Description

Cooling device for pets

[0001] The present invention relates to a cooling device for a pet, and more particularly, to a cooling device for a pet that is fixed to a harness mounted on the body of the pet.

[0002] Nowadays, many households keep pets, and it is common to treat pets as members of the family, just like people.

[0003] Accordingly, various products for pets are being proposed. Examples include the pet entry door disclosed in Publication Utility Model No. 2010-0007869 and the pet shower disclosed in Publication Patent No. 2011-0065687.

[0004] However, dogs and cats, which are common pets, generally do not have sweat glands. Consequently, households that keep dogs and cats as pets employ various methods to lower their pets' body temperatures during the summer when temperatures rise.

[0005] For example, using air conditioning to lower the temperature in the area where pets live is the most widely used method, but this can have several drawbacks.

[0006] For example, on hot days like summer, when the owner has to leave the house all day, one option for the owner to protect the pet from the hot heat is to leave the air conditioner on all day, which can lead to increased electricity bills.

[0007] Additionally, since pets cannot control the air conditioner temperature, there were disadvantages such as the temperature remaining low regardless of the pet's wishes.

[0008] In addition, when pets go outside in the hot summer, they may be directly exposed to heated external air such as direct sunlight, which can cause a rapid increase in body temperature. In this case, there are limits to managing the pet's body temperature using portable fans, so a separate means of quickly managing the body temperature is necessary.

[0009] The present invention has been devised to overcome the above-mentioned shortcomings of the prior art, and aims to provide a cooling device for a pet that can be attached to a harness or leash of a pet to quickly lower the pet's body temperature, thereby enabling the pet to be active outdoors in the hot summer.

[0010] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a cooling device for a pet that is coupled to a harness mounted on the body of a pet or a leash mounted on the neck of a pet to lower the body temperature of the pet, the cooling device comprising a fixing part that is fixed to the harness and a cooling part that is detachably coupled to the fixing part, is cooled in advance, and comes into contact with the body of the pet.

[0011] Preferably, the fixing part is characterized by including: a fixing body that supports the entire fixing part; a receiving part formed through the interior of the fixing body to receive the harness; and a cut part formed on the upper end of the fixing body to be in communication with the receiving part.

[0012] More preferably, the cut portion is characterized by having a straight shape crossing the upper end of the fixed body.

[0013] More preferably, the fixed body is characterized by further including an attachment hole formed at the top to which a separate member can be mounted.

[0014] Preferably, the fixed body is characterized by further including a protrusion that is coupled to and fixed by the cooling unit at the bottom.

[0015] More preferably, the protrusion is characterized by including a protrusion body extending from the fixed body and an end portion formed at the end of the protrusion body to prevent separation of the combined cooling unit.

[0016] Preferably, the cooling unit is characterized by including a cooling body in the shape of a disk and a through hole formed in the center of the cooling body and coupled to the fixing unit.

[0017] More preferably, the cooling body is characterized in that it includes an outer shell and an inner space formed by the outer shell, and a coolant is injected into the inner space.

[0018] More preferably, the coolant is characterized by being any one selected from tetradecane, hexadecane and octanedecane.

[0019] Preferably, the cooling body is characterized in that two identical unit outer shells are attached to each other by ultrasonic waves to form an internal space, a coolant is injected into the internal space, and the remaining portion is sealed by ultrasonic waves.

[0020] More preferably, the unit shell is characterized by being made of TPU material.

[0021] A cooling device for a companion animal according to the present invention is fixed to a harness mounted on the body of a companion animal to reduce body temperature, and includes a fixing part coupled to the harness and a cooling part detachably attached to the fixing part, and the cooling part is cooled in advance by a refrigerator or the like by introducing a coolant into an internal space and used, and when necessary, only the cooling part can be replaced and used, so that companion animals can be active outdoors even in hot summer.

[0030]

[0031] As shown in FIG. 1, the cooling device (100) for a pet according to the present invention is mounted on a harness (2) or leash of a pet (1) and serves to reduce the body temperature by coming into contact with the pet (1), and a plurality of cooling devices can be installed on one harness (2).

[0032] The above cooling unit (100) is configured to include a fixing member (10) that is coupled to the harness (2), as shown in FIG. 2, and a cooling member (50) that is coupled to the fixing member (10) and comes into direct contact with the companion animal (1).

[0033] The above fixed part (10) is connected to the back of the companion animal (1) among the harnesses (2), and as shown in Fig. 3, includes a fixed body (11) that accommodates the harness (2) and a protrusion (20) that fixes the cooling part (50).

[0034] It is preferable that the above fixed body (11) be implemented in a circular shape, but it can also be implemented in other shapes.

[0035] The interior of the fixed body (11) includes a receiving portion (12) that receives the harness (2) and is formed to penetrate the side of the fixed body (11).

[0036] It is preferable that the above-mentioned receiving portion (12) be implemented with a square cross-section capable of accommodating the above-mentioned harness (2).

[0037] In addition, the upper part of the fixed body (11) includes a cut portion (13) that is connected to the receiving portion (12) and into which the harness (2) can be inserted to secure the receiving portion (12).

[0038] The above cut portion (13) is formed in a straight shape with a constant width at the top of the fixed body (11) and serves to guide the harness (2) so that it can be inserted laterally.

[0039] That is, the harness (2) can be inserted laterally into the cut portion (13) and then seated in the receiving portion (12).

[0040] Of course, when separating the above harness (2) from the above fixed part (10), proceed in the reverse order of the above method.

[0041] Meanwhile, the fixed body (11) may be formed at the top and include an attachment hole (14) for connecting other members.

[0042] Decorative accessories such as a zip-up bag can be mounted in the above attachment hole (14).

[0043] As shown in Fig. 4, the above protrusion (20) is formed by extending vertically from the lower center of the fixed body (11) to fix the cooling unit (50), and includes a protrusion body (21) extending vertically in a cylindrical shape and an end portion (22) formed at the end of the protrusion body (21) to prevent separation of the cooling unit (50) that is connected thereto.

[0044] The above end portion (22) is formed with a larger diameter than the above protruding body (21), thereby preventing the cooling unit (50) from being easily separated.

[0045] The cooling unit (50) is fixed to the protruding body (21) by passing through the end portion (22) with an appropriate pressing force, and the size of the end portion (22) is adjusted in advance so that it can be separated from the protruding body (20) when a pressing force of a certain level or higher is applied during separation.

[0046] The shape of the above protrusion (20) can be any shape that implements the above function, but it is preferable to configure it in an axially symmetrical shape with respect to the center.

[0047] In addition, it is preferable that the above-mentioned fixed part (10) be made of a material such as silicone, and it is preferable that the entire part be made of an integral body.

[0048] In addition, the material of the above fixed part (10) can be applied to general rubber and urethane in addition to silicone.

[0049] In addition, when the above-mentioned fixed part (10) is implemented by injection, it can be implemented with a TPE material, and the TPE material can be implemented with one material selected specifically from among TPS, TPV, TPO, and TPEE.

[0050] Meanwhile, the cooling unit (50) is configured to include a cooling body (51) configured in a circular shape as shown in FIG. 5 and a through hole (52) formed in the center of the cooling body (51) to accommodate the protrusion (20).

[0051] One end of the above through hole (52) may include an end hole (53) that accommodates the end portion (22) of the above protrusion (20).

[0052] A separate internal space (54) is formed inside the cooling body (51) and the through hole (52), and the internal space (54) is filled with a coolant (55).

[0053] Therefore, the cooling unit (50) is cooled in the refrigerator, then fixed to the fixing unit (10) and comes into contact with the pet's back to reduce the body temperature.

[0054] Of course, after a certain period of use, only the cooling unit (50) can be replaced and used.

[0055] Meanwhile, the cooling unit (50) is divided into an outer shell (61) and an inner space (54) formed by the outer shell (61) in a cross-sectional shape, and the entire inner space (54) is filled with a coolant (55).

[0056] From a manufacturing perspective, the outer shell (61) is made by overlapping two disc-shaped unit outer shells (62) made of TPU material and having a hole formed in the center, as shown in Fig. 6, and then high-frequency processing is performed around the outer surface to attach the two.

[0057] Afterwards, the attached unit shell (62) is turned over.

[0058] Afterwards, the coolant (55) is injected, and the area around the hole is sealed by high frequency treatment to manufacture the cooling unit (50).

[0059] When manufactured in the above manner, the cooling unit (50) can be manufactured using only the unit shell (62) and the coolant (55), so there is an advantage in that the manufacturing of the cooling unit (50) is advantageous.

[0060] Meanwhile, it is preferable that the coolant (55) filled in the internal space (54) is made of a material that can be rapidly frozen in a refrigerator or the like and can be stored at a low temperature for a relatively long time.

[0061] In particular, the coolant (55) may be composed of tetradecane, an organic material. Tetradecane has a melting point of 5.5°C and can rapidly melt, thus providing the advantage of quickly dissipating heat.

[0062] Additionally, the coolant (55) may be composed of hexadecane, an organic material. The hexadecane has a melting point of 18°C, and thus has the advantage of being usable for a longer period of time than the decradecane.

[0063] In addition, the above-mentioned coolant (55) may be composed of octadecane, an organic material. Octadecane, as an organic material, has a melting point of 28°C and has the advantage of being usable for the longest period of time compared to the above-mentioned materials.

[0064] That is, if rapid cooling is required, it is desirable to apply tetradecane material, and if it is required to be used for a relatively long time even if the cooling performance is poor, it is desirable to apply the remaining materials.

[0065]

[0066] Although the present invention has been illustrated and described above with respect to specific preferred embodiments, the present invention is not limited to these embodiments, and includes various forms of embodiments that can be implemented by a person having ordinary skill in the art to which the invention pertains without departing from the technical spirit of the present invention claimed in the patent claims.
