[0001] CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
[0002] This application claims priority to the Chinese patent application filed with the State Intellectual Property Office of China on August 25, 2023, with application number 202311086912.0 and application name “Energy Storage Device, Photovoltaic Storage System and Charging Network”, the entire contents of which are incorporated by reference into this application. Technical Field
[0003] The present application relates to the field of energy storage, and in particular to an energy storage device, a photovoltaic storage system, and a charging network. Background Art
[0004] Electrochemical energy storage is widely used in industrial and commercial parks, office buildings, and power stations. Considering layout flexibility, battery modules, battery management systems (BMS), power conversion systems (PCS), power distribution systems, and fire protection systems are typically integrated into a cabinet to form an energy storage device. As a key component of battery energy storage systems, energy storage devices have been widely used in new energy, smart grid, and energy-saving technologies. The charging and discharging of batteries in energy storage devices can help shift peaks and fill valleys, improve power quality, serve as a backup power source, and regulate frequency to contribute to smart grid development. Typically, energy storage devices spend relatively short periods in the charging and discharging state, spending the majority of their time in a static state. Even when the batteries are in a static state, their temperature must be managed to prevent startup failure or failure due to low or high temperatures. Existing energy storage devices generally only offer natural cooling or refrigeration component cooling, or require additional heating components to heat the batteries. Therefore, current energy storage devices cannot achieve the combined effects of natural air cooling, refrigeration component cooling, and low-temperature heating in a single system.
[0005] Summary of the Invention
[0006] The present application provides an energy storage device, a photovoltaic storage system, and a charging network, which enable the energy storage device to use different heat exchange methods to heat or cool the battery in different temperature environments.
[0007] In a first aspect, the present application provides an energy storage device comprising a first load, a second load, a thermal management module, a heat dissipation module, and a compressor. The first load is provided with a first heat exchange component, and the second load is provided with a second heat exchange component. The thermal management module is provided with at least four interfaces, including a first heat exchanger and a valve body assembly. The first heat exchanger comprises a first heat exchange channel and a second heat exchange channel, the first heat exchange channel being connected to the valve body assembly, the first heat exchange component being connected to the valve body assembly via a first interface, and the second heat exchange component being connected to the valve body assembly via a second interface. The heat dissipation module comprises a radiator and a second heat exchanger, the radiator being connected to the valve body assembly via a third interface. The compressor is connected in series with the second heat exchanger, and the compressor and the second heat exchanger are connected in series with the second heat exchange channel via a fourth interface. The valve body assembly is provided with multiple switchable valve ports to connect or disconnect the connection paths between the first heat exchange component, the second heat exchange component, the first heat exchange channel, and the radiator, thereby forming multiple heat exchange paths.
[0008] The energy storage device of the present application can heat or cool two loads. Among them, the first heat exchange channel is connected to the valve body assembly, and the first heat exchange component, the second heat exchange component and the radiator are all connected to the valve body assembly through different interfaces. The valve body assembly is provided with a plurality of switchable valve ports. Through the conversion connection between the plurality of valve ports in the valve body assembly, different connection relationships between the first load, the second load, the first heat exchange channel and the radiator can be realized, and different series-parallel connection loops can be formed between the four components, thereby forming different heat exchange paths. At the same time, a refrigeration circuit or a heating circuit is formed by using a compressor, a second heat exchange channel and a second heat exchanger. Thus, according to the external ambient temperature, the connection relationship of each valve port of the valve body assembly can be changed and the reversing channel in the reversing module can be replaced to realize the conversion of multiple heating or cooling methods, such as using a compressor to cool or heat the first load, using natural wind to heat or cool the first load, and using the heat released by the second load itself to heat or cool the first load.
[0009] The first load is a battery assembly, which includes batteries. The batteries are in contact with the first heat exchange component. The second load is a power assembly, which includes a power circuit. The power circuit is in contact with the second heat exchange component. The power circuit can be, for example, a BMS, a PCS, or other device.
[0010] In an optional implementation, the valve body assembly includes a first four-way valve and a second four-way valve, three of the four valve ports of each of the first four-way valve and the second four-way valve are correspondingly connected to the interface for connecting the first heat exchange component, the interface for connecting the second heat exchange component, and the interface for connecting the radiator, and the remaining one of the four valve ports is connected to one end of the first heat exchange channel.

One end of the second heat exchange component is connected to one end of the radiator via the first four-way valve, and the other end of the second heat exchange component is connected to the other end of the radiator via the second four-way valve. In this operating state, the first heat exchange component and the first heat exchange channel form a first heat exchange circuit, the second heat exchange component and the radiator form a second heat exchange circuit, and the compressor and the second heat exchange channel form a third heat exchange circuit. The heat exchange medium in the first heat exchange circuit exchanges heat with the heat exchange medium in the third heat exchange circuit. When the compressor is in the cooling state, it can cool the first load. When the compressor is in the heating state, it can heat the first load. Simultaneously, the heat in the second heat exchange circuit can be naturally cooled by the radiator. In this connection mode, the compressor can be stopped. One end of the first heat exchange channel is connected to one end of the radiator via the eight-way valve, and the other end of the first heat exchange channel is connected to the other end of the radiator via the eight-way valve. In this operating state, the compressor can be in a stopped state. The first heat exchange component and the second heat exchange component are connected in series, and the first heat exchanger is in a stopped heat exchange state. In this connection mode, the heat generated by the second load itself can be directly used to heat the first load.
[0023] The thermal management module is in the fourth operating state. One end of the first heat exchange component is connected to one end of the first heat exchange channel via the eight-way valve. The other end of the first heat exchange component is connected to one end of the second heat exchange component via the eight-way valve. The other end of the second heat exchange component is connected to one end of the radiator via the eight-way valve. The other end of the radiator is connected to the other end of the first heat exchange channel via the eight-way valve. In this operating state, the compressor is in operation. The first heat exchange component, the second heat exchange component, the first heat exchange channel, and the radiator form a first heat exchange circuit in series. The heat exchange medium in the first heat exchange circuit and the heat exchange medium in the second heat exchange circuit exchange heat in the first heat exchanger. In this process, in addition to using the compressor to heat the first load, the heat generated by the second load itself can also be used to heat the first load.
[0024] In an optional implementation, a first pump is provided between the first heat exchange component and the eight-way valve, and a second pump is provided between the second heat exchange component and the eight-way valve. The first pump drives the flow of the heat exchange medium in the first heat exchange component, and the second pump drives the flow of the heat exchange medium in the second heat exchange component.
[0025] In an optional implementation, the thermal management module further includes an electric heater, which is disposed between the first heat exchange component and the eight-way valve. The electric heater can be used to achieve an additional heating function.
[0026] In one optional implementation, the thermal management module further includes a first throttle valve connected in series with the second heat exchange channel. The reversing module can change the flow direction of the heat exchange medium from the compressor to the second heat exchange channel through the two switchable medium flow channels, and can make the heat exchange medium therein flow clockwise or counterclockwise, thereby using the heat exchange medium in the second heat exchange channel to heat or cool the heat exchange medium in the first heat exchange channel, and then use different heat exchange methods to achieve cooling or heating of the first load and the second load. Particularly, when cooling the heat exchange medium in the first heat exchange channel, the reversing module is set so that the flow direction of the heat exchange medium in the second heat exchange channel is opposite to the flow direction of the heat exchange medium in the first heat exchange channel. When the heat exchange medium in the first heat exchange channel is heated, the reversing module is configured to ensure that the flow direction of the heat exchange medium in the second heat exchange channel is the same as that in the first heat exchange channel. This allows for efficient heat exchange in different heat exchange modes.

[0077] In order to make the purpose, technical solutions and advantages of this application clearer, this application will be further described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0078] The terms used in the following embodiments are only for the purpose of describing specific embodiments and are not intended to limit the present application. As used in the specification and appended claims of this application, the singular expressions "a", "an", "above", "the", and "this" are intended to also include expressions such as "one or more", unless the context clearly indicates otherwise.
[0079] References to "one embodiment" or "some embodiments" in this specification mean that a particular feature, structure, or characteristic described in conjunction with that embodiment is included in one or more embodiments of the present application. Thus, phrases such as "in one embodiment," "in some embodiments," "in other embodiments," and "in yet other embodiments" appearing in various places in this specification do not necessarily refer to the same embodiment, but rather mean "one or more but not all embodiments," unless otherwise specifically emphasized. The terms "including," "comprising," "having," and variations thereof mean "including but not limited to," unless otherwise specifically emphasized.
[0080] Energy storage devices can be used in multiple application scenarios, including industrial and commercial energy storage and power station energy storage. Examples of industrial and commercial energy storage include small-scale industrial and commercial (such as small factories), medium-scale industrial and commercial energy storage, large-scale industrial and commercial energy storage, solar-powered storage and charging station energy storage, and small and medium-sized microgrid (such as islands) energy storage. Power station energy storage can include wind-solar-powered storage stations, grid-powered storage stations, and large microgrid power stations. Energy storage devices can also be used in data centers, vehicle charging stations, and other application scenarios. Batteries in energy storage devices need to be stored and operated at appropriate temperatures. When the ambient temperature is too high or too low, the batteries may not function or their service life may be reduced. For example, if the ambient temperature is too high, the batteries may burn or explode. If the ambient temperature is too low, the batteries cannot reach their normal starting temperature, making charging and discharging impossible. To maintain the batteries at the appropriate operating temperature, a heat exchange system must be installed in the energy storage device to ensure normal operation. Therefore, embodiments of the present application provide a temperature control system that can be used to control the temperature of batteries in an energy storage device, such as by heating or cooling them, to ensure that the batteries in the energy storage device remain within the operating temperature range.
[0081] Figure 1 is a schematic diagram of the framework structure of a temperature control system provided in an embodiment of the present application. Figure 2 is a schematic diagram of the connection structure of a temperature control system in an embodiment. As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the temperature control system in an embodiment of the present application includes a first load 10, a second load 20, a thermal management module 30, a heat dissipation module 40, a reversing module 50 and a compressor 60. Among them, the thermal management module 30 is provided with a first heat exchanger 31 and a valve body assembly 32, and the heat dissipation module 40 is provided with a second heat exchanger 41 and a radiator 42. The first load 10 and the second load 20 can realize various forms of heat exchange circuits through the valve body assembly 32, the first heat exchange channel 311 and the heat dissipation module 40. At the same time, the heat exchange circuit formed by the connection of the compressor 60 and the reversing module 50 can realize various forms of heating and cooling methods. Therefore, the temperature control system in an embodiment of the present application can realize the switching of multiple temperature scenes by using the same components.
[0082] The composition and connection relationship of each component of the temperature control system of the present application will be further explained below in conjunction with specific embodiments.
[0083] Example 1
[0084] As shown in Figure 2, the temperature control system of an embodiment of the present application can be connected to two loads, namely a first load 10 and a second load 20. The system can heat or cool one of the first load 10 and the second load 20, or both simultaneously. Alternatively, one of the loads can be heated and the other cooled. The specific temperature control settings can be set based on the specific operating temperatures of the first load 10 and the second load 20. The first load 10 is a battery 12 assembly, and the second load 20 is a power module. The battery 12 assembly includes a battery 12 and a first heat exchange component. The battery 12 may include multiple cells. The first heat exchange component is in contact with the battery 12 and may be located, for example, at the bottom of the power module. The power module may include a power circuit 22 and a second heat exchange component. The second heat exchange component may be in contact with the power circuit 22 and may be located, for example, at the bottom of the power supply system (PCS). The power circuit 22 may include, for example, a PCS. The PCS may be electrically connected to the battery 12 to control the charging and discharging functions of the battery 12.
[0085] The first heat exchange component and the second heat exchange component can be heat exchange plates or immersion liquid cooling modules, respectively. The following explanation will be made by assuming that the first heat exchange component is the first heat exchange plate 11 and the second heat exchange component is the second heat exchange plate 21 .
[0086] As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the thermal management module 30 has four pairs of interfaces. The first heat exchange plate 11 is connected to one pair of interfaces at each end. The second heat exchange plate 21 is connected to another pair of interfaces at each end. The heat dissipation assembly 40 is connected to another pair of interfaces. The interfaces for connecting to the first heat exchange plate 11, the second heat exchange plate 21, and the heat dissipation module 40 are all connected to the valve body assembly within the thermal management module. The specific connection relationships will be described in detail later.
[0087] The four pairs of interfaces of the thermal management system 30, i.e., eight interfaces, are respectively designated as the first interface 301, the second interface 302, the third interface 303, the fourth interface 304, the fifth interface 305, the sixth interface 306, the seventh interface 307, and the eighth interface 308. The first interface 301 and the second interface 302 are the first pair of interfaces, respectively connected to the two ends of the first heat exchange plate 11. The thermal management module 30 forms a heat exchange path with the first heat exchange plate 11 of the first load 10 through the first pair of interfaces. The third interface 303 and the fourth interface 304 are the second pair of interfaces, respectively connected to the two ends of the second heat exchange plate 21. The thermal management module 30 forms a heat exchange path with the second heat exchange plate 21 of the second load 20 through the second pair of interfaces. The fifth interface 305 and the sixth interface 306 are the third pair of interfaces, respectively connected to the two ends of the heat dissipation module 40. The thermal management module 30 forms a heat exchange path with the heat dissipation module 40 through this third pair of interfaces. The seventh interface 307 and the eighth interface 308 form a fourth pair of interfaces. The seventh interface 307 is connected to the compressor 60 and the reversing module 50, and the eighth interface 308 is connected to the heat dissipation module 40. Thus, the thermal management module 30 forms a heat exchange path with the reversing module 50, the compressor 60, and the heat dissipation module 40 through the seventh interface 307 and the eighth interface 308. The connection relationship between the reversing module 50, the compressor 60, and the heat dissipation module 40 will be described in detail later.
[0088] As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the thermal management module 30 may include a first heat exchanger 31 and a valve body assembly 32. The first heat exchanger 31 has a first heat exchange channel 311 and a second heat exchange channel 312. The first heat exchange channel 311 has a first pair of ports, and the second heat exchange channel 312 has a second pair of ports. One of the first pair of ports of the first heat exchange channel 311 can communicate with at least one of the first port 301, the third port 303, and the fifth port 305 of the thermal management module 30 via the valve body assembly 32, and the other port can communicate with at least one of the second port 302, the fourth port 304, and the sixth port 306 via the valve body assembly 32. The second pair of ports of the second heat exchange channel 312 are respectively connected to the seventh port 307 and the eighth port 308 of the thermal management module 30. That is, one port of the second pair of ports is connected to the seventh port 307, and the other port is connected to the eighth port 308. The two ports in the first pair of ports are respectively designated as the first port and the second port. The two ports in the second pair of ports are respectively designated as the third port and the fourth port. The first port and the second port can be used for the first heat exchange medium to flow in and out of the first heat exchange channel 311 , and the third port and the fourth port can be used for the second heat exchange medium to flow in and out of the second heat exchange channel 312 .
[0089] During the heat exchange process, the first heat exchange medium is introduced into the heat exchange circuit where the first heat exchange channel 311 is located to achieve heat exchange with the first load 10 and the second load 20. The second heat exchange medium is introduced into the heat exchange circuit where the second heat exchange channel 312 is located to achieve heat exchange between the first heat exchange medium and the second heat exchange medium in the first heat exchange channel 311 and the second heat exchange channel 312. For example, when it is necessary to cool the first heat exchange medium, the first heat exchange medium can be a coolant, such as water or ethylene glycol. The second heat exchange medium can be a refrigerant, such as Freon or liquid nitrogen compounds. The heat exchange circuit where the first heat exchange channel 311 is located forms a coolant circuit. The heat exchange circuit where the second heat exchange channel 312 is located forms a refrigerant circuit.
[0090] The valve body assembly 32 may include two four-way valves, designated as a first four-way valve 321 and a second four-way valve 322. The first four-way valve 321 and the second four-way valve 322 are respectively disposed on either side of the first heat exchange channel 311. Three of the four valve ports of the first four-way valve 321 are connected to the interface for connecting to the first heat exchange plate 11, the interface for connecting to the second heat exchange plate 21, and the interface for connecting to the radiator 42, respectively. The remaining one of the four valve ports is connected to one end of the first heat exchange channel 311. Specifically, three of the four valve ports of the first four-way valve 321 are connected to the first interface 301, the third interface 303, and the fifth interface 305, respectively. The remaining one valve port is connected to one end of the first heat exchange channel 311. Three of the four valve ports of the second four-way valve 322 are connected to the interface for connecting to the first heat exchange plate 11, the interface for connecting to the second heat exchange plate 21, and the interface for connecting to the radiator 42, respectively. The remaining one valve port is connected to one end of the first heat exchange channel 311. That is, three of the four valve ports of the second four-way valve 322 are correspondingly connected to the second interface 302 , the fourth interface 304 and the seventh interface 307 , respectively, and the remaining valve port is connected to one end of the second heat exchange channel 312 .
[0091] Any valve port in each of the first and second four-way valves 321 and 322 can be switched with the remaining valve ports by rotating the valve core, thereby connecting or disconnecting the connection paths between the first heat exchange plate 11, the second heat exchange plate 21, the first heat exchange channel 311, and the heat dissipation module 40, thereby forming multiple heat exchange paths. The specific connection of the heat exchange paths is described in detail in the following working method section.
[0092] During the heat exchange process, to promote the flow of the first heat exchange medium in the heat exchange circuit, pumps can be connected in series in the heat exchange paths of the first heat exchange plate 11 and the second heat exchange plate 21. For example, a first pump 33 can be connected in series between the first port 301 and the first four-way valve 321. The first pump 33 can be used to control the flow rate of the first heat exchange medium between the first heat exchange plate 11 and the first heat exchanger 31. A second pump 34 can be connected in series between the third port 303 and the second four-way valve 322. The second pump 34 can be used to control the flow rate of the first heat exchange medium between the first heat exchange plate 11 and the first heat exchanger 31.
[0093] In addition, in order to control the flow rate of the second heat exchange medium in the second heat exchange channel 312 , a first throttle valve 35 may be connected in series between the second heat exchange channel 312 and the seventh interface 307 or between the second heat exchange channel 312 and the eighth interface 308 .
[0094] Referring to Figure 2 , the thermal management module 30 of the present embodiment may further include a heater 38, such as an electric heater 38. The heater 38 may be disposed in the heat exchange circuit formed between the first heat exchange channel 311 and the first heat exchange plate 11, for example, between the second port 302 and the second four-way valve 322. When the ambient temperature is too low, the electric heater 38 may be used to heat the first heat exchange medium between the first heat exchange plate 11 and the heater 38.
[0095] Continuing to refer to Figures 1 and 2, the heat dissipation module 40 includes a second heat exchanger 41 and a radiator 42. The second heat exchanger 41 can be in contact with the radiator 42 to achieve heat exchange. The second heat exchanger 41 is provided with two interfaces, and the radiator 42 is provided with two interfaces. The two interfaces of the radiator 42 are respectively connected to the fifth interface 305 and the sixth interface 306 of the thermal management module 30 to form a heat exchange path between the radiator 42 and the thermal management module 30. One of the two interfaces of the second heat exchanger 41 is connected to the eighth interface 308 of the thermal management module 30, and the other interface is connected to the seventh interface 307 of the thermal management module 30 through the reversing module 50 and the compressor 60.
[0096] A fan 43 may be further provided on the side of the radiator 42 in the heat dissipation module 40 to accelerate the heat dissipation of the radiator 42 .
[0097] Continuing with Figures 1 and 2 , the compressor 60 is connected in series with the second heat exchanger 41 via the reversing module 50. The reversing module has at least two switchable medium flow channels to change the flow direction of the heat exchange medium from the compressor 60 to the second heat exchange channel 312. As shown in Figures 1 and 2 , the reversing module 50 includes a reversing valve 51, which can be a four-way valve. The first valve port of the reversing valve 51 is connected to the first heat exchange channel 311 via the seventh interface 307, the second valve port of the reversing valve 51 is connected to the eighth interface 308 via the second heat exchanger 41, and the third and fourth valve ports of the reversing valve 51 are respectively connected to the compressor 60. The compressor 60 is connected to the second heat exchanger 41 and the second heat exchange channel 312 via the reversing valve 51. Thus, the second heat exchanger 41, the reversing module 50, the compressor 60, and the second heat exchange channel 312 form a heat exchange pathway.
[0098] When the reversing module 50 is in the first operating state, the first valve port of the reversing valve 51 is connected to the third valve port, and the second valve port is connected to the fourth valve port. At this point, a medium flow path is formed within the reversing valve 51. When the reversing module 50 is in the second operating state, the first valve port is connected to the fourth valve port, and the second valve port is connected to the third valve port. At this point, another medium flow path is formed within the reversing valve 51.
[0099] In the heat exchange process, the second heat exchanger 41 can be used as a condenser or an evaporator.
[0100] The following, in conjunction with Figures 3 through 8 , explains the connections of the heat exchange circuits in different heat exchange modes for the temperature control system shown in Figure 2 . The first load 10, second load 20, thermal management module 30, heat dissipation module 40, compressor 60, and reversing module 50 are all connected via pipes. In the figures of the following embodiments, to facilitate differentiation between the connecting pipes, pipes for the first heat exchange medium are indicated by dashed lines, while pipes for the second heat exchange medium are indicated by blanks.
[0101] Heat exchange mode 1
[0102] FIG3 is a temperature control principle diagram of a temperature control system in a cooling mode of a compressor 60 according to an embodiment. As shown in FIG3 , when the temperature of the battery 12 in the energy storage device is too high and the battery 12 needs to be cooled, such as when the battery 12 is cooled in summer when the temperature is high, the four valve ports of the first four-way valve 321 are connected in pairs, such as valve port a and valve port b, and valve port c and valve port d. The four valve ports of the second four-way valve 322 are connected in pairs, such as valve port e and valve port f, and valve port g and valve port h. Referring to FIG1 , the first port of the first heat exchanger 31 is connected to the first interface 301 through valve port a, valve port b and the first pump 33. The second port of the first heat exchanger 31 is connected to the second interface 302 through valve port e and valve port f. The first interface 301 and the second interface 302 are respectively connected to the first heat exchange plate 11. At this point, the first heat exchange plate 11, the first pump 33, valve ports a and b of the first four-way valve 321, the first heat exchanger 31, and valve ports e and f of the second four-way valve 322 form a first heat exchange circuit. The first heat exchange medium in the first heat exchange circuit circulates within the first heat exchange circuit under the action of the first pump 33. During this process, the heater 38 between the first heat exchange plate 11 and the second four-way valve 322 does not operate.
[0103] Referring to Figures 1 and 3 together, valve port c is connected to the third port 303 via the second pump 34, valve port g is connected to the fourth port 304, valve port d is connected to the fifth port 305, and valve port h is connected to the sixth port 306. The third port 303 and the fourth port 304 are respectively connected to the second heat exchange plate 21. The fifth port 305 and the sixth port 306 are respectively connected to the radiator 42. Thus, the second heat exchange plate 21, the second pump 34, valve ports c and d of the first four-way valve 321, the radiator 42, and valve ports g and h of the second four-way valve 322 form a second heat exchange circuit. The first heat exchange medium in the second heat exchange circuit circulates within the second heat exchange circuit under the action of the second pump 34.
[0104] During the cooling process of the battery 12, the compressor 60 is in cooling mode. The second heat exchange medium formed after being cooled by the compressor 60 is the refrigerant medium. The first valve port A of the reversing valve 51 in the reversing module 50 is connected to the third valve port C. The second valve port B of the reversing valve 51 is connected to the second valve port D. The second heat exchange medium cooled by the compressor 60 flows through the fourth valve port D and the second valve port B to the second heat exchanger 41, and then flows through the second heat exchanger 41 to the fourth port of the first heat exchanger 31. It then flows through the first heat exchanger 31 and flows out of the third port of the first heat exchanger 31, and then flows back to the compressor 60 through the first valve port A and the third valve port C of the reversing valve 51. As a result, a third heat exchange loop is formed between the reversing valve 51, the compressor 60, the second heat exchanger 41, and the first heat exchanger 31.
[0105] During the cooling process, the heat generated by the battery 12 is absorbed by the coolant flowing through the first heat exchange plate 11, i.e., the first heat exchange medium. The temperature of the coolant increases, and the heated coolant flows into the first heat exchange channel 311. It is absorbed by the refrigerant flowing through the second heat exchange channel 312, i.e., the second heat exchange medium. The temperature of the second heat exchange medium increases, and then the second heat exchange medium flows back to the compressor 60 and is cooled again by the compressor 60. This reciprocating cycle achieves cooling of the battery 12.
[0106] Furthermore, the heat generated by the PCS during operation is absorbed by the coolant (i.e., the first heat exchange medium) flowing through the second heat exchange plate 21 and then flows to the radiator 42. At this point, the second heat exchanger 41 in the heat dissipation module 40 acts as a condenser to cool the first heat exchange medium in the radiator 42. The heat is absorbed by the second heat exchange medium flowing through the second heat exchanger 41, thereby cooling the first heat exchange medium in the second heat exchange circuit.
[0107] Heat exchange mode 2
[0108] Figure 4 is a schematic diagram of the temperature control system in natural air cooling mode according to one embodiment. As shown in Figure 4 , when natural air is used to cool the battery 12, such as in spring and autumn, the radiator 42 in the heat dissipation module 40 can be directly utilized for natural air cooling. In this cooling mode, the compression molding machine is stopped.
[0109] As shown in Figure 4 , the four valve ports of the first four-way valve 321 are connected in pairs, such as valve port a and valve port d, and valve port b and valve port c. The four valve ports of the second four-way valve 322 are connected in pairs, such as valve port e and valve port g, and valve port f and valve port h. As a result, the first port of the first heat exchanger 31 is connected to the third port 303 via valve ports b, valve port c, and the second pump 34. Referring also to Figure 1 , the second port of the first heat exchanger 31 is connected to the sixth port 306 via valve ports f and valve port h. Valve port a is connected to the first port 301 via the first pump 33, valve port e is connected to the second port 302, valve port g is connected to the fourth port 304, and valve port d is connected to the fifth port 305. The second port 302 and the fourth port 304 are connected via valve ports e and valve port g of the second four-way valve 322. The first port 301 and the second port 302 are respectively connected to the first heat exchange plate 11. The third port 303 and the fourth port 304 are respectively connected to the second heat exchange plate 21. The fifth port 305 and the sixth port 306 are respectively connected to the radiator 42. Thus, a serial heat exchange circuit is formed between the first heat exchange plate 11, the second heat exchange plate 21, the first heat exchanger 31, the first four-way valve 321, the second four-way valve 322, the first pump 33, the second pump 34, and the radiator 42. In this heat exchange circuit, after dissipating heat in the radiator 42, the first heat exchange medium flows sequentially through ports d and a of the first four-way valve 321 and the first pump 33 to the first heat exchange plate 11. After absorbing heat from the battery 12, the first heat exchange plate 11 flows through the second port 302, ports e and g of the second four-way valve 322, and the fourth port 304 to the second heat exchange plate 21. After further absorbing heat from the PCS, the second heat exchange plate 21 flows to the second pump 34, then through ports c and b of the first four-way valve 321 to the first heat exchanger 31. Since the compressor 60 is not operating in this heat dissipation mode, no heat exchange occurs in the first heat exchanger 31. After flowing through the first heat exchanger 31, the first heat exchange medium flows through ports f and h of the second four-way valve 322 and returns to the radiator 42 through the sixth port 306 for air cooling. This cycle continues, naturally cooling the battery 12.
[0110] Heat exchange mode three
[0111] Figure 5 is a schematic diagram of the temperature control system in the heating state according to one embodiment. As shown in Figure 5, valve ports a and c in the first four-way valve 321 are connected. Valve ports e and g in the second four-way valve 322 are connected. The first heat exchange plate 11 and the second heat exchange plate 21 are connected via the first four-way valve 321 and the second four-way valve 322 to form a heat exchange circuit. This connection utilizes waste heat from the PCS to heat the battery 12. No other components are required to participate in the heating process. The PCS generates heat during operation. This heat is absorbed by the first heat exchange medium in the second heat exchange plate 21 and then flows to the second pump 34. Then, it flows through valve ports c and a of the first four-way valve 321 to the first pump 33. After flowing through the first pump 33, the first heat exchange medium flows to the first heat exchange plate 11, where it absorbs the heat from the first heat exchange medium to heat the battery 12. The heat then flows back to the second heat exchange plate 21 through valve ports e and g of the second four-way valve 322. During this process, the electric heater 38 disposed between the first heat exchange plate 11 and the second four-way valve 322 may be used to heat the first heat exchange medium to increase the temperature of the first heat exchange medium, thereby further heating the battery 12 .
[0112] Heat exchange mode four
[0113] Figure 6 is a schematic diagram of the temperature control system in the heating state according to one embodiment. As shown in Figure 6 , when the battery 12 requires heating without supplemental heating from the PCS, the connection between the first and second heat exchange circuits is identical to the connection during the cooling process shown in Figure 3 . The difference lies in the connection between the reversing valve 51 and the compressor 60 in the reversing module 50. The connection between the first and second heat exchange circuits and the flow direction of the first heat exchange medium can be found in Figure 3 and will not be repeated here. The following describes only the connection between the third heat exchange circuit in detail. In the temperature control system shown in Figure 6 , the first valve port A of the reversing valve 51 is connected to the fourth valve port D, and the second valve port B of the reversing valve 51 is connected to the third valve port C. The compressor 60 activates the heating mode to heat the second heat exchange medium in the third heat exchange circuit. The heated second heat exchange medium flows only through the fourth valve port D and the first valve port A to the second heat exchange channel 312 of the first heat exchanger 31. The second heat exchange medium in the second heat exchange channel 312 heats the first heat exchange medium in the first heat exchange channel 311, raising the temperature of the first heat exchange medium. The first heat exchange medium transfers heat to the first heat exchange plate 11, thereby heating the battery 12. The second heat exchange medium in the second heat exchange channel 312 flows through the first heat exchanger 31 and then to the second heat exchanger 41. After passing through the second heat exchanger 41, it flows back to the compressor 60. The first heat exchange medium flowing through the second heat exchange plate 21 is naturally cooled by the radiator 42 and then recirculated to the second heat exchange plate 21, without participating in the heat exchange process between the first heat exchange plate 11 and the compressor 60. During this heating process, the second heat exchange medium only exchanges heat with the first heat exchange medium in the first heat exchange circuit to heat the battery 12. The flow direction of the second heat exchange medium in the second heat exchange channel 312 is the same as that of the first heat exchange medium in the first heat exchange channel 311, thereby improving heat exchange efficiency and effectiveness.
[0114] Heat exchange mode five
[0115] FIG7 is a temperature control principle diagram of a temperature control system in a heating state according to an embodiment. As shown in FIG7 , under this connection mode, the heat released by the compressor 60 and the PCS itself can be used to heat the battery 12 at the same time. In this mode, the first heat exchange plate 11 and the second heat exchange plate 21 are connected in series, and the first heat exchange plate 11 and the second heat exchange plate 21 are located in the same heat exchange circuit. Among them, the connection mode of the compressor 60, the reversing valve 51 and the first heat exchanger 31 is the same as the structure shown in FIG6 . The flow direction of the second heat exchange medium is the same as that shown in FIG6 and will not be repeated here. The difference is that the connection mode of the first heat exchange plate 11 and the second heat exchange plate 21 is different.
[0116] Referring to Figure 7 , valve ports a and b of the first four-way valve 321 are connected, while valve port c and d are connected. Valve ports e and g are connected, while valve ports f and h are connected in the second four-way valve 322. The first heat exchange medium in the first heat exchange plate 11 flows through the first pump 33 and valve ports a and b of the first four-way valve 321 to the first heat exchange channel 311. In the first heat exchange channel 311, it exchanges heat with the second heat exchange medium heated by the compressor 60 before flowing to the second four-way valve 322. The first heat exchange medium flows through valve ports f and h of the second four-way valve 322 to the radiator 42. After passing through the radiator 42, it flows sequentially through valve ports d and c of the first four-way valve 321 and the second pump 34 before flowing to the second heat exchange plate 21. After absorbing the waste heat from the PCS, the first heat exchange medium in the second heat exchange plate 21 flows through ports e and g of the second four-way valve 322 to the first heat exchange plate 11, where it heats the battery 12. The first heat exchange medium in the first heat exchange plate 11 then flows through the first pump 33 and ports a and b of the first four-way valve 321 to the first heat exchange channel 311. During the first heat exchange, it is heated by the second heat exchange medium, thus recovering the high-temperature first heat exchange medium. This repetitive cycle heats the battery 12.
[0117] During this process, the electric heater 38 located between the first heat exchange plate 11 and the second four-way valve 322 can be in a heating state to heat the first heat exchange medium in the first heat exchange circuit to further improve the heating effect on the battery 12.
[0118] Heat exchange mode six
[0119] FIG8 is a temperature control principle diagram of a temperature control system in a heating state according to an embodiment. As shown in FIG8 , when the external ambient temperature is low and the battery 12 can be heated by the electric heater 38, the battery 12 can be heated only by the electric heater 38. In this heating method, the compressor 60 is in an off state. The first heat exchange plate 11 is located in the first heat exchange circuit, and the second heat exchange plate 21 is located in the second heat exchange circuit. The specific connection method of the first heat exchange circuit and the second heat exchange circuit can refer to the structure shown in FIG6 . The details will not be repeated here. In this heating method, the electric heater 38 located between the first heat exchange plate 11 and the second four-way valve 322 can be directly used to heat the first heat exchange medium in the first heat exchange circuit, thereby heating the battery 12. The first heat exchange medium in the second heat exchange circuit can flow through the radiator 42 and be naturally cooled by the radiator 42.
[0120] As shown in Figures 2 through 8 , the temperature control system of the present embodiment, through the configuration of the valve assembly 32, can achieve various heating or cooling modes by simply adjusting the connection method of the valve assembly 32 and the connection method of the reversing valve 51 in the reversing module 50. This allows for heat exchange functions such as refrigerant cooling at high temperatures, heat pump heating at low temperatures, natural air cooling, electric heating, and utilizing PCS waste heat. This temperature control system has a simple connection method; simply pre-setting the connection structure of the control valve and reversing valve 51 for different heat exchange modes as needed can achieve multiple heat exchange modes.
[0121] Example 2
[0122] Figure 9 is a schematic diagram of the structure of a temperature control system. Referring to Figures 2 and 9 together, the temperature control system of the embodiment shown in Figure 9 differs from the temperature control system shown in Figure 2 in that the thermal management module 30 in the embodiment shown in Figure 9 further includes a dehumidification module 36 and a second throttle valve 37 connected in series with the dehumidification module. The dehumidification module 36 can be arranged in parallel with the first heat exchanger 31. Specifically, the dehumidification module 36 is arranged in parallel between the third and fourth ports of the first heat exchanger 31. Referring to Figure 1 together, one end of the dehumidification module 36 can be connected to the seventh port 307, and the other end can be connected to the eighth port 308. During the heat exchange process, a second heat exchange medium can be introduced. To control the flow rate of the second heat exchange medium in the dehumidification module 36, a second throttle valve 37 can be provided between the dehumidification module 36 and the seventh port 307 or between the dehumidification module 36 and the eighth port 308. The second throttle valve 37 controls the flow rate of the second heat exchange medium in the dehumidification module 36.
[0123] The dehumidification module 36 can operate synchronously with the first heat exchanger 31 or independently. The first heat exchanger 31 can also operate independently. The above functions can be achieved by controlling the closing degree of the first throttle valve 35 and the second throttle valve 37.
[0124] Example 3
[0125] Figure 10 is a schematic diagram of the structure of a temperature control system. Referring to Figures 2 and 10 together, the temperature control system of the embodiment shown in Figure 10 differs from the temperature control system shown in Figure 2 in that the temperature control system of the embodiment shown in Figure 10 further includes a bypass valve 52 within the reversing module 50. The bypass valve 52 is connected in parallel with the compressor 60. Specifically, one end of the bypass valve 52 is connected to the third valve port C of the reversing valve 51, and the other end is connected to the first valve port D of the reversing valve 51.
[0126] When the compressor 60 is in the heating state, the bypass valve 52 can be opened to reduce the pressure of the compressor 60 to prevent failure of the compressor 60. When the compressor 60 is in the cooling state, the bypass valve 52 can be closed.
[0127] Example 4
[0128] Figure 11 is a schematic diagram of the structure of a temperature control system. Referring to Figures 2 and 11 together, the temperature control system of the present embodiment differs from the temperature control system shown in Figure 2 in that the thermal management module 30 also includes a dehumidification module 36 and a second throttle valve 37 connected in series with the dehumidification module. The reversing module 50 also includes a bypass valve 52.
[0129] As shown in Figure 11, the dehumidification module 36 can be arranged in parallel with the first heat exchanger 31. Specifically, the dehumidification module 36 is arranged in parallel between the third port and the fourth port of the first heat exchanger 31. Referring to Figure 1, one end of the dehumidification module 36 can be connected to the seventh interface 307, and the other end can be connected to the eighth interface 308. During the heat exchange process, a second heat exchange medium can be introduced. In order to control the flow rate of the second heat exchange medium in the dehumidification module 36, a second throttle valve 37 can be set between the dehumidification module 36 and the seventh interface 307 or between the dehumidification module 36 and the eighth interface 308. The flow rate of the second heat exchange medium in the dehumidification module 36 is controlled by the second throttle valve 37. Specifically, the dehumidification module 36 can operate synchronously with the first heat exchanger 31 or operate independently. The first heat exchanger 31 can also operate independently.
