth 5 will be described.

[0042] (Regarding the open-type booth) Examples of the layout of the open-type booth are disclosed in FIGS. 6 to 11. With reference to FIGS. 6 to 11, an example of the layout of the open-type booths 9 to 9M will be described. The following open-type booths 9 to 9M are merely examples and can take various forms.

[0043] FIG. 6 shows an example using two movable booths. In the open-type booth 9 in FIG. 6(A), the first movable booth 1 and the second movable booth 5 are used. With reference to FIG. 6(A), the open-type booth 9 has a substantially parallelogram shape in plan view when the two booths 1 and 5 are combined.

[0044] The open-type booth 9 is arranged adjacent to each other so that the front-rear directions of the first movable booth 1 and the second movable booth 5 coincide. The right side portion 13 of the seating portion 10 of the first movable booth 1 and the left side portion 54 of the seating portion 50 of the second movable booth 5 face each other (surface contact), and their engaging portions are connected and fixed to form an integrated seating portion 10, 50. Specifically, the heights of the seat surfaces 15 and 55 are the same and are substantially flush (the long side portion 11 of the seating portion 10 and the short side portion 52 of the seating portion 50 are also substantially flush).

[0045] As a result, the rear sound-absorbing panels 20 and 60 are substantially flush with each other with the right side portion 21 and the left side portion 62 facing each other (in contact or close proximity), and the top panels 30 and 70 are substantially flush with each other with the right side 33 and the left side 74 facing each other, enabling the formation of the integrated rear sound-absorbing panels 20 and 60 and the top panels 30 and 70. Thereby, the first movable booth 1 and the second movable booth 5 can be integrated, for example, into an open booth 9 for two people.

[0046] In the open booth 9A shown in FIG. 6(B), two second movable booths 5 are used. The open booth 9A is formed by arranging two second movable booths 5 side by side, facing and connecting and fixing the side portions 53 of their seating portions 50. Since the angle formed by the short side portions 52 is approximately 120°, it is a booth suitable for, for example, a meeting of two people.

[0047] In the open booth 9B shown in FIG. 6(C), two first movable booths 1 are used. The open booth 9B is formed by arranging two first movable booths 1 side by side, facing and connecting and fixing the side portions 13 of their seating portions 10. Since the angle formed by the long side portions 11 of the seating portion 10 is approximately 240°, it is a booth suitable for conducting individual work, etc. while communicating.

[0048] FIG. 7 shows an example using three movable booths. The open booth 9C in FIG. 7(A) has a shape in which the second movable booth 5 is sandwiched between two first movable booths 1 and is substantially trapezoidal in plan view. For example, three people can use it side by side. The open booth 9D in FIG. 7(B) has a shape that combines the open booth 9 in FIG. 6(A) and the open booth 9A in FIG. 6(B), and the first movable booth 1, the second movable booth 5, and the second movable booth 5 are arranged in order from the left side on the paper surface. The open booth 9E in FIG. 7(C) has a shape that combines the open booth 9 in FIG. 6(A) and the open booth 9B in FIG. 6(C), and the second movable booth 5, the first movable booth 1, and the first movable booth 1 are arranged in order from the left side on the paper surface.

[0049] FIG. 8 shows an example of an open booth using four movable booths. The open booth 9F in FIG. 8(A) has a shape formed by combining two sets of the open booth 9 in FIG. 6(A), and the first movable booth 1 sandwiches two second movable booths 5. The open booth 9G in FIG. 8(B) has a different form from FIG. 8(A), and has a shape formed by combining two sets of the open booth 9 in FIG. 6(A), and the second movable booth 5 sandwiches a pair of first movable booths 1. For example, four people can use it side by side.

[0050] In the open booth 9H in FIG. 8(C), four first movable booths 1 are used, and the side sound absorption panels 40 are fixed in a pulled-out state in all the first movable booths 1, and in that state, the first movable booths 1 are arranged in a staggered manner. This open booth 9H is not for meetings, but can be suitably used as a space for individual work in an office with a small area.

[0051] FIG. 9 shows an example of an open booth 9I using six movable booths. Specifically, three first movable booths 1 and three second movable booths 5 are arranged, and it has a substantially U-shaped configuration in plan view. The open booth 9I is composed of three first movable booth groups 101 facing outward and three second movable booth groups 102 facing inward. Also, the first movable booth 1 located at the boundary between the movable booth groups 101 and 102 is fixed with one side sound absorption panel 40 pulled out. Also, although not shown, the second movable booth 5 located at the boundary between the movable booth groups 101 and 102 is fixed with one side sound absorption panel 80 pulled out. The first movable booth group 101 and the second movable booth group 102 are separated by the side sound absorption panels 40 and 80. Therefore, it is possible to hold meetings in different groups with the first movable booth group 101 and the second movable booth group 102.

[0052] The open booth 9J in Fig. 10 shows an example using 12 movable booths, providing a space where meetings can be held in two groups. Fig. 10(A) shows the open booth 9I shown in Fig. 9, where the second movable booth group 102 remains unchanged and the first movable booth group 101 is arranged facing inward. Since the open booth 9J has two adjacent booths in a substantially U-shaped form in plan view, two different groups can hold adjacent meetings.

[0053] Fig. 10(B) shows the open booth 9J shown in Fig. 10(A), where the adjacent third movable booth group 103 at the back is changed to the fourth movable booth group 104 facing outward respectively. The first movable booth 1 constituting the fourth movable booth group 104 is fixed with the side sound-absorbing panel 40 pulled out. Thus, in the open booth 9K, similar to the open booth 9J, two different groups can hold adjacent meetings, and the outward-facing fourth movable booth group 104 can be used as a semi-closed half-room respectively. In this way, the consultation booth and the individual booth can be integrated like the open booth 9K.

[0054] The open booths 9L and 9M in Fig. 11 show an example using 13 movable booths, providing a space where a large group can hold a meeting. In the open booth 9L in Fig. 11(A), all the movable booths 1 and 5 are arranged facing the inner side. The open booth 9M in Fig. 11(B) is obtained by changing the second movable booth 5 located at the front corner on the paper surface of Fig. 11(A) to the first movable booth 1 and arranging it facing the outer side. The first movable booth 1 is fixed with the side sound-absorbing panel 40 pulled out. Thus, in the open booth 9M, a large group can hold a meeting, and the outward-facing first movable booth 1 can be used as a semi-closed half-room. In this way, the consultation booth and the individual booth can be integrated.

[0055] The open booths 9 to 9M of the present embodiment can flexibly change the usage form according to the needs of the user by using both or either of the two types of booths, namely the first movable booth 1 and the second movable booth 5. Further, since the seating portions 10, 50 and the top surface portions 30, 70 of the movable booths 1, 5 are formed in a trapezoidal shape, when they are combined, they do not form a quadrilateral in plan view, so the user can feel the comfort of not being a quadrilateral.

[0056] Note that the seating portion 10 of the present embodiment is not limited to an isosceles trapezoid as long as at least the long side portion 11 and the short side portion 12 are parallel to each other in a trapezoidal shape. Further, the substantially trapezoidal shape may have, for example, a rounded corner, or the corner sides constituting the trapezoidal shape may be arc-shaped.

[0057] In the first and second movable booths 1, 5 of the present embodiment, the seating portions 10, 50 and the rear sound absorption panels 20, 60 are integrally fixed, but they may be provided detachably. Further, the rear sound absorption panels 20, 60 and the top surface portions 30, 70 are integrally fixed, but they may be detachable.

[0058] The side sound absorption panels 40, 80 of the first and second movable booths 1, 5 of the present embodiment are provided so as to be retractable from the rear sound absorption panels 20, 60, but they may be fixed to the side portions 13, 14, 53, 54 instead of being provided retractably.

[0059] When arranging both or either of the first movable booth 1 and the second movable booth 5 adjacent to each other to form an open booth, there may be a gap between the adjacent rear sound absorption panels 20, 60. In such a case, for example, a triangular attachment extending vertically in plan view or the like may be used, or the shapes of both side ends of the rear sound absorption panels 20, 60 may be devised so that no gap is formed.

[0060] The seating part 10 of this embodiment has been described as having a quadrangular prism shape with a substantially trapezoidal surface and back surface. However, only the seating surface part 15 has a substantially trapezoidal shape, and four legs are attached to the four corners of the seating surface part 10a, and casters may be attached to the bottom thereof.

[0061] The embodiments of the present invention have been described above with reference to the drawings. However, the present invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiments. Various modifications and variations can be made within the same scope or an equivalent scope as the present invention with respect to the illustrated embodiments.
