Description

A cable storage type photovoltaic module junction box

[0001] CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

[0002] This application claims priority to the Chinese patent application filed with the China Patent Office on August 30, 2023, with application number 202311101470.2 and invention name “A cable storage type photovoltaic module junction box”, the entire contents of which are incorporated by reference into this application. Technical Field

[0003] The present application relates to the field of photovoltaic power generation technology, and in particular to a cable storage type photovoltaic assembly junction box. Background Art

[0004] Photovoltaic modules are the core equipment for photovoltaic power generation. Their main components include glass, frame, solar cells, EVA / POP, backsheet, and junction box. The junction box, the outlet for the positive and negative leads of the PV module, consists primarily of a housing 1, electrodes 2, diodes 3, cables 4, and male and female connectors 5, as shown in Figure 1. Its primary function is to connect PV modules, either in series or parallel. Due to the large size of PV modules and the fact that junction boxes are typically installed in the middle or on either side of the module, connecting PV modules requires long cables. This leads to a number of problems. For example, after connecting modules, excess cable remains, requiring the excess cable to be bundled or buried in bracket grooves at the PV power station site. This not only wastes cable, but also damages the insulation of the cable due to excessive bending, resulting in an untidy and unsightly site. Furthermore, due to the long cables, the male and female connectors can rub against the back of the modules during production, transportation, installation, and maintenance. Since solar cells are very thin and fragile, such collisions can cause hidden cracks in the cells, affecting module quality.
