Abstract
Description
Elastic member for pump dispenser The present disclosure relates to an elastic member for a pump dispenser, and more particularly, to an elastic member made of a non-metallic material that is mounted inside a pump dispenser and provides a uniform elastic restoring force identical to that of a conventional metal spring. In general, a pump dispenser is a device that uses pressurized gas, liquid, or other contents filled inside a sealed container to dispense a certain amount of the contents. It is applied to various sealed containers that store cosmetics, perfumes, medicines, and food. When a user applies an external force to the pump dispenser, the contents inside the container coupled to the pump dispenser may be discharged externally. Meanwhile, the pump dispenser is equipped with a spring, so that when the user's external force is released, the deformed pump dispenser can be restored to its initial state. However, the spring is made of metal. Therefore, if the pump is to be recycled, the metal spring within the pump must be separated. However, the complex structure of the pump makes it difficult for users to separate the metal spring within the pump. [Prior Art Literature] [Patent Document] (Patent Document 0001) Republic of Korea Publication Patent No. 10-2000-0019520 (Published on April 15, 2000) The present disclosure is conceived in response to the aforementioned background technology, and is intended to provide an elastic member formed of a non-metallic material having elastic restoring force instead of a metal spring. The technical problems of the present disclosure are not limited to the technical problems mentioned above, and other technical problems not mentioned will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the description below. An elastic member made of polypropylene used in a pump dispenser for solving the above-described problem comprises: an upper ring; a lower ring; a plurality of connecting rings that are connected in a zigzag pattern between the upper ring and the lower ring to provide an elastic restoring force that is compressed or stretched; wherein two adjacent connecting rings among the plurality of connecting rings are connected at each end so as to be inclined to each other, and continuous connecting rings are alternately connected at one side and the other side in the width direction of the elastic member, and the plurality of connecting rings are inclined so as not to be parallel to the upper ring and the lower ring when no external force is applied to the elastic member; And a first reinforcing member formed by reinforcing a material of the same material as the plurality of connecting rings at each end where the two adjacent connecting rings are connected, thereby reinforcing elastic restoring force while connecting the two adjacent connecting rings at the portion where the two adjacent connecting rings are connected among the plurality of connecting rings; wherein the portion where the two adjacent connecting rings are connected is formed thicker than the thickness of each of the upper ring, the lower ring, and the plurality of connecting rings due to the first reinforcing member, and the upper ring, the lower ring, and the plurality of connecting rings may have a central hole through which at least a portion of the stem of the pump dispenser passes. Since the elastic member for the pump dispenser according to the present disclosure is formed of a non-metallic material having elastic restoring force instead of a metallic material, the pump dispenser can be recycled without having to be separately disassembled. The effects that can be obtained from the present disclosure are not limited to the effects mentioned above, and other effects that are not mentioned will be clearly understood by a person having ordinary skill in the art to which the present disclosure pertains from the description below. FIG. 2 is a perspective view illustrating an example of a pump dispenser in which an elastic member is used according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view taken along line A-A' of Figure 2. An elastic member for a pump dispenser according to the present invention is an elastic member made of polypropylene used in a pump dispenser, wherein the elastic member comprises: an upper ring; a lower ring; and a plurality of connecting rings that are connected in a zigzag pattern between the upper ring and the lower ring to provide an elastic restoring force that is compressed or stretched, wherein two adjacent connecting rings among the plurality of connecting rings are connected at each end so as to be inclined to each other, and continuous connecting rings are alternately connected at one side and the other side in the width direction of the elastic member, and the plurality of connecting rings are inclined so as not to be parallel to the upper ring and the lower ring when no external force is applied to the elastic member; And a first reinforcing member that strengthens elastic restoring force while connecting two adjacent connecting rings at a portion where the two adjacent connecting rings are connected among the plurality of connecting rings; wherein the first reinforcing member is formed by reinforcing a material of the same material as the plurality of connecting rings at each end where the two adjacent connecting rings are connected, and the plurality of connecting rings are alternately connected at one width direction side and the other width direction side through the first reinforcing member, and are connected to each other at a preset angle, and the portion where the two adjacent connecting rings are connected is formed thicker than the thickness of each of the upper ring, the lower ring, and the plurality of connecting rings due to the first reinforcing member, and the first and second faces of the two adjacent connecting rings that face each other form a single tangent, and the upper ring, the lower ring, and the plurality of connecting rings are characterized in that they have a central hole through which at least a portion of the stem of the pump dispenser passes. These embodiments are provided solely to ensure the completeness of the present disclosure and to fully inform those skilled in the art of the disclosure of the scope of the disclosure, and the present disclosure is defined solely by the scope of the claims. Therefore, the definition should be based on the contents throughout this specification. Using non-metallic elastic components instead of metallic springs in pump dispensers can be beneficial from a recyclability perspective. However, non-metallic elastic components may struggle to provide sufficient elastic resilience. Furthermore, even if they do provide sufficient elastic resilience, their resilience is so strong that they require a strong external force to deform. In this case, the user of the pump dispenser may need to press hard on the pump dispenser to dispense the contents. To address this issue, the non-metallic elastic member must have a special structure. This will be described in detail below. FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an elastic member for a pump dispenser according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. FIG. 2 is a perspective view illustrating an example of a pump dispenser using an elastic member according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view taken along line A-A' of FIG. 2. FIGS. 2 and 3 are drawings illustrating examples of pump dispensers that use the elastic member illustrated in FIG. 1. Accordingly, the elastic member illustrated in FIG. 1 may be used in the pump dispensers illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3, but may also be used in pump dispensers other than the pump dispensers illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3. In addition, the elastic member illustrated in FIG. 1 may be positioned at a position different from that illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3. The elastic member (400) of the present disclosure may be used in a pump dispenser. Here, a pump dispenser is a device that discharges a certain amount of gas, liquid, or other contents filled inside a sealed container by pressurization for use. This may mean that the pump dispenser is applied to various sealed containers for storing cosmetics, perfumes, medicines, food, etc. However, the present disclosure is not limited thereto. The elastic member (400) may be formed of a non-metallic material having elastic restoring force when compressed or stretched. Here, the elastic member (400) may be formed of one of a plastic material, a rubber material, or a thermoplastic elastomer. However, the present invention is not limited thereto. The plastic material may include at least one of PP (polypropylene), PE (polyethylene), EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer), PVC (polyvinyl chloride), and PU (polyurethane), but is not limited thereto. The rubber material is a chemically cross-linked polymer and may include at least one of natural rubber and synthetic rubber. Here, the synthetic rubber may include, but is not limited to, styrene-butadiene rubber. A thermoplastic elastomer can be a polymer material that can be molded like a plastic that becomes flexible at high temperatures, and exhibits the properties of an elastomer at room temperature. Therefore, the elastic member (400) can have resilience by using a thermoplastic elastomer that exhibits the properties of a rubber elastomer at room temperature. Specifically, a thermoplastic elastomer is a polymer that exhibits rubber elasticity under service conditions and can be molded like a thermoplastic plastic under certain molding conditions. In other words, this connection structure of multiple linkages can prevent the elastic resilience from being too strong. Meanwhile, a first elastic restoring force reinforcing member may be provided at a portion where two adjacent connecting links among a plurality of connecting links (430) are connected. The first elastic restoring force reinforcing member may strengthen the elastic restoring force while providing a function of connecting two adjacent connecting links. Specifically, each of the plurality of connecting rings (430) is connected to each other, and the portion where each of the plurality of connecting rings (430) is connected to each other may be reinforced with a material of the same material as the plurality of connecting rings (430). Here, the reinforced portion may be a first elastic restoring force reinforcing portion. Accordingly, the portion where the plurality of connecting rings (430) are connected to each other may be thicker than other portions due to the first elastic restoring force reinforcing portion. For example, among a plurality of connecting links (430), two adjacent connecting links may be connected at each end through a first elastic restoring force reinforcing member so as to form an incline with respect to each other. In addition, consecutive connecting links may be alternately connected through the first elastic restoring force reinforcing member at one widthwise side (A) of the elastic member (400) and the other widthwise side (B) of the elastic member. Even when a plurality of connecting rings (430) have a structure in which they are simply joined, an elastic restoring force may be generated. In this case, the elastic restoring force may not have a sufficient strength to return the pump dispenser to its original state when the external force to the pump dispenser is removed. However, as in the present disclosure, when a first elastic restoring force reinforcing member is further provided at a portion where two adjacent connecting rings among the plurality of connecting rings (430) are connected, the elastic restoring force may be increased. In this case, the elastic restoring force may have a sufficient strength to return the pump dispenser to its original state when the external force to the pump dispenser is removed. Meanwhile, among the plurality of connecting links (430), the first connecting link connected to the upper link (410) can be coupled to the upper link (410) through the second elastic restoring force reinforcing member. In addition, among the plurality of connecting links, the second connecting link connected to the lower link (420) can be coupled to the lower link (420) through the third elastic restoring force reinforcing member. Accordingly, the elastic restoring force of the elastic member (400) can be further reinforced. Meanwhile, when the upper ring (410) and the lower ring (410) are formed of a non-metallic material having elastic restoring force, the pressure applied to the elastic member (400) can be partially absorbed by the upper ring (410) and the lower ring (410). Therefore, it is possible to prevent damage such as breakage or cracking of the configuration of the elastic member (400) (e.g., the upper ring (410), the lower ring (420), and the plurality of connecting rings (430)) due to excessive external pressure. In addition, a through hole is formed in the plurality of connecting rings (430) through which at least a portion of the stem (320) passes, and the plurality of connecting rings (430) may have the same shape and size. Accordingly, the plurality of connecting rings (430) may be connected to each other at a constant angle. That is, the plurality of connecting rings (430) may have a high elastic restoring force because the compression is performed more smoothly compared to an elastic body having a structure in which the angles of the connected portions are different due to different shapes and sizes. Meanwhile, when the elastic member (400) has a structure as described above in FIG. 1, the discharge portion (300 in FIG. 3) can be prevented from rotating when the stem is lowered by an external force. Therefore, the user can use the pump dispenser more conveniently. In addition, in order to secure an appropriate elastic restoring force, it is preferable to make the length of the elastic member (400) long, but since the length of the elastic member (400) cannot be made infinitely long, the structure described above in FIG. 1 may be the best structure for securing a stroke while appropriately providing an elastic restoring force. In addition, when the elastic member (400) has a structure as described above in FIG. 1, twisting is prevented during operation of the pump dispenser, thereby providing a more stable and uniform elastic restoring force. Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, the pump dispenser may include a housing (100), a delivery portion (200), a discharge portion (300), and an elastic member (400). However, the above-described components are not essential for implementing the pump dispenser, and the pump dispenser may have more or fewer components than the components listed above. In the present disclosure, the pump dispenser may be connected to a container. Here, the container connected to the pump dispenser may be formed in a cylindrical shape of a certain depth capable of containing liquid contents, with an open top and a closed bottom. However, the present disclosure is not limited thereto. Meanwhile, the housing (100) can be fastened to the transmission unit (200) and combined with the discharge unit (300). Specifically, the transmission unit (200) can be fastened to the lower part of the housing (100), and the discharge unit (300) can be coupled to the upper part of the housing (100). In addition, the housing (100) may be formed in a hollow shape. Specifically, the housing (100) may be formed in a cylindrical shape with open upper and lower surfaces and a hollow interior. In addition, the housing (100) may be provided with at least a portion of an elastic member (400) therein. Meanwhile, the housing (100) may have a first space (110) and a second space (120) therein. Here, the first space (110) may be provided at the upper portion of the housing (100), and the second space (120) may be provided at the lower portion of the housing (100). However, the above-described components are not essential for implementing the housing (100), and the housing (100) may have more or fewer components than the components listed above. The first space (110) may be a space where contents are not transferred from the container. That is, the first space (110) is a space separated from the second space (120) by the sub-stem (360) and piston (370) of the discharge unit (300) described later, and contents transferred from the container to the second space (120) may not be transferred to the first space. The second space (120) may be a space where contents are transferred from the container. Here, the contents may be transferred to the second space (120) through a transfer unit (200). Meanwhile, the housing (100) may be formed of a plastic material. For example, the housing (100) may be manufactured from at least one material selected from the group consisting of HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride), PP (Polypropylene), PE (Polyethylene), ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene Copolymer), PC-ABS (Polycarbonate (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene Copolymer), and EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate Copolymer). However, the present invention is not limited thereto. The transmission unit (200) may be arranged and fastened to the lower portion of the housing (100). Specifically, the upper portion of the transmission unit (200) may be fastened to the lower portion of the housing (100). Here, a second mounting groove (210) may be formed in the upper portion of the transmission unit (200). Meanwhile, a dip tube (not shown) may be connected to the delivery unit (200). The dip tube (not shown) may transfer the contents contained within the container to the interior of the housing (100) (e.g., the second space (120)) via the delivery unit (200). Specifically, the dip tube (not shown) may be in the form of a tube of a certain length, with one end disposed at the lower portion of the housing (100) and the other end disposed within the container, thereby transferring the contents contained within the container to the interior of the housing (100). The discharge unit (300) may include an actuator (310), a stem (320), a chaplet (330), a gasket (340), a closer (350), a sub-stem (360), and a piston (370). However, the above-described components are not essential for implementing the discharge unit (300), and the discharge unit (300) may have more or fewer components than the components listed above. The discharge unit (300) is coupled to the upper part of the housing (100), and some of the components included in the discharge unit (300) (e.g., the actuator (310)) can move up and down by external pressure to discharge the contents contained inside the housing (100) to the outside. The discharge portion (300) may be formed of a plastic material. For example, the plastic material may include at least one of HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride), PP (Polypropylene), PE (Polyethylene), ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene Copolymer), PC-ABS (Polycarbonate-Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene Copolymer), and EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate Copolymer). However, the present invention is not limited thereto. Meanwhile, the actuator (310) is connected to the stem (320) and can discharge the contents to the outside. The actuator (310) may include a passage member (311), a nozzle member (312), a guard member (313), and an extension member (314). However, the above-described components are not essential for implementing the actuator (310), and the actuator (310) may have more or fewer components than the components listed above. The passage member (311) is connected to surround at least a portion of the upper portion of the stem (320) and may have a second passage (311a) therein. Here, the second passage (311a) may be connected to the first passage (321) of the stem (320) to be described later. In this case, the first passage (321) and the second passage (311a) may serve as passages through which contents are moved. Meanwhile, the second passage (311a) may be formed vertically, i.e., in the longitudinal direction, so that contents are moved from the bottom to the top through the first passage (321). Meanwhile, the nozzle member (312) may be formed on the upper portion of the passage member (311) and may have a third passage (312a) therein. Here, the third passage (312a) may be connected to the second passage (311a) to discharge the contents to the outside. Specifically, the third passage (312a) may have one side open to communicate with the second passage (311a), and the other side may extend outward to discharge the contents to the outside. In addition, a discharge port may be formed on the other side of the third passage (312a). Accordingly, the contents accommodated in the second space (120) of the housing (100) can be moved from the bottom to the top through the first passage (321) of the stem (320) and the second passage (311a) of the passage member (311), and can be discharged to the outside through the discharge port of the third passage (312a) of the nozzle member (312) connected to the second passage (311a). Meanwhile, the guard member (313) may be formed to surround the passage member (311) along the perimeter of the passage member (311) and extend downward from the passage member (311). Specifically, the guard member (313) may surround at least a portion of the elastic member (400) when coupled to the housing (100). Therefore, the guard member (313) may prevent external foreign substances from coming into contact with the elastic member (400) when coupled to the housing (100), thereby maintaining the elastic restoring force of the elastic member (400). However, the present invention is not limited thereto. Meanwhile, the extension member (314) may be formed to extend outward from the outer surface of the guard member (313). Specifically, the extension member (314) may be formed to extend in the opposite direction to the nozzle member (312). Therefore, when the extension member (314) is present, the area that the user's palm touches may be expanded, allowing the user to easily apply pressure to the actuator (310). According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the vertical cross-section of the upper portion of the actuator (310) may have an arch shape. In this case, a user can easily apply pressure to the actuator (310). Meanwhile, the stem (320) may be partially inserted into the interior of the housing (100) from the upper portion of the housing (100). Specifically, the stem (320) may be in the shape of a cylinder having at least a portion disposed in the first space (110) and having a first passage (321) therein. More specifically, the lower portion of the stem (320) may be disposed in the first space (110) of the housing (100), and the upper portion of the stem (320) may be provided to protrude upward from the upper surface of the housing (100). However, the shape of the stem (320) is not limited thereto. In addition, the upper part of the stem (320) may be connected to the lower part of the actuator (310). Specifically, the outer surface of the upper part of the stem (320) may be coupled to be in contact with the inner surface of the passage member (311) of the actuator (310). Accordingly, the second passage (311a) of the passage member (311) and the first passage (321) of the stem (320) may be connected. That is, the contents of the second space (120) of the housing (100) may be moved to the second passage (311a) of the passage member (311) through the first passage (321) of the stem (320) and may be discharged to the outside through the third passage (312a) of the nozzle member (312) connected to the second passage (311a). In addition, an elastic member (400) may be provided on the outer surface of the stem (320). Specifically, the elastic member (400) may be provided on the outer surface of the stem (320) to surround at least a portion of the outer surface of the stem (320). Meanwhile, the chaplet (330) may be formed in the shape of a hollow cylinder and at least a portion thereof may be placed in the first space (110) of the housing (100). Specifically, the chaplet (330) may be placed at least a portion thereof in the first space (110) so as to be in close contact with the inner wall of the housing (100). In addition, the inside of the chaplet (330) may be penetrated by a stem (320) and an elastic member (400) may be provided on the outer circumferential surface of the stem (320). Specifically, the chaplet (330) may be formed to have a length that is inserted to the middle portion of the upper and lower portions of the housing (100). And, the lower part of the chaplet (330) may include a fixing member (331) that is formed to protrude inward. Here, the lower part of the elastic member (400) may be fixed on the upper surface of the fixing member (331). Therefore, when the actuator (310) and the stem (320) are lowered by external pressure, the lower part of the elastic member (400) may not be lowered by the fixing member (331) of the chaplet (330), and only the upper and middle parts of the elastic member (400) may be lowered. Therefore, when compression is performed and the external pressure is removed, the elastic member (400) may be tensioned and at least one component of the discharge portion (300) (e.g., the actuator (310) and the stem (320)) may be positioned to the position before the external pressure is applied by the elastic restoring force. In addition, the fixing member (331) can prevent the inserted stem (320) from descending more than a certain depth. Specifically, when the actuator (310) and the stem (320) are lowered to a certain depth by external pressure, the guard member (313) of the actuator (310) is caught on the fixing member (331) of the chaplet (330), thereby preventing the stem (320) from descending more than a certain depth in the downward direction. Meanwhile, the gasket (340) is formed in a ring shape and can be coupled to the upper outer surface of the chaplet (330) to form a packing between the chaplet (330) and the closure (350). In addition, the gasket (340) can have a gasket joint formed on the outside to be coupled with the closure (350). Specifically, the gasket joint can mean a portion where the lower area of the gasket (340) is formed larger than the upper area, thereby forming a ridge between the upper and lower portions. Meanwhile, the closure (350) may be formed in the form of a hollow cylinder with an upper portion covering the outer surface of the gasket (340) and the upper portion of the chapel (330), and a lower portion may be provided inwardly spaced apart from the housing (100) by a certain distance. Accordingly, a container may be coupled to a space formed apart from the housing (100). However, the position at which the container is coupled is not limited thereto. Meanwhile, the sub-stem (360) is coupled to the lower portion of the stem (320) and can move up and down by external pressure. In addition, the sub-stem (360) may have a first mounting groove (361) formed on the inside of the lower surface. According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the sub-stem (360) may have a sub-stem passage formed in a longitudinal direction through which contents are moved while the inside is hollow. Accordingly, the sub-stem (360) can move up and down by external pressure and transfer contents to the stem (320) through the sub-stem passage within the housing (100). Meanwhile, the inner side of the piston (370) may be provided to be in close contact with the outer surface of the sub-stem (360), and the outer side of the piston (370) may be provided to be in close contact with the inner wall of the housing (100). Therefore, the piston (370) may separate the interior of the housing (100) into a first space (110) and a second space (120). Specifically, the space above the piston (370) in the interior space of the housing (100) may be the first space (110), and the space below the piston (370) may be the second space (120). In addition, the piston (370) may prevent the contents of the second space (120) from moving to the first space (110). In addition, the piston (370) may be moved up and down by the sub-stem (360) to change the pressure inside the housing (100), thereby causing the contents to move. Meanwhile, in order to transfer the contents contained in the container connected to the delivery unit (200) to the inside of the housing (100) (e.g., the second space (120)) and to discharge the contents delivered to the inside of the housing (100) to the outside through the discharge unit (300), a change in the pressure inside the housing (100) is required. Specifically, as a part of the discharge unit (300) is lowered by the external pressure, the space inside the housing (100) becomes narrower and the pressure inside the housing (100) increases, so that the contents contained inside the housing (100) are discharged to the outside through the discharge unit (300). Then, when a part of the lowered discharge unit (300) is raised to the original position, the pressure inside the housing (100) decreases, so that the contents contained in the container are moved to the inside of the housing (100) along the dip tube (not shown) of the delivery unit (200). Therefore, it is important to smoothly move a part of the discharge portion (300) up and down inside the housing (100). According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the pump dispenser can smoothly move a part of the discharge portion (300) up and down through an elastic member (400). The elastic member (400) may be provided so as to be at least partially disposed in the first space (110) and to surround at least a portion of the outer surface of the stem (320). Specifically, the upper portion of the elastic member (400) may be provided on the upper portion of the stem (320), and the lower portion may be secured to the upper surface of the mounting member (331) of the chaplet (330). Therefore, when the stem (320) is lowered by external pressure, the upper and middle portions of the elastic member (400) may be lowered together with the stem (320), and the lower portion of the elastic member (400) may not be lowered by the mounting member (331) of the chaplet (330). Meanwhile, when downward pressure is applied through the actuator (310) connected to the stem (320) and then the pressure is released, the elastic member (400) can position at least one component (e.g., the actuator (310), the stem (320), the sub-stem (360), and the piston (370)) of the discharge portion (300) to the position before the pressure was applied by the elastic restoring force. Accordingly, the elastic member (400) can have a configuration for smooth compression or tension. A detailed description thereof will be described later with reference to FIG. 3. As in some embodiments described above with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3, the pump dispenser includes an elastic member (400) formed of a non-metallic material having elastic restoring force instead of a metallic spring, so that it can be easily recycled without disassembly. In addition, the pump dispenser includes a guard member (313) of the actuator (310), and the elastic member (400) is arranged in a first space where the contents are not delivered. Accordingly, contact between the elastic member (400) and external foreign substances and the contents is prevented, so that the elastic restoring force of the elastic member (400) can be maintained. The description of the disclosed embodiments is provided to enable any person skilled in the art to make or use the present disclosure. Various modifications to these embodiments will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art, and the general principles defined herein may be applied to other embodiments without departing from the scope of the present disclosure. Therefore, the present disclosure is not intended to be limited to the embodiments disclosed herein, but is to be construed in the broadest scope consistent with the principles and novel features disclosed herein. As described above, the elastic member for the pump dispenser according to the present invention is formed of a non-metallic material having elastic restoring force instead of a metallic material, so that the pump dispenser can be recycled without having to be disassembled separately, and thus is an invention with very high industrial applicability.
