Abstract
To achieve transfer of a prescribed number of articles without causing deficiency thereof with article transfer means even when empty holding means with no articles occurs.SOLUTION: When it is detected that an empty carrier 4 (second) with no container 2 is included in four carriers 4 grouped at a grouping position G, a caser 11 takes out a container 2 of first, third and fourth carriers, using a gripper 17a corresponding to the carrier 4 except second empty carrier 4. Subsequently, the first to fourth carriers 4 are moved to the downstream side of the grouping position G, moves a fifth carrier 4 with a new container 2 held to a position at which the second empty carrier 4 was positioned, and the caser 11 takes out the container 2 using the second gripper 17a with no container 2 held.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
