Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The structure of the truck bed varies depending on its purpose of use. This relates to the field of the tailgate of a three-way open flat body.
Background Art
[0002] Conventional tailgates of three-way open truck beds have an L-shaped handle installed, but it unexpectedly requires a lot of force and is very difficult to use.
Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0003] The L-shaped handle attached to the conventional three-way open tailgate of a truck has defects. It takes time to lock and unlock by shaking and shifting the handle, and there is a defect that vehicles with poor maintenance cannot be operated without great force.
Means for Solving the Problems
[0004] Since an opening and closing device that can be operated with one hand is attached above the tailgate of the truck, the remaining hand can support the tailgate itself.
Effects of the Invention
[0005] In the present invention, the operation time is significantly shortened and the work efficiency is improved. Also, It is always locked by the force of the coil spring and has high safety. Even women can operate it without hesitation.
[0006] In the present invention, the conventional L-shaped handle part is replaced by a fixing bracket, resulting in a neater design and increased safety. When the grip part of the tailgate is squeezed, it unlocks by coming out of the hole of the J-shaped fitting, and when the hand is released, both ends of the bar handle enter the hole of the J-shaped fitting 13 for a convenient locking operation.
Brief Description of the Drawings

[Figure 3] Plan view showing the tailgate locked to the side gate. [Figure 4] Three-dimensional diagram of J-shaped bracket and sway stopper. [Figure 5] 3D diagram showing main components [Figure 6] Side view showing the main components [Modes for carrying out the invention]
[0008] In this invention, the conventional L-shaped handle is replaced with a retaining clip, resulting in a cleaner design and increased safety. The tailgate unlocks when the grip is squeezed and disengaged from the hole in the J-shaped bracket, and locks when the grip is released and the tip of the bar handle 3 re-enters the hole in the J-shaped bracket 13.
[0009] Perforated J-shaped brackets 13 are welded to the rear of both side gates 2, and perforated anti-sway brackets 14 are similarly welded to both ends of the tailgate 1. As the J-shaped brackets 13 are securely held in place by the anti-sway brackets 14, the side gates 2 and tailgate 1 are designed to prevent them from opening outwards. (Figures 3 and 4)
[0010] To securely fasten the tailgate 1 to the side gate 2, both ends of the bar handle 3 were inserted into the holes of the J-shaped bracket 13, and outward pressure was applied by the force of a coil spring to prevent the bar handle 3 from falling out of the holes in the J-shaped bracket. To achieve this, a flat washer 10 and a cotter pin 8 were used to create a hole 7 in the bar handle at the position where the coil spring 4 was compressed, and the cotter pin 8 was passed through to secure the coil spring 4 to the bar handle 3. (Figures 2 and 3)
[0011] The steps for attaching the receiving fitting 5 to the right side from the center of the tailgate are as follows. Drill a hole in the tailgate to receive the receiving fitting. Pass the bolt 9 through the hole A of the receiving fitting 5 and protrude it to the cargo bed side (inside). Pass the flat washer 10 and the spring washer 11 in sequence through the tip portion of the protruding bolt and tighten with the nut 12. (Figs. 5, Fig. 6)
[0012] While compressing the spring 4 outward, place the right-angled portion of the bar handle 3 on the recess of the receiving fitting 5. Next, cover the receiving fitting 5 with the pressing fitting 6, protrude the tip of the bolt 9 from the hole B of the receiving fitting 5 to the cargo bed side (inside) of the tailgate 1, and similarly tighten and fix the flat washer 10 and the spring washer 11 with the nut 12. (Fig. 1)
[0013] As shown in Fig. 1, the bar handle 3, the spring 4, the receiving fitting 5, and the pressing fitting 6 are set parts. Make sure to clearly determine whether the grip portions of the left and right bar handles 3 are held to unlock or released by letting go of the hand to lock.
Industrial Applicability
[0014] It is mainly used for the three-way opening flat body of a truck, but the cargo bed can also be utilized alone, and in addition, it can also be used as an opening and closing device for a storage or the like.
