Abstract
The present invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, particularly to mechanisms that convert rotational motion into unidirectional and / or continuous motion. By incorporating pawls into two epicyclic gear trains to rectify the motion, a device is developed to convert oscillatory rotation from various sources into unidirectional oscillatory rotation. This offers the advantage that the input and output rotations are coaxial and parallel to each other. The novelty of this mechanism lies in the complete elimination of perpendicular bevel gears, leading to the use of epicyclic gear trains for motion rectification and the incorporation of pawls within them. This allows the input and output motion to be concentric and located on the same gear train, while simultaneously reducing the size of the mechanism. The potential applications of this mechanism are the use of alternative, natural and / or renewable energy sources that provide alternating rotational or axial movements; as well as any other physical-mechanical, industrial, research, etc. application that requires the rectification of angular alternating movement to unidirectional angular movement.
