Abstract

[Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to provide a figure that can display a signed ball with a new appearance, and can satisfy a hobby interest of a viewer. [Solution] A figure 1 includes a placement surface 31 that has a curved surface which is complementary to a spherical ball B. Due to providing the placement surface 31, the figure 1 can be displayed placed on the ball B. The entire figure 1 may be curved along the ball B. The figure 1 includes a stand 6 that supports the ball B. The stand 6 is provided so as to be attachable to and removable from a body 11 of the figure 1. Consequently, the figure 1 can be displayed placed on the ball B while the ball B is displayed.

Description

Figures

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a figurine that can be displayed with a sphere.

[0002] As a small ornament, as shown in Non-Patent Document 1, a sphere on which a figure of an animal, a game character, or the like is placed is widely known.

[0003] Meanwhile, autographed baseballs signed by sports stars and the like are often displayed as interior decorations. For example, in the case of autographed baseballs, displays that can be placed on a pedestal resembling three bats stacked together have long been known, as in Patent Document 1. Patent Document 2 also introduces an autographed ball display stand that consists of a ball storage compartment and a pedestal made of transparent synthetic resin to protect the autographed ball.

[0004] The figure in Non-Patent Document 1 is constructed by integrating a sphere, which is particularly related to the character, with the figure, and therefore does not anticipate the figure being displayed alone, for example, in a configuration in which the figure itself stands up. Furthermore, there is always a demand for new ways to display signed balls and more interesting ways to display them.

[0007] Therefore, an object of the present disclosure is to provide a figurine that can be displayed alone or with an autographed ball for a more modern look.

[0008] In order to solve the above problems, the figure of the present disclosure has the following features: (1) The figure can be placed on a sphere, and the figure includes a placement surface having a curved surface complementary to the spherical surface of the sphere.

[0009] (2) In the figure in (1), the entire figure is curved along a sphere.

[0010] (3) In the case of the figure described in (1) or (2), the placement surface is provided on the back of the figure.

[0011] (4) In the figures of (1) to (3), the figure includes a main body and a base that supports the sphere, and the base is detachable from the main body.

[0012] According to the figure of the present disclosure, the figure includes a mounting surface having a curved surface complementary to the spherical surface of the sphere, so that the figure can be mounted and displayed on a sphere such as an autographed ball.

[0013] Furthermore, by forming a placement surface by curving the entire figure along the spherical surface, or by providing a placement surface on the back of the figure, it is possible to provide a figure that allows new ways of displaying the signed ball.

[0014] Furthermore, the figure includes a base that supports the ball, and the base is detachable from the figure body, so that the base removed from the figure can be used to display the signed ball, and the figure can be displayed on the top surface of the ball.

[0015] FIG. 1(a) is a perspective view of a figure of the present disclosure. FIG. 1(b) is a perspective view showing the figure placed on the spherical surface of an autographed ball. FIG. 2 shows (a) a front view, (b) a back view, (c) a plan view, (d) a bottom view, (e) a right side view, (f) a left side view, and (g) a cross-sectional view taken along line A-A of the figure. FIG. 3 shows (a) a front view, (b) a side view, (c) a plan view, (d) a bottom view, (e) a cross-sectional view taken along line B-B, and (f) a cross-sectional view taken along line C-C of the base. FIG. 4 shows (a) a side view of an example base modeled after a megaphone, and (b) a perspective explanatory diagram showing the figure placed on the autographed ball. FIG. 5 shows (a) a side view of an example base modeled after a hat, and (b) a perspective explanatory diagram showing the figure placed on the autographed ball.

[0016] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In the following description and each drawing, the up / down, left / right, and front / back directions of the figure in a standing position will be used as reference, as indicated by the arrows in Figure 1(a).

[0017] As shown in Figure 1(a), the figure 1 is a doll, and is composed of a main body 11 consisting of a head 2, a torso 3, arms 4, and legs 5, and a base 6 attached to the main body 11 so that the arms 4 are holding it. The main body 11 can stand on its own, and the base 6 is detachable from the main body 11.

[0018] As shown in FIG. 1(b), a signed ball B, which is a sphere, can be placed on the base 6 detached from the main body 11, and the figure main body 11 can be placed on the ball B.

[0019] 2, the head 2, torso 3, arms 4, and legs 5 are each connected and fixed, or are molded integrally. The material of the figure 1 is not particularly limited, but wood or resin can be used, which allows for easy processing of the facial expression of the figure 1.

[0020] As shown in Fig. 2(b), a mounting surface 31 for placing the figure 1 on the ball B is formed on the back of the body 3. As shown in Fig. 2(g), the mounting surface 31 has a curved surface that is complementary to the spherical surface of the ball B. Therefore, when the figure 1 is placed on the sphere in a lying position, the mounting surface 31 fits snugly against the spherical surface, allowing the figure body 11 to be stably placed on the ball B.

[0021] 1 and 2, ball B is a baseball, and the curved surface is complementary to the spherical surface of the ball B. However, if ball B is, for example, a signed soccer ball or a signed basketball, the curved surface can be modified to be complementary to the spherical surface of each ball. Also, in the present disclosure, the mounting surface 31 is formed on the back of the torso 3, but it is also possible to form the mounting surface 31 from the head 2 to the torso 3 and legs 4 of the figure main body 11, and curve the entire main body 11 along the top surface of a sphere, to express the appearance of the figure 1 lying on ball B.

[0022] The base 6 is a member that can be attached and detached from the main body 11, and when displaying the ball B, it is removed from the main body 11 and used with the sphere support surface 61 facing up. The size of the base 6 can be changed to match the size of the ball B. As shown in FIG. 1( a), when the ball B is not being displayed, the base 6 is held by the arms 4 as if the base 6 were being held with both arms. The base 6 only needs to be able to be held by the arms 4; for example, it may be provided with interlocking projections and recesses, or may be detachably attached using a magnet, hook-and-loop fastener, or the like.

[0023] 3( c), the base 6 includes a sphere holding surface 61 having a curved surface complementary to the spherical surface of the ball B. When the ball B is placed on the base 6, the spherical surface fits snugly along the sphere holding surface 61, allowing the ball B to be placed on the base 6 stably.

[0024] The base 6 may have any configuration as long as it can place the ball B thereon and can be integrated with the main body 11. For example, as shown in Fig. 4(a), the base 6 may be shaped like a megaphone held by the arm 4 of the main body 11. In this case, as shown in Fig. 4(b), the megaphone can be removed from the figure 1 and used as the base 6 for displaying the ball B.

[0025] Furthermore, the figure 1 may not have a base 6, but may have a shape resembling a hat 61 worn by the head 2 of the main body 11, as shown in Fig. 5(a). In this case, the hat can be removed from the figure 1 and used as a base 6 for displaying a ball B, as shown in Fig. 5(b).

[0026] The present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and the shape and configuration of each part can be appropriately changed without departing from the spirit of the present disclosure. For example, the figure 1 can be formed as a building such as a ball court or stadium related to the ball B, and any three-dimensional shape that can be placed on the ball B can be freely shaped as the figure.
