Abstract

The invention relates to a multi-component topical scar care formulation that forms a silicone film. The formulation combines a silicone-based film-forming phase with plant extracts, plant lipids, hydration and antioxidant support components within a dermatologically acceptable carrier. The silicone-based phase contains at least one volatile and / or film-forming polysiloxane component; the plant component group consists of plant extracts and plant-derived oils suitable for scar care; the hydration component group consists of humectants and hyaluronic acid derivatives; and the antioxidant support group consists of vitamin derivatives and skin care-appropriate auxiliary components. The components are arranged within the same topical matrix, and the formulation can be prepared in the form of a cream, gel-cream, or film-forming topical emulsion.
