[0012] The upper holder may further include a second elastic protrusion that is spaced apart from the first elastic protrusion and has elasticity in the one direction and protrudes in the direction of the slider.

[0013] The second elastic protrusion may be located on the edge of the upper surface of the upper holder.

[0014] The second elastic protrusion includes a plurality of second elastic protrusions, each of which may be positioned on the edge of the upper surface of the upper holder at the same interval as the first elastic protrusion.

[0015] The second elastic protrusion may include a clamp pin mounted on the edge of the upper surface of the upper holder, a clamp supported by the clamp pin and protruding in one direction from the upper surface of the upper holder, and a second spring positioned between the clamp pin and the upper holder and having an elastic restoring force in the one direction.

[0016] The second elastic protrusion may protrude further in the slider direction compared to the first elastic protrusion.

[0017] The first elastic protrusion may protrude further in the slider direction compared to the second elastic protrusion.

[0018] The above first elastic protrusion may be located on the edge of the upper surface of the upper holder.

[0019] The first elastic protrusion includes a plurality of elastic protrusions, and each of the plurality of elastic protrusions can be positioned at a rim of the upper surface of the upper holder at a distance equal to the center of the upper surface of the upper holder.

[0035] Hereinafter, with reference to the attached drawings, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail so that those skilled in the art can easily implement the present invention. The present invention may be implemented in various different forms and is not limited to the embodiments described herein.

[0036] Additionally, throughout the specification, whenever a part is said to "include" a component, this does not mean that it excludes other components, but rather that it may include other components, unless otherwise specifically stated.

[0037] Hereinafter, with reference to FIGS. 1 to 6, an electrode notching device and a notching mold included therein according to one embodiment will be described. The electrode notching device according to one embodiment is a device for notching an electrode included in a secondary battery, but is not limited thereto.

[0038] Figure 1 is a perspective view showing an electrode notching device according to one embodiment.

[0039] Referring to FIG. 1, an electrode notching device (1000) according to one embodiment includes a bolster (100), a slider (200), and a notching mold (300).

[0040] The bolster (100) supports a notching mold (300), and the notching mold (300) is mounted on the upper surface of the bolster (100). The bolster (100) may have various known structures capable of supporting the notching mold (300). A slider (200) is positioned on the bolster (100) in a first direction (X) with the notching mold (300) interposed therebetween, and the upper surface of the bolster (100) has a plate shape extending in a second direction (Y) intersecting the first direction (X) and a third direction (Z) intersecting the second direction (Y). The bolster (100) includes a plurality of first guide pins (110) and a first coupling portion (120).

[0041] A plurality of first guide pins (110) extend from the upper surface of the bolster (100) in a first direction (X). The plurality of first guide pins (110) are located at corners of the upper surface of the bolster (100). A slider (200) is supported on the plurality of first guide pins (110), and the slider (200) is guided by the plurality of first guide pins (110) to descend into the bolster (100) along the first direction (X).

[0042] The first coupling portion (120) is coupled with the notching mold (300) mounted on the upper surface of the bolster (100) to fix the notching mold (300) to the upper surface of the bolster (100). The first coupling portion (120) is coupled with the lower holder (310) of the notching mold (300). The first coupling portion (120) may have various known structures that can be coupled with the lower holder (310) of the notching mold (300). For example, the first coupling portion (120) and the lower holder (310) of the notching mold (300) may have a step structure that corresponds to each other and is coupled to each other, but is not limited thereto.

[0043] A slider (200) is positioned on a bolster (100) with a notching mold (300) therebetween. The slider (200) is guided by the first guide pins (110) of the bolster (100) and lowered into the bolster (100) along a first direction (X). As the slider (200) is lowered into the bolster (100) along the first direction (X), the upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300) is pressed in the first direction (X), and the upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300) is lowered into the lower holder (310) along the first direction (X) to notch a sheet-shaped electrode positioned between the lower holder (310) and the upper holder (320), thereby forming an electrode of a secondary battery. The slider (200) can be guided by first guide pins (110) using various known driving means and can be lowered to the bolster (100) along the first direction (X). The slider (200) includes a second coupling portion (210).

[0044] The second connecting portion (210) is coupled with the notching mold (300) positioned between the bolster (100) and the slider (200) to support the notching mold (300) on the slider (200). The second connecting portion (210) is coupled with the upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300). The second connecting portion (210) may have various known structures that can be coupled with the upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300). For example, the second connecting portion (210) and the upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300) may have a step structure that corresponds to each other and is coupled to each other, but is not limited thereto.

[0045] The second joint (210) and the first joint (120) can be separated from the notching mold (300), thereby separating the notching mold (300) from between the bolster (100) and the slider (200). This allows various notching molds (300) capable of notching electrodes of various sizes and thicknesses to be positioned between the bolster (100) and the slider (200), thereby enabling notching of electrodes of various sizes and thicknesses.

[0046] A notching mold (300) is positioned between a bolster (100) and a slider (200). The notching mold (300) is lowered in a first direction (X) according to the lowering of the slider (200) along the first direction (X) to notch a sheet-shaped electrode supported by the notching mold (300). The notching mold (300) includes at least one of a first elastic protrusion and a second elastic protrusion that have elasticity in the first direction (X) and protrude in the direction of the slider, thereby improving the parallelism of the notching mold for pressing the electrode.

[0047] Fig. 2 is a perspective view showing the notching mold shown in Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a front view showing the notching mold shown in Fig. 2.

[0048] Referring to FIGS. 2, 3, and 1, the notching mold (300) includes a lower holder (310), an upper holder (320), a die plate (330), a punch holder (340), a die (350), a punch (360), and a stripper (370).

[0049] The lower holder (310) is supported on the bolster (100). The upper holder (320) is positioned on the first direction (X) of the lower holder (310). The lower holder (310) includes a plurality of second guide pins (311) extending in the first direction (X).

[0050] A plurality of second guide pins (311) extend from the upper surface of the lower holder (310) in the first direction (X). The plurality of second guide pins (311) are located at corners of the upper surface of the lower holder (310). The upper holder (320) is supported by the plurality of second guide pins (311), and the upper holder (320) is guided by the second guide pins (311) to descend to the lower holder (310) along the first direction (X).

[0051] The upper holder (320) is positioned on the lower holder (310). The upper holder (320) is guided by the second guide pins (311) of the lower holder (310) and descends to the lower holder (310) along the first direction (X). The upper holder (320) is pressed by the slider (200) descending to the bolster (100) along the first direction (X) and descends to the lower holder (310) along the first direction (X). The upper holder (320) can be pressed in the first direction (X) by the slider (200) descending in the first direction (X).

[0052] The upper holder (320) includes a first elastic protrusion (321) and a second elastic protrusion (322).

[0053] Fig. 4 is a drawing showing a first elastic protrusion of the notching mold illustrated in Fig. 2. Fig. 4 may be a longitudinal cross-sectional view showing the first elastic protrusion.

[0054] Referring to FIG. 4 and FIG. 2, the first elastic protrusion (321) is elastically protruded in the first direction (X) toward the slider from the upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300). The first elastic protrusion (321) is located at the center of the upper surface (320a) of the upper holder (320). The first elastic protrusion (321) includes a protrusion cover (321a), a cushion pin (321b), and a first spring (321c).

[0055] The protruding cover (321a) is mounted at the center of the upper surface (320a) of the upper holder (320) and includes a through hole (TH) formed at the center. The protruding cover (321a) protrudes in a first direction (X) from the upper surface (320a) of the upper holder (320). The protruding cover (321a) may protrude in the first direction (X) from the upper surface (320a) of the upper holder (320) by a first height (P1), but is not limited thereto. In another example, the protruding cover (321a) may have the same height as the upper surface (320a) of the upper holder (320).

[0056] The cushion pin (321b) is located inside the protruding cover (321a) and protrudes in a first direction (X) from the protruding cover (321a) by penetrating through the through hole (TH) of the protruding cover (321a). The cushion pin (321b) can protrude in the first direction (X) from the protruding cover (321a) by a second height (P2).

[0057] The first spring (321c) is located at the lower portion of the cushion pin (321b) inside the protruding cover (321a). The first spring (321c) is located between the cushion pin (321b) and the upper holder (320) and has an elastic restoring force in the first direction (X). The cushion pin (321b) is elastically protruded in the first direction (X) by the first spring (321c) of the first elastic protrusion (321).

[0058] Since the first elastic protrusion (321) is elastically protruded in the first direction (X) from the upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300) toward the slider (200), the slider (200) descending along the first direction (X) during electrode notching preferentially presses the first elastic protrusion (321) of the upper holder (320), and since the shaking of the upper holder (320) is minimized by the elastic restoring force of the first elastic protrusion (321), the parallelism of the upper holder (320) descending along the first direction (X) to press the electrode is improved.

[0059] In addition, since the first elastic protrusion (321) is elastically protruded in the first direction (X) from the upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300) toward the slider (200), the slider (200) descending along the first direction (X) during electrode notching preferentially presses the first elastic protrusion (321) of the upper holder (320), so that the pressure of the slider (200) is preferentially applied to the first elastic protrusion (321) and at the same time is distributed by the elasticity of the first elastic protrusion (321), so that the first elastic protrusion (321) is suppressed from being broken by the pressure of the slider (200), and even if the first elastic protrusion (321) is broken by the slider (200), only the first elastic protrusion (321) is replaced, thereby suppressing an increase in the electrode notching time and electrode notching cost due to the replacement of the entire notching mold (300).

[0060] Fig. 5 is a drawing showing a second elastic protrusion of the notching mold shown in Fig. 2. Fig. 5 may be a transparent front view showing the configurations of the second elastic protrusion.

[0061] Referring to FIG. 5 and FIG. 2, the second elastic protrusion (322) is spaced apart from the first elastic protrusion (321) and elastically protrudes in the first direction (X) from the upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300) toward the slider. The second elastic protrusion (322) is located at the edge of the upper surface (320a) of the upper holder (320). The second elastic protrusion (322) includes a plurality of second elastic protrusions (322), and each of the plurality of second elastic protrusions (322) is spaced apart from the first elastic protrusion (321) by the same interval and is located at the edge of the upper surface (320a) of the upper holder (320).

[0062] Each of the plurality of second elastic protrusions (322) includes a clamp pin (322a), a clamp (322b), and a second spring (322c).

[0063] The clamp pin (322a) is mounted on the edge of the upper surface (320a) of the upper holder (320). The clamp pin (322a) passes through the clamp (322b) to guide movement of the clamp (322b) in the first direction (X). The clamp pin (322a) passes through the clamp (322b) from the lower portion of the upper holder (320), but is not limited thereto, and the clamp pin (322a) may pass through the clamp (322b) from the upper portion of the upper holder (320).

[0064] The clamp (322b) is supported by the clamp pin (322a) and protrudes in the first direction (X) from the upper surface (320a) of the upper holder (320). The clamp (322b) may protrude in the first direction (X) from the upper surface (320a) of the upper holder (320) by a third height (P3). Here, the protrusion of the clamp (322b) at the third height (P3) may be smaller than the protrusion of the cushion pin (321b) at the second height (P2) illustrated in FIG. 4, but is not limited thereto, and the protrusion of the clamp (322b) at the third height (P3) may be larger than the protrusion of the cushion pin (321b) at the second height (P2).

[0065] The second spring (322c) is located between the clamp pin (322a) and the upper holder (320). The second spring (322c) has an elastic restoring force in the first direction (X) with respect to the clamp pin (322a). The clamp (322b) is elastically protruded in the first direction (X) by the second spring (322c) of the second elastic protrusion (322).

[0066] For example, the upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300) may include at least one of a first elastic protrusion (321) and a second elastic protrusion (322). The upper holder (320) may include only the first elastic protrusion (321), only the second elastic protrusion (322), or both the first elastic protrusion (321) and the second elastic protrusion (322).

[0067] Since the second elastic protrusion (322) is elastically protruded in the first direction (X) from the upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300) toward the slider (200), the slider (200) descending along the first direction (X) during electrode notching preferentially presses the second elastic protrusion (322) of the upper holder (320), and since the shaking of the upper holder (320) is minimized by the elastic restoring force of the second elastic protrusion (322), the parallelism of the upper holder (320) descending along the first direction (X) to press the electrode is improved.

[0068] In addition, since the second elastic protrusion (322) is elastically protruded in the first direction (X) from the upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300) toward the slider (200), the slider (200) descending along the first direction (X) during electrode notching preferentially presses the second elastic protrusion (322) of the upper holder (320), so that the pressure of the slider (200) is preferentially applied to the second elastic protrusion (322) and at the same time is distributed by the elasticity of the second elastic protrusion (322), so that the second elastic protrusion (322) is suppressed from being broken by the pressure of the slider (200), and even if the second elastic protrusion (322) is broken by the slider (200), only the second elastic protrusion (322) is replaced, thereby suppressing an increase in the electrode notching time and electrode notching cost due to the replacement of the entire notching mold (300).

[0069] For example, the first elastic protrusion (321) may protrude further from the upper holder (320) toward the slider (200) compared to the second elastic protrusion (322), but is not limited thereto, and the second elastic protrusion (322) may protrude further from the upper holder (320) toward the slider (200) compared to the first elastic protrusion (321).

[0070] Since the first elastic protrusion (321) and the second elastic protrusion (322) are elastically protruded in the first direction (X) from the upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300) toward the slider (200), the slider (200) descending along the first direction (X) during electrode notching sequentially and preferentially presses the first elastic protrusion (321) and the second elastic protrusion (322) of the upper holder (320), and since the shaking of the upper holder (320) is minimized by the elastic restoring force of the first elastic protrusion (321) and the second elastic protrusion (322), the parallelism of the upper holder (320) descending along the first direction (X) to press the electrode is improved.

[0071] In addition, since the first elastic protrusion (321) and the second elastic protrusion (322) are elastically protruded in the first direction (X) from the upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300) toward the slider (200), the slider (200) descending along the first direction (X) during electrode notching sequentially and preferentially presses the first elastic protrusion (321) and the second elastic protrusion (322) of the upper holder (320), so that the pressure of the slider (200) is preferentially applied to the first elastic protrusion (321) and the second elastic protrusion (322) while being distributed by the elasticity of the first elastic protrusion (321) and the elasticity of the second elastic protrusion (322), the first elastic protrusion (321) and the second elastic protrusion (322) are suppressed from being broken by the pressure of the slider (200), and at the same time, the first elastic protrusion (321) and the second elastic protrusion (322) are prevented from being damaged by the pressure of the slider (200). Even if at least one of the protrusions (322) is damaged by the slider (200), an increase in electrode notching time and electrode notching cost due to replacement of the entire notching mold (300) is suppressed by replacing at least one of the first elastic protrusion (321) and the second elastic protrusion (322).

[0072] Referring to FIG. 3, the die plate (330) is supported on the lower holder (310) and includes a plurality of third guide pins (331) extending in the first direction (X). Various known dies corresponding to the shape of the electrode to be notched can be mounted on the die plate (330).

[0073] A plurality of third guide pins (331) extend from the upper surface of the die plate (330) in the first direction (X). The plurality of third guide pins (331) are located at corners of the upper surface of the die plate (330). A punch holder (340) supported by the upper holder (320) is supported by the plurality of third guide pins (331), and the punch holder (340) is guided by the third guide pins (331) to descend to the die plate (330) along the first direction (X).

[0074] The punch holder (340) is supported on the upper holder (320) on the die plate (330). The punch holder (340) is guided by a plurality of third guide pins (331) and lowered to the die plate (330) along the first direction (X).

[0075] Fig. 6 is a perspective view showing a die and a punch of a notching mold of an electrode notching device according to one embodiment. The die and punch illustrated in Fig. 6 may have various known structures.

[0076] Referring to FIG. 6 and FIG. 3, a die (350) is coupled to a die plate (330). The die (350) may be coupled to the die plate (330) in various known structures. The die (350) may have a shape corresponding to the shape of the electrode (10) to be notched. An electrode (10) in the form of a sheet, including a coated portion (11) coated with an electrode active material and a non-coated portion (12) uncoated with an electrode active material, is mounted on the die (350). The electrode (10) in the form of a sheet may extend along the second direction (Y) on the die (350), but is not limited thereto.

[0077] The punch (360) is coupled to the punch holder (340). The punch (360) can be coupled to the punch holder (340) in various known structures. The punch (360) can have a shape corresponding to the shape of the electrode (10) to be notched. The punch (360) is coupled to the punch holder (340) supported by the upper holder (320) descending along the first direction (X) to press and notch the sheet-shaped electrode (10) placed on the die (350) to manufacture the electrode (10) of the secondary battery. The electrode (10) of the secondary battery notched by the punch (360) can have a non-conductive portion (12) that forms an electrode tab, but is not limited thereto.

[0078] A stripper (370) is coupled to a punch holder (340) and pressurizes an electrode (10). The stripper (370) is coupled to a punch holder (340) supported by an upper holder (320) that descends along a first direction (X) and fixes a sheet-shaped electrode (10) placed on a die (350). The stripper (370) can suppress movement of the electrode (10) notched by the punch (360). The stripper (370) may have various known shapes.

[0079] In one embodiment, an electrode notching device (1000) has a first elastic protrusion (321) of a notching mold (300) that elastically protrudes in a first direction (X) from an upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300) toward a slider (200), so that when the electrode is notched, the slider (200) descending along the first direction (X) first presses the first elastic protrusion (321) of the upper holder (320), and since the shaking of the upper holder (320) is minimized by the elastic restoring force of the first elastic protrusion (321), the parallelism of the upper holder (320) descending along the first direction (X) to press the electrode is improved.

[0080] In addition, the electrode notching device (1000) according to one embodiment is such that the first elastic protrusion (321) of the notching mold (300) protrudes elastically in the first direction (X) from the upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300) toward the slider (200), so that when the electrode is notched, the slider (200) descending along the first direction (X) preferentially presses the first elastic protrusion (321) of the upper holder (320), so that the pressure of the slider (200) is preferentially applied to the first elastic protrusion (321) and is distributed by the elasticity of the first elastic protrusion (321), so that the first elastic protrusion (321) is suppressed from being damaged by the pressure of the slider (200), and even if the first elastic protrusion (321) is damaged by the slider (200), only the first elastic protrusion (321) is replaced, thereby reducing the electrode notching time and electrode according to the replacement of the entire notching mold (300). The increase in notching costs is suppressed.

[0081] In addition, in the electrode notching device (1000) according to one embodiment, the second elastic protrusion (322) of the notching mold (300) protrudes elastically in the first direction (X) from the upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300) toward the slider (200), so that when the electrode is notched, the slider (200) descending along the first direction (X) first presses the second elastic protrusion (322) of the upper holder (320), and since the shaking of the upper holder (320) is minimized by the elastic restoring force of the second elastic protrusion (322), the parallelism of the upper holder (320) descending along the first direction (X) to press the electrode is improved.

[0082] In addition, the electrode notching device (1000) according to one embodiment is such that the second elastic protrusion (322) of the notching mold (300) protrudes elastically in the first direction (X) from the upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300) toward the slider (200), so that when the electrode is notched, the slider (200) descending along the first direction (X) preferentially presses the second elastic protrusion (322) of the upper holder (320), so that the pressure of the slider (200) is preferentially applied to the second elastic protrusion (322) and at the same time is distributed by the elasticity of the second elastic protrusion (322), so that the second elastic protrusion (322) is suppressed from being damaged by the pressure of the slider (200), and even if the second elastic protrusion (322) is damaged by the slider (200), only the second elastic protrusion (322) is replaced, thereby reducing the electrode notching time and electrode according to the replacement of the entire notching mold (300). The increase in notching costs is suppressed.

[0083] In addition, in the electrode notching device (1000) according to one embodiment, the first elastic protrusion (321) and the second elastic protrusion (322) are elastically protruded in the first direction (X) from the upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300) toward the slider (200), so that when the electrode is notched, the slider (200) descending along the first direction (X) sequentially and preferentially presses the first elastic protrusion (321) and the second elastic protrusion (322) of the upper holder (320), and since the shaking of the upper holder (320) is minimized by the elastic restoring force of the first elastic protrusion (321) and the second elastic protrusion (322), the parallelism of the upper holder (320) descending along the first direction (X) to press the electrode is improved.

[0084] In addition, the electrode notching device (1000) according to one embodiment has a first elastic protrusion (321) and a second elastic protrusion (322) that protrude elastically in the first direction (X) from the upper holder (320) of the notching mold (300) toward the slider (200), so that when the electrode notching is performed, the slider (200) descending along the first direction (X) sequentially and preferentially presses the first elastic protrusion (321) and the second elastic protrusion (322) of the upper holder (320), so that the pressure of the slider (200) is preferentially applied to the first elastic protrusion (321) and the second elastic protrusion (322) and at the same time is distributed by the elasticity of the first elastic protrusion (321) and the elasticity of the second elastic protrusion (322), so that the first elastic protrusion (321) and the second elastic protrusion (322) are suppressed from being broken by the pressure of the slider (200) and at the same time, the first elastic Even if at least one of the protrusion (321) and the second elastic protrusion (322) is broken by the slider (200), an increase in electrode notching time and electrode notching cost due to replacement of the entire notching mold (300) is suppressed by replacing at least one of the first elastic protrusion (321) and the second elastic protrusion (322).

[0085] For example, an electrode notching device (1000) and a notching mold (300) are provided in which the parallelism of a notching mold (300) for pressing an electrode is improved, thereby improving the notching quality for the electrode and simultaneously increasing the life of the notching mold (300), thereby suppressing an increase in electrode notching time and an increase in electrode notching cost.

[0086] Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail above, the scope of the present invention is not limited thereto, and various modifications and improvements made by those skilled in the art using the basic concept of the present invention defined in the following claims also fall within the scope of the present invention.
