Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present disclosure relates to the technical field of fluid machinery, and more particularly to a sealing device for a cooler and the cooler. [Background technology]

[0002] The cooler needs to ensure the tightness between the cooler core and the cooler housing, i.e., to ensure that all the gas to be cooled passes through the center of the cooler core and does not leak from the top and bottom of the cooler core. Generally, the cooler is machined to limit the tolerance of the inner cavity surface of the cooler housing so that the gap between the cooler core and the inner cavity of the housing is small enough to act as a seal after the cooler core is pressed into the cooler housing. However, if the size of the cooler housing is too large, the gas is likely to leak through the gap between the cooler core and the inner cavity of the housing, so that some of the gas to be cooled is directly discharged without being cooled by the cooler core, resulting in a poor seal. Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0003] Therefore, the embodiments of the present disclosure propose a seal assembly for a cooler and the cooler to solve the leakage problem of cooled gas in the prior art and the difficulty of processing due to the large size of the cooler. [Means for solving the problem]

[0005] In some embodiments, the two base plates are connected by a lead screw that is used to encase the cooler core between the two base plates.

[0006] In some embodiments, the two seal assemblies are provided symmetrically at the two ends along the width of the base plate.

[0007] In some embodiments, the sealing strip extends the length of the base plate.

[0008] In some embodiments, a resilient gasket is provided on the pressure plate.

[0009] In some embodiments, the sealing strip is secured between the pressure plate and the base plate by a first fastener.

[0010] In some embodiments, a first through hole is provided on the base plate, and a first fastener passes through the first through hole to secure the sealing strip.

[0011] In some embodiments, when there are multiple first through holes, the first through holes are spaced apart along the length of the base plate.

[0012] In some embodiments, at least one second through hole is provided on the downwardly protruding portion at each end along the width of the base plate, and a lead screw passes through the second through hole to connect the two base plates.

[0013] In some embodiments, when there are multiple second through holes, the second through holes are spaced apart along the length of the base plate.

[0014] In some embodiments, when there are multiple lead screws, the lead screws extend through corresponding second through holes and are parallel to one another.

[0015] In some embodiments, the lead screw is secured by a second fastener that passes through the second through hole.

[0016] An embodiment of the present disclosure also provides a cooler, comprising a housing, a cooler core, and a sealing device according to any of the above technical solutions.

[0017] The embodiment of the present disclosure can realize the sealing between the cooler core and the housing of the cooler by the retractability of the seal assembly on the seal device, and ensures that all the gas to be cooled can be exhausted after cooling through the cooler core of the cooler. Furthermore, the housing of the cooler does not need to be machined to ensure the tolerance, which greatly reduces the difficulty and cost of machining the housing of the cooler and is easy to achieve in terms of production.

[0022] For clarity and conciseness in the following description of the embodiments of the present disclosure, the present disclosure omits detailed descriptions of known features and components.

[0023] The first embodiment of the present disclosure includes a sealing device for a cooler, as shown in Fig. 1, which shows the structure of a cooler 100. The cooler 100 in this specification can be an interstage cooler of a centrifugal compressor, and the cooler serves to cool the high-temperature air compressed by an upper stage head with cooling water before the air enters the next stage head.

[0024] In this case, the cooler 100 has a housing 101. As shown in FIG. 2, the cooler core 20 is provided inside the housing 101 of the cooler 100, and the gas to be cooled passes through the cooler core 20 inside the housing 101 to achieve cooling. In this case, the sealing device 10 related to the embodiment of the present disclosure is provided between the housing 101 and the cooler core 20 of the cooler. In this case, the sealing device 10 is used to seal the cooler core 20 of the cooler 100 in the housing 101 and to avoid the gas to be cooled being unable to pass through the cooler core 20 for cooling due to leakage from the gap between the cooler core 20 and the housing 101.

[0025] 2 and with reference to FIG. 3, in this case, a housing 101 is fitted to the outside of the cooler core 20, and the housing 101 includes at least two mounting plates 30 generally provided opposite each other, the mounting plates 30 being respectively provided on each of the two end faces of the cooler core 20. Thus, in the cooler 100, the sealing device 10 includes two base plates 1, each provided on both sides of the cooler core 20. In this case, the base plates 1 can be provided, for example, on the upper side and the lower side of the cooler core 20, respectively, and the base plates 1 are arranged along the length direction of the cooler core 20, and their length and width are determined based on the length and width of the cooler core 20 to be arranged.

[0026] Furthermore, a base plate 1 is provided on both sides of the cooler core 20 within the cooler 100, i.e. between the two mounting plates 30. In this case, the two base plates 1 are provided parallel to each other. These two base plates 1 in combination with the two mounting plates 30 result in a rectangular cavity, whereby a wrapped seal of the cooler core 20 within the housing 101 is realized.

[0027] In the embodiment of the present disclosure, the base plates 1 are provided on the upper and lower sides of the cooler core 20, respectively. In this case, the housing 101 of the cooler 100 does not need to be machined into a rectangular shape, and only needs to provide two base plates 1 to cooperate with the sealing device 10, so that the tolerance of the internal cavity is guaranteed without machining, and the difficulty and cost of machining the housing 101 of the cooler 100 and the cooler core 20 are greatly reduced, making it easier to produce.

[0028] Further, as shown in Figures 1, 3 and 4, Figure 1 shows a schematic diagram of the joint between the base plate 1 and the housing 101 of the cooler 100, and Figure 3 shows a schematic diagram of the joint between the base plate 1 and the mounting plate 30, in which the base plate 1 located on the upper side and the base plate 1 located on the lower side have the same structure. A seal assembly is provided near at least one end in the width direction of the base plate 1 to realize a seal between the base plate 1 and the housing 101 of the cooler 100. Of course, it is also possible to provide two seal assemblies symmetrically at both ends of the base plate 1 to promote sealing in both directions.

[0029] The installation position of each seal assembly near the end of the base plate 1 is determined based on the position of the joint of the base plate 1 with respect to the mounting plate 30 of the housing 101. In this case, the seal assembly serves to enable the sealing of the gap between the cooler core 20 and the housing 101 of the cooler 100 by the seal assembly when the base plate 1 is provided on both sides of the cooler core 20 to realize the enveloping seal of the cooler core 20, thereby ensuring that the gas to be cooled does not leak through the gap by the sealing device 10, and further ensuring that all the gas to be cooled can be completely cooled through the cooler core 20 without leaking through the gap between the cooler core 20 and the housing 101 of the cooler 100.

[0030] Specifically, as shown in Figs. 3 and 4 in conjunction with Fig. 5, the seal assembly includes a seal strip 2, a pressure plate 3, and a first fastener. The seal strip 2 in this specification is provided extending along the length direction of the base plate 1 with a certain elasticity or resilience, and can be a rubber adhesive strip, preferably a fluororubber adhesive strip. The pressure plate 3 in this specification can be a stainless steel metal plate. The pressure plate 3 is used to press the seal strip 2 against the base plate 1 to prevent the seal strip 2 from moving. In this case, the seal strip can be fixed between the pressure plate 3 and the base plate 1 by the first fastener.

[0031] Further, in order to fix the seal assembly to the end of the base plate 1 along the width direction, a first through hole is provided at a position close to the end of the base plate 1, a seal strip 2 is provided at a position on the outer surface of the base plate 1 corresponding to the first through hole, and a pressure plate 3 is provided on the seal strip 2. Thus, the seal strip 2 is fixed near the end of the base plate 1 by a first fastener that passes through the pressure plate 3, the seal strip 2 and the first through hole in order, and the first fastener can be, for example, a combination of a bolt 5 and a nut 6.

[0032] Subject to ensuring alignment between the first fastener and the first through hole, the sealing strip 2 is pressed by the pressure plate 3 and the base plate 1 and fixed, for example, by a bolt 5 passing through the first through hole and connecting with a nut 6.

[0033] Furthermore, multiple first through holes can be used to secure the sealing strip 2. When multiple first through holes are present, the multiple first through holes are spaced apart along the length of the base plate 1.

[0034] In this manner, by simply fitting, for example, a stainless steel metal plate and a rubber sealing strip onto the base plate 1 and then fastening with bolts and nuts, the sealing device 10 is easy and inexpensive to manufacture.

[0035] Furthermore, it is possible to provide an elastic gasket 4 on the pressure plate 3. In this case, the elastic gasket 4 can be used to adjust the degree of pressing the sealing strip 2, so that, for example, the interaction of the first fastener, the elastic gasket 4 and the pressure plate 3 promotes a firm fixing of the sealing strip 2 on the base plate 1, prevents wear during fixing, and reduces noise.

[0036] Furthermore, two base plates 1 are provided on both sides of the cooler core 20 of the cooler 100, respectively. At least one lead screw 7 is provided between the two base plates 1 to provide two base plates 1 relatively parallel to each other between the two mounting plates 30 of the housing 101 so as to realize an enveloping seal of the cooler core 20 by combining the two mounting plates 30, and to adjust the distance between these two base plates 1 to adjust the seal according to different dimensions of the cooler core 20. In this case, the two base plates 1 are connected by the lead screw 7, and the lead screw 7 is used to envelop the cooler core 20 between the two base plates 1.

[0037] Specifically, at least one second through-hole is provided on each of the downward protrusions at both ends of the base plate 1 along the width direction to encase the cooler core 20 and adjust the distance between the two base plates 1 by the lead screw 7. Each of the second through-holes corresponds to one lead screw 7, and the lead screw 7 penetrates the second through-hole of each base plate 1, so that the two opposite base plates 1 of each cooler core 20 can be connected through the lead screw 7, and the distance between the two opposite base plates 1 can be adjusted by the movement of the base plate 1 relative to the lead screw 7. Therefore, on the one hand, the distance between the two base plates 1 can be adjusted according to various dimensions of the cooler core 20. And on the other hand, after the cooler core 20 is installed, it is possible to realize the opposite pressing on the cooler core 20 with the two base plates 1. That is, by adjusting the movement of the base plate 1 relative to the lead screw 7, the two base plates 1 on both sides of the cooler core 20 move in opposite directions to create a press on the cooler core 20 and to achieve a seal against the housing 101 of the cooler 100 by the sealing strip 2.

[0038] Furthermore, a plurality of second through holes may be provided to more closely secure the two opposite base plates 1. When a plurality of second through holes are present, the plurality of second through holes are spaced apart along the length of the base plate 1.

[0039] When there are multiple second through holes, the two base plates 1 are coupled to each other by multiple lead screws 7, and the multiple lead screws 7 are arranged parallel to each other.

[0040] In addition, a second fastener can be provided on the lead screw 7, which cooperates with the second through hole for fixing the lead screw 7, so as to produce a press-in on the cooler core 20 after the relative position between the lead screw 7 and the base plate 1 is adjusted. In this case, the second fastener can also be selected as a nut.

[0041] Therefore, by mounting the base plate 1 directly on the outside of the cooler core 20, the sealing action is realized by the pressing between the seal assembly located near the end of the base plate 1 in the width direction and the housing 101 of the cooler 100, so that the seal between the cooler core 20 and the housing 101 of the cooler 100 is realized by the retractability of the seal strip 2, which ensures that all the gas to be cooled is exhausted after cooling through the cooler core 20. The installation is easy and no further design or modification to the cooler core 20 is required.

[0042] A second embodiment of the present disclosure relates to a cooler as shown in Fig. 1 comprising a housing 101, a cooler core 20 and a sealing device 10. The sealing device 10 comprises two base plates 1 provided on both sides of the cooler core 20. A sealing assembly is provided along the width of the base plate 1 near at least one end. The sealing assembly comprises a sealing strip 2 and a pressure plate 3, the sealing strip 2 being fixed to the base plate 1 by the pressure plate 3.

[0043] The cooling seal arrangement according to the embodiments of the present disclosure may be installed directly on the outside of the cooling core of the cooling device, and the sealing action may be achieved by a press fit between the seal assembly and the housing of the cooling device. Thus, the cooling seal arrangement using the embodiments of the present disclosure may be installed and removed as follows: (1) clamping the seal strip 2 with the pressure plate 3 and base plate 1 while ensuring that all the first through holes (i.e., the bolt hole locations) are aligned; (2) The pressure plate 3, the base plate 1, and the seal strip 2 are fixed together using bolts 5, nuts 6, and an elastic gasket 4; (3) Repeat steps (2) and (3) to attach the sealing strips 2 to both sides of the two base plates 1; (4) Both base plates 1 are placed on the upper and lower sides of the cooler core 20, respectively; (5) Using the lead screws 7 and nuts, the base plate 1 is connected and placed onto the top and bottom sides of the cooler core 20, thereby completing the process of attaching the base plate 1.

[0044] Disassembly of the external cooler sealing device can, of course, be quickly completed by following the installation procedure in reverse.

[0045] The embodiment of the present disclosure can realize the seal between the base plate, the cooler core, and the housing in the cooler by the retractability of the seal assembly in the seal device, and ensures that all the gas to be cooled is exhausted after passing through the cooler core of the cooler. Furthermore, the cooler housing does not need to be machined to ensure the tolerance, which greatly reduces the difficulty and cost of machining the cooler housing and is easy to achieve in terms of production.
