Abstract
Description
Work support device and work support method
[0001] This specification discloses techniques relating to a work assistance device and a work assistance method.
[0002] The tape loading device described in Patent Document 1 includes an acquisition unit, a management device, and a control device. The acquisition unit acquires identification information of a feeder held on a feeder holding table and identification information of a reel around which a carrier tape containing multiple components is wound. When the acquisition unit acquires the feeder identification information and the reel identification information, the management device determines whether or not to permit loading of tape into the corresponding feeder based on the equipment management information. The control device controls the operation of the loading unit based on the determination result by the management device of whether or not to permit loading of carrier tape into the feeder.
[0003] International Publication No. 2021 / 199288
[0004] The carrier tape is spirally wound around the reel. The leading end of the carrier tape can be fixed to the outer periphery of the spirally wound tape by a fixing tape. When setting a reel with the leading end of the carrier tape fixed by the fixing tape in a feeder, the fixing tape needs to be peeled off. Depending on the type and condition of the fixing tape, a fixing tape peeling device that peels off the fixing tape may have difficulty peeling off the fixing tape, and it may be necessary to assign the peeling work to different workers, for example.
[0005] In view of the above circumstances, this specification discloses a work support device and a work support method that are capable of distributing a peeling task for peeling off a fixing tape.
[0006] This specification discloses a work support device including a reel holding unit, a trial unit, and a distribution unit. The reel holding unit holds a reel in which a carrier tape is spirally wound around a base tape having a housing section for accommodating components, with a cover tape affixed to the housing section, and the outer periphery of the spiral tape and the tip end of the cover tape are fixed by a fixing tape. The trial unit attempts to detect a non-adhesive portion on the tip end side of the fixing tape of the reel held by the reel holding unit, where no adhesive is provided to fix the fixing tape to the outer periphery of the spiral tape. The distribution unit assigns a peeling operation to peel the fixing tape based on the detection result of the non-adhesive portion by the trial unit.
[0007] This specification also discloses a work support method including a reel holding step, a trial step, and a distribution step. The reel holding step holds a reel in which a carrier tape is spirally wound around a base tape having a housing section for accommodating components, with a cover tape affixed to the housing section, and the outer periphery of the spiral tape and the tip end of the cover tape are fixed by a fixing tape. The trial step attempts to detect a non-adhesive portion on the tip end side of the fixing tape of the reel held by the reel holding step, where the adhesive is not provided to fix the fixing tape to the outer periphery of the spiral tape. The distribution step allocates a peeling operation for peeling the fixing tape based on the detection result of the non-adhesive portion in the trial step.
[0008] This specification discloses a technical idea in claim 6 of the claims originally attached to the application (hereinafter referred to as the "original claims"), where "the work support device according to claim 2" is changed to "the work support device according to any one of claims 2 to 5." This specification also discloses a technical idea in claim 7 of the original claims, where "the work support device according to claim 2" is changed to "the work support device according to any one of claims 2 to 6." This specification also discloses a technical idea in claim 8 of the original claims, where "the work support device according to claim 2" is changed to "the work support device according to any one of claims 2 to 7."
[0009] This specification also discloses the technical idea of changing "the work support device according to claim 1" to "the work support device according to any one of claims 1 to 8" in claim 9 originally claimed. Furthermore, this specification also discloses the technical idea of changing "the work support device according to claim 1" to "the work support device according to any one of claims 1 to 9" in claim 10 originally claimed.
[0010] According to the above-described task support device, it is possible to allocate the task of peeling off the fixing tape based on the detection result of the non-adhesive portion. What has been described above about the task support device can also be said about the task support method.

[0012] 1. Embodiment 1-1. Configuration Example of Setup Apparatus 10 The work support apparatus 100 can be applied to, for example, the setup apparatus 10. The setup apparatus 10 sets the reel 70 in the feeder 60 so that components 91 can be supplied from the feeder 60. The setup apparatus 10 can take various forms as long as it can set the reel 70 in the feeder 60.
[0013] 1 to 3, the setup apparatus 10 of this embodiment includes a reel attachment / detachment unit 20, a reel supply unit 30, a reel transfer mechanism 40, and a feeder supply unit 50. For ease of explanation, in these figures, the direction in which the feeder 60 and the reel 70 face each other when the reel 70 is attached to or detached from the feeder 60 is referred to as a first direction (arrow X direction). In addition, within the first direction (arrow X direction), the direction (side) from the feeder 60 toward the reel 70 is referred to as one end side of the first direction (arrow X1 direction), and the direction (side) from the reel 70 toward the feeder 60 is referred to as the other end side of the first direction (arrow X2 direction).
[0014] 3, the direction perpendicular to the first direction (arrow X direction) in the horizontal plane and the sliding direction of the feeder 60 in the slot 21b is defined as the second direction (arrow Y direction). In addition, within the second direction (arrow Y direction), the sliding direction (side) when the feeder 60 is removed is defined as one end side of the second direction (arrow Y1 direction), and the sliding direction (side) when the feeder 60 is attached is defined as the other end side of the second direction (arrow Y2 direction).
[0015] The reel attachment / detachment unit 20 has various components assembled inside the first housing 11. The first housing 11 is a rectangular parallelepiped case with a portion open on the other end side in the first direction (the direction of arrow X2) and one end side in the second direction (the direction of arrow Y1). The reel supply unit 30 is attached to one end side in the second direction (the direction of arrow Y1) of the reel attachment / detachment unit 20. The reel supply unit 30 is formed on a box-shaped base 12 smaller than the first housing 11. The reel transfer mechanism 40 is provided on a plate seat 12b extending from the bottom of the base 12 to the other end side in the first direction (the direction of arrow X2). The feeder supply unit 50 is attached to the other end side in the first direction (the direction of arrow X2) of the reel attachment / detachment unit 20. The feeder supply unit 50 has various components assembled inside a second housing 13 smaller than the first housing 11 and having a storage space 13a at its upper portion.
[0016] The reel attachment / detachment unit 20 includes a feeder holding unit 21, a reel attachment mechanism 22, a tape loading mechanism 23, and a reel removal mechanism 24. As shown in FIG. 2 , the feeder holding unit 21 is disposed inside the first housing 11 at the other end in the first direction (the direction of the arrow X2) and one end in the second direction (the direction of the arrow Y1). The feeder holding unit 21 holds the feeder 60 in a vertical position at the operation position. As shown in FIG. 3 , the feeder holding unit 21 includes a bottom plate 21 a, a slot 21 b, and a support plate 21 c. The slot 21 b is formed in the bottom plate 21 a as a groove extending along the second direction (the direction of the arrow Y). The feeder 60 is inserted into the slot 21 b from the one end in the second direction (the direction of the arrow Y1) toward the other end in the second direction (the direction of the arrow Y2) and held at the operation position. The support plate 21c is provided to stand up from the bottom plate 21a and contacts the side surface of the other end side in the first direction (the direction of the arrow X2) of the feeder 60 at the operation position. The support plate 21c supports the pressing load toward the other end side in the first direction (the direction of the arrow X2) that occurs when the reel 70 is attached to the feeder 60.
[0017] The feeder 60 is detachably mounted on a component mounting machine. As shown in FIG. 3 , the feeder 60 has a main body 71 to which a reel 70, around which a carrier tape 72 is wound, is attached. The feeder 60 transports the carrier tape 72 to supply components 91. Each reel 70 is provided with an identification code for identifying the reel 70. The feeder 60 is formed in a flat box shape. The feeder 60 includes a reel holding shaft 61 located approximately in the center as viewed in the first direction (arrow X direction). The reel holding shaft 61 protrudes from a side panel on the other end side in the first direction (arrow X2 direction) toward one end side in the first direction (arrow X1 direction). The reel holding shaft 61 is inserted into a central hole formed in the center of the reel 70 to detachably and rotatably hold the reel 70.
[0018] As shown in Figures 4 and 5, the carrier tape 72 includes a base tape 72a, a cover tape 72b, and a bottom tape 72c. The base tape 72a is the base of the carrier tape 72 and is provided with a plurality of storage sections 72d and a plurality of feed holes 72e. Each of the storage sections 72d accommodates a component 91. As shown in Figure 4, a predetermined number of storage sections 72d (e.g., three in this figure) from the leading end of the carrier tape 72 are empty storage sections 72d1 in which no component 91 is accommodated. The storage sections 72d are provided at a predetermined pitch in the longitudinal direction of the carrier tape 72 in the center of the width direction of the base tape 72a.
[0019] Each of the multiple feed holes 72e is a through hole and is used when feeding the carrier tape 72 in the feed direction (the other end side of the second direction (direction of arrow Y2)). The multiple feed holes 72e are provided at a predetermined pitch interval in the longitudinal direction of the carrier tape 72, on one end side of the base tape 72a in the width direction. The cover tape 72b closes the storage section 72d of the base tape 72a. The cover tape 72b is attached to the upper surface of both ends of the base tape 72a in the width direction, for example, by adhesive 72f, thermocompression, etc. The bottom tape 72c is attached to the lower surface of the base tape 72a, for example, by adhesive 72f, thermocompression, etc., and prevents the components 91 stored in the storage section 72d from falling out.
[0020] The side plate 62 at one end of the feeder 60 in the first direction (the direction of arrow X1) has an open center to facilitate attachment and detachment of the reel 70. There are multiple types of reels 70 that differ in at least one of the material of the carrier tape 72, the width of the carrier tape 72, and the width of the reel 70, and there are multiple types of feeders 60 that correspond to the multiple types of reels 70. The feeder 60 includes a pick-up position 63, a sprocket 64, and a tape peeling section.
[0021] The pick-up position 63 is located on the other end of the upper surface of the feeder 60 in the second direction (in the direction of arrow Y2), and the component mounting machine picks up the component 91 at the pick-up position 63. The sprocket 64 is rotatably located on one end of the second direction (in the direction of arrow Y1) relative to the pick-up position 63. The teeth of the sprocket 64 engage with the feed holes 72e of the carrier tape 72. The sprocket 64 is intermittently driven by a drive motor to feed the carrier tape 72 at a constant pitch. The tape peeling unit peels the cover tape 72b from the base tape 72a just before the pick-up position 63, allowing the component 91 to be removed. After the carrier tape 72 passes the pick-up position 63, it is cut by a tape cutting device provided in the component mounting machine.
[0022] Each feeder 60 is assigned an identification code that identifies the feeder 60. A feeder control unit is also provided in the feeder 60. The feeder control unit stores the identification code of the feeder 60 and the identification code of the reel 70, and controls the component supply operation. When the feeder 60 is held in the feeder holding unit 21, the connectors of the feeder 60 and the reel 70 are mated, and the feeder control unit is connected to the setup device 10 so as to be able to communicate with each other.
[0023] The reel attachment mechanism 22 is provided on one end side of the feeder holding section 21 in the first direction (the direction of the arrow X1). The reel attachment mechanism 22 uses the reel transfer mechanism 40 to change the reel 70 from a horizontally positioned position to a vertically positioned position and attach the reel 70 to the feeder 60 at the operation position. The reel attachment mechanism 22 includes a pair of guide rails 22a, 22a, a movable table 22b, an attachment member 22c, a placement area 22d, and a temporary placement area 22e. Note that the reel attachment mechanism 22 may be configured such that the mechanism for changing the horizontally positioned reel 70 to a vertically positioned position and the mechanism for attaching the vertically positioned reel 70 to the feeder 60 are separate.
[0024] The pair of guide rails 22a, 22a extend in the first direction (arrow X direction) at approximately the center of the first housing 11 in the second direction (arrow Y direction) and are arranged parallel to and spaced apart from each other. The movable platform 22b extends in the second direction (arrow Y direction) and is provided so as to straddle the upper sides of the pair of guide rails 22a, 22a. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 , the movable platform 22b moves along the pair of guide rails 22a, 22a, and reciprocates between a standby position provided at one end side in the first direction (arrow X1 direction) and the feeder holding unit 21 provided at the other end side in the first direction (arrow X2 direction).
[0025] The attachment member 22c is formed in a square rod shape and extends upward from the movable base 22b. The attachment member 22c faces the reel holding shaft 61 of the feeder 60 in the operation position. Specifically, the attachment member 22c is located a predetermined distance from the tip of the reel holding shaft 61 toward one end of the first direction (in the direction of arrow X1). The attachment member 22c swings around a swing shaft 22c1 provided on the movable base 22b between an upright position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 and a horizontal position tilted toward the other end of the first direction (in the direction of arrow X2) (arrow SW1 in FIG. 1). A collection portion 22c2 is provided at the end of the attachment member 22c opposite the end on the swing shaft 22c1 side. The collection portion 22c2 detachably collects the reel 70. The collection section 22c2 may use a claw portion that is inserted into the center hole of the reel 70, a gripping mechanism that grips the periphery of the reel 70, or an adsorption mechanism that adsorbs the reel 70 using negative pressure.
[0026] The placement area 22d is provided on one end side of the pair of guide rails 22a in the first direction (the direction of arrow X1). The reel 70 to be attached is placed in a horizontal position in the placement area 22d. The temporary placement area 22e is provided on the other end side of the pair of guide rails 22a in the first direction (the direction of arrow X2) of the placement area 22d. When the reel attachment mechanism 22 changes the use order of the reels 70, the temporary placement area 22e temporarily places the reels 70 in a horizontal position, thereby changing the use order of the reels 70. The temporary placement area 22e has an area large enough to temporarily place multiple reels 70. The movable platform 22b and the attachment material 22c move above the placement area 22d and the temporary placement area 22e.
[0027] 2, the tape loading mechanism 23 is provided near the feeder holding unit 21. The tape loading mechanism 23 loads the carrier tape 72 in the feeder 60 to prepare it for feeding. For example, an articulated robot may be used as the tape loading mechanism 23. The tape loading mechanism 23 of this embodiment includes an articulated arm 23a, a camera 23b, and a plurality of fingers 23c.
[0028] The articulated arm 23a is capable of performing movements such as arm rotation and bending, and is capable of adjusting the positions and orientations of the camera 23b and the multiple fingers 23c. The camera 23b is provided at the tip of the articulated arm 23a. The camera 23b captures images of the feeder 60 at the work execution position and detects the position and state of the reel 70 and carrier tape 72. The multiple fingers 23c are provided at the tip of the articulated arm 23a alongside the camera 23b. The multiple fingers 23c can grip and release the work object, as well as perform moving operations, twisting operations, and the like.
[0029] The fingers 23c load the carrier tape 72 so that the feed holes 72e at the tip of the carrier tape 72 engage with the sprocket 64, thereby enabling the carrier tape 72 to be fed. The fingers 23c rotate the reel 70 around the reel holding shaft 61 as needed, facilitating the loading operation of the carrier tape 72. During times when the tape loading mechanism 23 is not in operation, the articulated arm 23a is folded and takes a retracted position so as not to interfere with the attachment and detachment operation of the reel 70.
[0030] Reel removal mechanism 24 is provided at one end of feeder holding section 21 in the first direction (the direction of arrow X1), and is positioned above reel attachment mechanism 22. Reel removal mechanism 24 removes reel 70 from feeder 60 at the operation position. Reel removal mechanism 24 includes guide rails 24a, a movable table 24b, a removal member 24c, and a collection box 24d.
[0031] Guide rail 24a is provided near the ceiling of first housing 11 and is formed to extend in the second direction (arrow Y direction). Mobile platform 24b is formed to extend in the first direction (arrow X direction) and is provided below guide rail 24a. As shown in Figures 1 and 2, mobile platform 24b moves along guide rail 24a and reciprocates between a standby position provided at the other end of the second direction (arrow Y2 direction) and feeder holding unit 21.
[0032] The detachable member 24c is formed of a thick plate-like member that is longer than the movable platform 24b and is disposed below the movable platform 24b, extending in the first direction (arrow X direction). The detachable member 24c swings around a swing shaft 24c1 disposed at the other end of the movable platform 24b in the first direction (arrow X2 direction) between the horizontal position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 and a vertical position in which it leans downward (arrow SW2 in FIG. 1). A collection unit 24c2 is disposed at the end of the detachable member 24c opposite the end on the swing shaft 24c1 side. The collection unit 24c2 detachably collects the reel 70. The collection method of the collection unit 24c2 may be the same as or different from that of the collection unit 22c2 of the reel attachment mechanism 22.
[0033] The collection box 24d is provided so as to be positioned below the detachable member 24c when the movable table 24b moves to the standby position. The collection box 24d collects the detached reels 70. The collection box 24d is formed in a box shape that opens upward. Therefore, the collection box 24d can collect the falling reels 70 when the collection portion 24c2 of the detachable member 24c releases the reels 70.
[0034] The reel supply unit 30 includes a detachable reel holder 31. A pair of guide plates 12a, 12a extending along the second direction (arrow Y direction) are provided on one end side (arrow X1 direction) and the other end side (arrow X2 direction) of the upper surface of the base 12 in the first direction. The reel holder 31 is placed between the pair of guide plates 12a, 12a of the base 12. As shown in FIG. 2 , the pair of guide plates 12a, 12a have tapered opposing surfaces on the one end side (arrow Y1 direction) in the second direction, such that the distance between the pair of guide plates 12a on the one end side in the second direction (arrow Y1 direction) is longer than the distance between the pair of guide plates on the other end side in the second direction (arrow Y2 direction). This facilitates the operation of inserting the reel holder 31 toward the base 12 from the one end side in the second direction (arrow Y1 direction).
[0035] The reel holding unit 31 holds multiple reels 70 stacked sideways. The reels 70 are not limited to unused reels, but may also be used reels whose carrier tape 72 has been partially used. The reel holding unit 31 includes a horizontally disposed, disk-shaped holding plate 31a and a round, rod-shaped holding shaft 31b extending upward from the center of the holding plate 31a and penetrating the center holes of the reels 70. Therefore, even if reels 70 differ in at least one of diameter and width dimensions, the reel holding unit 31 can hold multiple reels 70 with the holding shaft 31b penetrating the center holes of the multiple reels 70, facilitating removal of the reels 70. An identification code 31c is attached to the top surface of the holding plate 31a. The identification code 31c includes information identifying the reel holding unit 31.
[0036] For example, a worker procures multiple reels 70 based on the work instruction data and performs a stacking operation of stacking the multiple reels 70 on the reel holding unit 31. The work instruction data specifies the work content of the setup operation to be performed by the setup device 10. In other words, the work instruction data associates type information of the multiple reels 70 required as the production of board products by the component mounting machine progresses with type information of the multiple feeders 60 applicable to the reels 70. Note that the multiple reels 70 can also be transported using a known automated guided vehicle or the like.
[0037] The reel transfer mechanism 40 is provided on a plate seat 12b extending from the bottom of the base 12 toward the other end in the first direction (the direction of arrow X2). The reel transfer mechanism 40 includes a support 41, an arm 42, and a collection unit 43. The support 41 stands upright vertically at the other end in the second direction (the direction of arrow Y2) of the plate seat 12b. The arm 42 is provided so as to be able to move up and down relative to the support 41. Furthermore, the arm 42 is provided so as to be able to rotate in a horizontal plane around a rotation axis 44 adjacent to the support 41.
[0038] The collection unit 43 is provided so as to be extendable and retractable relative to the arm 42. The collection unit 43 detachably collects the reel 70. The collection method of the collection unit 43 may be the same as or different from that of the collection unit 22c2 of the reel attachment mechanism 22 and the collection unit 24c2 of the reel detachment mechanism 24. The collection unit 43 is also provided with a code reader. The code reader reads the identification code 31c of the reel holding unit 31. Furthermore, the code reader can read the identification code of the top reel 70.
[0039] The reel transfer mechanism 40 functions as part of the reel attachment mechanism 22. Specifically, the reel transfer mechanism 40 removes the reel 70 from the reel holding unit 31 by driving the arm 42 and the collection unit 43. Furthermore, the reel transfer mechanism 40 places the removed reel 70 in a horizontal position in the placement area 22d or the temporary placement area 22e by driving the arm 42 and the collection unit 43. The reel transfer mechanism 40 uses the multiple reels 70 stacked in the reel holding unit 31 in order, starting from the top.
[0040] The feeder supply unit 50 includes a detachable feeder housing unit 51 and a feeder conveying unit 52. As shown in Fig. 2, the storage space 13a in the upper part of the second housing 13 is open at one end in the second direction (the direction of the arrow Y1), and can store multiple (e.g., two in the figure) feeder housing units 51 lined up along the first direction (the direction of the arrow X). As shown in Fig. 1, the bottom surface partitioning the storage space 13a is provided with multiple roller conveyors 13b extending along the first direction (the direction of the arrow X), facilitating the operation of storing the feeder housing units 51.
[0041] The feeder housing section 51 is formed in a box shape with one end in the second direction (the direction of the arrow Y1) open. A plurality of slots having the same shape as the slots 21b of the feeder holding section 21 are formed in the bottom surface of the feeder housing section 51. The feeder housing section 51 can accommodate a plurality of feeders 60 arranged vertically along the first direction (the direction of the arrow X). When the plurality of feeders 60 are accommodated in the feeder housing section 51 and the feeder housing section 51 is properly accommodated in the accommodation space 13a, the connectors of the feeders 60 and the feeder housing section 51 are fitted together, and the plurality of feeder control units are connected to the setup device 10 so as to be able to communicate with each other.
[0042] Each feeder housing unit 51 is assigned an identification code that identifies it. For example, a worker procures multiple feeders 60 to be used based on the work instruction data and performs the housing work of housing the feeder housing units 51. The number of feeder housing units 51 that can be housed in the housing space 13a may be one, or may be three or more. Furthermore, a known unmanned guided vehicle or the like may be used to transport the multiple feeders 60.
[0043] A guide rail 13c is provided at the bottom of one end in the second direction (in the direction of arrow Y1) of storage space 13a of second housing 13. Guide rail 13c is provided across substantially the entire storage space 13a in the first direction (in the direction of arrow X), and is provided so as to extend to one end in the second direction (in the direction of arrow Y1) of feeder holding unit 21. In addition, a feeder conveying unit 52 is provided on guide rail 13c. Feeder conveying unit 52 moves along guide rail 13c, reciprocating between feeder accommodating unit 51 and feeder holding unit 21.
[0044] The feeder conveying unit 52 is formed in a box shape with an opening at the other end in the second direction (the direction of arrow Y2). The feeder conveying unit 52 includes a built-in space that temporarily houses the feeder 60 and a feeder operation mechanism that loads or unloads the feeder 60 into or from the built-in space via the opening. Therefore, the feeder conveying unit 52 can load or unload the feeder 60 from the feeder storage unit 51 and the feeder holding unit 21. An openable safety fence is provided at one end of the reel supplying unit 30 and the feeder supplying unit 50 in the second direction (the direction of arrow Y1), preventing workers from approaching the reel supplying unit 30 and the feeder supplying unit 50.
[0045] 1-2. Example of Control of Setup Device 10 The setup device 10 controls the feeder transport unit 52 to transport the feeder 60 corresponding to the uppermost reel 70 in the reel holding unit 31 (step S1 shown in FIG. 6). The feeder transport unit 52 pulls out the feeder 60 from the feeder storage unit 51 and stores it therein, then moves to the feeder holding unit 21 and inserts the stored feeder 60 into the feeder holding unit 21. As a result, the feeder 60 is held in the operation position, and the identification code of the feeder 60 is read.
[0046] If there is no feeder 60 applicable to the uppermost reel 70 of the reel holding unit 31, the reel 70 is placed in the temporary placement area 22e by the reel transfer mechanism 40. The above placement is repeated until an applicable feeder 60 is found, and the feeder 60 corresponding to the uppermost reel 70 of the reel holding unit 31 is inserted into the feeder holding unit 21. After the control shown in step S1, the setup device 10 executes a first series of control shown in steps S2 to S5 and a second series of control shown in steps S11 to S14 in parallel.
[0047] In the first series of control, the setup device 10 checks the status of the reel 70 based on the read identification code of the feeder 60 or the reel 70 and changes the control depending on the status of the reel 70 (step S2). Specifically, if the feeder 60 has previously been used in a component mounting machine, the feeder 60 may be equipped with a reel 70 in use, with the carrier tape 72 partially used. In this case, the tape loading mechanism 23 performs a fastening process to secure the leading end of the carrier tape 72 with tape or the like to prevent slack in the carrier tape 72 (step S3). At this time, the tape loading mechanism 23 can rewind the carrier tape 72 onto the reel 70 as needed. Thereafter, the tape loading mechanism 23 bends the articulated arm 23a to assume a retracted position.
[0048] Next, the reel removal mechanism 24 removes the reel 70 from the feeder 60 (step S4). Specifically, the moving platform 24b moves from the standby position to the feeder holding unit 21. Then, when the detachable member 24c is swung from a horizontal position to a vertical position, the collecting unit 24c2 contacts the reel 70 and collects the reel 70. Next, when the detachable member 24c returns from the vertical position to a horizontal position, the collecting unit 24c2 removes the reel 70 from the reel holding shaft 61 and holds it in a horizontal position. At this time, the setup device 10 deletes the identification code of the reel 70 from the memory unit of the feeder control unit of the feeder 60. Furthermore, the setup device 10 transmits the identification code of the feeder 60 from which the reel 70 was removed to a higher-level management device. At this time, the setup device 10 may transmit the identification code of the removed reel 70 together with the identification code of the feeder 60 to the higher-level management device.
[0049] Next, the reel removal mechanism 24 retrieves the reel 70 (step S5). Specifically, first, the movable table 24b moves from the feeder holding unit 21 to a standby position. Then, the collection unit 24c2 releases the reel 70. As a result, the released reel 70 drops into the collection box 24d and is collected. Once the reel 70 has been collected, the first-line control enters a standby state until the second-line control is completed.
[0050] It is possible that the feeder 60 is equipped with a used reel 70 in which all of the carrier tape 72 has been used (step S2). In this case, the control shown in step S3 is omitted from the first-line control, and the controls shown in steps S4 and S5 are executed. It is also possible that the feeder 60 is not equipped with a reel 70 (step S2). In this case, the control shown in steps S3 to S5 is omitted from the first-line control.
[0051] In the second series of control, the reel transfer mechanism 40 uses the collection unit 43 to collect the top reel 70 from the reel holding unit 31 and place it in the placement area 22d (step S11). Then, the reel transfer mechanism 40 returns the collection unit 43 to above the reel holding unit 31. If an applicable feeder 60 does not exist, the reel transfer mechanism 40 places the reel 70 in the temporary placement area 22e.
[0052] Next, the reel attachment mechanism 22 changes the orientation of the reel 70 in the placement area 22d (step S12). Specifically, first, the attachment member 22c is shifted from an upright position to a horizontal position, and the collection unit 22c2 contacts the reel 70 to collect it. Then, the attachment member 22c is returned from a horizontal position to an upright position, and the collection unit 22c2 changes the reel 70 from a sideways position to a vertically placed position and holds it. When using the reel 70 in the temporary placement area 22e, the moving platform 22b moves a predetermined distance toward the other end of the first direction (in the direction of arrow X2) before the attachment member 22c shifts from an upright position to a horizontal position. The second-line control remains in a standby state until a termination condition indicating the completion of the first-line control in step S4 is met. This prevents interference between the reel attachment mechanism 22 and the reel removal mechanism 24.
[0053] When the above-mentioned termination conditions are met, the reel attachment mechanism 22 attaches the reel 70 to the feeder 60 (step S13). Specifically, while the collection unit 22c2 holds the reel 70 in a vertical position, the movable table 22b moves to the feeder holding unit 21. As a result, the reel 70 moves toward the reel holding shaft 61 and is attached to the reel holding shaft 61. The movement of the movable table 22b can be performed simultaneously with the movement of the movable table 24b to the standby position.
[0054] When the attachment of the reel 70 is complete, the setup device 10 stores the identification code of the reel 70 in the feeder control unit of the feeder 60 to which the reel 70 is attached. Furthermore, the setup device 10 associates the identification code of the feeder 60 with the identification code of the reel 70 mounted on the feeder 60 and transmits them to a higher-level management device. The movable base 22b returns to the standby position. Next, the tape loading mechanism 23 loads the carrier tape 72 until the feed holes 72e of the carrier tape 72 engage with the teeth of the sprocket 64 (step S14).
[0055] When the first and second series of control are completed, the feeder transport unit 52 pulls out the feeder 60 from the feeder holding unit 21, stores it therein, moves to the feeder storage unit 51, and inserts the stored feeder 60 into the feeder storage unit 51 (step S6). This completes the setup work for one feeder 60. The setup device 10 determines whether the setup work for all feeders 60 is complete (step S7). If the setup work for all feeders 60 is complete (Yes in step S7), the control by the setup device 10 temporarily ends. If the setup work for all feeders 60 is not complete (No in step S7), the control by the setup device 10 returns to the control shown in step S1, and the previously described control is repeated until the setup work for all feeders 60 is complete.
[0056] When the control by the setup device 10 is completed, for example, an operator transports the feeder housing unit 51 housing the set-up feeder 60 to the component mounting machine and performs setup change of the feeder 60. If a reel 70 is placed in the temporary storage area 22e, the operator can place a feeder 60 applicable to the reel 70 in the feeder housing unit 51, and the reel 70 becomes usable. Furthermore, an unused reel 70 left in the temporary storage area 22e is returned to the reel return unit 32 by the reel transfer mechanism 40 and collected by the operator.
[0057] The reel return section 32 is provided between the reel holding section 31 and the placement area 22d, and may be configured in the same manner as the reel holding section 31. That is, the reel return section 32 includes a horizontally disposed disk-shaped holding plate 32a, a round bar-shaped holding shaft 32b that extends upward from the center of the holding plate 32a and passes through the center hole of the reel 70, and an identification code 32c affixed to the upper surface of the holding plate 32a. The above-described collection work by an operator can also be automated using a known automatic guided vehicle or the like.
[0058] 1-3. Configuration example of the work support device 100 As shown in Fig. 3, a carrier tape 72 is spirally wound around a reel 70. As shown in Fig. 7, for example, the tip side of the carrier tape 72 of an unused reel 70 is formed so that a cover tape 72b protrudes from a base tape 72a. In addition, a tip portion 72b1 of the cover tape 72b and an outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 are fixed by a fixing tape 74.
[0059] 7 is a schematic diagram of the reel 70 as viewed in the direction of the rotation axis, and for convenience of explanation, shows a state in which the fixing tape 74 has been peeled off from the outer periphery 73a of the spirally wound tape 73 and the leading end of the carrier tape 72 has been stretched. As described above, the carrier tape 72 of a reel 70 in use is fastened. In this case, the leading end of the carrier tape 72 can be fastened by the fixing tape 74, just like an unused reel 70.
[0060] Thus, when setting the reel 70, in which the leading end side of the carrier tape 72 is fixed by the fixing tape 74, in the feeder 60, it is necessary to peel off the fixing tape 74. The fixing tape peeling device 80 that peels off the fixing tape 74 may have difficulty peeling off the fixing tape 74 depending on the type and condition of the fixing tape 74, and it may be necessary to assign the peeling work to, for example, a worker. For this reason, the work support device 100 is provided. The work support device 100 can assign the peeling work of peeling off the fixing tape 74.
[0061] Specifically, the work support device 100 includes a reel holding unit 31, a trial unit 101, and a distribution unit 102. The work support device 100 may also include a storage unit 103. The work support device 100 may also include a guidance unit 104. As shown in FIG. 8 , the work support device 100 of the embodiment includes the reel holding unit 31, the trial unit 101, the distribution unit 102, the storage unit 103, and the guidance unit 104.
[0062] The reel holding unit 31 holds a reel 70 in which an outer periphery 73a of a spirally wound tape 73 on which a carrier tape 72 is spirally wound and a tip end 72b1 of a cover tape 72b are fixed by a fixing tape 74. The reel holding unit 31 may take various forms as long as it is able to hold the reel 70. As described above, the reel holding unit 31 of the embodiment holds a plurality of reels 70 stacked on their sides.
[0063] The trial unit 101, the distribution unit 102, the storage unit 103, and the guidance unit 104 can be provided in various control devices, management devices, etc. For example, at least some of the trial unit 101, the distribution unit 102, the storage unit 103, and the guidance unit 104 can be provided in the control device 19 of the setup device 10. At least some of the trial unit 101, the distribution unit 102, the storage unit 103, and the guidance unit 104 can also be provided in a management device 110 that manages the setup device 10, etc. At least some of the trial unit 101, the distribution unit 102, the storage unit 103, and the guidance unit 104 can also be formed on the cloud. In the work support device 100 of the embodiment, the trial unit 101 is provided in the control device 19 of the setup device 10, and the distribution unit 102, the storage unit 103, and the guidance unit 104 are provided in the management device 110.
[0064] The work support device 100 of the embodiment executes control in accordance with the flowchart shown in FIG. 9. The trial unit 101 performs the process shown in step S25. The distribution unit 102 performs the judgments and processes shown in steps S30 to S32 and step S36. The storage unit 103 performs the processes shown in steps S21 and S37. Judgments and processes other than those described above are performed by the setup device 10, the management device 110, and workers (including engineers). In the figure, the judgments and processes performed by the setup device 10, the management device 110, and workers are separated by dashed lines. The matters described in this specification can be selected and applied as appropriate. The matters described in this specification can be combined as appropriate.
[0065] 1-3-1. Trial Section 101 If adhesive is applied over the entire surface of the fixing tape 74 to which the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 is fixed, it becomes difficult to peel the fixing tape 74. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 7 , the fixing tape 74 has an adhesive portion 74a and a non-adhesive portion 74b. The adhesive portion 74a refers to the portion where adhesive is applied. The adhesive is applied to the base end portion of the fixing tape 74 on the surface of the fixing tape 74 to which the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 is fixed. The adhesive portion 74a fixes the tip portion 72b1 of the cover tape 72b to the fixing tape 74. The adhesive portion 74a also fixes the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 to the fixing tape 74.
[0066] The non-adhesive portion 74b refers to a portion of the tip side of the fixing tape 74 where no adhesive is provided to secure the fixing tape 74 to the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73. Since no adhesive is provided in the non-adhesive portion 74b, it is not fixed to the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 and can be gripped. Thus, when the fixing tape 74 has the non-adhesive portion 74b, the fixing tape separating device 80 can grip the non-adhesive portion 74b and peel the fixing tape 74. However, depending on the type of reel 70, the manufacturer of the reel 70, etc., the fixing tape 74 may not have the non-adhesive portion 74b. Also, there may be cases where the non-adhesive portion 74b is not long enough to be gripped by the fixing tape separating device 80. Furthermore, there may be cases where the non-adhesive portion 74b is bent. In these cases, the fixing tape separating device 80 cannot grip the non-adhesive portion 74b, making it difficult to peel the fixing tape 74.
[0067] Therefore, the trial unit 101 attempts to detect the non-adhesive portion 74b of the reel 70 held by the reel holding unit 31 (step S25 shown in FIG. 9 ). The trial unit 101 may take various forms as long as it can attempt to detect the non-adhesive portion 74b. For example, the trial unit 101 may attempt to detect the non-adhesive portion 74b of the reel 70 using a fixed tape separating device 80 that separates the fixed tape 74. Alternatively, the trial unit 101 may attempt to detect the non-adhesive portion 74b of the reel 70 by, for example, using negative pressure air to adsorb the non-adhesive portion 74b. The fixed tape separating device 80 may be provided at any position inside or outside the setup apparatus 10. For example, the fixed tape separating device 80 may be provided near the tape loading mechanism 23 and the reel transfer mechanism 40 (e.g., in the placement area 22d).
[0068] As shown in FIG. 10 , a fixed tape peeling device 80 of this embodiment includes a support mechanism 81, a separation mechanism 82, a gripping mechanism 83, and a separation mechanism 84. The support mechanism 81 rotatably supports the reel 70. For example, the reel transfer mechanism 40 described above moves the reel 70 held by the reel holding unit 31 to the support mechanism 81. In addition, a code reader provided in the collection unit 43 of the reel transfer mechanism 40 reads the identification code of the reel 70 and acquires the identification information of the reel 70 (step S24 shown in FIG. 9 ). The support mechanism 81 rotatably supports the reel 70 moved by the reel transfer mechanism 40. The gripping mechanism 83 grips the non-adhesive portion 74b of the fixed tape 74 of the reel 70 supported by the support mechanism 81.
[0069] The gripping mechanism 83 may take various forms as long as it is capable of gripping the non-adhesive portion 74b. For example, the gripping mechanism 83 of the embodiment includes a first claw portion 83a and a second claw portion 83b. The first claw portion 83a is a claw-shaped portion that can enter between the outer periphery 73a and the non-adhesive portion 74b of the spirally wound tape 73. The second claw portion 83b is a claw-shaped portion that can sandwich the non-adhesive portion 74b between the first claw portion 83a and the second claw portion 83b. The first claw portion 83a can move toward or away from the second claw portion 83b, and when it is closest to the second claw portion 83b, it can sandwich the non-adhesive portion 74b between the second claw portion 83b and the first claw portion 83a.
[0070] When the gripping mechanism 83 grips the non-adhesive portion 74b, the second claw 83b must be positioned near the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73, and the fixed tape separating device 80 must detect the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73. However, the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 has a step corresponding to the thickness of the carrier tape 72, which may result in erroneous detection of the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73. Furthermore, when the reel 70 rotates with the second claw 83b pressing the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 toward the center of the reel 70, the pressure from the second claw 83b may cause the carrier tape 72 at the outer periphery 73a to tilt.
[0071] For example, tilting of the carrier tape 72 is likely to occur in an embossed carrier tape 72 in which the base tape 72a to which the cover tape 72b is attached has a protruding storage portion 72d. When the carrier tape 72 tilts, the second claw 83b can move further toward the center of the reel 70 from its original position on the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73, which may result in false detection of the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73. Furthermore, when detecting the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 using a height sensor that uses a laser beam, for example, false detection of the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 may occur depending on the type of carrier tape 72. For example, a transparent carrier tape 72 is more transparent to the laser beam than a white or black carrier tape 72, which may result in false detection of the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73.
[0072] Therefore, the fixed tape peeling device 80 is equipped with a separation mechanism 82. The separation mechanism 82 separates the non-adhesive portion 74b of the fixed tape 74 from the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 by using air. The gripping mechanism 83 then grips the non-adhesive portion 74b that has been separated from the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 by the separation mechanism 82. The separation mechanism 82 may take various forms as long as it can separate the non-adhesive portion 74b from the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 by using air. For example, as shown in FIG. 10 , the separation mechanism 82 can separate the non-adhesive portion 74b from the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 by using negative pressure air to adsorb the non-adhesive portion 74b.
[0073] For example, the separation mechanism 82 includes an air generator 82a, a negative pressure supply unit 82b, and a suction port 82c. The air generator 82a is an air source that generates negative pressure air, positive pressure air, etc. The negative pressure supply unit 82b supplies the negative pressure air generated by the air generator 82a to the suction port 82c. For example, the negative pressure supply unit 82b includes an air pipe that connects the air generator 82a to the suction port 82c via a branching unit 82b1, and can supply negative pressure air from the air generator 82a to the suction port 82c. The suction port 82c is a portion that can suction the non-adhesive portion 74b with negative pressure air. The suction port 82c can be provided in any member as long as it can suction the non-adhesive portion 74b.
[0074] The gripping mechanism 83 of the embodiment includes a first claw 83a and a second claw 83b. Because the gripping mechanism 83 of the embodiment is a clamping mechanism in which the first claw 83a moves relative to the second claw 83b, the suction port 82c of the embodiment is provided on the fixed second claw 83b. Specifically, as shown in FIGS. 10 and 11 , the suction port 82c is provided on a contact surface 83b1 of the second claw 83b that contacts the non-adhesive portion 74b when the non-adhesive portion 74b is clamped between the first claw 83a and the second claw 83b. The contact surface 83b1 is inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to the movement direction of the gripping mechanism 83 (the left-right direction in the drawing) to facilitate clamping of the non-adhesive portion 74b. At least one suction port 82c can be provided on the contact surface 83b1, and multiple suction ports 82c can be provided along the contact surface 83b1, for example.
[0075] As described above, there is a possibility of erroneous detection of the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 when the reel 70 is rotated with the second claw 83b pressing the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 toward the center of the reel 70. Therefore, the spacing mechanism 82 may rotate the reel 70 using the support mechanism 81 while supplying negative pressure air from the suction port 82c with the suction port 82c spaced a predetermined distance from the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73, thereby causing the suction port 82c to suction the non-adhesive portion 74b.
[0076] For example, the fixed tape separating device 80 may include an outer periphery detection unit 85. The outer periphery detection unit 85 detects an arrival completion state in which the second claw 83b has reached the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73. The outer periphery detection unit 85 may take various forms as long as it can detect the arrival completion state. As shown in FIG. 10 , for example, the outer periphery detection unit 85 of this embodiment includes a dog 85a and an arrival sensor 85b. The dog 85a is displaced when the second claw 83b moves toward the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 and reaches the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73. The arrival sensor 85b detects the arrival completion state in which the second claw 83b has reached the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 based on the displacement of the dog 85a.
[0077] For example, the outer periphery detection unit 85 uses the separation mechanism 84, which will be described later, to move the gripping mechanism 83 toward the reel 70. As shown in Figure 10, the gripping mechanism 83 is supported by a moving body 84a of the separation mechanism 84 via an elastic member 84b. The elastic member 84b is formed, for example, by a spring. When the gripping mechanism 83 moves together with the moving body 84a toward the outer periphery 73a of the spirally wound tape 73, the second claw 83b of the gripping mechanism 83 reaches the outer periphery 73a of the spirally wound tape 73, and the moving body 84a moves further, the gripping mechanism 83 is displaced relative to the moving body 84a.
[0078] More specifically, after the second claw portion 83b reaches the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73, when the movable body 84a further moves toward the spiral tape 73, the elastic member 84b contracts against the elastic force, and the gripping mechanism 83 is displaced relative to the movable body 84a. When the elastic member 84b contracts, the reach sensor 85b provided on the gripping mechanism 83 side moves toward the dog 85a provided on the movable body 84a side, and the detection light of the reach sensor 85b is blocked. This allows the outer periphery detection unit 85 to detect the complete reach state in which the second claw portion 83b has reached the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73.
[0079] The separation mechanism 84 moves the gripping mechanism 83 in a direction toward the reel 70, and when the arrival sensor 85b detects the arrival completion state, moves the gripping mechanism 83 in a direction away from the reel 70 to move the suction port 82c a predetermined distance away from the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73. In the same way as when moving the gripping mechanism 83 in a direction toward the reel 70, the separation mechanism 84 can move the gripping mechanism 83 in a direction away from the reel 70 by moving the movable body 84a in a direction away from the reel 70.
[0080] The predetermined distance is not limited as long as it is a distance at which the suction ports 82c can suction the non-adhesive portion 74b without interfering with the second claws 83b when the reel 70 is rotated by the support mechanism 81. For example, as described above, the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 has a step equal to the thickness of the carrier tape 72. Therefore, the predetermined distance can be set to a distance that is at least greater than the thickness of the carrier tape 72 and that is away from the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73.
[0081] The spacing mechanism 82 rotates the reel 70 using the support mechanism 81 while supplying negative pressure air through the suction ports 82c in a state in which the suction ports 82c are spaced a predetermined distance from the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73, causing the suction ports 82c to suction the non-adhesive portions 74b. In the example of the reel 70 shown in Figure 10, the support mechanism 81 rotates the reel 70 counterclockwise when viewed from above on the page. This brings the non-adhesive portions 74b closer to the suction ports 82c, allowing the suction ports 82c to suction the non-adhesive portions 74b.
[0082] When the suction port 82c adsorbs the non-adhesive portion 74b, rotation of the reel 70 must be stopped. The separation mechanism 82 of this embodiment includes an adsorption detection unit 82k that detects the adsorption completion state in which the non-adhesive portion 74b is adsorbed by the suction port 82c. The adsorption detection unit 82k may take various forms as long as it can detect the adsorption completion state. For example, when the suction port 82c adsorbs the non-adhesive portion 74b, the pressure of the negative pressure air increases rapidly. Furthermore, when the suction port 82c adsorbs the non-adhesive portion 74b, the flow rate of the negative pressure air decreases rapidly. Therefore, the adsorption detection unit 82k can detect the adsorption completion state using a pressure sensor that detects the pressure of the negative pressure air or a flow rate sensor that detects the flow rate of the negative pressure air.
[0083] Specifically, the suction detection unit 82k can detect the suction completion state when the pressure of the negative pressure air exceeds a predetermined threshold or when the flow rate of the negative pressure air falls below a predetermined threshold. The suction detection unit 82k can also detect the suction completion state when the change in the pressure or flow rate of the negative pressure air per unit time exceeds a predetermined threshold. As shown in FIG. 10 , the suction detection unit 82k of this embodiment detects the suction completion state using a pressure sensor that detects the pressure of the negative pressure air. Specifically, the suction detection unit 82k is connected to the branching device 82b1 of the negative pressure supply unit 82b and can detect the pressure of the negative pressure air flowing through the negative pressure supply unit 82b. The support mechanism 81 stops rotation of the reel 70 when the suction detection unit 82k detects the suction completion state.
[0084] The gripping mechanism 83 grips the non-adhesive portion 74b that has been separated from the outer circumferential portion 73a of the spirally wound tape 73 by the separating mechanism 82. The gripping mechanism 83 may take various forms as long as it is capable of gripping the non-adhesive portion 74b. As described above, the gripping mechanism 83 of the embodiment includes a first claw portion 83a and a second claw portion 83b. As shown in FIG. 11 , the non-adhesive portion 74b is sandwiched between the first claw portion 83a and the second claw portion 83b, thereby causing the gripping mechanism 83 to grip the non-adhesive portion 74b. When the non-adhesive portion 74b is gripped by the gripping mechanism 83, the separating mechanism 82 stops the supply of negative pressure air.
[0085] The separation mechanism 84 separates the fixed tape 74 from the cover tape 72b by moving the gripping mechanism 83 in a direction away from the reel 70 while the gripping mechanism 83 grips the non-adhesive portion 74b. Specifically, the separation mechanism 84 includes a drive unit. The drive unit may take various forms as long as it is capable of moving the gripping mechanism 83 as described above. For example, a known belt drive device may be used as the drive unit. The drive unit can move the moving body 84a as described above, thereby moving the gripping mechanism 83 as described above. Specifically, the drive unit can move the moving body 84a in a direction away from the reel 70 (to the right in FIG. 11 ), thereby moving the gripping mechanism 83 in the same direction. This separates the fixed tape 74 from the cover tape 72b.
[0086] The separating mechanism 82 can also separate the non-adhesive portion 74b from the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 by using positive pressure air to blow the non-adhesive portion 74b upward. The outlet capable of discharging positive pressure air toward the non-adhesive portion 74b can be provided, for example, at a position in the first claw portion 83a where positive pressure air can be supplied along the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73. In this case, the positive pressure air discharged from the outlet can flow toward the non-adhesive portion 74b along the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 at the timing when the non-adhesive portion 74b is sandwiched between the first claw portion 83a and the second claw portion 83b. As a result, the non-adhesive portion 74b is blown upward by the positive pressure air, and the non-adhesive portion 74b can be separated from the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73.
[0087] For example, static electricity or the like may cause the non-adhesive portion 74b to stick to the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73, and it may be difficult to separate the non-adhesive portion 74b from the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 simply by adsorbing the non-adhesive portion 74b using negative pressure air. Also, it may be difficult to grip the non-adhesive portion 74b with the gripping mechanism 83 simply by blowing the non-adhesive portion 74b up using positive pressure air. Therefore, the separating mechanism 82 can also separate the non-adhesive portion 74b from the outer periphery 73a of the spiral tape 73 by blowing the non-adhesive portion 74b up using positive pressure air and adsorbing the non-adhesive portion 74b using negative pressure air.
[0088] In this way, the trial unit 101 can attempt to detect the non-adhesive portion 74b of the reel 70 by using negative pressure air to adsorb the non-adhesive portion 74b. The trial unit 101 can also attempt to detect the non-adhesive portion 74b of the reel 70 by using positive pressure air to blow up the non-adhesive portion 74b and using negative pressure air to adsorb the non-adhesive portion 74b. In either case, the trial unit 101 can determine that the non-adhesive portion 74b of the reel 70 has been detected, for example, when the adsorption detection unit 82k detects a state in which adsorption is complete. The trial unit 101 can also determine that the non-adhesive portion 74b of the reel 70 has not been detected, when the adsorption detection unit 82k does not detect a state in which adsorption is complete.
[0089] Depending on the type of reel 70, the manufacturer of the reel 70, etc., the gripping mechanism 83 may be able to grip the non-adhesive portion 74b of the fixing tape 74 without using air. In this case, the trial unit 101 can determine that the non-adhesive portion 74b of the reel 70 has been detected if the gripping mechanism 83 is able to grip the non-adhesive portion 74b of the fixing tape 74. Furthermore, the trial unit 101 can determine that the non-adhesive portion 74b of the reel 70 has not been detected if the gripping mechanism 83 is unable to grip the non-adhesive portion 74b of the fixing tape 74.
[0090] If the trial unit 101 detects the non-adhesive portion 74b (Yes in step S26 shown in FIG. 9 ), the fixed tape separating device 80 separates the fixed tape 74 (step S27), as described above. Then, the setup device 10 sets the reel 70 in the feeder 60 (step S28). Once the reel 70 is set, control returns to the process shown in step S24, and the reel transfer mechanism 40 moves the next reel 70 placed on the top of the reel holding unit 31 to the support mechanism 81 of the fixed tape separating device 80. Then, the control described above is repeated. If the trial unit 101 does not detect the non-adhesive portion 74b (No in step S26), the reel transfer mechanism 40 moves the reel 70 in which the non-adhesive portion 74b was not detected to the reel return unit 32 (step S29).
[0091] 1-3-2. Distribution Unit 102 The distribution unit 102 distributes the separation operations for separating the fixed tape 74 based on the detection result of the non-adhesive portion 74b by the trial unit 101 (steps S30 to S32 and step S36 shown in FIG. 9 ). The distribution unit 102 may take various forms as long as it is able to distribute the separation operations. For example, if the fixed tape separating device 80 is unable to detect the non-adhesive portion 74b of the reel 70, the distribution unit 102 determines that the fixed tape 74 cannot be separated by the fixed tape separating device 80 from a reel 70 of the same type as the reel 70. In other words, if the fixed tape separating device 80 is able to detect the non-adhesive portion 74b of the reel 70, the distribution unit 102 determines that the fixed tape 74 can be separated by the fixed tape separating device 80 from a reel 70 of the same type as the reel 70.
[0092] Furthermore, considering that the distribution unit 102 makes a collective judgment on reels 70 of the same type, a certain degree of reliability is required. Therefore, the distribution unit 102 may determine that the fixed tape 74 cannot be separated by the fixed tape separating device 80 when the fixed tape separating device 80 has not been able to detect the non-adhesive portion 74b a predetermined number of times on reels 70 of the same type. In other words, the distribution unit 102 may determine that the fixed tape 74 can be separated by the fixed tape separating device 80 when the fixed tape separating device 80 has been able to detect the non-adhesive portion 74b a predetermined number of times on reels 70 of the same type. This allows the distribution unit 102 to prevent erroneous judgments based on accidental detection results.
[0093] The predetermined number of times can be set arbitrarily and is not limited to a specific number. The predetermined number of times can be set in advance, for example, through simulation or verification using an actual device, and can also be changed after being set. For example, when the distribution unit 102 receives a change request from the user of the fixed tape separating device 80 to change the predetermined number of times, the distribution unit 102 can increase or decrease the predetermined number of times in accordance with the change request. This allows the distribution unit 102 to change the predetermined number of times as needed, depending on changes in the situation after the setting.
[0094] In this embodiment, since the peeling operation is assigned (if Yes in step S30 shown in FIG. 9 ), the distributor 102 counts up the number of non-detections, that is, the number of times the fixed tape peeling device 80 was unable to detect the non-adhesive portion 74b (step S31). If the number of non-detections reaches a predetermined number (if Yes in step S32), control proceeds to the determination shown in the next step S33. If the number of non-detections has not reached the predetermined number (if No in step S32) or if the peeling operation is not assigned (if No in step S30), control returns to the process shown in step S24, and the non-adhesive portion 74b is detected for the next reel 70.
[0095] The distribution unit 102 can also determine that the fixed tape 74 cannot be separated by the fixed tape separating device 80 when the failure rate at which the non-adhesive portion 74b cannot be detected by the fixed tape separating device 80 for the same type of reel 70 exceeds an allowable value. In other words, the distribution unit 102 can also determine that the fixed tape 74 can be separated by the fixed tape separating device 80 when the failure rate at which the non-adhesive portion 74b cannot be detected by the fixed tape separating device 80 for the same type of reel 70 is lower than an allowable value. The distribution unit 102 can also determine whether the fixed tape 74 can be separated by the fixed tape separating device 80 based on the success rate at which the non-adhesive portion 74b can be detected by the fixed tape separating device 80. In either case, the distribution unit 102 can determine whether the fixed tape 74 can be separated by the fixed tape separating device 80 in the same way as in the case of a predetermined number of times.
[0096] When the distribution unit 102 determines that the fixed tape 74 cannot be separated by the fixed tape separating device 80, it causes another fixed tape separating device 80 capable of separating the fixed tape 74 or an operator to separate the fixed tape 74 (step S36 shown in FIG. 9 ). In other words, when the distribution unit 102 determines that the fixed tape 74 can be separated by the fixed tape separating device 80, it causes that fixed tape separating device 80 to separate the fixed tape 74. In the example shown in FIG. 9 , when the distribution unit 102 determines that the fixed tape 74 cannot be separated by the fixed tape separating device 80, it causes the operator to separate the fixed tape 74 (step S38). Furthermore, after the fixed tape 74 has been separated by the operator, the distribution unit 102 causes the operator to set the reel 70 (step S39).
[0097] 1-3-3. Storage Unit 103 and Guidance Unit 104 The storage unit 103 stores component information about the component 91 in the storage device 103s. The component information may include various types of information as long as it is information about the component 91. For example, the component information may include shape-related information that includes at least information about the shape of the component 91. The information about the shape of the component 91 includes information about the size of the component 91. If the component 91 is a lead component, the information about the shape of the component 91 includes information about the number, position (coordinates), orientation, length, width, and pitch of the leads. If the component 91 is a BGA (Ball Grid Array) component or the like, the information about the shape of the component 91 includes information about the number, position (coordinates), diameter, and pitch of the bumps. If the component 91 has a direction check mark, the information about the shape of the component 91 includes information about the position, brightness, and so on of the direction check mark.
[0098] The shape-related information may also include information related to image processing of image data of the component 91. For example, the information related to image processing may include information about an algorithm for processing image data of the component 91 captured by an imaging device. The shape-related information may also include information related to handling of the component 91 (handling information). For example, the handling information may include information related to a holding member used to hold the component 91 (e.g., the nozzle diameter of a suction nozzle). Furthermore, the shape-related information may also include information related to imaging conditions when capturing an image of the component 91, information related to the electrical characteristics of the component 91, and the like.
[0099] The component information may also include package information regarding the supply method of the component 91. The package information includes information regarding the supply method of the component 91, such as reel supply, tray supply, or stick supply. In the case of reel supply, the package information may also include peelable information or non-peelable information. Peelable information indicates that the fixed tape 74 of the reel 70 containing the component 91 can be peeled by the fixed tape peeling device 80. Non-peelable information indicates that the fixed tape 74 of the reel 70 containing the component 91 cannot be peeled by the fixed tape peeling device 80. The storage device 103s may take various forms as long as it is capable of storing the above information. For example, the storage device 103s may store the above information using a known storage device, database, or the like. The storage device 103s may also be formed on a cloud.
[0100] For example, if an operator were to store peelable information or non-peeling information for each type of component 91 in the storage device 103s, the operator's input work would be cumbersome. Therefore, the storage unit 103 may store the peelable information in the storage device 103s as an initial value (step S21 shown in FIG. 9 ). As a result, for all reels 70, it is temporarily determined that the fixed tape 74 is peelable by the fixed tape separating device 80. Then, when the distribution unit 102 determines that the fixed tape 74 is not peelable by the fixed tape separating device 80, the storage unit 103 changes the peelable information to non-peeling information and stores it in the storage device 103s.
[0101] In this way, the storage unit 103 can change the component information of the reel 70 from which the fixed tape 74 cannot be separated by the fixed tape separating device 80 from separation-enabled information to separation-disabled information as appropriate, and store the changed information in the storage device 103s. This changes the discharge destination of the incompatible reel 70, which is the reel 70 from which the fixed tape 74 cannot be separated by the fixed tape separating device 80 (step S37 shown in FIG. 9 ). When separation-disabled information is included in the component information of the component 91 stored in the storage device 103s, the management device 110 prohibits the reel 70 containing the component 91 from being carried into the setup device 10.
[0102] The reel 70 that is not carried into the setup apparatus 10 is transferred to, for example, an operator, who peels off the fixed tape 74 from the reel 70 (step S38). The operator then sets the reel 70 from which the fixed tape 74 has been peeled off in the feeder 60 (step S39). The management apparatus 110 can also transfer the reel 70 to a setup apparatus 10 that includes another fixed tape peeling device 80 that can peel off the fixed tape 74. In this case, the fixed tape peeling device 80 peels off the fixed tape 74 from the reel 70, and the setup apparatus 10 sets the reel 70 from which the fixed tape 74 has been peeled off in the feeder 60. If the component information for the component 91 stored in the storage device 103s includes peelable information, the management apparatus 110 permits the reel 70 containing the component 91 to be carried into the setup apparatus 10.
[0103] Whether the fixed tape 74 can be separated by the fixed tape separating device 80 often depends on the manufacturer of the reel 70. Therefore, if the component information does not include manufacturer information about the manufacturer of the reel 70 storing the component 91 and the distributing unit 102 determines that the fixed tape 74 cannot be separated by the fixed tape separating device 80, the guiding unit 104 provides guidance to add the manufacturer information to the component information. Note that it is also possible that the user of the component information does not wish to add the manufacturer information to the component information. Therefore, if guidance is set to be provided (if Yes is returned in step S33 of FIG. 9 ), the guiding unit 104 can provide guidance to add the manufacturer information to the component information (step S34).
[0104] The guidance unit 104 may provide the above guidance in any manner, as long as it can provide the above guidance. For example, the task of adding part information can be performed by a designated engineer. In this case, the guidance unit 104 can provide the above guidance to the engineer by, for example, email. This allows the engineer to make a correction by adding manufacturer information to the part information (step S35). Note that the guidance unit 104 can also provide guidance to a general worker, such as via an operation panel of the setup device 10, to request an engineer to add part information.
[0105] Furthermore, when manufacturer information is added to the component information, the storage unit 103 can collectively change the components 91 of a specific manufacturer from removable information to non-removable information and store the information in the storage device 103s. Furthermore, the storage unit 103 can collectively change the removable information to non-removable information after narrowing down the component information by setting conditions such as the tape width and material (e.g., embossed tape or paper tape) of the carrier tape 72. This improves the efficiency of the component information correction work.
[0106] Furthermore, as described above, if it is provisionally determined that the fixed tape 74 can be separated from all reels 70 by the fixed tape separating device 80, there is a possibility that work efficiency will decrease. For example, even if it is clearly not possible to separate the fixed tape 74 by the fixed tape separating device 80 based on the tape width or material (e.g., embossed tape or paper tape) of the carrier tape 72, the fixed tape will be provisionally determined to be separable. Therefore, it is preferable that the reel holding unit 31 holds reels 70 that are expected to be able to separate the fixed tape 74 by the fixed tape separating device 80 that separates the fixed tape 74, based on the component information stored in the storage device 103s.
[0107] In this case, the management device 110 causes the reel holding unit 31 to hold the reels 70 that are expected to be able to peel the fixed tape 74 by the fixed tape separating device 80 (step S22). As a result, the reel holding unit 31 is supplied with the reels 70 that are expected to be able to peel the fixed tape 74 by the fixed tape separating device 80 (step S23). Therefore, the reel holding unit 31 can hold the reels 70 that are expected to be able to peel the fixed tape 74 by the fixed tape separating device 80, which improves work efficiency compared to when all reels 70 are held.
[0108] 2. Work Support Method What has already been described about the work support device 100 also applies to the work support method. Specifically, the work support method includes a reel holding process, a trial process, and a distribution process. The reel holding process corresponds to control for causing the reel holding unit 31 to hold the reel 70. The trial process corresponds to control performed by the trial unit 101. The distribution process corresponds to control performed by the distribution unit 102. The work support method can also include a storage process. The storage process corresponds to control performed by the storage unit 103. The work support method can also include a guidance process. The guidance process corresponds to control performed by the guidance unit 104.
[0109] 3. Example of Effect of the Embodiment According to the work support device 100, it is possible to assign the peeling work of peeling off the fixing tape 74 based on the detection result of the non-adhesive portion 74b. What has been described above about the work support device 100 also applies to the work support method.
