Abstract
Description
[0001] COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR MANAGING ALCOHOL AND
[0002] DRUG ADDICTION
[0003] FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0004] Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to the field of pharmaceutical compositions, and, more particularly, to compositions and methods for managing alcohol and drug addiction.
[0005] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0006] Generally, deaddiction, or the process of overcoming addiction to intoxicants, is a significant challenge faced by individuals and societies worldwide. Traditional methods of deaddiction often involve counselling, therapy, and support groups, but these may not be sufficient for all individuals. Moreover, there is a lack of commercially available allopathic medicines specifically designed for deaddiction, leaving a gap in the market for effective and accessible treatments.
[0007] As it is well known, previous attempts to address this problem have included the use of allopathic powders combined with homeopathic liquid drops. While these combinations have shown some success, they have been limited by extended treatment durations and a narrow range of intoxicants that can be addressed.
[0008] For example, patent number CN105250285B titled "Prevent and treat the composition and method of habituation" appears to relate to a method and composition for treating or preventing addiction or habituation. The invention disclosed therein seems to involve the use of specific compounds, possibly including Ciglitazone, Pioglitazone, Antalarmin, and others, to treat addiction in rats. The document mentions the inhibiting effect of collaboration to alcohol and the potential for reducing individual habituation in addiction. Specific receptors and antagonists are referred to, such as selective serotonin -3 (5-HT3) antagonist Ondansetron, -1 (CB1 ) receptor antagonist of cannboid Rimonabant, and mixed type opiates agonist / antagonist buprenorphine. This patent also refers to the possibility of using PPAR gamma agonist effectively with one or more other therapeutic agents for treating or preventing habituation, including addiction to various substances and behaviours.
[0009] In addition, another prior art literature bearing patent number US11141447B2 titled “Composition for treatment and management of addiction and method of preparation thereof’ discloses a composition for the treatment and management of addiction, along with the method of preparation. The disclosed herbal composition includes herb and mineral components that facilitate treatment. The composition may include aqueous or alcohol extracts of herbs, prepared using known techniques. Specific weight percentages of various components are detailed, including different herbs, minerals, and bhasmas (medicinal ashes). The method of preparation may involve drying, wet-granulating, and punching to obtain tablets. Graphical representations and tables illustrate the effects of the test drug on various symptoms and responses. As seen therein, the invention discloses usage of specific herbs like Phyllanthus niruri, Eclipta alba, Boerhavia diffusa, and minerals like Rajata bhasma, Tamra bhasma, Mandura bhasma, wherein the formulation process includes trituration, incineration, and purification, including heating and quenching in substances like sesame oil, buttermilk, cow urine, etc. However, none of the prior art literature references aims to solve several key problems in the field of deaddiction, as there are no known or recorded medicines for deaddiction available in the market, leaving a significant unmet need. Also, the traditional methods and existing solutions may not cover a wide range of intoxicants, limiting their applicability and effectiveness. Accordingly, there remains a need in the art for innovative, novel, efficient solutions for reducing alcohol and drug addiction.
[0010] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0011] The embodiments of the present disclosure have several features, no single one of which is solely responsible for their desirable attributes. Without limiting the scope of the present embodiments as expressed by the claims that follow, their more prominent features will now be discussed briefly. After considering this discussion, and particularly after reading the section entitled “Detailed Description”, one will understand how the features of the present embodiments provide advantages.
[0012] In one embodiment,
[0013] DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0014] Various embodiments of the present invention are aimed at providing novel and inventive solutions for compositions and methods for reducing alcohol and drug addiction. The present invention relates to the field of medicine, specifically to a unique formulation designed to aid in the deaddiction of individuals from various intoxicants such as alcohol, powders, ganja, bhang, cigarettes, and injections. The invention combines allopathic and homeopathic elements to create a powder that can be administered internally to achieve the desired deaddiction effects.
[0015] As seen herein, the "Mukti powder" invention addresses these problems by providing a novel and non-obvious solution. By adding a specific homeopathic deaddiction liquid to the existing allopathic powder, the invention has been observed to reduce the treatment duration to 80 days, an advantage of 10 days over previous methods. Furthermore, the invention covers a wider range of intoxicants, making it applicable to a broader audience, including youth and labor class workers. The invention stands as the first medicine for deaddiction available to the general public and offers an easy-to-use, limited-dose solution that can deaddict a person from any kind of intoxicants.
[0016] The invention presents a novel method for managing addiction to alcohol and various drugs, combining principles from both allopathic and homeopathic medicine. At the heart of the invention is a specially formulated composition comprising allopathic and homeopathic powders in a proper ratio. This composition is designed to be administered to individuals struggling with addiction, targeting specific physiological mechanisms related to addiction.
[0017] In use, upon administration, the composition acts to suppress the secretion of aldehyde dehydrogenase in the user. Aldehyde dehydrogenase is a key enzyme involved in the metabolism of alcohol, and its suppression leads to a unique physiological response. Specifically, the suppression of aldehyde dehydrogenase results in an increase in Acetaldehyde secretion in the user's blood after the consumption of alcohol or other intoxicants. Acetaldehyde is a toxic metabolite that, when accumulated, can cause a series of unpleasant symptoms.
[0018] Essentially, the increased Acetaldehyde levels induce symptoms such as vomiting, distress, uneasiness, and a sensation of burning in the user. These symptoms are not merely side effects but are central to the invention's method of action. By inducing these aversive symptoms, the composition creates a natural and powerful aversion towards intoxicants and alcohol in the user. Over time, this aversion aids in the deaddiction process, helping the individual overcome their addiction.
[0019] As may be seen herein, what sets this invention apart is its innovative approach to addiction treatment. Rather than relying solely on counseling, therapy, or existing pharmaceutical solutions, it offers a targeted physiological intervention. By focusing on specific enzymes and metabolic pathways, it provides a method that could be more direct and potentially more effective in managing addiction. Furthermore, the combination of allopathic and homeopathic elements in the composition reflects a holistic approach to treatment. It recognizes the complexity of addiction and seeks to address it through a multifaceted method that draws on different medical traditions.
[0020] In conclusion, this invention offers a promising new avenue for addiction treatment. By targeting specific physiological responses and inducing a natural aversion to addictive substances, it provides a unique and potentially powerful tool in the fight against addiction. Its innovative combination of allopathic and homeopathic principles may open new possibilities in the field of addiction treatment and offer hope to those seeking to overcome their addiction. In addition to the above, the present invention relates generally to the field of addiction treatment, and more specifically to the utilization of Quercus Q in various formulations for the management of alcohol addiction. As it is well known, alcohol addiction is a pervasive issue affecting millions of individuals worldwide. Traditional treatments often involve pharmacological interventions and behavioral therapies. However, there is a growing interest in alternative treatments, such as homeopathic remedies, to address this issue.
[0021] As disclosed herein, the instant invention comprises the use of Quercus Q, particularly in the forms of Quercus glandium spiritus Q and Quercus Robur 1x Tablets, as a remedy for alcohol addiction. These formulations are designed to alleviate specific symptoms associated with alcohol consumption and to reduce cravings for alcohol. In use, this formulation serves as a homeopathic remedy aimed at counteracting the effects of alcohol. It has been reported to alleviate symptoms such as vertigo and deafness. Additionally, it is claimed to reduce cravings for alcohol, thereby serving as an antidote for alcohol addiction.
[0022] Moreover, this specific formulation is indicated for alcohol de-addiction and is designed to address symptoms such as cravings for alcohol and giddiness. The tablets offer a targeted approach to managing alcohol addiction. Accordingly, this formulation serves the primary function of relieving alcohol addiction. While not explicitly detailed, the video implies a similar mechanism of action to the aforementioned formulations. While Quercus is one of several homeopathic medicines discussed for treating alcohol addiction, it is not explicitly listed in a broader context of drug addiction treatment. This suggests that the primary focus of Quercus-based formulations is on alcohol addiction. Henceforth, the instant invention provides a novel approach to treating alcohol addiction through the use of Quercus Q in various formulations. These formulations are claimed to alleviate symptoms and reduce cravings, offering a potential alternative to traditional treatments.
