Description

Biodegradable composting device

[0001] The present invention relates to a biodegradable composting device.

[0002] More specifically, the present invention relates to a biodegradable composting device that allows biodegradable objects introduced into the tank through an inlet to be easily crushed and biodegraded by a compost and PLA (Polylactic Acid) fermentation and decomposition strain introduced by a control unit and a processing unit.

[0003] Biodegradable plastic is a plastic that is ultimately broken down into water and carbon dioxide by microorganisms in the soil or water. However, since general plastics hardly break down in nature or take hundreds of years to break down, and recently, marine pollution caused by plastic and waste disposal due to the increase in plastic waste have emerged as major environmental problems, it is receiving attention as one of the solutions to these problems.

[0004] Examples of such biodegradable resins include polyhydroxybutyrate-valerate (PHBV) produced by microorganisms, aliphatic polyesters such as polycaprolactone (PCL), polylactic acid (PLA), and diol-dioxide aliphatic polyesters. Diol-dioxide aliphatic polyesters include polybutylene succinate (PBS), polybutylene adipate (PBA), polybutylene adipate-terephthalate (PBAT), polybutylene succinate-adipate (PBSA), and polybutylene succinate-terephthalate (PBST).

[0005] In particular, PLA (Polylactic Acid) is a synthetic resin that is produced by extracting glucose from grains such as corn and fermenting it to produce lactic acid, which is then converted into a polymer. It is hydrolyzed by water to become low-molecularized and then decomposed by microorganisms.

[0006] Compared to other biodegradable polymers, it has excellent thermal processing properties, excellent usability, and excellent degradability, making it one of the most sought-after eco-friendly materials. It also has the advantage of being harmless to the human body, so it is widely used as a disposable product and medical material.

[0007] As one of the related technologies, a biodegradable resin composition containing polylactic acid is disclosed in Korean Patent Publication No. 10-1022786.

[0008] The biodegradable resin composition containing the above polylactic acid is characterized by comprising: polylactic acid; starch having an amylose content of less than 40 wt%; and a mixture of maleic anhydride and glycidyl methacrylate or a mixture of maleic anhydride and octenylsuccinic anhydride as a compatibilizer.

[0009] This prior art has the characteristics of improving biodegradability and heat resistance and increasing elongation at break by using a mixture of maleic anhydride and glycidyl methacrylate or a mixture of maleic anhydride and octenylsuccinic anhydride as a compatibilizer in polylactic acid.

[0010] As described above, while the technology for biodegradable resin compositions is gradually developing, the development of devices for processing such biodegradable resin compositions is insufficient, and biodegradation treatment is currently being carried out by simply adding strains to the inside of a tank and stirring them.

[0011] The present invention has been devised to solve the above problems, and the problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a biodegradable composting device that allows biodegradable objects introduced into the tank through an inlet to be easily crushed and biodegraded by compost and PLA (Polylactic Acid) fermentation and decomposition strains introduced by a control unit and a processing unit.

[0012] In order to solve the above-described problem, a biodegradable composting device according to the present invention comprises: a housing having an inlet formed on one side of an upper surface; an impact unit installed inside the housing and installed below the inlet to impact an object inputted through the inlet and to damage the object; a tank unit installed on an inner lower surface of the housing and configured to receive the object damaged by the impact unit; a processing unit installed in the tank unit and configured to crush and biodegrade the object; and a sensor module configured to detect temperature, pH, and humidity inside the housing, and a control unit configured to control crushing and biodegradation of the object by injecting compost and PLA (Polylactic Acid) fermentation and decomposition strains into the tank unit.

[0013] In addition, the impact unit is characterized by including a rotation means formed in a cylindrical shape and rotatably installed inside the housing and installed at the bottom of the inlet; an impact motor configured to rotate the rotation means; and a plurality of impact protrusions formed protruding from the outer periphery of the rotation means and configured to impact an object input through the inlet.

[0014] In addition, the processing unit is characterized by including a rotating shaft rotatably installed in the inner center of the tank unit; a stirring blade installed on the rotating shaft; and a processing motor configured to rotate the rotating shaft.

[0015] In addition, the processing unit is characterized by including a heating pipe installed inside the stirring blade; and a heating member configured to heat the stirring blade by supplying a fluid of a preset temperature to the heating pipe.

[0016] In addition, the stirring blades are characterized in that they are composed of a plurality of blades and are spaced apart at regular intervals along the longitudinal direction of the rotation axis.

[0017] In addition, the biodegradable composting device of the present invention is characterized in that it further includes a temperature control unit installed in the housing and configured to control the temperature inside the housing by blowing hot air of a preset temperature according to the temperature inside the housing detected by the sensor module of the control unit.

[0018] At this time, the tank section is characterized by comprising a first treatment tank configured to receive vinyl selected by the impact section; and a second treatment tank configured to receive foreign substances selected by the impact section.

[0019] In addition, the temperature control unit is configured to be installed at the upper portion of the first treatment tank and blow hot air, thereby guiding the vinyl selected by the impact unit to be received in the first treatment tank while curing the vinyl.

[0020] In addition, the biodegradable composting device of the present invention is characterized by further including a humidity control unit installed in the housing and configured to control the pH and humidity inside the housing by spraying water or an alkaline solution according to the pH and humidity inside the housing detected by the sensor module of the control unit.

[0021] In addition, the control unit is characterized in that it is configured to create a PLA biodegradation environment by introducing a PLA (Polylactic Acid) fermentation and decomposition strain composed of at least one of Bacillus Subtilis and Bacillus Licheniformis into the tank unit.

[0022] According to the biodegradable composting device according to the present invention, there is an effect in that biodegradable objects introduced into the tank through the inlet are easily crushed and biodegraded by the compost and PLA (Polylactic Acid) fermentation and decomposition strains introduced by the control unit and the processing unit.

[0023] In addition, according to the present invention, the rotating means is configured to be rotated by an impact motor, and a plurality of impact protrusions are formed protrudingly on the outer periphery of the rotating means to impact an object fed through an inlet, thereby primarily impacting the object fed through the inlet to cause the object to be damaged, thereby enabling crushing and biodegradation treatment in the tank to be more easily performed.

[0024] In addition, according to the present invention, a treatment unit configured to crush and biodegrade an object inside a tank is configured to include a stirring blade and be driven, so that the compost and PLA fermentation and decomposition strain inside the tank can be easily stirred while crushing and biodegrading the object can be performed.

[0025] In addition, according to the present invention, a heating pipe is installed inside the stirring blade and a fluid of a preset temperature is supplied to the heating pipe and circulated, so that the stirring blade stirs the compost and PLA fermentation and decomposition strain inside the tank and heats it to an appropriate temperature, thereby enabling biodegradation treatment of the target object to be performed more easily.

[0026] In addition, according to the present invention, the temperature control unit is configured to blow hot air of a preset temperature according to the temperature inside the housing detected by the sensor module of the control unit, thereby maintaining the temperature inside the housing at an appropriate temperature required for biodegradation of the object, thereby enabling biodegradation of the object to be performed more easily.

[0027] In addition, according to the present invention, the humidity control unit is configured to spray water or an alkaline solution according to the pH and humidity inside the housing detected by the sensor module of the control unit, thereby maintaining the pH and humidity inside the housing at an appropriate pH and humidity required for biodegradation treatment of the object, thereby enabling biodegradation treatment of the object to be performed more easily.

[0028] In addition, according to the present invention, the tank section configured to receive the target object and perform biodegradation treatment is divided into a first treatment tank and a second treatment tank, and biodegradation treatment is performed according to the characteristics of the target object to be selected, thereby having the effect of making biodegradation treatment of the target object more easily possible.

[0029] In addition, according to the present invention, a temperature control unit configured to control the internal temperature of the housing is installed at the top of the first treatment tank and configured to blow hot air, so that vinyl selected by the impact portion among the objects is guided to the first treatment tank while being cured by the temperature control unit, thereby facilitating the selection operation for the objects.

[0046] Hereinafter, a biodegradable composting device according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings.

[0047] FIGS. 1A to 1C are drawings showing a biodegradable composting device according to the present invention, FIG. 2 is a drawing showing the inside of a biodegradable composting device according to an embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 3 is a drawing showing an exemplary state of a biodegradable composting device according to the embodiment of FIG. 2, FIGS. 4A and 4B are drawings showing a processing unit of a biodegradable composting device according to the embodiment of FIG. 2, FIG. 4C is a drawing showing a processing unit stirring blade of a processing unit of a biodegradable composting device according to the embodiment of FIG. 2, and FIG. 5 is a drawing showing a control unit of a biodegradable composting device according to the present invention.

[0048] According to the attached drawings 1a to 5, a biodegradable composting device according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a housing (100), an impact unit (200), a tank unit (300), a processing unit (400), and a control unit (500).

[0049] The biodegradable composting device according to the present invention applies an impact to an object being fed into it and feeds compost and PLA (Polylactic Acid) fermentation and decomposition strains thereto, thereby crushing and biodegrading the object.

[0050] In particular, the biodegradable composting device of the present invention is configured to control the temperature, pH, and humidity inside the housing (100) by additionally being equipped with a temperature control unit (600) and a humidity control unit (700) described below, thereby creating an environment necessary for biodegradation of the object, thereby accelerating the biodegradation of the object.

[0051] The above housing (100) forms the exterior of the biodegradable composting device of the present invention, and is configured such that an inlet (110) is formed on one side of the upper surface to enable the input of the object.

[0052] The housing (100) may be made of a material having a certain level of strength or higher so that it is not easily damaged by external impact due to the nature of the case of the biodegradable composting device, and may be made of stainless steel so that there is no deformation due to internal temperature, pH, and humidity control.

[0053] At this time, the housing (100) may include a guide cover (120) configured to guide the object to the insertion port (110) so that it can be detachably attached to the upper portion of the housing (100).

[0054] The above guide cover (120) may include a cover insertion port (121) for inserting an object inserted by a user, and a guideline (122) configured to guide the object inserted through the cover insertion port (121) to the insertion port (110) of the housing (100).

[0055] That is, the above guide cover (120) is configured to prevent a safety accident from occurring due to the user's hand coming into contact with the impact portion (200) inside the housing (100) when the object is inserted through the insertion port (110) of the housing (100), and can be configured to insert the object at a position spaced apart from the impact portion (200) described below.

[0056] The above impact unit (200) is configured to apply an impact to an object inserted through the insertion port (110) to cause the object to be damaged, and is installed inside the housing (100) and at the lower portion of the insertion port (110) so as to easily apply an impact to an object inserted through the insertion port (110).

[0057] The above impact unit (200) may include a rotation means (210) formed in a cylindrical shape and rotatably installed inside the housing (100) and installed at the bottom of the inlet (110), an impact motor (220) configured to rotate the rotation means (210), and a plurality of impact protrusions (230) formed to protrude from the outer periphery of the rotation means (210) and configured to impact an object inserted through the inlet (110).

[0058] That is, the impact unit (200) is configured to impact an object that is inserted through the insertion port (110) while rotating inside the housing (100), thereby causing the object to be damaged.

[0059] In addition, the impact unit (200) may be configured to provide an impact to the object while also serving as a guide so that the object is introduced into the tank unit (300) after colliding with the impact unit (200).

[0060] The above tank part (300) is configured to receive the object in the form of a chamber, and is installed on the inner lower surface of the housing (100) to receive the object broken and guided by the impact part (200), and the processing part (400) is installed in the tank part (300) to crush and biodegrade the object.

[0061] That is, the tank section (300) is configured to serve as a place where biodegradation treatment of the object is performed, and the treatment section (400) is installed in the tank section (300) and configured to biodegrade the object contained in the tank section (300).

[0062] The above processing unit (400) may include a rotation shaft (410) rotatably installed in the inner center of the tank unit (300), a stirring blade (420) installed on the rotation shaft (410), and a processing motor (430) configured to rotate the rotation shaft (410).

[0063] That is, the processing unit (400) is configured so that the stirring blade (420) installed on the rotating shaft (410) is rotated by the processing motor (430), so that the compost and PLA fermentation and decomposition strains inside the tank unit (300) are easily stirred, thereby allowing the crushing and biodegradation of the target object to be performed.

[0064] At this time, the stirring blades (420) are configured in multiple numbers and installed at regular intervals along the longitudinal direction of the rotation shaft (410), thereby improving the stirring efficiency of the compost and PLA fermentation and decomposition strains inside the tank section (300) according to the rotation of the stirring blades (420).

[0065] In addition, the processing unit (400) may include a heating pipe (440) installed inside the stirring blade (420) and a heating member (450) configured to heat the stirring blade (420) by supplying a fluid of a preset temperature to the heating pipe (440).

[0066] The above heating pipe (440) is configured to increase the temperature of the stirring blade (420), thereby helping to maintain a temperature of 50 to 60°C required for biodegradation of the object, thereby further accelerating the biodegradation of the object.

[0067] In the present invention, a heating pipe (440) is installed inside the stirring blade (420) and a fluid is circulated through the heating pipe (440) to heat the stirring blade (420). However, depending on the implementation environment, the stirring blade (420) may be formed in a different structure as long as the stirring blade (420) can be heated without causing any problems in rotation of the stirring blade (420).

[0068] The above control unit (500) includes a sensor module (510) configured to detect the temperature, pH, and humidity inside the housing (100), and is configured to control crushing and biodegradation treatment of the target object by introducing compost and PLA (Polylactic Acid) fermentation and decomposition strains into the tank unit (300).

[0069] At this time, the compost to be fed into the tank section (300) may be commercially available compost, or compost obtained by mixing coffee grounds (grounds remaining after coffee production) with the commercially available compost may be used.

[0070] In addition, the PLA fermentation and decomposition strain introduced by the control unit (500) may use a Bacillus strain, which is a mesophilic strain. This is because, in order to enhance the strain fermentation and hydrolysis effect of PLA, the temperature must be maintained at 50 to 60°C, and a strain that is highly active at this temperature must be used.

[0071] Depending on the design conditions, mesophilic microorganisms such as Lactobacillus plantarum, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and Rhodobacter sphaeroides can be used. Alternatively, strains of the genus Pseudomonas and the genus Flavobacterium can be additionally used.

[0072] Most preferably, the control unit (500) may be configured to create a PLA biodegradation environment by introducing a PLA (Polylactic Acid) fermentation and decomposition strain composed of at least one of Bacillus Subtilis and Bacillus Licheniformis into the tank unit (300).

[0073] Meanwhile, the biodegradable composting device of the present invention may further include a temperature control unit (600) installed in the housing (100) and configured to control the temperature inside the housing (100) by blowing hot air of a preset temperature according to the temperature inside the housing (100) detected by the sensor module (510) of the control unit (500).

[0074] In addition, the biodegradable composting device of the present invention may further include a humidity control unit (700) installed in the housing (100) and configured to control the pH and humidity inside the housing (100) by spraying water or an alkaline solution according to the pH and humidity inside the housing (100) detected by the sensor module (510) of the control unit (500).

[0075] The above control unit (500) may be configured to control the temperature inside the housing (100) using the temperature control unit (600), and may be configured to control the pH and humidity inside the housing (100) using the humidity control unit (700).

[0076] Using the above configuration, the operation of the biodegradable composting device of the present invention to compost an object by biodegrading PLA is as follows.

[0077] Step 1: Add compost and PLA fermentation and decomposition strains to the above tank section (300) and stir.

[0078] Step 2: The temperature control unit (600) and humidity control unit (700) are controlled to control the temperature, pH, and humidity inside the housing (100), thereby creating a primary biodegradation environment.

[0079] Step 3: The object to be subjected to PLA biodegradation treatment is placed into the inlet (110) so that PLA biodegradation treatment is performed on the object.

[0080] Step 4: During the intermediate process of PLA biodegradation of the target object, the temperature, pH, and humidity inside the housing (100) are continuously checked and controlled to create a secondary biodegradation environment.

[0081] FIG. 6 is a drawing showing the inside of a biodegradable composting device according to another embodiment of the present invention, FIGS. 7 to 9 are drawings showing an embodiment of a biodegradable composting device according to the embodiment of FIG. 6, and FIGS. 10a and 10b are drawings showing a processing unit of a biodegradable composting device according to the embodiment of FIG. 6.

[0082] According to the attached drawings 6 to 10b, the tank section (300) of the biodegradable composting device according to another embodiment of the present invention may be composed of a first treatment tank (310) configured to receive vinyl (10) selected by the impact unit (200) and a second treatment tank (320) configured to receive foreign substances (20) selected by the impact unit (200).

[0083] At this time, when the tank part (300) of the biodegradable composting device according to another embodiment is composed of a first treatment tank (310) and a second treatment tank (320), it is preferable that the first treatment tank (310) be configured to be placed on the front side of the second treatment tank (320). This is because when an object fed through the inlet (110) collides with the impact portion (200), the vinyl (10) among the objects absorbs the impact and falls at a position adjacent to the impact portion (200), and the foreign matter (20) among the objects bounces off the impact and falls at a position spaced apart from the impact portion (200).

[0084] Meanwhile, the temperature control unit (600) may be configured to be installed on the upper portion of the first treatment tank (310). In this case, the hot air blown from the temperature control unit (600) may be guided to be received in the first treatment tank (310) while curing the vinyl (10) among the objects.

[0085] That is, the temperature control unit (600) controls the internal temperature of the housing (100) and simultaneously hardens the vinyl (10) to facilitate biodegradation of the vinyl (10) while guiding the vinyl (10) to be accommodated in the first treatment tank (310).

[0086] According to the present invention, there is an effect in that biodegradable objects introduced into the tank through the inlet are easily crushed and biodegraded by compost and PLA (Polylactic Acid) fermentation and decomposition strains introduced by the control unit and the processing unit.

[0087] Although the above description has presented and described various embodiments of the present invention, the present invention is not necessarily limited thereto, and a person having ordinary skill in the art to which the present invention pertains can understand that various substitutions, modifications, and changes are possible within a scope that does not depart from the technical spirit of the present invention.
